hi!! may i request some headcanons on what its like sleeping (like literal sleeping) with leon??
This is so cute 🤭 My inbox is almost empty yall! Get those ideas ready for when I reopen it!
Sleeping with Leon headcannons. (Literally)
female reader, slight nsfw
First off, this man is a cuddler. He’s very needy by nature, so when you’re in bed together he wants to be right up next to you. He loves spooning you, and breathing in your sweet scent as you both fall asleep. He drags you back into bed when you try to get up, he doesn’t want to let go of you. It’s difficult to get up anyway when a two-hundred pound man of muscle is sprawled out all over you.
If it’s too hot for cuddling he’ll just settle for holding your hand from across the bed. Or he kicks off the blankets and cuddles you anyway.
Sometimes after you spend a night screwing each other silly, you wake up naked against one another. He likes feeling your warm body against him, and maybe he’s even still tucked inside your cunt after last night’s activity’s.
When you are not around he finds it very difficult to fall asleep. He just needs you next to him, and when you are not he’s very, very lonely.
The bed you two share is incredibly plush and soft in your shared home. It’s king-sized, to give you both enough space to squirm around during the night, and you have a few fuzzy and fluffy blankets thrown over the comforter. Leon normally takes the right side, while you get the left.
Leon snores too, but not insanely loud, just soft, cute little grunt-like noises. He’s a little squirmy, so you may get kicked every once in a while, and he’s quite a heavy sleeper. He once slept through an insanely loud thunderstorm.
Sometimes he talks in his sleep, and most of it is absolute nonsense.
“I have to get past the Pikachu to get to the Bulbasaur to get to the filing cabinet to see if I’m a robot or not.”

Leon Proposal and Wedding Headcanons
i understand the poll is not over yet, but this is the clear winnder! i've been watching a ton of wedding content recently, so i was so jazzed to receive this request. thanks anon!
features: gn! reader and 1 mild sexual refernce. other just pure fluff! also not proofread
Enjoy!
Now that he’s no longer champion
Leon has his sights on a much more important title
Husband
And the first step to gaining that title?
Finding a wonderful, awesome person that he loves and loves him back unconditionally?
He’s already got that covered!
Spoilers! It’s you!
Now he has to take the next step
The proposal
With Lee, I can see this going two ways, depending on the kind of person you are
If you’re someone who loves the spotlight, a fellow elite-class trainer and/or a major celebrity
I can totally see him proposing to you in front of a massive crowd in Wyndon Stadium
After an intense heart-pounding match
If you’re his opponent, when you go to shake his hand after the battle, he’ll take it
And drop down on one knee
If you’re just watching the match, he’ll call you out to the pitch
As the new head of the Galar League, he’s already got the staff clued in, no surprises with them
You walk onto the pitch to a roar of applause, having an inkling of what’s about to happen, where Lee gives you a kiss, takes your hand and get into position
Presents to you a little velvet box
And gives a heart-warming but brief speech
He’d love to go on, really pour his heart out… but some of the things he wants to say are just for your ears only
The whole time the audience is waiting on bated breath
With the occasional holler of “Go Leon!” and “Say Yes!”
Somebody did shout “Say no! I wanna marry him first!”
Which admittedly made you chuckle
The whole proposal is being broadcasted on the big screen, and across the region, maybe even the world
Which means, when you say – no, exclaim - “Yes!”, It’s the yes heard around the world
The crowd goes W I L D
Just an eruption of clapping and hollering and screaming
But you don’t register it at all
No, you’re too focused on the love of your life, slipping a gorgeous ring on your finger
And taking you in his arms
So warm, and strong, and perfect
He holds you to his body like you’re the most precious thing to him
Which you are
“I love you,” you hear him whisper in your ear
Your answer comes in the form of a passionate, triumphant kiss
Which makes the crowd go even crazier
Now, if you’re someone who’s more introverted, private and/or not a fan of public proposals
I imagine it’d go a little something like this;
It’d be a proposal in your shared home
And he’ll pull out all the stops to make it as romantic and as cosy as possible
He’ll secretly take a half day from the battle tower to prepare everything while you’re busy with work/school/etc.
The whole living room will be transformed
I’m talking candles (with your favourite scent)
Bunches upon bunches of favourite flowers
An arch decorated with said flowers
And so many photos of the two of you together from your relationship
Plus, ones of you that he just thinks are cute
He’ll prepare your favourite meal or order your favourite takeaway too
And he’ll wait by the front door, practically buzzing with excitement (and a touch of anxiety)
I mean, he’s pretty sure you’ll say yes
But he has an old, toxic friendship with doubt so, it’ll always be there, whispering falsehoods
You arrive home
Greeted by the sight of your purple haired himbo
And the lovely display he’s set up for you
It’s not your birthday, so you know something special is afoot
Even though, you’re certain it’s going to end with a proposal, you still end up feeling surprised
He takes your hand and walks you through all your memories together, reminding you how much you mean to him, how lucky he is to have you, how you’ve always been there for him, how much he loves you
And how he can’t imagine his life without you
It would be too painful
All ending with him getting on one knee under the arch of your favourite flowers
You’re crying, he’s crying
As you say “Yes!” and share a tight embrace
No matter if his proposal is public or private, the wedding is DEFINITELY private
That celebration of your love with you friends and family, just isn’t for the world to see
Except a few photos on social media a week or two later lol
It’ll be cute, quaint rustic affair
Probably in Wedgehurst or Postwick
In one of those farmhouses that double as wedding venues
Raihan is most likely best man
Hop’s just a bit too young
But he’s definitely a groomsman, and the ring bearer
He and Wooloo take this job very seriously
If you for one second think Charizard isn’t also a groomsman and wearing a bowtie, you’re SORELY mistaken my friend
The guest list is mainly your and his friends and family, and the Galar League
For the life of me, I can’t imagine Lee in a plain black suit/tux
He’ll at least wear a jacket that’s a colour that suits him
Probably something that’ll match the colour scheme
Let me tell you one thing
Well, two things
Lee will definitely cry
And he will carry you over every. single. threshold.
No exceptions
When he goes in for the kissTM he’ll cup your face and kiss you with so much love and passion you’ll be breathless
I’m sorry but that just gives me butterfrees
He will give a speech and a toast to you at the reception
It’ll be heartfelt and dorky just like him
Raihan’s best man speech is funny, and just a touch irreverent
He definitely harps on about how you’re way out of Leon’s league
And how smitten Lee is with you
When it comes to the cake, if you let him, Lee would like to smush a bit of it on your face
Just a little smush
Which he fully expects you to do back to him
Again, only if this is something you want
You two will definitely feed each other cake either way though
During the whole reception (and before) Lee just has this goofy, lovestruck expression on his face
He gives you heart eyes the entire time
And he keeps asking if it’s really real
Is he really your husband now?
You delight in telling him yes, every time
Your first dance is basically just the two of you hugging while you sway to music for like three minutes
The world disappears, and it’s just you and your husband
It’s perfect
After a fantastic night of food, dancing and fun
Leon picks you up and carries you over one last threshold
Sure, the night may be done, but the fun? That’s not over yet ;)

Hi, Iove the way you write! Since requests are open, could I request a NSFW one, please? Where Leon and female reader lose their virginities to one another?
TW: Smut (fairly vanilla), Dick Piercing, AFAB reader, Character x reader, mentions of protection
This is my first time writing smut so I hope it did an ok job at it. Sorry this took so long it’s been absolutely insane over here between storms, outages, and preparing to go to school in a month~Jade
------------------------------------------------------
“Are you sure, we don’t have to if you don’t think you’re ready yet”, Leon asks looking for any sign of apprehension or hesitance, he’s alwaysbeen so considerate and sweet like that.
“Leon I’m certain, I’ve thought it over plenty this last week and I think I’m ready this time.” You state, the topic at hand being that of taking things further with your boyfriend. The first time one of you suggested sex the session didn’t go much further than a more heated makeout session, which of course was still quite nice, you just got cold feet when Leon had gone to start pushing up your shirt. Leon being the gentleman he is stopped when you’d grabbed his hand and said you’d changed your mind and just wanted to cuddle instead.
The second time was an accident, you would’ve gone further had you and Leon not gotten a surprise visit from your mother and had to hurry to get your shirts back on so she wouldn’t know what was going on and further embarrass the two of you.
This time though you’d both made sure that there would be no interruptions and you had both talked it over the couple days leading up to make sure you were both still comfortable with the decision.
Leon upon getting confirmation from you, gently cupped the back of your neck, pulling you close to kiss you while he moved to lean you back and move over you, slotting himself between your legs. After a few minutes you reached up to comb your fingers through his hair and pull him closer to deepen the kiss. Slowly you feel his hand move from the mattress and trail from your thigh up your side, gently sliding beneath your shirt to move it up and over your head, briefly breaking the kiss before diving right back in for more. You eventually feel him reach back down to shift your hips up and start grinding against you pressing his hardening bulge up to your quickly heating core. You move one of your hands from his hair to trail down his chest to do away with his top like he had yours, after which you started trailing down towards his pants to slide them off. Leon pulled back for a bit to help shimmy off his pants and help you with yours, revealing a tent in his boxers and a wet stain on your own undies.
It was at this point you both took a second to breath and realize how far you’ve gotten. Leon situates himself back between your legs before touching his forehead to yours and asking with a heavy breath, ”Do you want to continue? We can stop if you want.”
Catching your own breath you reply, “Yes, I want to keep going”
“Alright then”, he sighs as he gently reaches into your panties and begins to caress your folds and clit, his hands coarse from training with his team. At the new sensation you let out a gasp as Leon's other hand reaches up behind your back to undo your bra which he then brushes off your chest to release your chest from its confines. Continuing to stroke your opening he uses his other hand to gently cup one of your breasts massaging it and further intensifying the already present sensations. Wishing for more you buck your hips a bit to try and get him to actually insert his fingers, and eventually he does after a bit starting with one as to not hurt you, adding another and plumbing them faster when you grind against his hand again. Eventually he gives into his own temptation taking the neglected breast into his mouth, sucking on it as he continues to massage the other. Soon enough you begin to feel a coiling sensation within your abdomen, gasps having turned to moans as you thread your fingers into Leon’s hair again
“I-I think I’m gonna-” you start as he rises up from your chest to capsure your lips once more tugging on them with his teeth. You feel the coil snap and soon after he draws his fingers out and looks at them curiously. Leon looks at his hand before tentatively taking a lick, his eyes widening as he cleans the rest of them off.
You whine trying to grind up against his cock which you can see is dripping with precum and a glint from the jacobs ladder that he’d gotten due to a dare.
“Hold on dear let me get this on”, Leon teases as he grabs a small packet from the bedside table, opening it and rolling the condom onto his member, “Now, I’m asking one more time, are you sure you’re ready?”
You look at him and nod to indicate that you wish to continue.
“Alright, just let me know if it's too much and I'll slow down”, he states, lining himself up. Slowly he pushes in groaning, the stretch made you moan as he filled you up, you feel the ridging from his piercings drag against your insides. After a few minutes he begins to move slowly at first panting, quickly he begins to pick up his pace as the sound of moaning and skin slapping fills the room.
It doesn’t take long for him to start getting close, not used to the feeling as his hips snap into yours. Reaching down he begins to play with your clit to bring you closer with him, he also takes one of your nipples into his mouth sucking on it. The combined sensations quickly bring you to the edge and with a loud groan and a scream you both come together.
Pulling out and discarding the used condom he collapses onto the bed beside you, pulling you close to him as the two of you drift off together with mumbled ‘I love you’s.

So i had an idea for a request~ how about Leon and Ingo (Separate) being Vampire hunters but they inadvertently fall for one of the vampires they were sent to slay~?
A person falling for a monster is delicious, but it being someone sworn to kill the monster too? Extra delicious.
🍓🍓🍓
Ingo:
The night is dark, perpetual. Ingo supposes it's deliberate, being a creature such as yourself. You prefer the moonlight, shy from the sun despite craving warmth.
Ingo knows that now.
It's been. . . a month? Two? Ingo isn't quite sure, not after the nasty tumble he took down the mountain on the way to your hidden home. There's a dull throb through his temple even now, even after being so cared for, but he can ignore it most days.
On those he can't, you bring him medicinal tea and warm meals, letting him curl up in bed all day should he want.
It's so unlike the compound. He trained there for years, honing his body and mind alike to be perfect for killing creatures like you. Monsters that feed off people, killing them viciously, wastefully.
But you have people in the town nearby. They come to you, freely offering an arm when you begin to hunger. And you make sure they are not harmed in return. Your hearing, your sense of smell, all of it attuned to the village you swear to protect.
Yet, even as they freely offer you blood, you're so careful. Ingo has spied on your feedings enough time to see how gentle you are, fangs pricking just enough to allow you to slurp down the blood. And your people never flinch, merely smile, even laughing as you fret and bandage their wounds with your mouth still stained crimson.
And Ingo finds himself wondering what it feels like, pricked by your fangs and caressed by your lips.
You are nothing like what he was taught. You are kindness and sacrifice, for he sees the slight hollowness to your cheeks even when flushed from a fresh feeding.
You never mention it, but you must know what he is, why he's here. You don't seem afraid, if anything you seem. . . accepting of it. Of his duty. You haven't taken his weapons, haven't locked him away or restrained him or used him for ransom. You didn't leave him to die.
And now he doesn't want to see you dead either.
Leon:
Leon hates the world he lives in.
He hates the need to hunt down monsters to protect who he loves. He hates that he was chosen as the town's Hunter, the protector of everyone, strongest in the village, maybe the region if the whispers are true.
He hates that all of it, the training and the blood and the sweat and the tears, has led to this.
Leon never knew you were what he had to hunt. You hid it so well, with gloves and hats and careful smiles. Never had Leon seen you raise a hating hand to anyone. He'd only seen you tend bruises and cuts, read stories and carry firewood for anyone who needed it.
You were an endless stream of kindness and aid.
And now here you lie, cut down by Leon's own sword.
A raw, choking noise breaks from his throat. It's drowned out by the crowd behind him, a mess of torches and pitchforks that mar and mold everyone in a wall of screaming anger.
How could everyone had been fooled by you, a monster amongst the mortals of the village?
How easily they had turned on you, realizing your true self. All your kindness was forgotten, all the trust you had garnered lost in a fleeting moment of fear and hatred.
Leon wants to hate you too. You tricked him, everyone, yet you lay before him, wounded by him, and you don't fight back.
He knows you could. You could destroy him in an instant, but you don't. You lie there and you take it. And Leon hates it.
Hates that it's you he has to kill.
Hates that his hands are shaking.
Hates that he's crying over your dying body.
Hates that it always, always had to end this way.
🍓🍓🍓
ta-da! hope i did it justice!!
~Renee

Adore You | Leon x Reader (Oneshot)
Genre: Super Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort
It’s been a particularly challenging week. And as much as you’ve tried to brush it off, along with Leon’s concern, the weight of everything is starting to bear down on you hard. If you were honest, you’ve been in a constant state of exhaustion.
Deadlines and expectations seem to be ever looming, the only rival in magnitude to either being the damned imposter syndrome you’d been trying desperately to bat away. At this point, you’re questioning if you’d somehow accidentally stumbled into where you are in life.
This afternoon, you’d happened to get home before Leon did and immediately slithered out of your clothes and into your bed, wrapping the sheets around yourself. Your eyes fell shut, hoping to drown out the world. All you can hear is the sound of your breath, drawing slowly and softly, yet somehow each inhale felt heavier than usual. With all of the thoughts swirling around in your mind, you almost didn’t hear the footsteps approaching or the sound of the bed shifting under someone’s weight settling next to you.
The subtle scent of cinnamon, vanilla and bourbon in Leon’s cologne bringing the slightest comfort before anything else. His hand tugs at the edge of the blanket you had so tightly folded yourself into, loosening it just enough so that he could slide into the cocoon with you. Without saying anything, he nestled his broad frame against your back, an arm working its way around your waist and angling up so that his palm was against your cheek.
The first crack.
You trembled at your core, all of your pent up fears and anxieties simmering inside you, threatening to boil over. Allowing yourself to ease into Leon’s hand, you took in the warmth of his skin — he was somehow always warm — and could feel the callouses built up from almost two decades of training. Calluses that were rough and worn, but always felt like home when they were running along your back. Letting his thumb trace across your cheek to play along your lips, he inched his body closer, his other hand moving to brush your tousled hair out of your face. You hear him sigh deeply before placing a gentle kiss at the back of your head, then resting his nose against your neck.
The second, and final crack.
You couldn’t hold it back anymore and the tears began to trickle down, wetting Leon’s hand. It’s silent for a moment, until the tiniest whimper escapes you. You try to pull away, but strong arms hold you in place, pressing you in closer. “Shhh…”
“You’re so strong, love. Being vulnerable is a part of that strength,” he whispered into your skin.
Still soft, but now audible sobs were wracking your body. You were sure Leon could feel you shaking and you couldn’t figure out if you should be embarrassed or if you should find solace in the fact that him, simply being who he was, brought your soul to ease.
“And know that even when you’re feeling your weakest, I’ll adore you. Always.”
At that, you turn around to face your champion, your lips quickly finding his, hands tangling themselves in those unruly, violet locks. Between the tender glances and exchanged breaths, you knew you’d eventually make it out the other end.
How could you not.

First of all, HELLO, welcome to Tumblr! :3 (Just in case you are new!)
And now, here comes my idea: Leon with a shy but VERY powerful S/O. Full team, the best of the best, destroyer of champions.
I just like the contrast between a cute and shy girly and the most menacing team you can imagine.
- Fairy Anon 🧚🏻♀️
Ooh this is a good one anon! I would have responded sooner, but I didn’t see this request at first, sorry! I also have been on Tumblr awhile, I just used to be a lurker.
Leon W/ a shy, but VERY powerful s/o.
G/n reader
At first, it was hard for Leon to even get to know you. After all, he was the champion, you were just a trainer. But you caught his eye. With how downright adorable you were, and your Pokemon.
Leon saw you battle once, and was immediately intrigued. He already thought you were psychically attractive, but this just added to it. You were a great trainer too!
So naturally, he got “lost” in the Wild Area and followed you around for a bit. But when he tried to talk to you, you yelped, and took off in the other direction. He felt a little hurt, but pushed it aside.
So you were shy, huh? Alrighty then. Leon has to do this the non-Leon way.
He followed you around the Wild Area again, but this time, was much more strategic. When you had set down camp, that’s when he “pounced.”
He made sure not to startle you, and carefully introduced himself. Once you guys got to chatting, he just developed more and more of a crush on you. Not like it wasn’t mutual, you’ve had a celebrity crush on him for years! And now he’s TALKING to you???
You exchanged numbers, and met up again many more times. Eventually, he even got to meet your Pokemon team when he challenged you to a battle!
A Togekiss, Garchomp, Melmetal, Jolteon, Lucario, and Milotic. You kicked his ass. This was kept a secret for a very long time, as he had to keep up the façade of unbeatable champion.
He was… very surprised, and so were you. But nonetheless, you happily parted ways after a little more flirting from him. He asked you out a few days later, of course you said yes.
You both decided to keep it secret for a bit, as the media would get right up in your grill. And you are shy. You would not like that. Leon would also not like that.
He comes to see you whenever you battle, and drool from the sidelines. You have a bit of a streak going by this point, some people saying you may as well be the next champion with how good you are.
You have many secret dates with him before you both finally decide to tell people. Leon lets it slip in an interview, and everyone goes B A N A N A S.
Now, you are a target for the press. They catch you sometimes after matches, but normally Leon is there to shoo them away when they get too nosy, or when you look like you’re about to have a panic attack. But when Leon isn’t there, it’s not as good.
You usually just (very politely) tell them to fuck off, and bolt away. Leon is so so proud of you whenever this happens. You are rewarded with many kisses.
Sometimes you do interviews together, and Leon can’t help but gush about you while you sit there blushing like you’re going to explode.
You end up becoming one of the best trainers in Galar, actually! Maybe even good enough to be a gym leader, if you’d like.
Of course, you keep kicking your boyfriend’s ass along the way, and he keeps trying to scheme ways to beat you.

I crawl out of my slumber to request for Leon from swsh with his s/o braiding flowers info his hair
This is gonna end up being a short shot because I was having a real hard time with the build up for this one so it's straight into the fluff instead. TW: gender neutral reader, extreme amount of fluff
“When was the last time Leon and I had time off?”, you thought to yourself while you and your boyfriend lounged in the field near his childhood home, both of your guy’s pokemon were either running around playing or lounging around the tree with the two of you. The two of you had taken the week off to visit with his family and spend some time together. You were leaned up against a tree while Leon had his head resting in your lap giving you the chance to play with his long fluffy hair. You’d gone from just combing through it to absentmindedly making small little braids in it. You soon feel a little nudge to your side as you look down to see your Bellossom next to you holding an armful of small colorful flowers in her arms. Carefully while trying to stifle your giggling you take a few flowers and start to work them into the braids you’d already made and into the one you’re working on, you knew Leon wouldn’t be waking up from his little nap till it was time to go inside to eat so you had plenty of time to incorporate all of the flowers in and sneak a little picture on your phone to make your wallpaper later. By the time you finish his head is practically covered in flowers. You eventually hear Hop loudly call for the two of you to come inside because lunch was ready, meaning it was time to wake up the sleeping man in your lap. You carefully start to shake his shoulders while saying through the chuckling, ”Leon, sweetheart it’s time to head back inside it’s lunch time. Don’t want to leave everyone waiting, do you?” Beginning to stir from his slumber Leon seems to notice the mischievous smile on your face replying, “Ok I’m up I'm up, what's got you all giggly love? Did I say something silly in my sleep again?” “No buuuut you may want to take a moment to check your hair when we get back inside”, you slyly say as you wiggle your half asleep legs out from under Leon’s head and shoulders. Standing up and recalling your pokemon you give yourself a head start back to the house before he notices the first flowery braid that falls in his face.

Raihan setting up a curvy female!reader with Leon on a blind date for a treat? I've had the idea for ages but between work and school, I'm too lazy and preoccupied to write it 😭. Thanks so much! ❤
you got it dude!! one simping leon coming right up!
🍓🍓🍓
Leon isn't sure why he agreed to this. He sinks into his seat some as the patrons of this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant gaze at him, whispering to one another. He's lucky it's more of an adult establishment, with folks kind enough not to walk up to him and ask for an autograph.
A blind date, Raihan called it. He had sworn up and down that the woman he knew would be a perfect match for Leon. But Leon doesn't know if he believes it, no entirely. He trusts Raihan's judgement, but he knows the tendency for people to only see Champion Leon. They sometimes didn't care for the man beneath the title and the crowned snapback.
But, Leon has to admit he does feel a little lonely, and he does want a relationship. He wants the domesticity and the butterfrees and the flowers that come with it. He hopes whoever this woman is, she wants something similar with him and not just the Champion.
When you walk into the restaurant, dressed how Raihan told him you would be, Leon feels his heart stutter and trip over itself. The outfit you chose suits you well, better than anything he could've imagined, hugging the curves of your body and accenting the way your hips gently sway when you walk.
You spot him, and stop in your tracks, your eyes wide with shock. But then you split into a warm, albeit shy smile. You make your way over to his table, and you settle into your seat.
"Hello." You greet, chuckling to yourself. "Doesn't Raihan have a way with words? You're the last person I expected to find in that chair."
Leon laughs too, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, but he said it'd be worth it." He glances up at you, grin boyish and lopsided. "And I'm starting to think he's right."
A blush blooms across your face, and Leon chuffs up, pleased.
You spend the dinner together, and Leon finds himself growing more entranced. You talk about life, friends and family, hobbies and Pokémon. Leon waits for your questions about his job, the money and celebrities he knows, but you don't press him on any of it. You leave your questions casual and open ended, letting him decide what he wants to talk about. And Leon likes it, a lot.
He likes how interested you seem in his family, how you laugh at his silly stories and coo at the baby pictures of Hop he shows you. In return, you talk about Raihan, how the two of you met and how annoying the man has been, bugging you about going out with a friend of his.
"He said you and I would get along," you tell Leon, sipping your wine with a soft huff of amusement, "because we're both sad sacks moping about wanting relationships."
Leon snorts. "Rich, coming from him!"
"Right? He's got a lot of advice for someone chronically single."
Leon grins, eyeing the hand you lay on the table as you set your glass down. He taps his fingers on the tablecloth, now somewhat strained by the meals you had, and inches his hand closer to yours.
As you continue to talk, some playful teasing towards Raihan, Leon slides his finger tips over your own fingers, tracing the valleys between your knuckles, before settling his palm over your hand. His had engulfs yours, but its warm, calloused. It feels safe.
You smile at him, twisting your hand so your palms align, tracing along the veins of his wrist.
Leon blushes, but he's too giddy to care. He doesn't want this date to end, even though the waiter has dropped off the check.
"Hey!" He says, a bit to loud. It earns a few glances from the nosier of the other patrons, but you just cock your head, nodding for him to continue. "Um, let's go hit one of the parks. I wanna meet your Pokémon."
Your eyes twinkle in the low lights of the evening sun. "Here, I'll do you one better." The squeeze of your hand in his makes his heart flip-flop again. "Why don't you come over? You can meet my Pokémon, and I'll meet yours too, yeah?"
Leon is nodding before you even finish your offer.
And if people see you both walking out of the restaurant, Champion Leon's hand following the curve of your hip? If the press posts pictures tomorrow of the mysterious woman seen taking the Champion Leon home with her? He doesn't care. Not if it means getting to spend more time being just Leon with you.
🍓🍓🍓
hope this is something like what you would've written! show me if you ever write it too!! i'd love to see how they compare!!

Remember Me
Chapter 5
Leon x Reader (oc)
Masterlist ch4 ch6
7 years ago, age 16
The golden sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm, amber glow across the waves gently lapping at the empty, sandy shores of Alola. The distant calls of Wingull and the rhythmic sound of the ocean filled the air. You sat cross-legged on the sand, your toes buried in its warmth as you both watched the sunset. Beside you, a slightly older Leon, already brimming with energy and confidence, was trying to skip stones across the water’s surface.
“Watch this!” Leon called out, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He drew his arm back and flung a flat stone with all his might, only to watch it plop into the water with a disappointing splash.
You giggled, covering your mouth as you did. “You almost had it that time!”
Leon grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. “Yeah, almost.” He plopped down beside you, your shoulders brushing lightly, leaving your cheeks to darken and your skin sensitive to the touch. “Guess I’m better at Pokémon battles than stone-skipping.”
You turned to look at him, your smile softening. “You’re good at a lot of things, Leon. And you always keep trying, no matter what.”
Leon’s grin faltered slightly as he met your eyes, a warmth spreading through his chest that had nothing to do with the tropical air. “Thanks, that means a lot coming from you.” He paused, glancing at the sunset. “You know, I’ve never met anyone like you before. You’re always so calm and sure of yourself. It’s like nothing can knock you down.”
You blushed, turning your gaze back to the horizon. “I’m not always that sure… but having you around makes things easier. You make me feel like I can do anything.”
A comfortable silence fell between the two of you, the sky darkening into hues of purple and pink as the first stars began to twinkle above.
Leon shifted closer until your arms were fully pressed against each other. He felt his heartbeat quicken, realizing that this feeling—this mix of nervousness and excitement—wasn’t just because of the beautiful sunset or the sound of the ocean. It was because of you. You had always been there, by his side, cheering him on, challenging him in ways that made him better, even though the two of you were supposed to be nothing more than opponents. But tonight felt different.
“Yuna,” he began, his voice softer than usual, “do you ever think about the future? Like, where we’ll be in a few years?”
You nodded, the seriousness of his tone making your heart flutter. “All the time. I think about becoming stronger, not just by defeating you, but by facing new challenges. But I also think about the people I want to keep close, the ones I never want to lose.”
Without a moment to think, Leon gently took your hand, giving you a silent look. You nodded, and he intertwined his fingers with yours. “You know… I don’t think I ever want to lose you, Yuna.”
With your faces inches apart, your pulse raced and your breath hitched slightly as you whispered, “You won’t, Leon. No matter what happens, I’ll always be here.”
As your fingers intertwined, something shifted between you, a connection deepening that neither of you fully understood but both felt.
The world around you seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you on that quiet beach. Leon gave your hand a gentle squeeze, and you squeezed back.
You turned away, trying to focus on the waves instead of the touch of his fingers between yours. You’d known Leon for so long—he was your closest friend, the one who always came back, even when he was busy with his training in Galar. But now, sitting next to him, you realized something had shifted between you. The thought of him leaving, returning to Galar, suddenly felt more difficult to bear than usual.
Leon reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face. His fingers lingered a second too long, and your breath caught in your throat. “You’ve got sand in your hair,” he said, his voice low.
“Thanks,” you replied softly, not daring to move away from his touch. You didn’t know when you’d see each other as often again, with his Chairman’s constant demands.
“I’m going to miss this place,” Leon admitted, his hand still close to your face, his eyes searching yours for something he couldn’t name.
Your heart squeezed. You didn’t want to think about him leaving. You wanted to tell him more about how much his presence meant to you, how he had become a part of your life that made you feel nauseous at the thought of him not being there.
But the words wouldn’t come. Instead, you did something you never would have imagined doing.
You leaned in, closing the small distance between you, and gently pressed your lips to his. It was a brief kiss, just a moment’s touch, but it sent sparks through both of you.
When you pulled back, you didn’t dare look at him, your face burning. “For luck,” you mumbled, trying to play it off, but your voice was trembling.
Leon blinked, stunned by the gesture. His hand slowly moved to where your lips had touched his, his heart pounding in his chest. “Yuna…”
When he finally spoke your name, it was filled with more emotion than either of you expected. It was as if, in that single moment, everything the two of you had been feeling finally made sense. The playful banter, the long walks, the shared stories—they were more than just memories of friendship. They were the foundation of something deeper, something neither of you had acknowledged until now.
The sun finally dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky bathed in stars as he gently raised your chin to meet his lips once more.
"There you are! We've been waiting for ages!"
Looking up from your hands, you quickly fumble to fold away your Polaroid, where you’d been staring at an old photo of you and Leon. You spot Hop and your younger sister, Lyz, waiting by the bridge connecting Motostoke to Route 3.
"Sorry!" you apologize with a sheepish smile, tucking your Polaroid away in your tote. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah!" Lyz chirped. "We already did a warm-up!"
"And she won…" Hop mutters, sounding slightly disappointed, before his grin returns. "Just what I'd expect from my rival!"
Hop straightens up, crossing his arms and furrowing his brows in mock determination. "Our Gym Challenge starts now—from here in Motostoke!"
Before their excitement could carry them away, you jump in, smiling. "Hold on, before we get ahead of ourselves," You turned to Lyz with a suggestion, a sudden shift in your protective instinct. "Why don’t you and Hop head off on your own?"
It wasn’t easy to let your sister wander freely with everything going on, but you didn’t want to ruin her first experience as a Trainer. With the GPS tracker on Lyz's Rotom phone, you felt more at ease—especially with Hop by her side.
Lyz happily agrees, and after discussing the plan to regroup at Turffield Gym, both she and Hop hand you their League Cards. You promised them you’d make one for yourself before reaching Hammerlocke.
Once you all set foot on Route 3, the three of you went your separate ways as soon as the path diverged.
The route was fairly quiet, with only a few Gym Challengers and League Trainers scattered along the way.
Adjusting your late mother's tote, you headed down the less-traveled path with Rowlet by your side, defeating the beginner trainers placed there by the League.
In the tall grass, with Rowlet’s keen bird’s-eye view, you manage to spot a few useful items for battle and make a mental note to save some for Lyz and Hop.
As Rowlet battles the nearby trainers, he picks up Shadow Sneak, an early sign that his ghost-type abilities are beginning to manifest.
Continuing on your way to Turffield, with Rowlet perched on your shoulder, you spot a familiar redhead gazing out at the distant fields.
“Sonia?”
She turns, twirling a strand of her red hair with silver clips, and smiles. “Hey there, Gym Challenger! You looked like a real ace during the opening ceremony!”
You walk up to her, while Rowlet flies over to her Yamper, the two Pokémon happily playing together.
“Oh, but where’s Hop and Ayla?” she asks.
“They took the shortcut,” you reply.
Sonia raises an eyebrow, resting her hands on her hips. “Figures those two can’t sit still. Guess they’re trying to keep up with their older sibling,” she teases, making you chuckle.
“Oh! Let me tell you about something interesting.” She points to the building she was watching earlier, where thick smoke billows from its chimneys.
“See that over there? That’s a factory owned by Chairman Rose. And close by here is a mine where they dig up ore, and that building processes it into energy!” she explains excitedly.
“So, the Chairman not only controls the League, but he’s also providing Galar with its resources…”
“Can’t say I fully understand him, but the Chairman seems like a pretty brilliant guy, right?”
“Yeah, always one step ahead…” you reply, feeling a bit uneasy about how the Chairman seems to plan everything in advance, all on his own.
“But anyway, here’s a little something for having a chin-wag with me—an escape rope!” Sonia hands it to you with a laugh.
You blink, confused, before she explains what ‘chin-wag’ means, making a mental note to remember it for later so you won’t embarrass yourself in front of the locals.
“You should head on, I’ll catch up in a bit!” she calls as you prepare to continue your journey.
You let Sonia be, retrieving your Rowlet back to its Pokéball to rest as you head toward the mine. However, the journey proves more troublesome than expected as a group of Zigzagoon darts around, playfully blocking your path. To make matters worse, you accidentally bump into a postman with a Delibird, further delaying you.
Eventually, you arrive at the entrance to a vast and dark cave, where a young woman beckons you over. She quickly explains that she’s there to heal any Pokémon passing through as a courtesy.
“Before you go…” she places a hand on your shoulder, “We League Staff aren’t allowed to bet, but if I could, I’d definitely put my money on you.” You thank her with a bow and head into the mines, hurriedly to catch up with Lyz and Hop.
You send out Deino, hoping he can lead you through a shortcut and out of the cave quickly, especially with the increasing heat. You can't help but wonder how the workers manage in their heavy, long-sleeved uniforms.
Luckily, Deino finds a hidden path you hadn’t noticed before. As you follow, you marvel at the countless jewels embedded in the ceiling, walls, and scattered on the cave floor.
The hidden path eventually leads to an exit, opening up onto a small cliff with a view of the lands below and the factory in the distance.
You take a moment to breathe in the fresh air, letting the breeze hit your face and run through your freshly dyed hair.
Your peaceful moment is interrupted when Deino nudges your leg and hands you a TM, damp from his drool. The disc is labeled "Rock Blast," and you thank Deino, knowing it will come in handy for your upcoming battle with Kabu.
*Ring, ring.*
"Incoming call from Champion Leon!" your Rotom phone announces loudly, making you glance around in a brief panic before answering. Mental note: definitely need to turn that setting off later.
"Hey! Everything alright? Hop and Ayla have been trying to call you."
Shoot .
“Yeah, I’m fine! Sorry, I was searching around in the mines, and I guess there’s no signal in here.”
After a brief pause, Leon says, "Ah, you're at that little cliff, right?"
Your eyes widen in surprise. “How did you—”
He chuckles, sending Butterfrees fluttering in your stomach.
"How else could you have picked up the call?"
You raise an eyebrow. “I could’ve already left the mines, you know.”
“Silly, I’m waiting for you on the other side.”
“And now you're just dragging out the time by keeping me on the call,” you laugh.
He smiles on the other end—a sound you can almost hear. “Alright, see you in a bit.”
The call ends, and Deino lets out a small chortle, making you sigh.
“Come on, let’s get out of here already.”
Re-entering the mines proves to be more nerve-wracking than expected, especially when you have to cross a narrow, rickety bridge suspended over a deep drop. You decide it’s safer to carry Deino in your arms as you cross, wondering how the League could ever approve such a dangerous path.
Once across, you set Deino down and jog toward the exit, but as you approach the light, you notice a familiar figure blocking the way.
"Going somewhere?" He continues before you even have a chance to respond, "I'd advise against it. Any trainer with a Wishing Star is due for a beating from me and my Pokémon!"
You raise an eyebrow. "Excuse me?" stepping closer and recognizing the boy from the sign-up day, now sporting the same outfit.
Bede smirks, brushing his hair back and subtly showing off a gold watch—clearly something he values.
"You're the Gym Challenger endorsed by the Champion, aren’t you?" Bede scoffs. "What a joke. You do know the Chairman is more important than the Champion, right?"
You decide to let him run his mouth, keeping your silence. He’s just a kid, and it’s clear he doesn’t care about your responses. No point in taking it personally.
"I was chosen by the Chairman himself, which means I'm far superior to you!" he declares smugly. "I suppose it's time I proved just how weak you are compared to me."
With that, he tosses a Great Ball into the air, catching it with a flourish before throwing it, summoning a Solosis.
You grin, deciding it’s Deino’s time to shine. Given the advantage against the psychic-type, this battle will be in your favor.
Deino roars, already charging forward with eager determination, sniffing out its target.
Bede snaps his fingers, ordering Solosis to use Endeavor, but Deino quickly dodges and lands a critical Bite. Bede's eye twitches as he recalls Solosis. "I'm just giving your Pokémon a little chance to shine," he says dismissively.
"Admitting you're losing would be fine too," you quip.
Ignoring you, Bede summons Hatenna. Rotom points out it’s a fairy-type, putting Deino at a disadvantage. Just as you reach for Deino’s Pokéball, he growls, determined to stay in the fight. Bede smirks, commanding Hatenna to use Disarming Voice. The move hits hard, but Deino stays standing.
Deino retaliates with another Bite, landing a decisive hit that knocks out Hatenna. As Bede summons Gothita, you switch to Totodile, letting Deino rest from the damaging blow. One swift Bite from Totodile is all it takes to knock Gothita out.
"How kind of you to let Totodile and Deino shine," you say triumphantly as Totodile happily skips back to you as Bede reluctantly recalls his Pokémon.
Bede grunts in frustration, clenching his fist before looking away. "I see... Well, that's fine. I wasn’t really trying anyway." He tosses a few Pokécoins to the ground. How did the Chairman approve this kid?
Running a hand through his hair, Bede dismisses his loss. "Well, that was unexpected. I suppose you’re—Hey!"
"Totodile!" you called out as you watch your Pokémon kick Bede right in the leg.
With a sigh, you give Totodile a high-five as Bede limps away, without a chance to apologize on Totodile's behalf. He’d be fine—Bede would learn his lesson eventually.
After Totodile was kind enough to retrieve the Pokécoins, you return Totodile to his Pokéball and exit the mines, flinching as the harsh sunlight hits your eyes. Raising a hand to block the light, you scanned the view of Turffield when a shadow looms over you.
"Hey, you!" Leon drops his cap onto your head, shielding you from the sun.
"Wait, wh—" Leon gently catches your wrist before you could take it off.
"Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of these," he reassures, dressed in a dark hoodie and sunglasses, similar to his disguise in Postwick.
"Need to hit the Pokémon Center?" You nod, leading you away from the mines.
“We’ve got to be quick, though. Don’t want any paparazzi swar—"
"Wooloo! Where do you think you’re going?!"
Beeehh !
As a runaway Wooloo rolls toward you, Leon quickly steps in, lowering himself to stop it gently but firmly.
"Gotcha!"
The Wooloo nuzzles Leon’s chest, he chuckles, giving it a pat before standing up.
"Thanks, Leon!" A young man approaches, his features familiar from the opening ceremony—Milo.
"This little one’s always full of energy."
"No problem, buddy." Leon glances at you, checking for injuries. “Gotta keep an eye on these Wooloo,” he adds in a more serious tone.
You watch Leon handle the Wooloo with ease. His calm demeanor and quick action left your chest fluttering, and you found yourself smiling.
After you and Milo briefly introduce yourselves with Leon’s help, Milo heads to another entrance with his Wooloo.
Once you finished a quick stop at the Pokémon Center, you and Leon approach the main entrance of the gym, spotting a familiar sprout of purple hair—Hop—with your sister, Lyz, beside him.
"Whoa, Lee, what's with the outfit?" Hop asks, eyeing Leon's disguise.
Leon presses a finger to his lips. "I’m not even supposed to be here, but I want to travel with you guys," he whispers, leaving you all grateful for his support.
As you enter the gym lobby, there were only a handful of challengers, with a screen displaying the current lineup.
After the three of you signed in, Leon suggests that Hop and Lyz head to the stadium to watch, as you were up next. They wished you best of luck before heading out.
Following a quick change into your gym uniform, a league staff member hands you a pair of earbuds, explaining that it’s common for the audience to wear them since the loud music and G-Max moves can damage hearing up close.
The league member then escorts you from the locker room to the entrance of the building, where the first part of the challenge—the Gym Mission—awaited.
Exiting the inner tunnel, you descend vibrant, lush stairs into a grand dome, where uplifting music filled the air, adding excitement to your steps. Ahead, a vast green field stretched out, with rows of bushes forming pens for Wooloo. Crossing a grassy bridge, you encounter a pack of Wooloo grazing lazily, just a few meters away.
A tall, blond man with a large mustache and wide eyes quickly approaches, introducing himself as Dan, the Mission Manager of the first Gym before explaining how to chase unruly Wooloo’s to the objective.
Standing at the starting line, you wait for the signal, with a 10-second countdown to plan your strategy. In front of you, about 20 Wooloo stood unaware of your presence, but that would change soon enough.
As you clench your fists and inhale deeply, the presenter's voice echoes, announcing your name and origin.
“Welcome, everyone! My name is Shieldbert, and I’ll be your host for the entirety of this year’s Gym Challenge. Joining me here is my brother, Sordward.”
“Always a pleasure, Shieldbert,” Sordward adds.
“The pleasure is all mine, dear brother,” Shieldbert says, rubbing his hands together. “Now, what do we have here?”
“One of the three Champion-endorsed challengers,” Sordward replies, glancing at his notes. “Her name is Danielle.”
“Danielle what?” Shieldbert asks.
“Just Danielle,” Sordward insists. “We don’t know much about her, except she lives in a small village called Postwick.”
“Where in the world is that?” Shieldbert quips unnecessarily.
“Somewhere deep in the South, I believe. However, I see she’s originally from Johto, along with her younger sister, Ayla, who is the second of the Champion-endorsed challengers.”
“Well, Johto is well known for its traditional battling style. Let’s see how long these girls can last here in Galar. Best of luck to Danielle!”
Your frustration rises at their thinly veiled insults.
As soon as the countdown hits 1, you leap forward, spreading your arms wide to scare off the Wooloo. Thankfully, they weren’t very bright, and your broad stance startled them into rolling toward the haystacks ahead. Without losing a single Wooloo, they crash into the blockade, clearing the path in one swift move. A scoreboard next to the platform displays the number of Wooloo, updating as they reach the haystacks until the count hits twenty.
"Impressive, impressive!" Shieldbert applauded.
"It’s wise not to underestimate someone from Johto!" Sordward added.
"Still, she hasn’t completed the second task yet. Let’s see if she’s truly Champion-worthy. So far, only two challengers have passed this mission."
Your eyes widen—only two? And this was just the first of eight gyms. You silently hope that neither your sister nor Hop would be shaken by the announcers’ remarks.
The next objective was set up similarly to the last, except this time, a Yamper acted as a herding dog. You rummage through your tote and pull out a Poké Doll, whistling to get his attention. Yamper's ears perks up, and he begins panting excitedly.
"Go get it!" you call, tossing the Poké Doll to the far end of the runway.
Without hesitation, Yamper barks and races after the plush toy, completely distracted. Taking advantage of the moment, you guide the Wooloo along the opposite side of the field. They roll effortlessly toward the next platform, destroying the hay barricade with ease as they pass through.
Glancing back, you notice Yamper happily playing with the Poké Doll, now engaged with one of the League members you avoided. You smile, relieved you didn’t have to feel guilty about leaving him alone.
Just as you were about to catch your breath, a Trainer stepped out from the corner of the platform, startling you with an unexpected challenge.
“Welcome, Gym Challenger! Sorry, but I'll have to send you packing. It’s my job.”
The boy with glasses then sends a Gossifleur into battle, to which you send out Deino. You did not want to summon Rowlet yet, saving him for the final battle.
The Trainer congratulates you and encourages you to progress further.
At the final objective, you encounter two columns of bushes with a Trainer on the right and a Yamper patrolling the left and middle. Timing your move carefully, you wait for Yamper to patrol left before pushing the Wooloo in the same direction, jogging quickly to avoid scaring them or attracting Yamper’s attention.
When Yamper almost spotted your strategy, you threw a stick from a nearby bush to distract him, allowing you to guide all 20 Wooloo to the end, where they break through the final blockade and enters their enclosure. You climb the tiring stairs out of the dome, smiling and waving to the camera.
“Sordword, I take back what I said. Do not underestimate a Johotian!”
You entered the tunnel leading to the pitch, hearing the crowd’s cheers, which lifted your spirits, with a sense of nostalgia running through your veins. This was your first official league match in Galar, and although you had a strategy to face Milo, the reality of a live battle is nerve-wracking. You felt your team shaking in their Pokéballs, and you reassure them with a gentle pat.
After putting on the high-tech earbuds you were given to earlier, you take a deep breath as they call your name. Stepping onto the track, you were greeted by thunderous applause as Milo exits the other side of the stadium, giving a gentle nod at you to ease your nerves.
“My Gym’s the first one people face, so we get a lot of Challengers. That’s why I try to keep the Mission challenging but… you did a really good job!”
You thanked Milo with a small bow, suddenly finding the grass beneath you quite interesting. Although you'd received plenty of compliments during your days as Champion, you couldn't help but feel a bit rusty now. Doubt had crept in about your performance.
Milo clapped his hands, continuing with a smile.
"I saw how you handled those Yampers—smart move."
"Well, there weren’t any rules, so I figured why not make the most of it," you shrugged.
"And you did great! This is gonna be a real test! I’ll Dynamax my Pokémon—I suggest you do the same if you want to win."
"I will!" you replied confidently before you both took your positions.
You back up to a marked spot on the second ring of the field. As you step onto it, a red hexagonal barrier briefly rises around you before disappearing—standard protection for Pokémon matches. You knew how risky battles used to be, especially back when your mother was crowned Champion in Johto. You couldn’t imagine the danger she faced, particularly with Team Rocket threatening her during her youth.
An upbeat and electronic music starts to play, with one hand, you press the buttons on your earphones to adjust the volume so that you could hear Milo and the music only. The screams of the audience were in low background to keep them as a quiet cheering squad, which you would need in order to defeat your first Gym.
“Nervous yet?” Milo asks, voicing his genuine concern.
With a gentle shake of your head, the Gym Leader smiles warmly and takes a Pokéball from his belt. A Rotom Camera zooms by, but you pay no mind to it, completely focusing on the upcoming battle.
He tosses the Pokéball into the air, and a Gossifleur gracefully emerges. You counter by sending out Rowlet, who lets out a strong hoot before landing on the ground.
“A Johtoian with an Alolan Pokémon?”
You chuckle and shrug, attempting to brush off his confusion. Red beams flow into your Dynamax Band, giving you an opportunity to activate it at any moment. Without giving him a chance to devise a strategy, you quickly issue your command, and the battle continues.
The audience began to cheer as you defeated your first opponent, and you gasp as the commentator erupts with excitement, shrieking into the microphone.
“Absolutely brilliant!” Milo begins, “But we’re not going down that easily! We’re as tough as weeds!”
“Then we’ll just have to weed you out!”
With more energy than before, he tosses a second Pokéball into the battle, releasing a large Eldegoss that let out a calm cry as it floats to the ground. You continue to use Rowlet in response.
Milo gestures to the side, a white bracelet sparkling on his wrist with a red glow radiating from it.
“Let’s do this! It’s Dynamax time! You’re about to be uprooted!”
The large "831" flashes on the screens as Milo appears determined, recalling his Pokémon and activating his bracelet. His Pokéball transforms, growing to five times its size. With an endearing moment, he taps the ball before throwing it behind him, summoning Eldegoss, which expands dramatically, filling the stadium with its powerful aura and a chilling cry.
You retrieve Rowlet before activating the Dynamax. The Pokeball was fortunately not as heavy as you expected by its size, you give the Pokèball a hefty throw, watching Rowlet grow to match Eldegoss's height. Amazed but determined, you access your bracelet for attack options, selecting a flying-type move.
“Max Airstream!” you shouted as Rowlet unleashed a powerful gust of wind, forcing Eldegoss to endure the full force of the attack. The impact was overwhelming, leaving Eldegoss with a heart-wrenching scream.
“And it's a super effective hit from our Challenger!!”
The crowd's screams echo through the stadium, intensifying the atmosphere. As Rowlet returns to you in slow, steady steps, you laugh as you embrace him, to which he replies with a cheerful chirp. Milo praises his Pokémon before he retreats them back into their respective Pokéballs. The music subsides and eventually fades. With the hexagonal barrier lifted, you approach Milo, grinning while adjusting his hat, as commentators discuss your impressive performance.
“The power of Grass has wilted… What an incredible Gym Challenger!”
The screams echo on, but thankfully, your earphones muted the noise just enough for you to hear him.
“Judging by that battle alone, that must have been a fulfilling Pokémon battle for you!”
“You have no idea!” you exclaim.
Your heart races as adrenaline surges through your veins—a feeling you had missed dearly. Milo rummages in his shorts pocket and hands you a badge. Your badge.
“As proof of your victory against a Gym Leader in the Gym Challenge, here’s your very own Grass badge!”
He shakes your hand, and both of you beam for the cameras. This was another step closer to confronting Team Rocket; now you had ten more challenges ahead. With seven local gyms, the semi-finals, the finals, and finally, your showdown with Leon, you were determined to honor your late parents and reclaim Johto and Alola from Team Rocket's tyranny. But for now, it was time to celebrate.
As you step back into the lobby with the weight of victory still buzzing in your veins, you spot them instantly—your little sister, Lyz, practically bouncing on her toes. Hop stands next to her, grinning from ear to ear at the sight, and right behind them was Leon, arms crossed with his signature smile.
Lyz runs toward you before launching herself into your arms. “You did it! I knew you could do it!”
You laugh, catching her easily and twirling her around. "It’s just the first Gym, relax!”
Hop jogs over next, excitement written all over his face. “But it was brilliant! The way you handled Milo’s Eldegoss with Rowlet—seriously! Usually challengers need their Pokémon transformed to take that thing down!”
“I was winging it half the time!” you admit with a chuckle, ruffling Hop’s hair as he beams.
“You might’ve been winging it, but you didn’t show it,” Leon’s voice breaks through, deep and steady. He was closer now, eyes locked on you in that way that races your heart. “You were in control out there. Calm, collected—like a Champion.”
Heat rises to your face at his words, and you couldn’t help but duck your head, shy under his gaze. “Thanks, Leon… It was touch and go for a minute, though. You were probably laughing up there.”
Leon shook his head, his smile softened, and he leans down slightly, his face close enough that you could feel the warmth of his presence before he lays a hand on your shoulder. “I wasn’t laughing. I was watching someone who shows Galar exactly how strong Johto is.”
The air between you shifts, and for a moment, everything else faded—Hop and Lyz’s chatter in the background, the distant rumble of the upcoming Gym Challengers in the lobby, even the thrum of your own heartbeat. It was just you and Leon.
A loud cheer from behind made you jump slightly, breaking the spell. Milo strides over with a wide grin on his face, holding some clothing in his arms with a disc atop.
“The TM, Magical Leaf. And a sample of our uniform, best of luck to your next challenges!” He says before retreating back into the stadium.
The roar of the stadium grows louder as your sister manages to pass the first trial of the gym mission. You’re next to the exit tunnel by Leon and Hop in the stands, their eyes fixed on the gym mission on the big as she guides a group of Wooloo toward the goal.
Hop leans forward, nearly on the edge of his seat. “Come on, Ayla! You’ve got this!”
Leon chuckles beside him, a knowing grin on his face. “She’s doing great. It’s tough wrangling those Wooloo, but she’s making it look easy just like her older sister here.”
You smile warmly, watching your sister navigate the challenge with a calm confidence. But even as you smile at her progress, there was a slight heaviness in your chest.
From the corner of your eye, you spot a figure in the crowd, leaning casually against the wall at the edge of the stadium. It was a man, tall and broad-shouldered, his white hair and black roots unmistakable.
Guzma.
Your heart drops. You hadn’t seen him since you left Alola, and briefly at the opening ceremony. Instinctively, you stood up.
Leon glances at you, his brow furrowing. “Everything alright?”
“Yeah, I just need to step out for a bit,” you reassure, forcing a smile. “Keep an eye on her for me.”
Hop waves you off without looking away from the action above. “You got it! She’s almost done with the mission!”
You hurried down the steps of the stadium, weaving through the crowd, out of sight from everyone until you reach the shadows of the tunnel. Guzma, who remained unfazed by your approach, has his arms crossed with the same cocky smirk that you remember from your younger days.
“Well, well, if it ain’t Yuna in the flesh,” Guzma greets, his voice low and rough. “Didn’t think I’d be seein’ you here of all places.”
You cross your arms, your eyes narrowing slightly. “What are you doing here in Galar, Guzma?”
He shrugs. “Came to check things out. See how the big leagues over here work. Gotta admit, it’s different from Alola. Not as... chaotic.” His smirk fades as he glances over your shoulder, toward the field where Lyz was finishing the last part of her mission. “Nanu made me track you down. We need to talk.”
Your stomach twists at his words. You took a deep breath. “Is this about Alola?”
Guzma’s face darkens before nodding, releasing a heavy sigh of his own. “Team Rocket’s got the whole place in a chokehold. It’s getting bad, Yuna.”
The weight of his words hang heavy in the air. You knew things in Alola had been rough when you left, but hearing it from Guzma made it all too real. “What about the League? Nanu? Hau?”
“Most of ‘em are laying low. Some are trying to fight back, but it’s a losing battle. Team Rocket’s gotten smarter, more ruthless. And it’s not just them. There’s talk about some new recruits trying to muscle in, too.”
Your fists clenches at your sides. “I had hoped that after what happened… that Alola would start to recover and Team Rocket would give up.”
Guzma shakes his head, his expression hard. “Recovery’s a long way off, kid. Team Rocket’s making sure of that. And as much as I hate to say it, we’re gonna need more than what’s left of the old gang to take them down.”
The memories of your parents funeral, and forcing yourself to step down as champion, all came flooding back. “I left Alola to keep my sister safe, Guzma. To get her away from all of that.”
“I get it. Believe me, I do.” He reassures, “But you know as well that Alola ain’t gonna fix itself. And if Team Rocket keeps gaining power, there won't be anything to go back to.”
Your gaze drifts toward the stadium entrance, where you could still hear the distant cheers for your sister. You had come to Galar to protect Lyz, to give her a chance at a normal life. But could you really turn your back on the place you once called home?
“I don’t know what to do,” you admit quietly, strained.
Guzma lays a hand on your shoulder, his usual bravado slipping away. “I ain’t saying you gotta pack up and head back right now. But Alola needs its Champion, Yuna. Whether you like it or not, people are still looking to you for hope.”
You went silent for a long moment, your mind racing. You had sacrificed so much already. Could you really take on the responsibility of saving Alola again?
“I gave up my team for this exact reason, what happened to them?”
Guzma’s expression softened, but he pressed on. “Your team… they weren’t ready for Team Rocket by themselves.”
Your heart drops as Guzma continues.
“They got overwhelmed,” Guzma continued. “We weren’t just takin’ on some thugs; we were up against a whole symbol of fear. A lot of Trainers bailed, too scared to stand up, Team Skull are tryin’ their best as we speak, And your team? They felt that doubt. They needed you to guide ‘em, but you weren’t around.”
The memories hit hard. Your team had lost faith during those dark times, leading to some devastating losses. You had left them behind, thinking they would protect with the help of the league and Hau, but you had abandoned them when they needed you the most.
“I never wanted to leave them unprotected,” you whisper, your voice trembling. “I thought I was doing the right thing by stepping back.”
Guzma shakes his head. “Sometimes, takin’ a step back makes things worse. They needed you to lift ‘em up, remind ‘em what they were fightin’ for. And now… without you, Alola is nothing. You gotta decide if you’re ready to take that chance again.”
Your heart aches under the weight of his words. The cheers from the stadium fades, replaced by echoes of your past decisions, but now the stakes were higher. Alola was in danger, and the pull of responsibility echoes deep in your gut.
“I can’t let them down again,” you say, determination sparking within. “Not my team, not Alola.”
“Then it’s time to step up,” Guzma smirks, his voice steady. “You might not have your squad right now, but you can start buildin’ it back. You ain’t alone in this fight. Lyz needs you, and so does Alola.”
You turned back toward the stadium, your sister’s cheers ringing in your ears. You were ready to reclaim your role—not just as a Champion, but as a protector of your home.

Lost With You | Leon x Reader (Part I)
Rating: Mature (probably, eventually NSFW - this part is just language, I think?)
You were only doing this to begin with because you respected Professor Magnolia a great deal and because she was an old friend of your dad’s. It had been ages since you’d been back to Galar, so the region was already strange enough to acclimate to. But this… this was pushing it.
****************************************************
After having met the professor at her lab in Wedgehurst for “tea and a chat,” you were regaled with her findings around the Dynamax phenomenon and given a condensed, but impassioned recap of the most recent events surrounding Leon, the former chairman Rose and the newly crowned champion. You’d been traveling with your team for so long that most of this was lost to you — outside of a few rumblings here and there because of the widely televised Champion Cup. You knew of the former champion’s reputation as being undefeated, up until recently, of course, but never paid much mind. Titles and fame didn’t hold much weight for you. What really mattered were the bonds you built with your Pokémon and putting your all into your training; mind, body and soul.
You were still processing Professor Magnolia’s disclosures, absently sipping on your wonderfully fragrant pecha lavender tea, when her sage green eyes focused on you from behind her inverted triangular glasses. “So, my dear, the reason I’ve asked you here today is that I’d like you to do some field research for me,” the ivory-haired woman stated, producing from her lab coat a thick white wristband with blue and red trim, and a shiny black plate embedded front and center. “With your skills as a trainer and knowledge of Pokémon from so many regions, I couldn’t imagine anyone better to study the effects of Dynamaxing on Pokémon firsthand,” she continued. You stilled, fingers tracing the sides of your teacup as you searched your mind for the words to respond. Finally taking a soft inhale, you spoke. “I- Are you sure, professor? I don’t even entirely know how all this Dynamaxing business works.”
You could see the subtlest smile at the corners of the professor’s lips as she affirmed her certainty, a hand reaching out to grasp your wrist and squeeze it. “I’m positive. Your and your Pokémon’s lack of exposure to it is largely beneficial in this case, it allows us to establish a ground zero.”
“Besides, I would never be callous enough to send you out on your own to the Wild Area. I’ve arranged an escort for you— who…” she trailed off, checking her wristwatch, “should’ve been here some time ago.” Before you even had the moment to properly ponder the implications of the request or who on earth you were suddenly going to be sent out on this mission with, your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the lab door opening and shutting, followed by heavy, hurried footsteps that seemed to be headed towards the two of you.
"Sorry, professor! I could've sworn I was on my way here, but I somehow ended up in Hammerlocke," a breathy voice called out, the hint of a chuckle beneath it. Just a moment after, you see someone rounding the corner and the first thing you notice is a head of wild, violet hair, just barely tucked beneath a black snapback hat. Professor Magnolia propped herself up on her cane and rose from her seat, her expression flat and unsurprised. In resignation, she sighs, "Well, I suppose I should be worried were you to not have gotten lost." You instinctively follow suit and stand, feeling the older woman's hand behind your arm, nudging you towards the new arrival. "This is Leon, and while I know this likely isn't the most promising of first impressions," the researcher sent a serious look in the man's direction, before looking back to you, "I feel much more at peace with him accompanying you to the Wild Area." All the chairman could offer in response was a nervous grin, his hand rising to rub at the back of his neck. Somehow it felt like this wasn't a rare occurrence.
****************************************************
Your futile attempts at protesting completely and utterly failed. So here you were, sitting on the train from Wedgehurst to the Wild Area next to this man you didn't know anything about other than his having been the longest reigning champion. There had been an awkward silence between the two of you since Professor Magnolia saw you off at that station, but you were pretty sure you heard Leon begin to speak a couple times and maybe deciding against it. If it were up to you, you wouldn't mind it staying that way because you had always traveled on your own anyway. The silence gave you time to reflect and plan out your next move.
After clearing his throat as quietly as possible, you hear your appointed escort's voice over the hum of the train moving along the tracks. "I heard from the professor you've got a pretty incredible shiny Ninetales as your companion?" Your brow quirks as you shift to face Leon and pause, halting your initial sarcastic inclinations in lieu of a more neutral one. "I do," you respond with with a nod, "Ninetales has been with me since I was a kid and it was a Vulpix." A smile playing on the former champion's features, he leaned in slightly. "Sounds like you two have a pretty strong connection. Makes me think of me and Charizard; we've been through a lot," Leon remarks. You weren't really sure how to react to the sudden depth in his reflections, so you opted for the safe route and went for an "Mm. I get that."
By the time the two of you had made it to the Meetup Spot outside of the Wild Area, Leon had become entirely too comfortable and had begun spouting off about his time as champion, the legacy of the Battle Tower and, in such grandiose terms, the future of Galar. Outside of a 'gentle' reminder (lest he get sidetracked) that you had to make it to the Lake of Outrage soon, you endured his long-winded explanations, much to your own surprise. He assured you that he'd taken this route a million times before. You were skeptical, but ended up going against your better instincts and letting him take the lead with the rationale that this was his home region. Along the way, you had been charged by a handful of wild Pokémon, but between your Ninetales and Dragonite, and his Charizard and Aegislash, you were able to get the situations in hand rather quickly. You quickly shoveled down the roaming thought that Leon might've actually been a shockingly skilled trainer - which, yes, obviously he had to have been to some extent, all things considered but... you'd been around enough to know that sometimes one's standing isn't always deserved. You had to see it with your own eyes.
****************************************************
It eventually became evident that you had been walking for ages and it didn't seem like you were getting anywhere close to your destination, so you stop dead in your tracks. Leon notices and stops his ongoing dialogue to ask if "everything's okay." You look directly at him, your deep brown hues making contact with his amber ones, the restraint in your voice palpable as you finally speak, ".... There's absolutely no way we've been going in the right direction, Leon. According to my Rotomphone, we should've gotten there hours ago." The much taller man tilts his head, framing his chin with the joint of his thumb and index finger as he moves beside you, gaze roving over the digital map projected on your device. "Huh," he muses before shifting his weight back into his heels, hands falling to his hips. "Yeah, you're right... we're definitely on the opposite side of the Wild Area," Leon laughed loudly, the painfully nonchalant manner of his reaction shooting needles all down your spine.
"Okay, that's it. You have got to be kidding me." Your hands balled into fists at your sides, you square your shoulders and glare up at Leon, your anger practically coming off of you in waves. "It's one thing that Professor Magnolia has me out here testing out this whole Dynamaxing thing, but with you??," you groaned, all of the day's pent up frustration suddenly seeping through the cracks. Leon, clearly caught off guard by this, raised his hands in front of him and tried to interject. "H-hey, it's oka---" "No, it's a joke. You and all this fanfare and promotions and "champion this and that," like what the hell. Do you even actually care about Pokémon or is this all just for show?"
That struck a nerve. Leon at this point is towering over you, the casual expression he wore replaced by a sudden sense of seriousness, a wrinkle working its way between his brows. "How can you say that? I was the undefeated champion for god knows how long - you think that comes from not caring?," the Galarian shot back, his tone noticeably deeper than it was before. You could feel the shift in his aura and although you couldn't pretend to know all of his sides, this felt... different. You weren't going to back down though, that wasn't an option. The next words left your mouth before you even knew they were coming, you could feel the preemptive regret but your voice held firm. "Again with the 'undefeated.' You never questioned whether Rose shifted the odds in your favor? Convenient how that streak was broken once he was go--"
The wind was swiftly knocked out of you as you found yourself backed up against a tree, one of Leon's large hands gripping you by the jawline and his other one pressed beside you, caging you in. His eyes glowed a dangerous gold, his visage dark. He all but closed the gap between your bodies as he came within inches of your face, his breath ghosting over your skin. "Shut. The. Fuck. Up," he growled, a certain warning tone presenting itself in his words. You winced at the sudden onslaught of sensations - between the roughness of the bark against your back, the heat emanating from the proximity and the rough grasp preventing you from moving your head, it took you a minute to process what exactly just happened. "You have no idea what it was like all of those years, devoting myself to making this place all that I knew it could be," Leon continued, his gaze lowering as he spoke, "just to find out the man who sponsored you, who made it possible to get to where you were -- that it was all a sham. All a bloody part of a madman's crazed ambitions."
Taking a deep, recentering breath, you wrapped your hand around the one Leon had against the side your face, making sure you had his attention. "Sounds like you've been carrying a lot of pain over this all on your own. It must have been lonely," you acknowledged, allowing your voice to soften just a touch. Leon's eyes met yours again, a hint of surprise painted over the once burning amber. If it weren't for this sudden show of vulnerability, you were probably just moments away from taking a knee to the man's groin, but - you understood there were some scars that ran deep. "And look, I don't really know you and shouldn't have said what I did but... you can't let that shit taint all that you worked for, and what it meant to you. You inspired people. None of what happened takes that away." Feeling the former champion's grip loosen, you draw it away from your face and place your other hand on his chest, almost as if to brace him. "I just wish you weren't so loud about it," you sighed, briefly closing your eyes in that moment to avoid seeing whatever Leon's expression might've been right then. This was exactly the type of messy situation you didn't want to get caught up in, it's just too much baggage.
Sliding his hand from your grasp, you felt him bring it back to your face again, this time, much more tenderly. Leon's free arm snaked around your waist and pulled you against him, sending your lips crashing into one other's and causing your breath to hitch sharply in the back of your throat. The kiss was needy, filled with raw emotion. Your body betrayed you, giving way to a slight shudder before leaning deeper into his touch. Maybe it was just the adrenaline rush, but you could've sworn his pulse was racing against your skin. Pulling back, Leon runs his thumb across your cheek, whispering almost inaudibly. "Thank you."
