hi, an anon who has raved to you about xiaotian and yue's relationship several times already. finally had time to read chapter 21 and I ADORED it and it was so soft and their so cute and. *chef kiss* mwah! delectable! they make my harm so warm and make me go feral! cannot wait to see what more you do with them! the reveal about the Heart of the World is everything I hoped it to be and more. If anyone else finds out that Yue and Xiaotian just casually went in there I cannot wait for them to freak out about it like that tour guide did.

also, love what you done with spider queen. she is a Business Woman who works for what she wants and what she wanted was the celestial primates and she is so valid for that. will we mayhaps see or hear from her in the future?

Haha, I'm happy that this chapter met your expectations! The tour guide scene was especially fun to write. Unfortunately (and fortunately for Xiaotian), Yue's family doesn't know the area enough to know about the "Heart of the World". They're tourists. And they were waaaay too busy to even hear about it, much less know that their daughter went gallivanting there with a boy.

Tbh, if they ever DID hear about Yue (and Xiaotian) doing the impossible, they'd just chalk it up to her sealing skills and tendency to pull off the impossible. She's Sun Wukong's daughter, after all.

As for the Spider Queen...I mean, she's still alive, right? And the Celestial Primates might not be interested in having her fifth wheel into their relationship (Shadowpeach and Iceflower are happy with each other, occasional relationship squabbles aside), but they're certainly interested in becoming loyal customers.

The Spider Clan makes the most exquisite clothes, especially from their private collection 😉

Dazai made people think he was uncaring & heartless, when this was his intention all along (he does this in Stormbringer & Dead Apple too)

Obamitsu drabble post finale

The calm before the storm. Obanai told Sanemi all of the training they endured was the calm before the storm. A harbinger of the times ahead. Why did he have to be right? The sensation of impending doom as he dashed towards the Ubuyashiki Manor. The smell of gunpowder, fire, smoke, blood, and human flesh burning filled his nostrils. His eyes widened as he was met with the sight of Muzan, the Demon King. 

All of the other Hashira were here and everyone made their move at the same time. Everyone was in sync and ready to strike the demon. His grip tightened over the hilt as he prepared his first form. Kaburamaru hissed in response. 

Out of nowhere the strings of a biwa were struck and a trapdoor appeared beneath his feet. He fell just like he had inside the castle Sanemi and he visited months ago. Lanterns illuminated the hallways, columns, floors, landings, and other structures that crafted the castle. His head turned to the side as he took in the sight. Hundreds of demons peered out of the doors and windows. Their beady eyes were predatory and waiting for him and the rest of the Hashira to drop to the floor. The fall would kill them if they were not prepared. If this demon filled castle was to be his end he would welcome it. 

Now he felt himself weightless, suspended in the air. His pinstripe haori flew around him. Kaburamaru coiled tighter around his neck to ensure they stayed together. All of this would have been fine except when he looked upward he saw Mitsuri falling above him. 

No.

Obanai understood the type of future he was entitled to. None. But Mitsuri? She had the whole world before her. A family waiting at home. Those who loved her dearly and would miss her if she perished. His insides twisted painfully. 

Not her. 

He reached up with a trembling hand as if he could grab hold of her haori. They were falling indefinitely, unable to stop what was to come. There was no way to protect her. Who knew it would happen like this?

The storm was here and the end was near.

Another reason why Episode Nagi is a shoujo manga

One thing from Episode Nagi chapter 21 hit me hard. I mean the moment when Nagi was thinking about how Reo believed in him.

No one had ever placed hope in Nagi before. He himself has also never shown any initiative before. Nagi didn't seem like a person who would do something or be motivated to act because he believed in himself.

It wasn't until he realized that someone believed in him. Thanks to this faith, he began to act. And when there was no one around who believed in him, he was left with faith in himself.

However, Nagi would never believe in himself unless someone (Reo) believed in him first. Without it, he would still remain passive and do nothing with his life.

When I noticed this dependence, I immediately thought that a similar philosophy was presented in Fruits Basket (shoujo manga).

I'm specifically talking about story of Kisa, who had problems getting along with her classmates. She received a letter from a teacher who briefly advised her to like herself first so that others would like her.

However, Yuki did not agree with this.

When someone likes you, you will like yourself.

When someone believes in you, you will believe in yourself.

In both cases, the entire change depends on the other person. The character won't do much on their own because they need some motivator to influence them.

In Fruits Basket, this should not be surprising, because it is a shoujo manga that will focus on interpersonal relationships.

However, for example, in the main series of Blue Lock, where Isagi is the protagonist, the main character does not really need anyone's help for his development, because he is his own cause. Isagi does everything himself. Yes, he uses the help of others, but it is not perceived that way. He didn't need anyone else to believe in him to believe in himself. (Yes, this could be an example of his initial relationship with Bachira, when Meguru immediately began to have great hopes in Isagi. However, I don't see it as "Oh, Bachira believed in me, now I believe in myself! I wouldn't have gone this far, if it weren't for him.", because Isagi very quickly began to notice his own possibilities, which he was entitled to himself).

But Nagi is not like Isagi. He couldn't do anything on his own. He needed someone who would believe in him. If it weren't for Reo, his life would have come to a standstill. He would have no reason to believe in himself or work on himself.

Nagi is more like a shoujo protagonist who needs the presence of another person to initiate his development. He doesn't necessarily need this person all the time in order to continue to develop, but he certainly wouldn't be able to make any changes in his life without their constant presence in his mind.

And Episode Nagi (compared to Blue Lock) does not focus just on the independent development of the main character, but also devotes a lot of attention to his relationship with another person.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist in Blue Lock. It's just more emphasized in Episode Nagi, in a shoujo manga style.
