ok random lore question guys, is the “C!Fail’s scythe fused with Hank and turned him into Floop” thing a misconception or just canon? just wondering since the rest of the lore clearly shows C!Fail using the scythe still with Floop as a separate being…? I’ve always assumed it was a misinterpretation of the Failtopia Final Cutscene (it always looked to me like C!Fail was using the scythe’s power to rebirth Hank) but maybe Dan straight up said Floop was fused with the scythe in the last bit of yapping after the Miitopia credits (i was TIRED watching it live so maybe I’m misremembering)

Either way it probably doesn’t change much of anything else if Floop was the original scythe for a multitude of reasons (replacing scythes has been shown before with Whale iirc) but I just wanna make sure I have my lore down with that final cutscene LMAO

yessss i succeeded in getting someone interested with only one out-of-context post!!

You may have seen the character designs i dumped a while back... haha i'm busy with a ton of different AUs and i work on them as the whims hit me

But! I can absolutely give a summary/explanation of this AU!

So yeah, this is obviously a human au, which is what got me started on the idea, but in the process of coming up with designs and backstories that matched those designs, i knew i needed a way to get all the characters together instead of being scattered all over the globe. and somehow i landed on boarding school XD

Dr Eggman is instead known as Professor Robotnik, or Headmaster Robotnik, or maybe Principal Robotnik, idk yet. He's not a villain, but that doesn't make him a good guy, dw. He's the head of a boarding school for "troubled children", which means a lot of the kids don't like him very much, as they are adverse to any authority figure. Doesn't help that he blatantly favors his own kids.... which does not necessarily include his nephew and unwanted bastard child...

His secretary and janitor are Orville and Cuthbert Bott, two brothers who have been employed by the Robotnik family for years, yet remain underpaid and overworked. they do their jobs well enough to not lose them, but they both have a soft spot for the kids, and will generally let them get away with everything. "we're not paid enough for this"

Since it's a troubled kids school, they all have a reason for being there, as it's essentially the last stop before juvie, though some are only there because their parent/caretaker works there and it's more convenient, since the campus is so far out of the way.

Nickolas "Sonic" Klassen and Miles "Tails" Prower both grew up in foster care - more or less. Sonic ran away often, and usually managed to stay out of the homes longer than he was in them. After meeting Tails in one of the homes and defending him, he always took the kid with him when he ran. The last resort was to place the both of them with a foster family that could send them to this boarding school, and didn't have too many other kids taking up space first.

This foster family is the Wachowskis, and the only other foster kid they have is Kamau "Knuckles" Abioye, who is also at the same school. He's an orphan from Africa, with albinism. With that and his less-than-stellar english and social skills, he gets provoked into fights a lot, so he's under close watch at the school.

Amelia Rose befriending him doesn't help, as she's also been sent there for "violent tendencies", aka she once broke a kid's arm with her big mallet, and had a habit of threatening bullies with it. Amy's iron mallet got confiscated before she arrived, so she gets a classmate/new friend to make her a new one out of wood from the school grounds.

Rouge Batson is 18, but she got held back a year due to how much school she missed while getting into trouble. Said trouble was mostly stealing from important people, and truancy, plus a few fights here and there.

Vanilla works at the school as either a nurse or teacher, possibly both? and so Cream goes to school there but is completely innocent of anything. The same goes for Espio and Charles (aka Charmy), as their foster parent, Vector, is the.... groundskeeper? or a truancy officer...? idk but he'd be the one to chase down runaway kids.

the story, if/when i eventually write one(most likely a comic), would start the semester that 15 year old Dominik "Shadow" Robotnik joins the school, freshly awoken from a months-long coma only several weeks before. (having had no time to process and grieve the deaths of his grandfather and sister)

i have no real plot yet, just character backstories, but this is just scratching the surface of the lore i created for them :D

hello, my sweet sweet tumblr friends. i have a new book out one month from saturday. here we are together, the book and i:

this one was fun. i wrote it with my sister! when we were young, we were cutthroat competitive. she (older) would forbid me from reading the books on her shelves, and i (gremlin) would booby-trap her room, so you decide which of us committed the greater sin. now we have a blast.

our names are pronounced REE-uh-nock and SHEE-fra, and our book was pitched as THE PARENT TRAP meets THE VANISHING HALF. it releases August 15th, 2023. logline is "Two half-Chinese half-siblings collide for the first time at a summer art camp, not knowing they're related—and begin to understand who they are as artists, as brother and sister, and as Asian-Americans."

it's a book about summer camp hijinks, about passing, about what we long for and where we belong. it also says "Robinson & Robinson" on the spine, which makes us sound like an accidental injury law firm. sweet.

of all the books with my name on it, this one is probably the "book club"-iest. if you like coming-of-age novels or stories about the AAPI diaspora, you might like this one :)

you can preorder a signed copy from my local indie here, or non-signed copies from Bookshop.org, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. i really cannot stress enough how much every single preorder helps, as i am what the industry calls "a midlist author," also known as "an obscure author who has difficulty placing projects with publishers because of sales figures lmao." Meet My OC's: Briar Rackham

Full Name: Briar Rackham

Age: 28

Gender: Fluid/Nonbinary

Sexuality: Ace spectrum, still figuring out their orientations because currently their only romantic interest is coffee and sleep. In that order.

Occupation: Grad student, also volunteers at science camps, mostly the kind where you hike into the woods and learn about nature. Also, now...monster hunter feels like a wrong term to them since, well, they kind of are a monster, but they help protect their area from any influences that want to harm people.

Physical Description: Briar is about 5'7", fairly well-muscled (but lean, hiker-type muscle). They have tanned skin, a few scars from being, well, mauled by a werewolf, dark eyes, and long dark hair (they hate cutting it). They do the androgyny thing pretty well, so it's hard to tell if they're a guy with long hair or a masc woman. Typical style is the "blazer-and-doc-martens" variety of gay, since they do TA for a good few classes. After the werewolf shit, they have had to start using a cane (more reasons later). This is the best I can do to imitate appearance for them--picrew linked here. (They're usually more personable looking but they are often tired).

Personality: Anyone in college knows the student who seems to do everything, all at once. Like, somehow, they take FAR too many credits, do extracurriculars, write their dissertation, have decent mental health. That's Briar. They kind of lost themselves in it, honestly--when you talk to them it almost feels like they're masking, but like that's how they ARE, at least at the beginning of this setting. In a group setting, they're pretty charismatic--they do really good thesis defenses, speeches about LGBTQ+ solidarity, college lectures, etc. One-on-one, they're a polite, reasonably personal people-pleaser who has no true friends and is estranged from their family. They insist it doesn't bug them. (It...might. Just a little.)

Other Important Stuff: Briar is a werewolf. They've been turned for about 6 months at the time of the first installment in this story. They deal with it pretty fine. Basically, they just lock their doors, let themselves fully shift, and just sleep it off. They call it a good excuse to get 8 hours' sleep. They...really don't have the self destructive wolfy instincts, the worst they've done is tore up some furniture and scratched up the door. They got the hang of being aware of themselves during a transformation and controlling it pretty fast, because, well...losing control is maybe their biggest fear.

Everyone would already see them as a monster if they knew. They can't act like that monster, or they won't be able to keep pretending they're not one.
