Random Evil Dead Fun Facts!
Because I'm hyperfixated on it :P
Originally, Ash was supposed to lose an eye in Army of Darkness, but this was scrapped.
Currently Evil Dead (2013) has the most fake blood used in a film, with 50,000 gallons being used. This isn't that suprising considering that during the final 10 minutes of the film, it is raining blood non-stop.
Freddy Krueger's glove is in the workshed in Evil Dead 2. This is a reference to how in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Nancy watched The Evil Dead. Ironically, that was a nod to how Wes Craven's "The Hills have Eyes" poster was in The Evil Dead. That in turn was a nod to how in The Hills have Eyes a torn Jaws poster is seen on the walls. Very confusing easter egg.
Ironically, Ash actually does say the correct words during the Necronomicon scene in Army of Darkness, but it's hard to hear due to Bruce Campbell coughing his way through it, which sounds like something Ash would do honestly.
Speaking of that scene in Army of Darkness, it is actually established that Ash isn't good at remembering phrases, shown by the scene in The Evil Dead, where Ash tries to recite a greek quote but fucks it up.
Evil Dead Rise confirms that the original trilogy takes place in the same universe as the remake and Evil Dead Rise. For one, they confirm there are three volumes of the Necronomicon, being the ones seen in Army of Darkness. The first Necronomicon, Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, was found by Prof. Knowby and read by Ash and his friends. The second book, Naturom Demonto, is the one Mia found in her family cabin and the final one, also named Naturom Demonto, is the one locked in the bank vault in Evil Dead Rise.
Each deadite in Evil Dead Rise has different eyes referencing the older ones. Ellie has unique silver eyes, Bridget and the neighbours have golden yellow eyes (like in the 2013 film) and Danny has pupilless white eyes (like in the original trilogy.)
The character names in Evil Dead (2013) start with letters that spell the word "DEMON" (David, Eric, Mia, Olivia and Natalie.)
Similarly, the building in Evil Dead Rise, the Monde, is an anagram for Demon as well.
A reocurring theme in the Evil Dead films, is a sister getting possessed and tormenting their sibling. This is shown with Cheryl and her brother Ash, Mia and her brother David, Ellie and her sister Beth and Bridget and her siblings Danny and Kassie.
All the characters in Evil Dead Rise are named after actors from the Evil Dead films, which I elaborate on here.
Originally Army of Darkness was named "Medieval Dead."
The original ending of Army of Darkness showed Ash waking up in a post-apocolyptic future, but it was changed to the more optimistic ending. Despite both Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell preferring the original ending, the redone ending was used to continue the story with Ash VS Evil Dead.
The original ending was also supposed to lead into Evil Dead 4, where Ash would've fought deadites in the future with robots and other futuristic tropes, but because the ending was changed this never happened. Ironically, the same thing happened to Ash VS Evil Dead, when Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger so that the next season could be in the post-apocalyptic future, but this too was cancelled.
The German version of Army of Darkness incorporates both endings. It starts with the deleted ending, where Ash incorrectly takes 7 drops instead of 6, but as he sleeps it cuts to black and says Ash began dreaming over the centuries. Then it cuts to the regular ending where Ash is in the supermarket and is hailed as a hero before cutting back to him waking up in the post-apocalyptic future. Ironically this is my favourite ending, but it's not-canon.
Evil Dead (2013) had a bunch of different endings before settling on the, supposedly, canon one. One ending had Mia simply leave and the film ends, another had her go to leave before being jumped by a demon (like in The Evil Dead's ending), another had her collapse on the road and get rescued only to reveal she was still possessed and another had her go to leave but start floating before she exploded. The canon one is likely the theatrical ending where she simply walks away, and since we never see Mia again we have nothing to confirm or deny this.
The Abomination from Evil Dead (2013) is inspired by the poster of The Evil Dead, which depicts a woman being dragged into a grave. The Abomination even does the same pose when it rises.
Speaking of The Evil Dead posters, the promo images for The Evil Dead, showed Bruce Campbell and Bridget Hoffman being attacked by a skeleton prop, and defending themselves with a chainsaw. Despite being in all the promotional images and being on the literal cover, Bridget Hoffman was not in the film, though it's likely she is supposed to be a stand-in for Linda. She also played a cameo role as a sword fighter in Army of Darkness, and the voice of the Lori doll in Ash VS Evil Dead.
In The Evil Dead originally it was written that the characters would be smoking weed whilst listening to the tapes, perhaps as a way to explain why they would willingly play the tape, and as a way to rationalise the characters dumb decisions for the rest of the film. This however, was scrapped when the actors did smoke weed for the shot, but got too high and became uncontrollable.
The opening shot of The Evil Dead was filmed by Sam Raimi who stood on a boat, whilst Bruce Campbell pushed him along.
One of the demon passages in The Evil Dead translates to "Sam and Rob are the hikers on the road" a reference to the fact that the two hitchhikers at the start of the film are literally Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.
During The Evil Dead, a cameraman slipped and dropped his camera onto Bruce Campbell's face, which caused several of his teeth to fall out.
Apparently during filming for Evil Dead 2, after one of the slapstick scenes Bruce Campbell heard somebody making funny noises above him and thought they were making fun of his performance, only for it to turn out that guy got electrocuted. I say apparently because even though Campbell said this himself, he could've been kidding.
Originally the idea with Evil Dead (2013) was that it would get a sequel, similar to Evil Dead 2 but with Mia, and then Ash's story would get a sequel with Army of Darkness 2, and then a third sequel would be made that would have Mia and Ash's stories merge and have the two characters meet, explaining the random after-credits scene in 2013. For some reason they never made the sequel to Evil Dead (2013) and the sequel to Army of Darkness was scrapped for Ash VS Evil Dead instead. The 2013 sequel was replaced with Evil Dead Rise, and Bruce Campbell has since retired as Ash in live-action.
In Japan, Army of Darkness is called "Captain Supermarket" probably being in reference to how Ash works in retail.
So far Evil Dead Rise is the only Evil Dead film without Ash's yellow delta, though apparently the chainsaw used by Beth is the same exact colour as the delta, being a double-reference.
Speaking of the delta, Ash's car appears in Evil Dead (2013), sitting abandoned in front of the cabin. It is most likely just an easter egg and has no lore implications.
Mia and David are half-siblings with different fathers. Originally it was intended for Mia to be Ash's daughter, but this was changed by Raimi. Ironically Ash did end up getting a daughter in the TV show.
Speaking of, Mia was supposed to appear in Ash VS Evil Dead, but it’s likely she wouldn’t have fit since her movie and experience was way darker than Ash’s, and she wouldn’t fit the tone.
The canonical reason Evil Dead (2013) is so similar to The Evil Dead is because the Necronomicon can cause history to repeat itself and likely lured the 5 friends to the cabin (which could also explain why some of the randoms are even here). This is why the 5 characters play very similar roles to the original film, Eric is Scotty, Natalie is Linda, Olivia is Shelly, and David is Ash whilst Mia is Cheryl. The reason Mia survives instead of David, and becomes more like Ash in the finale is likely that when David saved Mia, which Ash failed to do with Cheryl, the Necronomicon decided David should die and Mia should take Ash's role instead. It's also possible that David took the role of Annie in the finale, with him helping before being killed last second, but this is a bit of a stretch.
Bruce Campbell has two cameos in Evil Dead Rise. First is his voice being heard on the first tape Danny plays, where he plays a priest yelling “It’s called the Book of the Dead for a reason!” The second is simply the biting noises when Ellie bites Gabriel’s eye out, being Bruce Campbell furiously biting an apple.
Lee Cronin (Writer/Director of Evil Dead Rise) stated that Bruce Campbell’s cameo was intended to actually be Ash Williams himself. His reasoning was that Ash has found himself in the wrong time period a lot, and it would make sense for a time-displaced Ash to try and get rid of the Necronomicon in the past, before shit hits the fan.
Chet Kaminski was invited by Ash to go with them to the cabin. He chose not to come because Cheryl was also going and he didn’t want Ash to find out he was dating his sister as he feared it would end their friendship. This ultimately ended up saving his life.
In the Evil Dead films, the only characters to be possessed after they died were Scotty, Eric, David, Danny and the neighbours (Evil Dead Rise).
Shelly is never mentioned ever again after The Evil Dead. Scotty is mentioned once, in Ash VS Evil Dead.
Whilst shooting the recap scenes in Evil Dead 2, originally it was intended to have The Evil Dead be more closely followed, with Scotty, Cheryl and Shelly being there with Ash and not just Linda. Sam Raimi himself was going to play Scotty, but it was scrapped in favour of it being only Linda. It’s this recap that led to many fans and viewers being confused and assuming Evil Dead 2 was a retcon or remake when it was not. They couldn’t simply use footage from The Evil Dead due to licensing issues.

Evil Dead Rise | Deadite! Ellie x Female Reader
Summary: Being a babysitter for a single mom and her three kids shouldn't be this scary.
(Plotline follows the plot of the movie except the kandarian demon wins, of course.)
Warnings: Very nsfw, a lot of gore, oral sex, age gap, dub-con, multiple character deaths, and the kandarian demon is his own warning.
"See, doesn't this look so much better?"
You put the pink barbie hair brush on the table and handed Kassie her amalgamation of a plaything. Sitting on your lap were clumps of blonde plastic doll hair. The other two children looked at their younger sister and smiled at her profound weirdness for her self crafted guardian, 'Staffanie'.
"If she hurts someone with that, I'm blaming you." Beth took a look at your handiwork and simply shook her head.
"I'm also blaming you!" Ellie's playful voice chimed in from the kitchen. The two of you locked eyes for what felt like forever. Her piercing blue eyes were so beautifully expressive to you. They made every little expression she made for each of her different emotions look so elegant. You could only dream of having eyes like hers.
The eye contact between you two broke when Beth picked up her backpack and started passing around gifts. She handed you a rusty silver keychain that was in the shape of a guitar.
"Sorry, I got caught in the rain with this one. My bag was drenched." She clenched her stomach in pain and hunched over.
"Hey, you good?" You gave her a questioning look, and she offered you a pitiful smile. "Ate some shitty foreign food." You didn't question her further and the conversation moved on to the topic of Ellie's freshly dyed hair. Everyone at the table complimented her on it, but when it was your turn, her children looked at you with knowing faces.
"Oh, I almost forgot! I got this for your dad." Beth pridefully brandished the cheap tourist mug at the table, and everyone's faces fell flat.
"Uh, I'm going to take the kids to get pizza…" You expected Ellie to give you a look of approval, but she only kept her intense stare with her sister. There was a lot of sorrow and hurt within her eyes.
"Danny can do it. You can go home for the night. Thank you." The way she said was completely robotic and monotone, she was clearly upset, and you didn't want to press her on it. She hired you to babysit the kids while she worked, and that's all your job was, nothing more and nothing less.
Feeling out of place, you said goodnight to everyone, grabbed your stuff, and left. You weren't going to debate with her as they weren't your kids, and you've only known them for a couple of months. You had just moved in and needed a cheap enough place to stay that you can balance with your college tuition when she offered you the job.
Ellie couldn't afford to pay you after the first month, but you still stayed and helped out. With not having any kids of your own and barely knowing anyone in the city, you felt like you had a genuine family and a home away from home. You'd be a complete liar if you said you didn't have any kind of romantic feelings for the single mother.
You got in the elevator and watched as the kids came running behind you. They all had somber faces, but it was Kassie that leaned her face into your side and let you hold her until the elevator stopped at your floor.
"Don't fuck the pizzeria up please I like eating there too. Call me when you get back in the house." With that their eyes perked up and brightened and they all had smiles once again. The elevator closed behind you and you let your shoulders slump. You put the key in your apartment door and didn't even have to look in the mirror beside your front door to know your eyes were watery and you were moments from crying.
You felt like such an idiot, she hadn't even divorced yet, she was practically your boss, and she was old enough to be your own mother yet here you were catching feelings like they were sicknesses. You threw your guitar keychain against the wall and buried your face into your couch.
You were going to sleep this off. Yeah, that's exactly what you were going to do. Just get up in the morning and do your online classes while babysitting the kids and hope that this would all be swept over in the morning.
You hadn't even realized you dozed off face down on the couch until the room shaking awoke you. With hair strewn wildly across your face, you got down on the ground and braced yourself for the earthquake. When it was over and you were still alive you almost thanked God until you realized the kids had never called you to let you know they were home and the Earth had just decided to fucking shake a few moments ago.
With shaking hands, you snatched your phone off the floor and panicked when you realized there was no service. This was common after earthquakes but not at all good in your predicament. You left your stuff, and more than likely, your front door unlocked and ran upstairs just to see the kids coming out of the elevator.
"You're alright!" You were practically going to hug them until Ellie took all three of them into a tight embrace. Her black flower tattoo displayed beautifully on her arm as she pulled Danny closer.
Before you could back up, she used her left hand to give you a gesture indicating you to come over and join the hug. She didn't have to ask twice because you were over there in an instant. Her arm wrapped around you, and she pulled you tighter into the hug with the kids.
As the kids headed back into the apartment, they were complaining about the dropped pizza and you were going to go in too until Ellie stopped you. She gave her sister a look, telling her to go inside and give the both of you a minute alone.
"Listen I-"
"Wait. Let me speak."
She interrupted you by putting her finger in the air.
"You need to get some sleep. You look tired as hell. Get some sleep, and I'll call you later, or I'll go down to see you, and then we can have this conversation. Sounds good?"
You were too stunned to speak, so she put both of her hands around the sides of your head and made you nod 'yes' to her question.
"Now go get some rest." The way she leaned in was so close that your lips were almost touching. She was quite taller than you, so if you wanted to let your lips meet hers, you'd have to stand on your tippy toes to compete with her god-given model height.
With that, you went back downstairs feeling like you were on cloud nine without even having to get a kiss. Just the implication was enough for you. It was almost pathetic. You could bet you even had a bit of a skip in your walk as you returned back to your apartment. Once you got in, you took a hot shower and changed into some fresh pajamas. You were going to watch a movie, but there was still no service or cable connection.
You grabbed a couple of your textbooks and dropped them on the bed with a sigh. Ellie told you to get some rest, but you were far too excited to sleep. She told you she'd either call you or come see you after the kids were asleep and that had your all nerves on high alert. For her to think you'd go to sleep after hearing something like that was comical.
After a while you had your phone sitting on your desk far away from you so you could get some work done without having to check to see if you had service or see the time to see if there was still a chance of Ellie coming.
You had no indication of how time was passing unless you wanted to measure your growing anxiety and fatigue. It was getting to the point that it was becoming difficult just to keep your eyes open. They felt heavy, and if you didn't focus hard enough, you were sure you were going to fall asleep right there.
A gentle knock at the door startled you momentarily. That wasn't Ellie's usual knock, so you disregarded it to probably a tenant knocking at the wrong door.
The knock came again, albeit much more forceful this time.
"Ellie?" Your question sounded much more excited than you intended to out loud, and you were hoping she wouldn't think youb being too giddy about this whole thing was obnoxious. You got closer to the door and tried to look through the peephole. Someone's hand was clearly in front of it. There was nothing but darkness in what should have been a well lit hallway.
"I'm sorry I left you waiting, I had to do some laundry, and the kids wouldn't go to bed." Her voice sounded relatively normal, but something was clearly off.
"Are the lights out cause I can't see out of the peephole?" You had to pause for a minute and realize what you've just said. There was no reason to feel like you needed to see out of the peephole to let Ellie in. You two have known each other for months, and you trusted her. All that and yet your gut was still telling you that you needed to see who you were unlocking the door for.
"No, the lights are fine. And isn't it too late to start playing peekaboo?"
Her last remark sounded rather sarcastic, and you began to feel bad about making her wait. Carefully, you undid the door lock and the dead bolt and allowed the door to swing open. You felt too embarrassed about the whole situation and what happened earlier to even look at her when she came in.
She closed the door behind herself, and you plopped down on the couch. You moved your textbooks off the other side of the couch and stared at the black TV screen.
"So, uh- about earlier, I'm really trying not to get involved more than I already am, but -"
You were cut off when you started to smell something odd in the room. You sniffed the air more intently for a moment. Something just didn't smell right. The air smelled rotten if that was even how you'd even describe it. There was also something lingering with it, possibly sulfur. You finally turned around to look at her. She was staring dead in your face, as well as being much closer than you expected her to be.
You quickly got off the couch and your jaw practically dropped. You backed up from the sight in front of you and knocked a glass vase off the living room table. Shards of glass sprinkled themselves across the floor at your feet upon impact. You wanted to scream, but no noise would leave your mouth.
What stood in front of you was not Ellie. It was just wearing her as a costume for the time being... She was soaked in water, and her hair was practically still dripping onto the floor as if she had just taken a shower in all her clothes. Dark red splatters coagulated against her skin. It looked clumpy and uneven in some areas, meaning it was possibly a mixture of blood and scattered pieces of flesh.
Her face appeared gaunt and hollow, and those once beautiful eyes of hers were sunken and looked somewhat swollen. Her face stayed in the same expression you saw while you were sitting on the couch. She had the widest smile you've ever seen her with. It looked utterly unnatural, and like her skin was pulled in that direction.
"What were you saying again?" When she held out her hand to gesture for you to continue talking, you could see that it was visibly coated in blood.
She had a set of uneven black long claws on her fingers. Her nails were nothing like that when you saw her earlier. They looked like they belonged to some kind of feral animal, and they looked abhorrently dangerous.
"Ellie what happened to you-"
"-Finissssh what you were saying."
Her voice was abnormally deep and distorted, just hearing it made you feel like you should have dragged your own nails through your face until you felt bone. Tears began to fall from your eyes, and that only made her smile even wider.
"I was saying t-that, I don't want to get too involved in your life and with your kids." Her fingers indicated for you to go on, and you did.
"It's just- I like you, I always have."
Your hands went to your face to wipe off the assault of tears that were hurdling down. Ellie's smile dropped, and her facial expression fell flat. Her eyes were completely unreadable. It was almost like she was dead. She was silent for a moment, staring at you in an unnatural and unnerving way.
"That's so sweet of you to say… I'll pass the message down to Ellie and her fatherless children in hell."
You could feel your back press up against the wall as you wanted to do nothing more to put distance in between you and whatever this thing was. It seemed like the more you moved away from Ellie, the closer she would get to you, as if you two were moving in sync.
"What the fuck are you?!" That felt like a stupid question to ask as you weren't even sure if you wanted the answer. You could see a box cutter sitting on the window sill to your left, and you slowly moved in the direction while making sure to keep eye contact with this intruder.
"Where are the kids?" Your voice cracked up with a whine as it felt like your heart was sinking. Ellie, not answering either of the questions, caused you to sob and clench your chest. It just stood there and stared at you, as if this was funny to it. Once you were finally in front of the window, you gripped the box cutter tightly and held it behind your back.
The closer she moved toward you, the more of her you could see. Just looking at the open wounds and gashes on her made your stomach clench in disgust. There was a severed finger hanging on what appeared to be a tendon attached to her foot. The finger was small…
"Don't come any closer!" You held up the box cutter and ejected the blade. Ellie was unphased by your threat as she stepped slowly onto the shards of glass from the shattered vase. Her smile remained unwavering as the glass crunched under weight, and the soles of her feet began to bleed.
Her clawed bloody hand snatched up yours in what felt like the pins and needles against your skin from how tight of a grip she had. The grip made your hand squeeze painfully around the silver box cutter. The screams you let out were so loud as you hoped you woke up someone, anyone to come help you.
Involuntarily, your hand holding the box cutter began to move toward her face. All you could do was wince and look away as she made you carve into the delicate flesh of her forehead. The sounds of skin ripping under the blade felt like listening to nails on a chalkboard. You looked up at her and saw she had used your hand to carve a giant thick pentagram into her face.
The cackle she let out was so distorted and broken up that it sounded like she was choking. Her clawed hand wrapped around your neck, making you drop the box cutter, and she lifted you up and pinned you against the window. You shut your eyes tightly and tried to force yourself to believe you were sleeping and that this was all one long bad nightmare.
An impossibly long tongue slipped out of her mouth, and it grazed against the side of your face. Her licking you was only the dreaded reaffirmation you needed to know that this was in the real world and not your imagination.
"You think I can't smell that?" The expression of confusion was evident on your face while she held you up even higher.
Ellie took a long, deep inhale of the air before she exhaled. She did it again before her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Droplets of blood from freshly carved pentagram in her face leaked into her corneas and made it appear like she was crying blood. You had no idea what she was smelling in the air other than the putrid, metallic smell of the trail of blood she brought into your home.
"You reek of sin." She used her free hand to drag her claw up your leg and before stopping at your inner thigh. The burning sting of your skin being sliced made your knee jerk into her stomach, and she promptly responded by banging your head against the wall.
She resumed what she was doing prior to assaulting you, and you tried your hardest to stay still.
One of her bloody clawed fingers slipped into your pajama shorts, and you couldn't stop yourself from squeezing your legs shut.
"Uh-uh." She shook her finger at you in response, and her smile only deepened until you could see the internal pink muscles of her cheeks.
"You shut your legs now as if you weren't about to spread them for this whore." It would be fraudulent denial to act like you weren't the slightest bit aroused when you heard Ellie at the door, you thought you'd be getting laid not having to be battered around by this blood soaked pretender.
"You're not Ellie!"
"Does it matter?" The tone of her voice switched to its normal sound and depth as if this thing was trying to manipulate you. You were going to protest further until her hand creeped deeper into your shorts while you had your guard down, making you yelp. Her fingers ghosted over the folds of your cunt as you struggled desperately to get away.
"I slit the groupie's unborn bastard baby from the womb of her corpse, and I'll rip yours open next."
Within an instant you stopped moving and remained entirely limp under her grasp.
"See, now you're being good. Remember, only good girls get rewarded."
Your jaw dropped when she said that, as you would frequently tell the youngest child Kassie to prevent her from getting into physical altercations with her siblings with the promise of her favorite candy.
"I don't have any candy, but I may just let you walk away alive to tell their story." Ellie's sing-songy voice made you feel like that statement was a complete lie.
You responded in silence, and that made her giggle. It was Ellie's giggle, but the person holding you against the wall wasn't Ellie. They may have looked and sounded like her, but there was no indication of life behind those glassy eyes.
Slowly, she loosened her grip around you, and you began to slide down the window. You butt hit the window sill, and your back pressed back against the glass panes only to hear the wooden frame creak. This was an old and cheap apartment building, and you both knew that there was no way the window would support your weight being pressed against it.
"Imagine falling from this height." You didn't have to imagine it because your brain had already pictured the hundred different scenarios that could lead to you falling to your death. Her comment sounded more like she was curious about seeing you splatter and turn into a red stain on the pavement of the alleyway rather than a threat.
You were snapped back to reality when your shorts and underwear were yanked down your legs. Ellie sank down onto her knees, and both of your legs were pulled up around her shoulders. There was literally nothing you could do to get yourself out of this. There was no way you could save yourself because it's not like you even knew what this damned thing really was.
Her unnaturally long tongue creeped out of her mouth, and it slowly started lapping at your wet heat. This thing, it was teasing you. You were dripping wet, and it was going to tease you. It banged your head against the wall, crushed your hand, sliced open your thigh with one of its claws, and it was going to sit here and tease you… All while masquerading around in Ellie's body.
You bit your lip to keep a whimper from escaping your mouth and let your head hit back against the window panel. The window frame gave you another warning creak, and you just about sobbed. Ellie paid your crisis no mind as she used her tongue to rub wet circles around your clitoris.
Her tongue appeared incredibly darkened in color to the point it looked black, and the saliva dangling around it was abnormally thick. It was almost like a slime. It had been a while since you'd touched yourself, so your body felt far too sensitive for its own good. This senseless pleasure, unfortunately, did not distract your mind from how you would meet your impending death.
This thing in Ellie's body was just aching to kill you, and you doubted that letting it touch you like this would change its mind. For something so dangerous, she was using her tongue against you rather softly. The lewd noises that your body made in response to her generous licking held a veil of shame over your face. You've just never felt so conflicted like this.
When the tips of her black claws pierced your thighs, it was almost like she was reminding you not to get too comfortable. Your head practically slammed itself against the window when she thrusted her unusual tongue into your pleading hole. Several gasps left your lips as her tongue explored you internally and teased the insides of your walls, making your nails dig into the wooden window sill.
The window gave you another warning creak, and this one was far louder than the others. One of her hands left from around your thighs and relocated to between your legs and resumed the same movements her tongue did around your clitoris just this time, it felt much more aggressive. Her thumb applied pressure around your sensitive bundle of nerves while her tongue danced along the flesh of the insides of your walls.
That dead expression in her eyes never changed throughout any of this, those soulless blue orbs stared at you so intensely that you were worried at any moment she'd change her mind about sparing your life. The pace of her thumb quickened, and that familiar knot began to form in your lower stomach, indicating that you were getting close to climaxing.
Slowly but steadily, you were tetering at the brim of being on the edge of orgasming. Just when you could feel your cunt start to clench up, her tongue poked and prodded at your g-spot and as a response the muscles of your pelvis tightened up and you came brutally with a rocking of your hips. You could feel the gush of your release start to drip down over your puckered hole.
Without a warning, she completely stopped everything she was doing and removed her tongue from your slick heat.
"What did I do -"
A clawed hand tangled itself into your hair, and you weren't allowed to resist when she forced both of your mouths to connect. The pressure of the added weight against the window caused the glass panes to crack. That darkened black tongue slipped into your mouth and forced itself down your throat. It felt like she was trying to suffocate you to death with it. The taste of blood and the juices of your release overwhelmed the senses of your tastebuds.
The taste was intoxicating, and the lack of oxygen was making you feel lightheaded. After that, even your jaw was beginning to hurt. She yanked her tongue out of your mouth abruptly, and you watched the long appendage slowly slide back into her mouth. Those empty eyes stared at you for a moment without saying anything. You feared for the worse and tightly shut your eyes, praying that maybe the window would collapse before this thing could do whatever it had planned for you.
"I think I'll keep you."

I love Ellie’s inhumanity. I love her monstrosity.
When I think about any horror character I love, it’s always something wrapped up in the most inhuman aspects they possess, everything terrifying and horrible about them, and Ellie is no exception.
I love that she is brutal. She is mean and god-awful and despicable. That’s why I love Deadites as much as I do, they’re just plain evil, and it’s all just fun to them - chaotic, disgusting fun.
The little quirks she has that separates her possessed form from her human are my favorite little things about her. The way she can hardly form words and full sentences. The way she moves - crawls unsteadily, walks with a slant, jerking, swaying motions, the way she trembles and shakes while holding the cooking pan, even the way she attacks, all so animalistic, so monstrous, like she’s transformed into something trying to imitate, mimic her humanity but failing in the details.
She’s just a monster having fun.
#evil dead#evil dead rise#ellie evil dead#i really want to focus on how inhuman she is in writing#and how much i adore that part of her and how fucked up she is#like it’s hot that she can barely pass as human in her speech and posture#i just really love ellie okay

Evil Dead Rise (2023)
Don’t let the semi-comical (though extremely gruesome) pre-title sequence fool ya; Evil Dead Rise is not a horror-comedy. I can’t vouch for the Ash vs. Evil Dead television series, but 2013’s Evil Dead wasn’t funny either. Not even darkly funny. This franchise now has two modes: splatsick horror and visceral, unsettling terror. While you may not gasp in fright often, what happens in this film is so no-holds-barred that thinking back at it, I shudder.
After learning that she’s pregnant, guitar technician Beth (Lily Sullivan) visits her sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland), nephew Danny (Morgan Davies) and nieces Bridget (Gabrielle Echols) & Kassie (Nell Fisher). Then, an earthquake hits Los Angeles and causes a concealed chamber in their building’s basement parking lot to open. Inside, Danny finds a copy of the Necronomicon, as well as recordings of its passages. Once played, the incantations summon the demonic Deadites.
The main cast consists of two adults and three children. I figured the main cast would be "spared" (except for psychological trauma or minor injury) while everyone else in the building would get possessed by the evil magic of the Naturom Demonto. I was wrong. Writer/director Lee Cronin gleefully tears his characters apart, leaving piles of red goo and severed limbs all over the place. What’s particularly unnerving is that you have no idea how our heroes will make it out alive. Deadites are not zombies. Shooting them in the head only puts them down for a few minutes. Once they get back up, Deadites can use weapons, may wield supernatural powers (beyond rising from the dead) and they can talk. More than talk, they can strategize, deceive and taunt. That’s particularly relevant because Deadites are nasty. Not just physically; they don’t play fair. You keep expecting this to be like a possession movie, where you can exorcise the demons out of people and bring them back to normal, but that’s not happening.
The word to describe Evil Dead Rise is “deranged”. When you see the ways people and monsters get stabbed, shot, dismembered, shredded, grated, torn apart, impaled, mangled and mutilated, you wonder what sort of person dreamt up this nightmare scenario. I knew I was in store for something traumatic when the rental screen gave me chills - remember, it's just a still image. In action, it’ll have squeamish viewers running for the hills. In a way, I think the makeup and special effects artists might have overdone it. It’s not that they’re excessive, it’s that most people will be wincing and covering their eyes so much that if the visuals had been half as good, no one would notice. Try your best to keep your eyes open, however, there are some great monsters in this movie.
This fifth, standalone entry in the series pours on the viscera but it also takes the time to craft likable characters. This means you’re equally excited and nervous when the madness starts. Yes, Danny is warned by his sister not to touch the evil-looking book but he grabs it anyway because it looks fancy and most importantly, expensive. He thinks selling it might bring the family some much-needed cash. The relationship between several of the family members may be strained but you can tell much of the tension comes from the unfortunate circumstances that have been piling on top of their shoulders in recent months. Sometimes, our heroes do make mistakes that make their situation worse but more often than not, they’re making smart choices and in their defense, no one could ever be prepared to handle the torrent of hellfire unleashed upon them. Things are not completely hopeless, but it’s not looking good.
The only major flaw in Evil Dead Rise is the opening scene. Firstly, because it means everything is told in flashback. Being shown that more goes on after the events inside the high-rise end feels unfair. Even if the entire family makes it out alive, it’s rather bleak to know they weren’t able to contain the evil and that it lives” on. The second reason to criticize the opening scene is for its tone, which doesn’t match the rest of the movie. I wonder if it was made intentionally more splatsticky so that the die-hard fans of Evil Dead 1-3 would give this film a chance. There is something to be said about catering to your audience’s expectations, but it's inconsistent.
Evil Dead Rise is a frightening, unrelenting deluge of horror and gore that keeps you guessing, shows you something new, and gives you something to remember all while forcing its likable protagonists through the wringer. There aren’t any big names among the cast but I wouldn’t be surprised to see more than one make it big in the future. I was impressed. (June 14, 2024)

im loving all of your gay Ellie blurb posts that you’ve been sharing oh my godddd! we need morrrrre!!!
could you maybe do a post involving actual mommy kink? maybe something to do with how we/reader end up calling her mommy? is it something ellie demands? is it something reader accidentally says that ellie latches on to? howwww does it happen?
need more of maggot mommy and her obsession with us! im glad we all fell for her sniffing too!! haha
OMG my very first ask. 😭🥰
Thank youuu lsdfnlasdnf SO glad there´s ppl as obsessed as I am cause I´ve literally NEVER written out my thoughts about a character before (and there´s been many, many thoughts indeed) and yet Maggot Mommy just brings it out in me. She´s one of a kind and just- 🥵
Seeing as how there´s a poster literally saying "Come To Mommy" (I almost died) I can see why ppl are fast in hopping onto that train lmao.
Hmm, I´d like to think that, IF it was to happen, it´s when you´re not even aware you´ve said it. Like, you´re sleeping soundly (as soundly as can be with all the shit that´s going on in this cursed building - as in limbs being torn off left and right and screams of the damned all around and just the general sound of hell opening up to swallow you whole) and Deadite!Ellie is neck-deep into yet another part of you (you fear you´ve kinda gotten used to it by now or, at least, aren´t AS afraid of being munched on anymore) and then suddenly-
"...Mommy..."
And it´s not even said in a way that suggests you might be dreaming about certain things, no. It´s all breathy and barely audible and you´re actually starting to sweat a bit and your breath gets uneven. All signs that you are, in fact, in the middle of a nightmare and it´s been so long since you´ve seen your family (or ANY other form of life) and you just really want your Mom and it´s actually quite depressing and sad, really.
But well, for Maggot Mommy it´s anything but. In fact, she strains her ears and her head moves down and down in hopes to hear it again, to be certain. You see, her deceased, rotten brain is wired quite differently and all she can focus on right now is how good that word sounds coming out of your mouth and how it makes her tingle in all the right places.
So I guess if ANYONE is gonna develop a mommy kink it´s Maggot Mommy herself and you´re in for quite the surprise once you wake up and ALSNKLASDNFA I think Imma shut up now because I think I´m actually gonna write something out rn and I don´t wanna blabber on and spoil it lmao.
(Just a fair warning: it´s probs gonna get rather dark and messed up cause I love my monsters that way lol)
But that sniffing though? Dead, passed out, just-

so I got to see the evil dead on the big screen tonight - my first time seeing it in full! - and I loved it. I love deadite cheryl and can tell a lot of the inspiration for deadite ellie in evil dead rise came from her.
but it also reinforced my opinion that a lot of the reason people were such assholes about danny is probably transphobia.
of five separate characters, including ash, cheryl was the only one who said to turn the Bad Tape off.

Evil Dead Rise (2023)
Come get some!
Evil Dead Rise was a bloodbath! It's a vicious non-stop roller coaster ride all the way, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Aside from the Ash vs Evil Dead show, it's possibly the bloodiest of the past films thus far, practical effects galore, with the fresh grittiness of the previous 2013 entry, Evil Dead. A person sitting to the right for me was a bit skirmish by some of the body horror that occurred, so the film is definitely doing what it's set out to do. I was smiling and nodding much of the way through at how dark, creepy, and gruesome some of the scenes were. Maybe not to the level of The Sadness (2021 Taiwanese spooker), but still pretty well done. Alyssa Sutherland (Ellie) and Lily Sullivan (Beth) did grate 😉 and I look forward to seeing more of their work in future films. To have most of the event take place within the old LA-based apartment building reminds me of a lot of other spookers like Argento's Demons films, Child's Play, Rosemary's Baby, and even some Archive 81 with the extended lore. Some of the hallway, elevator scenes, and a child in mind remind me a lot of The Eye 2, Dark Water, and The Shining while the parking level was like P2 (2007 holiday horror). I did enjoy some of the punchlines from the character dialogue, especially from Kassie. I and few others in the theater couldn't help but giggle and laugh at some of the lines while still maintaining some of the bleakness of the 2013. A few nods here and there to past Evil Dead films are noted, which is always nice. Though, I was expecting to see more lore about the past of the building like what happened in the later half of Archive 81 (which had sadly been cancelled by Netflix). You can definitely see the contrast of how the family is like at the beginning to how they are like by the end of the film. Having this Evil Dead entry focus on a family is a good direction for the franchise that I feel would hit home for a lot of folks, so I'm glad they went this route. It would also pave way for even more strange hellish (Silent Hill-like) deadite designs for future iterations. By now, I've already heard and seen interviews with the cast members stating how some of the alternate endings would've been like, some of which didn't make it to the final cut of the film, but I'm hoping they would add them to the Blu-ray release at some point. Otherwise, I look forward to even grater Evil Dead films in the future! 🧀🐱 Find more of my movie reviews and whatever else I’m watching on Trakt and Letterboxd https://trakt.tv/users/roth https://letterboxd.com/Roth

The Mosley Review: Evil Dead Rise
It's a very rare occurrence these days for a well known franchise to continue after so many breaks inbetween films. Its especially rare for each sequential entry in said franchise to stay true to the style and format of the original film that started it all. The Evil Dead franchise has one of the strongest horror fanbases and like all of you Deadheads, I've enjoyed revisiting each film including the remake and the criminally underrated tv series. When a new film comes out, they tend to focus on the intense supernatural and grotesque horror that original started with versus the campy nature of sequels and the tv series Ash vs The Evil Dead. The wonderment and beauty of the first 2 films is that they stayed small scaled, sadistically violent and featured an obscene amount of gore. This film carries that same tradition and took a more personal approach to its story instead of going the traditional "scary night in a cabin" story. It was so refreshing and powerful in so many demented ways and it didn't pull any punches or waste anytime getting to the nightmare. What I truly loved this time is the family dynamic and their simple yet strong story that gives you enough to care about each character. The nightmare scenario that descends upon this cast was brilliant and each one of them had moments of blood soaked shimmer.
Lilly Sullivan takes the lead as the troubled roadie and aunt Beth. I liked that she has a life altering decision to make throughout the film and how it affects her decisions. She may be the career bound and black sheep of the family, but she is strong willed and dedicated to her extended family. Gabrielle Echols was great as the second youngest sister Bridget. I loved her chemistry with her siblings and how she helped keep the fun in the home going on before the tragedy. Morgan Davies was good and insanely obsessive as Danny. There's always one person in these films that kicks off all the supernatural mayhem and Danny was the one this time. Nell Fisher was excellent as the youngest sister Kassie and she was the last shred of innocence in the film. I loved that at anytime all the family members were in danger and Kassie was not spared at all. She was loveable and you really felt the danger once the horror targets her. Now the best performance in the film hands down goes to the mother of the kids and Beth's sister, Ellie, played wonderfully by Alyssa Sutherland. I loved that we got to know her character first and how much of a loving mother she truly was. It made it all the more heartbreaking to see her go through the intense transformation into one of the most demented Deadites I've ever seen. Her physicality, voice work and manipulation of emotions as a possessed mother that fought to keep her consciousness in the beginning was awesome. It’s when she is truly dead she becomes that unstoppable force of evil. She was absolutely terrifying and fun to watch in every scene and the way she uses her environment was inventive.
The score by Stephen McKeon was perfectly unsettling, boistress and haunting in the best ways. It didn't over take the film as the action delivered the scares, but the score delivered the chills. The sound design in horror films is one of the most essential parts and it was bone-crunchingly superb. The slicing and tearying of flesh, the splintering of wood and even the audio of the priest on the vinyl was creepy and unnerving. The makeup in this film was top notch for a fairly low budget horror film in this day and age. The demonic progression and decay on Ellie was outstanding and hard to look at. She unsettled me every time she was on screen and that is hard to do. The Evil Dead franchise has never been more alive than this and I can't stress enough how great this film was. It lives up to the legacy and builds onto an already strong foundation. Writer and Director Lee Cronin has made a new fantastic chapter in the franchise that satisfies and he should be applauded for his achaievement. This is definitely one of the best horror films of the year. Let me know what you thought of the film or my review in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

Evil Dead Rise
“Evil Dead Rise” banks entirely on Alyssa Sutherland’s performance and puts little into every other aspect of the movie.
Ellie is a single mother raising three kids on her own. Her sister, Beth, comes over to visit to tell her that she’s pregnant. During dinner, Beth accidentally brings up the sensitive topic of her husband, so the kids are asked to leave and get pizza. On their way back, the kids experience an earthquake. The earthquake causes an abandoned part of the apartment to reveal itself. The kids decide to explore and find a mysterious book.
The start of this movie was very promising. After thoroughly enjoying Fede Álvarez’s “Evil Dead” and seeing the high reviews for “Evil Dead Rise”, I was pretty excited. I love it when modern horror installments use contemporary ways to pay homage to the originals and there’s this great drone shot meant to emulate the Deadite POV shot from the originals. There’s also a surprising gore scene in the beginning that just threw me into the action and I couldn’t be more hyped. The opening title was also super creative, so I knew I was in good hands. Then, the movie comes to a grinding halt. We’re introduced to the main family and they just seemed like they hated each other. All of them seemed defined by one character trait, which made it hard for me to care about any of them. On top of that, the older brother’s dumb decision to explore an abandoned part of a decrepit apartment building that just witnessed an earthquake and was scheduled to be demolished next month annoyed the hell out of me. It’s such an idiotic move that only makes sense when you realize the script needs a way for this kid to find the book. Also, why was the book here anyways? 2013′s “Evil Dead” had clear rules for the audience to follow, but “Evil Dead Rise” seems content with not explaining anything. Then a huge chunk of the movie just revolves around the family slowly getting infected one by one. I’ll give credit where credit is due. Alyssa Sutherland is fantastic in this movie. She can definitely carry a horror movie on her back. There’s some decent gore throughout, but nowhere near the level of the previous entry. I think the filmmakers were trying to achieve a happy middle ground with the tone by having the comedy of the original trilogy and the brutality of the remake. For me, it missed more than it hit. The people in my theater seemed to enjoy it, so I guess it’s all subjective at the end of the day. Still, most of my theater was cackling at the trailer for “Strays”, so I don’t know how much I can trust them on what they think is funny. I think the ending of the movie missed the mark completely. This is a spoiler alert if you haven’t seen the movie already, but the Deadites become this human-flesh-spider amalgamation. This feels like the final boss of a video game, but doesn’t feel practical at all. They’re now slower, louder, less dexterous, and are a bigger target. I get that it looks creepy, but it just seems like a downgrade. After everything is done, the movie reminds you that the main chunk of the movie was technically a flashback. It reveals how the victims at the start of the movie were connected to the events that unfolded and it’s such a barebone connection that I don’t understand why they bothered with it in the first place. I definitely think this is probably the least inspired entry in this franchise. I know that most people are loving the movie so I’m in the minority here, but I thought it’d be worth detailing why I didn’t enjoy the movie like everyone else.

ok i’ve collected my thoughts on evil dead rise so under the cut i will share them hehe!! THERE R SPOILERS UNDER HERE!!! i talk abt what i liked and didn’t like and i talk specifically abt scenes!!!! if y’all wanna talk to me abt it more feel free to send me an ask, i’m abt to nap cus of cramps but i will answer them when i’m up <3 lmk if u agree or not and what ur fave scenes were!!!
so
i didn’t hate it! i’d say overrall this is a high three or a very low 4, but i don’t think i’ll be rewatching this any time soon :/ i def prefer the 2013 remake but this was still enjoyable and i had a good time watching it!!!
i think the problem i had was i had seen the trailers (which were all clips basically? at least the official ones i found on tik tok were clips from the movie) and had spoiled major moments of it for myself. normally i’m okay with and love spoilers but i think i would’ve enjoyed this one in particular more if the few scenes had been a surprise to me!!
things i loved: ELLIE!!!! holy shit, i truly think she stole the show. the difference in her as human vs as a deadite was so cool, i loved her mommy shtick she kept through out, and i think she was so eerie (i legit had a nightmare abt her killing me a few days ago before i had even watched the movie and that never happens) so!!!! i also liked the story and the change of setting, it being in an apartment and confined on that one floor (for the most part) was so interesting and i loved the difference in the book of the dead from the other movies AND the vinyl!!!! the gore was top notch and i saw lots of practical effects which will always make a movie at least 2 stars for me!! also the girl who played kassie was good AND she did her own stunt for the elevator scene which was so cool hehe. i liked the more subtle call backs to the past movies in the franchise more than the overt ones!!
i rlly liked the scenes of ellie in the hallway through the peephole and how there was blood dripping over it!!! i I LOVED THE SCENE WHERE ELLIE IS LAYING OK THE GROUND AND BRIDGET AND DANNY CRY OVER HER BODY BEFORE LAUGHING. it was such a good scene omg!!!! also the scene of bridget under the sheet floating down the hallway following danny and kassie GODDDDD!!!! and not to praise deadite ellie again but the way she moves was so cool hehe, i rlly liked how subtly off they all walked and how it felt like they were getting used to being in a body again!!!
i also loved the opening title card scene after the girl falls into the water!!!! seeing her rise up in a blasphemous way along w the title card and have it reflect in the water OH it was so good!!! and the scene where the girl is talking and saying the line of the book the other one is reading made me go 😦😦 so!!!
also im also glad they didn’t include a tree scene, but they payed homage w the elevator wires. that scene was unnecessary in the first movies and is one of my least fave parts of the franchise (especially with how Certain Fans treat it) so i’m glad they didn’t include it LMFAO
things i didn’t like: most of the acting 😔 i feel bad knocking the actors bc obviously i’m not one and idk how difficult it is, but the acting from the non-deadites really fell flat for me most of the time :/ the main girl, beth, was so close to mia in looks and attitude it just kept making me think of her which wasn’t good bc i prefer mia LMFAO 😔 the acting from bridget was rlly where i found the movie lacking though :/ some of the shots were def not my type of directing style but i know they’re all call backs to the franchise so i cant knock them too bad but the weird split screen stuff that happened (only 2 times???) was enough for me to text my friend and go “ew” LMAO. i also hated how under utilized the other characters were! the old man, the young guy who maybe had a thing with ellie, the 2 kids. it was rlly obvious they were there to boost the body count to me which sucked :(
also side note beth’s acting rlly annoyed me towards the end especially in the garage with the close ups of her face and her lip twitching but JDNWKDNWJ again thags a personal thing so i’m choosing to ignore it when i rate the movie
the baby stuff w beth was annoying as was the groupie thing but i think that’s just me so i didn’t count it against them hehe. the scene where all of the deadite are telling beth and kassie “dead by dawn” was so fucking cheesy i couldn’t find it in myself to be even a little unnerved which sucked bc i kind of loved the combining scene but it felt lack luster at the end… some of the character decisions were also so ridiculous and i KNOW it’s a movie but guys. stop leaving ur weapons embedded in them. TAKE THEM EITH YOU. PLEASE. i know it wouldn’t have helped but at the end why r u leaving it up to chance??? i also thought the ending scene was a little meh with her not noticing the blood filled parking lot until after she was in her car? idk and to add to that, the opening scene was kind of :/ but i liked the drone fake out they did

My Personal DBD Wishlist
So Dead by Daylight released the Year 9 roadmap, and Jesus Christ there are a LOT of licenses coming to DBD for this year and the next, so I wanted to share my personal wishlist for licenses, concepts and ideas that I want to go to DBD. Keep in mind, this is all my opinion and none of this is stuff that I think is coming, they're just things that I'd like to come, y'know?
A Second Silent Hill Chapter
Now this might seem pointless since we already have plenty of Silent Hill characters in the game, but we also have plenty of Resident Evil characters so let me dream. Personally, I'd want an outdoor Silent Hill map, showing the foggy streets. For Killer, I'd either want Walter Sullivan or Claudia Wolf, though depending on the killer power, it would work to have Claudia as the killer (to tie with Cheryl more) and have Walter be a Legendary. As for a survivor, I feel like Henry, Eileen and Harry are the only ones that could really work, since I don't think Vincent or Angela would suit the game very well. Similar to how Legion received Robbie the Rabbit cosmetics, I think perhaps Nurse should receive a Silent Hill Nurse cosmetic and maybe Hag could get a Sakura Head cosmetic. Again, this is all a personal wishlist so I doubt this will ever happen but it's fun to pretend.
A Second Saw Chapter
Yes, we're doing this. So for a map, I'd go with the Catacombs from Saw 5, where the Fatal Five's games occurred. That way we would be able to explore multiple trap rooms, just like how Gideon's Meat Plant goes through multiple trap rooms from Saw 1-3. It wouldn't have to be an exact replica, the Meat Plant map sure isn't, so some other locations could even be thrown in there like the Glass Coffin room. As for characters, I'd personally go with Mark Hoffman as the killer, and either Jill Tuck or Peter Strahm as the survivor (or maybe both.) I think having a full-blown new chapter might be a little too much, especially considering that Mark and Amanda would act the same way, so a second idea would be that Amanda receives a bunch of Legendary cosmetics changing her to the other apprentices (Hoffman and Lawrence), with the only issue really being that those characters also wear pig masks, but to that I say Legion all has the same mask, yet there's four of them so hush. Tapp could get Legendary cosmetics that change him to Jill or Peter, or hell even Adam and Matthews could get in on the action.
A Second Evil Dead Chapter
So Evil Dead is one of the most iconic slashers of all time and it was completely ROBBED in DBD. Sure Freddy was kinda screwed over, and the TCM chapter didn’t even come with a survivor or map, however Evil Dead personally means more to me and it just sucks to me that they could only get AVED Ash, and not the iconic Evil Dead 2 Ash, or hell, even AOD Ash would’ve been nice. In my dream, hypothetical second Evil Dead chapter, I’d give Ash an Ultra Rare that turns him into AOD Ash. I’d also include a killer, either Evil Ash or Deadite Cheryl, and I’d either add Mia as a new character, or make her a Legendary for Ash. If Deadite Cheryl was the killer, I’d include Ellie and Linda as Legendaries, and if Evil Ash was the killer I’d probably give him a Baal skin.
An X Chapter
I think an issue with DBD is the lack of modern horror licenses. Sure we have Stranger Things, but that’s already over 5 years old. We haven’t gotten any modern characters beside them. Granted, there isn’t a lot of iconic horror films releasing nowadays that aren’t reboots or sequels, so that’s hard however X is an iconic and new franchise. Pearl as the killer, Maxine as the survivor, it’s perfect. You could argue Pearl being younger would make it confusing between her and Maxine since they look the same, however if Pearl is given animations that look unique enough, she’d be different enough to Maxine to not confuse them.
More Resident Evil Legendaries
So with Silent Hill, I wanted another chapter despite the abundance of content however with Resident Evil, I feel like we don’t really need entirely new characters. Resident Evil already has 2 killers and 4 survivors (4 killers and 9 survivors if you count Legendaries) whilst some licenses don’t even get 1 killer (Evil Dead my beloved.) Despite this, I still do wish for more content. Resident Evil just has so many iconic heroes and villains that are great for killers and survivors, however to include all of them would take up like 20 chapters and by that point it wouldn’t be fair at all to the other licenses who get nothing. I personally really hope for Lady Dimitrescu and her Daughters to come as Legendaries, the only issue being that I can’t tell who they should replace. In my head, I can kinda see Dimitrescu being a skin for maybe Plague but the power doesn’t fit that much IMO. Same problem with Dimitrescu’s daughters, I’m just not sure who they could be if not new characters. It’s simple for characters like Barry, Sherry and Ashley to be introduced, just make them skins for Leon and Jill, but it’s way harder to introduce new unique killer skins. My other bet would be to have Lady Dimitrescu be a skin for Nemesis, and have her daughters as the zombies, but that feels like too much work.
A House of 1000 Corpses Chapter
I’m not even sure what their powers would be or if there’d be a survivor or not, but I’d want the Firefly Family in this game, asap. I’d either have their chapter come with 2 killers, Captain Spaulding and Baby Firefly, with them both getting legendaries that change them to Rufus and Otis respectively, similar to Legion. Again, not sure on power, since they’re just regular killers, but I’d want Baby and Otis to be more psychotic and quick, with Spaulding and Rufus being slow heavy-hitters. Instead of the house, I’d have the gas station as the map, with most of it being outdoors but including a small indoor area with the front registers and the dark ride. It would be similar to the Greenville map.
A Junji Ito Chapter
This one is a bit of a unique one, since very other one here has a movie or game models to base themselves off of. Junji Ito has manga and anime, with irrelevant live action movies, so if they added anybody they’d have to make them fit the style. Although Junji Ito is my DREAM chapter, I didn’t think it would work… until now… Since Castlevania recently got added, they adapted the video game/anime designs for DBD and they look amazing. Not only are they anime-ish but also fit DBD’s art style, but they look good and not uncanny/bad. My point is, now I 100% believe they could add Junji Ito characters with no problem. My dream would be a mix of multiple stories, so Tomie would be the killer, Kirie/Shuichi would be the survivors and we’d get legendaries of characters like Souichi and Fuchi.
A Fatal Frame Chapter
This is one of those ones I highly doubt is going to happen, but I would love it either way. I'd go with the Silent Hill route where we get a map, a killer and a survivor with the survivor getting multiple Legendary cosmetics to account for the magnitude of popular protagonists in the franchise. I'd personally have the default be Rei Kurosawa since she's arguably the most popular protagonist, and she would come with Legendary cosmetics that turn her into Ruka, Yuri, Mio, Miku, Miu and Misaki. The killer could be Sae Kurosawa, though honestly any of the ghosts could work as the chapter's killer. As for a map, I feel like the best one would be Minakami Village, however again, any of the maps could work, hell maybe they could even do the Saw route, where they merge a bunch of locations into one map. The killer could have a new unique item, similar to how Sadako comes with tapes, or Xenomorph comes with turrets, the killer could come with cameras.
Springtrap
Yeah, yeah, very original I know. The truth is, I'm a huge FNAF fan and have been for a long time, and even though Springtrap is not my favourite animatronic in the series, he's definitely the most popular and the only one who could really work as a "main killer" (especially since the other animatronics have mostly become "good guys.") Of course, they could always bring in Legendary cosmetics to turn him into Freddy or something, but for now, Springtrap works the best and a lot of people want him so why not? Edit: YIPPEE!!
Elvira
I know survivor-only chapters are less fun than killer-only chapters since survivors are basically just skins, but shut up. Anyways, we’ve already had celebrity cameos, with Nicolas Cage, who is technically a horror actor but isn’t strictly known for horror like some better characters. DBD is branching away from horror nowadays, but I’d still love to see horror themed celebrities make appearances. Elvira is the biggest one I can think of, known was an iconic horror legend for being a gothic host for horror films. Her connections to horror would make her great for DBD, as she would have lots of comedic lines relating to these slashers she’s now with, similar to Nicolas Cage.
A Proper 2v8
So they recently announced 2v8, however it's only with the original 5 killers and a select few survivors. I understand they want to test the waters, and also they are adding new things and gameplay mechanics to their mod, however, I personally just want a regular 2v8. Two killers, 8 survivors, just that. No classes, no weird new mechanics, just regular DBD with double the characters. Of course some things would have to be changed so that it's not unfair, but not to the point of it being a completely different thing.

heres my review that nobody asked for (:
the opening scene, the first elevator scene w ellie, and the fused deadite monster at the end are the best parts. honorable mention to the shining elevator homage, that was cute. loved that its almost entirely practical effects (all the main characters had stunt doubles). didnt love the timeline lasted 1 day-1 night. overall i liked it. v mean spirited, v raimi. lots of fighting & gore to the extent of being corny but *we love that.* i think the scare factor woulda been higher if they’d given some dynamic to the energy cuz once it got into it, it stayed w one energy til the end. the crater from the earthquake reminded me of drag me to hell. also the deadites referred to dreaming a few times which feels like it could be a significant. & with this one being centered around a family too i wonder if the shining tie-in is deeper than the one scene?

am way too exhausted to post my full thoughts rn but i liked evil dead rise (: i do feel like the characters and themes (especially the theme of motherhood and what defines a mother) could’ve been explored further, which admittedly that drove me a bit nuts and kind of weakened the film for me — but i did like it! the family felt very relatable, like people i’d meet irl, so i was sad to see them put in that situation. i was actively dreading seeing ellie turn into a deadite and if the film made me care that much then i’d say it’s a success.
#sid speaks#having a trans actor as one of the leads was also really cool#especially since him being trans doesn’t even come up in the film. he just Is#and that’s not the most interesting thing about him bc the movie highlights his hobbies first and foremost#i will say the movie really could’ve used some dark comedy to lighten the mood#it was a heavy watch at certain points though i wouldn’t go so far as to call it depressing#and it definitely wasn’t as graphic as ED2013#so how much you enjoy this film will definitely depend on your taste#i give it a 3.5/5 myself#evil dead rise spoilers /#just in case
