hi!! may i request some headcanons on what its like sleeping (like literal sleeping) with leon??
This is so cute 🤭 My inbox is almost empty yall! Get those ideas ready for when I reopen it!
Sleeping with Leon headcannons. (Literally)
female reader, slight nsfw
First off, this man is a cuddler. He’s very needy by nature, so when you’re in bed together he wants to be right up next to you. He loves spooning you, and breathing in your sweet scent as you both fall asleep. He drags you back into bed when you try to get up, he doesn’t want to let go of you. It’s difficult to get up anyway when a two-hundred pound man of muscle is sprawled out all over you.
If it’s too hot for cuddling he’ll just settle for holding your hand from across the bed. Or he kicks off the blankets and cuddles you anyway.
Sometimes after you spend a night screwing each other silly, you wake up naked against one another. He likes feeling your warm body against him, and maybe he’s even still tucked inside your cunt after last night’s activity’s.
When you are not around he finds it very difficult to fall asleep. He just needs you next to him, and when you are not he’s very, very lonely.
The bed you two share is incredibly plush and soft in your shared home. It’s king-sized, to give you both enough space to squirm around during the night, and you have a few fuzzy and fluffy blankets thrown over the comforter. Leon normally takes the right side, while you get the left.
Leon snores too, but not insanely loud, just soft, cute little grunt-like noises. He’s a little squirmy, so you may get kicked every once in a while, and he’s quite a heavy sleeper. He once slept through an insanely loud thunderstorm.
Sometimes he talks in his sleep, and most of it is absolute nonsense.
“I have to get past the Pikachu to get to the Bulbasaur to get to the filing cabinet to see if I’m a robot or not.”

Cock blocked
Warning ⚠️; Smut, oral sex
Pairing; bottom!Leon/top!Male!Reader
Summary; Hop keeps cock blocking you and Leon until you had enough. This time, you ain't stopping.
~~~~~~~~~
Head in your hands, you groaned while Raihan was laughing so hard holding his ribs. You almost regretted opening up to your friend, but it didn't change the reality.
- “Oh shut up Raihan! The kid is giving me blue balls with how much he is cock blocking us. I swear the brat knows when we are trying to have sex!” you exclaimed, throwing your head back and pinching the bridge of your nose.
- “No but that's hilarious.” Raihan chuckled. “Kid so obsessed with his brother, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually knew you two were getting freaky.”
You rolled your eyes, passing a hand in your hair. You were not just getting blue balls there, or frustrated, but truly pissed off. No matter what you were trying to do with Leon, Hop would find a way to interrupt it. May it be sex or even just a date.
You just wanted to take Leon and run away to get some alone time. You both needed it after everything that had happened. It was still hard to believe it. Leon wasn't the champion anymore and even if he showed no sign of it, you knew he was taking it hard. For ten years he had been the Champion and now what? What was he supposed to do?
You didn't know.
Neither of you did.
But you were still there, always by his side, comforting him when a wave of sadness washed over him. You had been together for almost as long as he had been the Champion and you wondered if it was time to take the next step.
But with Hop always around? You couldn't talk or do anything with Leon.
- “You know, maybe just talk to the kid or get in his face. Like wash the floor with him and he’ll go away for a bit.” Raihan proposed, snapping his fingers as if he had the idea of the century.
- “If I do that, its Leon that going to beat my ass and not in the way I want.” You replied, shaking your head. “But I might snap at him or kidnap Leon.”
Raihan chuckled as your phone buzzed. Looking at it, you saw a message from Leon inviting you to his parents’ place for supper and to pass the night. You couldn't say no and immediately agree to come.
Raihan was still laughing as you left, flipping him off.
When you arrived at Leon’s childhood home, your boyfriend was there to greet you. Sitting on the stone wall, he looked sad until he noticed you. He jumped from the wall and rushed to you, wrapping his arms around you and you did the same.
- “I’m glad you came.” Leon whispered, his hands clenching at your clothes. “I really needed you to be there.”
- “You called, I’ll always come when you call for me Lee.” You said with a smile, kissing Leon on the corner of his lips. “Even if your brother is driving me nuts.”
Leon laughed and nodded, agreeing with you since Hop was also driving him nuts no matter how much he loved his little brother. Taking your hand in his, he led you inside the house and never once let go of you. Not even when it was time to eat and Leon made sure to sit between you and his mother.
As much as it surprised you, you were happy to sit next to your boyfriend. While it didn't stop Hop from talking, you enjoyed the evening more than usual. When Leon scooped his chair closer to yours, touching your knee with his, you began wondering if something was wrong with him. But Leon was good at masking his true emotions and you couldn't tell until you two would be alone.
After supper, you sat in the living room, Leon on your lap, your arms around him. You could feel his heart pounding in his chest as if he was terrified of something, this time truly getting you worried. You passed your hand under his shirt, caressing him with your thumb and drawing circles on his skin. Against you, you felt him relax little by little.
It wasn't long until you both gave your goodnight to his family and went to bed after a quick shower. You enjoyed the silence and intimate moment, taking care of your lover. You washed his back and hair and noticed he had dropped his mask. You could tell he was sad and tired for a reason you didn't know.
Your kisses and caresses weren't enough to bring back a smile on his lips and you knew he was down bad. You wondered if it had to do with him losing his title, but asked nothing. Once you were dried and your teeth brushed, you went to bed. Leon’s bed was made for a single person, yet you found a way to both fit.
Tangled with each other, you kept cuddling Leon without a word, allowing him to make the first step if he wanted to talk. Your fingers were brushing his wet hair when Leon’s voice broke the silence, barely audible.
- “You ain't going to leave me, are you?”
The question took you off guard. In response, you wrapped your arms tightly around Leon and kissed his forehead, closing your eyes.
- “No. I am not nor will I ever leave you, Lee. I don't plan on going anywhere without you.” You told him and you felt Leon relax in your embrace. “Why did you think I was going to leave you?”
- “Hop…” Was all Leon whispered with a sigh. “I know how much he got on your nerves recently and I felt like you've been avoiding me because of him.”
- “Oh Lee… no, I wasn't avoiding you at all.” You said, now feeling bad for being the cause of Leon’s state. “I was trying to find a way to deal with Hop and not get so angry at him for just being a kid…”
Leon said nothing but still found a way to get closer to you. You smiled and kissed his face, hand caressing his side and fingers tracing his fresh scars.
- “Not going anywhere…” he whispered so low you thought you had hallucinated those words.
- “Not without you. Besides, I’ve been thinking about us, you know? We've been together for almost ten years now and… I think it's time to take the next step.”
You felt Leon freeze in your embrace and he looked up at you. Even in the darkness of the room, you could see his eyes and could almost imagine his expression. You smiled and rested your forehead against his.
- “I am serious. I want to take the next step, get married and get a house. Just you and me.” You whispered, your breathe tickling his lips.
Leon said nothing, but you felt him nod and you knew he was overcome with emotion. It was Leon who kissed you first, hungry, and you rested your fingers on his cheek as you kissed him back. Against your lips, you felt Leon smiling and it made you happy. You didn't have any ring yet, but you had been look around, trying to find the perfect one for Leon. Knowing he agreed to take the next step only made you more determined to find it.
That night, you slept peacefully in a cocoon of warmth and love, Leon cuddled against you. The ex-champion never once let go of you, as if you would disappear in an instant if he dared to take his hands off you.
In the morning, those same hands woke you up. You groaned as soft lips brushed against your neck and you smiled, your own hands caressing Leon’s naked back. You heard Leon chuckle before you kissed him.
You sighed and groaned when Hop knocked on the door, calling for Leon.
- “You gotta be fucking kidding me.” You hissed under your breath while Leon hid his face in the crook of your neck. “You know what? Fuck it.”
- “What?” Leon asked before gasping as you flipped him on his back, your lips kissing his neck.
Leon’s arms wrapped almost instinctively around you, nails slightly scratching your back as you left a trail of kisses from his neck down to his hips. Your fingers played with the elastic of his underwear. Leon’s fingers grabbed your hair as you kissed his cock over his underwear.
- “Fuck, you serious right now? My brother is right outside the door.” Leon whispered, face as red as a tomato while his eyes stared at the door.
- “Yeah. I’m tired of being cock blocked, let the brat see. Maybe he’s going to leave us alone now.” You chuckled, slowly taking off Leon’s underwear.
Your lover didn't stop, on the contrary. Maybe Leon was as tired as you from Hop’s antics, maybe he actually wanted to keep going, but he smiled and lifted his hips to give you a hand. You kissed his inner thighs, Leon’s fingers still in your hair and Hop still knocking at the door.
A gasp left Leon’s lips when you took his cock in your mouth. Under your hands, you could feel his body slightly shaking each time you moved your head up and down, taking him deeper into your throat. Leon was half cursing under his breath and half begging for more.
How could you tell him no?
You slid your fingers between his cheeks, caressing his hole. Leon tensed for a second before relaxing and spreading his legs more for you. You slowly pushed a first finger in him, distracting him from the discomfort by giving more attention to his tip.
Leon pulled on your hair with one hand, biting the other to keep quiet. Thankfully by now his little brother had left the door alone and there was nothing left to keep his mind busy. Leon quickly relaxed and got used to your finger, allowing you to add the second. Moving them slowly, you searched for that sweet bundle of nerve that made him see stars.
You found it soon, flexing your fingers and hitting it almost immediately. Leon arched his back, pushing his cock deeper into your throat and taking you by surprise. A litany of “sorry” left his mouth through little whines and whimpers, making it hard for you to be pissed.
You knew he was close when it began hard for him to keep his hips immobile. You turned all your attention on his prostate, massaging and milking it. Without warning, Leon came undone in your mouth, a low moan escaping his lips.
Swallowing everything, you slowly took his cock out of your mouth and pulled your fingers out. You kissed his hips and belly, hands caressing him as Leon panted and tried to calm his breath. He wrapped his arms around you once you began kissing his chest and laughed.
- “Shit, it had been so long…” He whispered, eyes closed and you nodded, resting your chin against his racing heart.
- “Yeah. I missed that and I miss your voice. We really need to get a place just for ourselves so I can make you scream again.”
Leon blushed even more shaking his head in amusement. But you both froze when someone knocker louder on the door.
- “Leon, Y/N, come on now, breakfast is ready and it's getting cold.” Leon’s mother called.
- “Coming ma!” Leon shouted and you chuckled.
- “You already came.” You teased him before Leon smacked you on the head.
- “Shut up before my mother hears you.” He hissed, redder if possible.
You got off him and together dressed up. You stopped by the bathroom to wash your face and teeth before joining the rest of the family. You got a look from his parents as you sat next to a still-blushing Leon, knowing they had an idea of what had been happening that morning.
But you didn't care.
Hop acted as usual, but for once he didn't get on your nerves and Leon seemed happier than yesterday. As you ate, you realized that you were happy, happier too. Everything seemed to fall into place and it hit you that soon you and Leon would take the next step and get your own forever place. You smiled when Leon looked at you, stars in his eyes as he took your hand. Yes. The chaos that the last months had been was over and you entered a new joyful beginning.
Leon Proposal and Wedding Headcanons
i understand the poll is not over yet, but this is the clear winnder! i've been watching a ton of wedding content recently, so i was so jazzed to receive this request. thanks anon!
features: gn! reader and 1 mild sexual refernce. other just pure fluff! also not proofread
Enjoy!
Now that he’s no longer champion
Leon has his sights on a much more important title
Husband
And the first step to gaining that title?
Finding a wonderful, awesome person that he loves and loves him back unconditionally?
He’s already got that covered!
Spoilers! It’s you!
Now he has to take the next step
The proposal
With Lee, I can see this going two ways, depending on the kind of person you are
If you’re someone who loves the spotlight, a fellow elite-class trainer and/or a major celebrity
I can totally see him proposing to you in front of a massive crowd in Wyndon Stadium
After an intense heart-pounding match
If you’re his opponent, when you go to shake his hand after the battle, he’ll take it
And drop down on one knee
If you’re just watching the match, he’ll call you out to the pitch
As the new head of the Galar League, he’s already got the staff clued in, no surprises with them
You walk onto the pitch to a roar of applause, having an inkling of what’s about to happen, where Lee gives you a kiss, takes your hand and get into position
Presents to you a little velvet box
And gives a heart-warming but brief speech
He’d love to go on, really pour his heart out… but some of the things he wants to say are just for your ears only
The whole time the audience is waiting on bated breath
With the occasional holler of “Go Leon!” and “Say Yes!”
Somebody did shout “Say no! I wanna marry him first!”
Which admittedly made you chuckle
The whole proposal is being broadcasted on the big screen, and across the region, maybe even the world
Which means, when you say – no, exclaim - “Yes!”, It’s the yes heard around the world
The crowd goes W I L D
Just an eruption of clapping and hollering and screaming
But you don’t register it at all
No, you’re too focused on the love of your life, slipping a gorgeous ring on your finger
And taking you in his arms
So warm, and strong, and perfect
He holds you to his body like you’re the most precious thing to him
Which you are
“I love you,” you hear him whisper in your ear
Your answer comes in the form of a passionate, triumphant kiss
Which makes the crowd go even crazier
Now, if you’re someone who’s more introverted, private and/or not a fan of public proposals
I imagine it’d go a little something like this;
It’d be a proposal in your shared home
And he’ll pull out all the stops to make it as romantic and as cosy as possible
He’ll secretly take a half day from the battle tower to prepare everything while you’re busy with work/school/etc.
The whole living room will be transformed
I’m talking candles (with your favourite scent)
Bunches upon bunches of favourite flowers
An arch decorated with said flowers
And so many photos of the two of you together from your relationship
Plus, ones of you that he just thinks are cute
He’ll prepare your favourite meal or order your favourite takeaway too
And he’ll wait by the front door, practically buzzing with excitement (and a touch of anxiety)
I mean, he’s pretty sure you’ll say yes
But he has an old, toxic friendship with doubt so, it’ll always be there, whispering falsehoods
You arrive home
Greeted by the sight of your purple haired himbo
And the lovely display he’s set up for you
It’s not your birthday, so you know something special is afoot
Even though, you’re certain it’s going to end with a proposal, you still end up feeling surprised
He takes your hand and walks you through all your memories together, reminding you how much you mean to him, how lucky he is to have you, how you’ve always been there for him, how much he loves you
And how he can’t imagine his life without you
It would be too painful
All ending with him getting on one knee under the arch of your favourite flowers
You’re crying, he’s crying
As you say “Yes!” and share a tight embrace
No matter if his proposal is public or private, the wedding is DEFINITELY private
That celebration of your love with you friends and family, just isn’t for the world to see
Except a few photos on social media a week or two later lol
It’ll be cute, quaint rustic affair
Probably in Wedgehurst or Postwick
In one of those farmhouses that double as wedding venues
Raihan is most likely best man
Hop’s just a bit too young
But he’s definitely a groomsman, and the ring bearer
He and Wooloo take this job very seriously
If you for one second think Charizard isn’t also a groomsman and wearing a bowtie, you’re SORELY mistaken my friend
The guest list is mainly your and his friends and family, and the Galar League
For the life of me, I can’t imagine Lee in a plain black suit/tux
He’ll at least wear a jacket that’s a colour that suits him
Probably something that’ll match the colour scheme
Let me tell you one thing
Well, two things
Lee will definitely cry
And he will carry you over every. single. threshold.
No exceptions
When he goes in for the kissTM he’ll cup your face and kiss you with so much love and passion you’ll be breathless
I’m sorry but that just gives me butterfrees
He will give a speech and a toast to you at the reception
It’ll be heartfelt and dorky just like him
Raihan’s best man speech is funny, and just a touch irreverent
He definitely harps on about how you’re way out of Leon’s league
And how smitten Lee is with you
When it comes to the cake, if you let him, Lee would like to smush a bit of it on your face
Just a little smush
Which he fully expects you to do back to him
Again, only if this is something you want
You two will definitely feed each other cake either way though
During the whole reception (and before) Lee just has this goofy, lovestruck expression on his face
He gives you heart eyes the entire time
And he keeps asking if it’s really real
Is he really your husband now?
You delight in telling him yes, every time
Your first dance is basically just the two of you hugging while you sway to music for like three minutes
The world disappears, and it’s just you and your husband
It’s perfect
After a fantastic night of food, dancing and fun
Leon picks you up and carries you over one last threshold
Sure, the night may be done, but the fun? That’s not over yet ;)
Raihan setting up a curvy female!reader with Leon on a blind date for a treat? I've had the idea for ages but between work and school, I'm too lazy and preoccupied to write it 😭. Thanks so much! ❤
you got it dude!! one simping leon coming right up!
🍓🍓🍓
Leon isn't sure why he agreed to this. He sinks into his seat some as the patrons of this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant gaze at him, whispering to one another. He's lucky it's more of an adult establishment, with folks kind enough not to walk up to him and ask for an autograph.
A blind date, Raihan called it. He had sworn up and down that the woman he knew would be a perfect match for Leon. But Leon doesn't know if he believes it, no entirely. He trusts Raihan's judgement, but he knows the tendency for people to only see Champion Leon. They sometimes didn't care for the man beneath the title and the crowned snapback.
But, Leon has to admit he does feel a little lonely, and he does want a relationship. He wants the domesticity and the butterfrees and the flowers that come with it. He hopes whoever this woman is, she wants something similar with him and not just the Champion.
When you walk into the restaurant, dressed how Raihan told him you would be, Leon feels his heart stutter and trip over itself. The outfit you chose suits you well, better than anything he could've imagined, hugging the curves of your body and accenting the way your hips gently sway when you walk.
You spot him, and stop in your tracks, your eyes wide with shock. But then you split into a warm, albeit shy smile. You make your way over to his table, and you settle into your seat.
"Hello." You greet, chuckling to yourself. "Doesn't Raihan have a way with words? You're the last person I expected to find in that chair."
Leon laughs too, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, but he said it'd be worth it." He glances up at you, grin boyish and lopsided. "And I'm starting to think he's right."
A blush blooms across your face, and Leon chuffs up, pleased.
You spend the dinner together, and Leon finds himself growing more entranced. You talk about life, friends and family, hobbies and Pokémon. Leon waits for your questions about his job, the money and celebrities he knows, but you don't press him on any of it. You leave your questions casual and open ended, letting him decide what he wants to talk about. And Leon likes it, a lot.
He likes how interested you seem in his family, how you laugh at his silly stories and coo at the baby pictures of Hop he shows you. In return, you talk about Raihan, how the two of you met and how annoying the man has been, bugging you about going out with a friend of his.
"He said you and I would get along," you tell Leon, sipping your wine with a soft huff of amusement, "because we're both sad sacks moping about wanting relationships."
Leon snorts. "Rich, coming from him!"
"Right? He's got a lot of advice for someone chronically single."
Leon grins, eyeing the hand you lay on the table as you set your glass down. He taps his fingers on the tablecloth, now somewhat strained by the meals you had, and inches his hand closer to yours.
As you continue to talk, some playful teasing towards Raihan, Leon slides his finger tips over your own fingers, tracing the valleys between your knuckles, before settling his palm over your hand. His had engulfs yours, but its warm, calloused. It feels safe.
You smile at him, twisting your hand so your palms align, tracing along the veins of his wrist.
Leon blushes, but he's too giddy to care. He doesn't want this date to end, even though the waiter has dropped off the check.
"Hey!" He says, a bit to loud. It earns a few glances from the nosier of the other patrons, but you just cock your head, nodding for him to continue. "Um, let's go hit one of the parks. I wanna meet your Pokémon."
Your eyes twinkle in the low lights of the evening sun. "Here, I'll do you one better." The squeeze of your hand in his makes his heart flip-flop again. "Why don't you come over? You can meet my Pokémon, and I'll meet yours too, yeah?"
Leon is nodding before you even finish your offer.
And if people see you both walking out of the restaurant, Champion Leon's hand following the curve of your hip? If the press posts pictures tomorrow of the mysterious woman seen taking the Champion Leon home with her? He doesn't care. Not if it means getting to spend more time being just Leon with you.
🍓🍓🍓
hope this is something like what you would've written! show me if you ever write it too!! i'd love to see how they compare!!
Hi, Iove the way you write! Since requests are open, could I request a NSFW one, please? Where Leon and female reader lose their virginities to one another?
TW: Smut (fairly vanilla), Dick Piercing, AFAB reader, Character x reader, mentions of protection
This is my first time writing smut so I hope it did an ok job at it. Sorry this took so long it’s been absolutely insane over here between storms, outages, and preparing to go to school in a month~Jade
------------------------------------------------------
“Are you sure, we don’t have to if you don’t think you’re ready yet”, Leon asks looking for any sign of apprehension or hesitance, he’s alwaysbeen so considerate and sweet like that.
“Leon I’m certain, I’ve thought it over plenty this last week and I think I’m ready this time.” You state, the topic at hand being that of taking things further with your boyfriend. The first time one of you suggested sex the session didn’t go much further than a more heated makeout session, which of course was still quite nice, you just got cold feet when Leon had gone to start pushing up your shirt. Leon being the gentleman he is stopped when you’d grabbed his hand and said you’d changed your mind and just wanted to cuddle instead.
The second time was an accident, you would’ve gone further had you and Leon not gotten a surprise visit from your mother and had to hurry to get your shirts back on so she wouldn’t know what was going on and further embarrass the two of you.
This time though you’d both made sure that there would be no interruptions and you had both talked it over the couple days leading up to make sure you were both still comfortable with the decision.
Leon upon getting confirmation from you, gently cupped the back of your neck, pulling you close to kiss you while he moved to lean you back and move over you, slotting himself between your legs. After a few minutes you reached up to comb your fingers through his hair and pull him closer to deepen the kiss. Slowly you feel his hand move from the mattress and trail from your thigh up your side, gently sliding beneath your shirt to move it up and over your head, briefly breaking the kiss before diving right back in for more. You eventually feel him reach back down to shift your hips up and start grinding against you pressing his hardening bulge up to your quickly heating core. You move one of your hands from his hair to trail down his chest to do away with his top like he had yours, after which you started trailing down towards his pants to slide them off. Leon pulled back for a bit to help shimmy off his pants and help you with yours, revealing a tent in his boxers and a wet stain on your own undies.
It was at this point you both took a second to breath and realize how far you’ve gotten. Leon situates himself back between your legs before touching his forehead to yours and asking with a heavy breath, ”Do you want to continue? We can stop if you want.”
Catching your own breath you reply, “Yes, I want to keep going”
“Alright then”, he sighs as he gently reaches into your panties and begins to caress your folds and clit, his hands coarse from training with his team. At the new sensation you let out a gasp as Leon's other hand reaches up behind your back to undo your bra which he then brushes off your chest to release your chest from its confines. Continuing to stroke your opening he uses his other hand to gently cup one of your breasts massaging it and further intensifying the already present sensations. Wishing for more you buck your hips a bit to try and get him to actually insert his fingers, and eventually he does after a bit starting with one as to not hurt you, adding another and plumbing them faster when you grind against his hand again. Eventually he gives into his own temptation taking the neglected breast into his mouth, sucking on it as he continues to massage the other. Soon enough you begin to feel a coiling sensation within your abdomen, gasps having turned to moans as you thread your fingers into Leon’s hair again
“I-I think I’m gonna-” you start as he rises up from your chest to capsure your lips once more tugging on them with his teeth. You feel the coil snap and soon after he draws his fingers out and looks at them curiously. Leon looks at his hand before tentatively taking a lick, his eyes widening as he cleans the rest of them off.
You whine trying to grind up against his cock which you can see is dripping with precum and a glint from the jacobs ladder that he’d gotten due to a dare.
“Hold on dear let me get this on”, Leon teases as he grabs a small packet from the bedside table, opening it and rolling the condom onto his member, “Now, I’m asking one more time, are you sure you’re ready?”
You look at him and nod to indicate that you wish to continue.
“Alright, just let me know if it's too much and I'll slow down”, he states, lining himself up. Slowly he pushes in groaning, the stretch made you moan as he filled you up, you feel the ridging from his piercings drag against your insides. After a few minutes he begins to move slowly at first panting, quickly he begins to pick up his pace as the sound of moaning and skin slapping fills the room.
It doesn’t take long for him to start getting close, not used to the feeling as his hips snap into yours. Reaching down he begins to play with your clit to bring you closer with him, he also takes one of your nipples into his mouth sucking on it. The combined sensations quickly bring you to the edge and with a loud groan and a scream you both come together.
Pulling out and discarding the used condom he collapses onto the bed beside you, pulling you close to him as the two of you drift off together with mumbled ‘I love you’s.
Your time working alongside All Might was cut short due to his devastating injury and Sir Nighteye’s grim warning of the resurgence of All For One brought you no choice but to part ways with your lover for the greater good.
Upon your return, you took up a new role as UA’s next nurse, under the guidance of Recovery Girl. Yet, as you re-entered the lives of your old friends and stepped back into the growing conflict with the League of Villains, your past, connections, and the secrets buried deep within you would challenge you resolve and ultimately shape your destiny.
Adore You | Leon x Reader (Oneshot)
Genre: Super Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort
It’s been a particularly challenging week. And as much as you’ve tried to brush it off, along with Leon’s concern, the weight of everything is starting to bear down on you hard. If you were honest, you’ve been in a constant state of exhaustion.
Deadlines and expectations seem to be ever looming, the only rival in magnitude to either being the damned imposter syndrome you’d been trying desperately to bat away. At this point, you’re questioning if you’d somehow accidentally stumbled into where you are in life.
This afternoon, you’d happened to get home before Leon did and immediately slithered out of your clothes and into your bed, wrapping the sheets around yourself. Your eyes fell shut, hoping to drown out the world. All you can hear is the sound of your breath, drawing slowly and softly, yet somehow each inhale felt heavier than usual. With all of the thoughts swirling around in your mind, you almost didn’t hear the footsteps approaching or the sound of the bed shifting under someone’s weight settling next to you.
The subtle scent of cinnamon, vanilla and bourbon in Leon’s cologne bringing the slightest comfort before anything else. His hand tugs at the edge of the blanket you had so tightly folded yourself into, loosening it just enough so that he could slide into the cocoon with you. Without saying anything, he nestled his broad frame against your back, an arm working its way around your waist and angling up so that his palm was against your cheek.
The first crack.
You trembled at your core, all of your pent up fears and anxieties simmering inside you, threatening to boil over. Allowing yourself to ease into Leon’s hand, you took in the warmth of his skin — he was somehow always warm — and could feel the callouses built up from almost two decades of training. Calluses that were rough and worn, but always felt like home when they were running along your back. Letting his thumb trace across your cheek to play along your lips, he inched his body closer, his other hand moving to brush your tousled hair out of your face. You hear him sigh deeply before placing a gentle kiss at the back of your head, then resting his nose against your neck.
The second, and final crack.
You couldn’t hold it back anymore and the tears began to trickle down, wetting Leon’s hand. It’s silent for a moment, until the tiniest whimper escapes you. You try to pull away, but strong arms hold you in place, pressing you in closer. “Shhh…”
“You’re so strong, love. Being vulnerable is a part of that strength,” he whispered into your skin.
Still soft, but now audible sobs were wracking your body. You were sure Leon could feel you shaking and you couldn’t figure out if you should be embarrassed or if you should find solace in the fact that him, simply being who he was, brought your soul to ease.
“And know that even when you’re feeling your weakest, I’ll adore you. Always.”
At that, you turn around to face your champion, your lips quickly finding his, hands tangling themselves in those unruly, violet locks. Between the tender glances and exchanged breaths, you knew you’d eventually make it out the other end.
How could you not.
Ok, how about how Leon is when he's drunk? ;D HCs, please! (More importantly, is he the type to cry when his wife tells him she's married? X3) Oh, and have his children witnessed it?
This is such a good ask! Sorry I didn’t respond sooner, I could not get myself to sit down and write.
Drunk Leon headcannons
Female reader, slight nsfw.
Leon is very silly when he’s drunk. He’s giggly, and thinks everything is hilarious. But he’s also very affection, and touchy. He’s leaning his arm on you, or maybe even feeling you up.
If you tell him you’re married [and he doesn’t put the pieces together that it’s him] you bet your ass he’s gonna cry.
A perfect girl like you is already taken??? How dare they! And you have KIDS with this person?! Unacceptable!
He doesn’t get drunk often, so when he does it’s a special treat. Especially not in front of your four children. He doesn’t want to set a bad example.
But when your kids are all adults and come by for a visit… Perhaps they’ll get to see their father drunk for the first time.
So i had an idea for a request~ how about Leon and Ingo (Separate) being Vampire hunters but they inadvertently fall for one of the vampires they were sent to slay~?
A person falling for a monster is delicious, but it being someone sworn to kill the monster too? Extra delicious.
🍓🍓🍓
Ingo:
The night is dark, perpetual. Ingo supposes it's deliberate, being a creature such as yourself. You prefer the moonlight, shy from the sun despite craving warmth.
Ingo knows that now.
It's been. . . a month? Two? Ingo isn't quite sure, not after the nasty tumble he took down the mountain on the way to your hidden home. There's a dull throb through his temple even now, even after being so cared for, but he can ignore it most days.
On those he can't, you bring him medicinal tea and warm meals, letting him curl up in bed all day should he want.
It's so unlike the compound. He trained there for years, honing his body and mind alike to be perfect for killing creatures like you. Monsters that feed off people, killing them viciously, wastefully.
But you have people in the town nearby. They come to you, freely offering an arm when you begin to hunger. And you make sure they are not harmed in return. Your hearing, your sense of smell, all of it attuned to the village you swear to protect.
Yet, even as they freely offer you blood, you're so careful. Ingo has spied on your feedings enough time to see how gentle you are, fangs pricking just enough to allow you to slurp down the blood. And your people never flinch, merely smile, even laughing as you fret and bandage their wounds with your mouth still stained crimson.
And Ingo finds himself wondering what it feels like, pricked by your fangs and caressed by your lips.
You are nothing like what he was taught. You are kindness and sacrifice, for he sees the slight hollowness to your cheeks even when flushed from a fresh feeding.
You never mention it, but you must know what he is, why he's here. You don't seem afraid, if anything you seem. . . accepting of it. Of his duty. You haven't taken his weapons, haven't locked him away or restrained him or used him for ransom. You didn't leave him to die.
And now he doesn't want to see you dead either.
Leon:
Leon hates the world he lives in.
He hates the need to hunt down monsters to protect who he loves. He hates that he was chosen as the town's Hunter, the protector of everyone, strongest in the village, maybe the region if the whispers are true.
He hates that all of it, the training and the blood and the sweat and the tears, has led to this.
Leon never knew you were what he had to hunt. You hid it so well, with gloves and hats and careful smiles. Never had Leon seen you raise a hating hand to anyone. He'd only seen you tend bruises and cuts, read stories and carry firewood for anyone who needed it.
You were an endless stream of kindness and aid.
And now here you lie, cut down by Leon's own sword.
A raw, choking noise breaks from his throat. It's drowned out by the crowd behind him, a mess of torches and pitchforks that mar and mold everyone in a wall of screaming anger.
How could everyone had been fooled by you, a monster amongst the mortals of the village?
How easily they had turned on you, realizing your true self. All your kindness was forgotten, all the trust you had garnered lost in a fleeting moment of fear and hatred.
Leon wants to hate you too. You tricked him, everyone, yet you lay before him, wounded by him, and you don't fight back.
He knows you could. You could destroy him in an instant, but you don't. You lie there and you take it. And Leon hates it.
Hates that it's you he has to kill.
Hates that his hands are shaking.
Hates that he's crying over your dying body.
Hates that it always, always had to end this way.
🍓🍓🍓
ta-da! hope i did it justice!!
I crawl out of my slumber to request for Leon from swsh with his s/o braiding flowers info his hair
This is gonna end up being a short shot because I was having a real hard time with the build up for this one so it's straight into the fluff instead. TW: gender neutral reader, extreme amount of fluff
“When was the last time Leon and I had time off?”, you thought to yourself while you and your boyfriend lounged in the field near his childhood home, both of your guy’s pokemon were either running around playing or lounging around the tree with the two of you. The two of you had taken the week off to visit with his family and spend some time together. You were leaned up against a tree while Leon had his head resting in your lap giving you the chance to play with his long fluffy hair. You’d gone from just combing through it to absentmindedly making small little braids in it. You soon feel a little nudge to your side as you look down to see your Bellossom next to you holding an armful of small colorful flowers in her arms. Carefully while trying to stifle your giggling you take a few flowers and start to work them into the braids you’d already made and into the one you’re working on, you knew Leon wouldn’t be waking up from his little nap till it was time to go inside to eat so you had plenty of time to incorporate all of the flowers in and sneak a little picture on your phone to make your wallpaper later. By the time you finish his head is practically covered in flowers. You eventually hear Hop loudly call for the two of you to come inside because lunch was ready, meaning it was time to wake up the sleeping man in your lap. You carefully start to shake his shoulders while saying through the chuckling, ”Leon, sweetheart it’s time to head back inside it’s lunch time. Don’t want to leave everyone waiting, do you?” Beginning to stir from his slumber Leon seems to notice the mischievous smile on your face replying, “Ok I’m up I'm up, what's got you all giggly love? Did I say something silly in my sleep again?” “No buuuut you may want to take a moment to check your hair when we get back inside”, you slyly say as you wiggle your half asleep legs out from under Leon’s head and shoulders. Standing up and recalling your pokemon you give yourself a head start back to the house before he notices the first flowery braid that falls in his face.
Remember Me
Chapter 7: The Man of Fire
Champion Leon x Reader
Note: I’m surprised the whole thing uploaded this time! I guess the Nessa chapter was too long. But here it is as long at last! And happy thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates it! ^^
(Tumblr won’t let post links so you’d have to go through the master list ((pinned))to check on the chapters)
After yet another sleepless night, you slipped out of the bedroom and made your way toward the firehouse, only to veer left and tread across the familiar bridge. Beneath you, rushing water cascaded through the gears, their steady whir a backdrop to the stillness of the night.
You sank onto a bench overlooking the star-filled sky, releasing Houndoom by your side.
“You think this was a mistake?” you murmured, your voice barely louder than the flowing water. Houndoom tilted his head in confusion before giving a firm shake.
A sigh escaped your lips as you leaned against his sturdy frame. “I miss it all… my home, my family…” You hesitated, your voice dropping to a whisper. “My Leon.”
“Figured you’d be here again.”
Your heart jumped as you turned toward the shadows, spotting two faint glimmers of light—eyes, sharp and watchful. The figure stepped forward, revealing himself.
“Fiore,” you exhaled, pressing a hand to your chest. “You gave me quite the scare.”
He chuckled softly, but a cough interrupted him as he moved forward with a cane.
“Oh! Let me help you!” You quickly offered, guiding him to the bench.
“Thank you. I didn’t mean to startle you.” He settled down, only for Houndoom to leap over and land in his lap.
“Arceus, stop—Houndoom!”
But Fiore just smiled, his calm, steady gaze meeting Houndoom’s. With a quiet, deliberate tone, he tapped the end of his cane on the concrete and said firmly, “Down.”
To your surprise, Houndoom obeyed instantly, hopping to the ground and sitting tall by your side, his posture alert but content.
“How did you…?” you began, blinking in disbelief.
Fiore adjusted his hat with a knowing smile. “I have my ways,” he said simply.
“But wait, you’re using a cane?” you asked, noticing the sturdy, polished black wooden cane he held on.
He sighed, a small chuckle escaping his lips before he looked down at the cane in his hand, running a finger over the faint carvings along its shape. “Age’s catching up to me more than ever, sweetheart,” he replied, his voice tinged with a touch of weariness, though his calm demeanor remained unshaken.
He shifted slightly, wincing ever so subtly, before giving you a reassuring smile. “I heard about your recent successes in the Gym Challenge,” he began, his voice smooth and carrying an unexpected admiration despite his age. “Word’s getting around about a fierce Trainer making their way up the ranks.”
The sun began to peek over the horizon, its soft golden light spreading across the landscape, casting a warm glow over everything in its path. Yet, despite the beauty of the morning, a dark shadow lingered above Fiore, as if the sunlight itself hesitated to touch him.
“I think I’m doing alright, though” you replied modestly, with Alola flashing in your mind. “There’s still a long way to go.”
Fiore hums, reaching into his coat. “Don’t sell yourself short,” he murmured. “You’ve already made quite a name for yourself.” From his coat, he withdrew a carefully wrapped item, its rounded shape unmistakable. “Consider this a token of encouragement—for the victory yet to come.”
Your breath hitched as you accepted the gift, cradling the warm egg in your hands. “But I haven’t even faced Kabu yet,” you pointed out, puzzled by his confidence.
Beneath the shadow of his hat, Fiore’s lips curved into a faint, almost chilling smile. But perhaps it was the shadow playing on your mind. “It’s in your blood,” he said, his tone steady and resolute. “Victory will always be yours.”
His words hung heavily in the air, carrying a weight you couldn’t quite place. You ran your fingers over the egg’s surface, its warmth seeping into your skin as Houndoom nudged your leg for reassurance.
“Thank you,” you said softly, glancing at Fiore.
“Remember,” he said, his tone a mix of paternal warmth and something more enigmatic, “no matter what challenges lie ahead, you’re destined to overcome them.”
His certainty left you both comforted and unsettled, as if he knew something you didn’t. You turned your focus to the egg in your hands, grounding yourself in its warmth and promise.
Fiore’s words hung in the air as he stood to leave, his figure merging effortlessly with the fading shadows before the sun fully claimed the sky, dispelling the remnants of the night.
As a yawn stretches across your face in the early morning, you spot Marnie lounging on one of the sofas with a Nintendo switch in her hands in the inn lobby. Her Morpeko buzzes with energy, darting from one spot to another, earning a small, rare smile from the typically stoic girl.
“Marnie! Hey!” you call out with a big wave.
Her eyes widen slightly before she returns the wave, lowering the switch. “Mornin’! Are you lookin’ for your sister?”
You nod, prompting her to continue. “She’s with Hop and some guy who really needs to fix his roots.”
You sigh before whispering. “They’re with Guzma. They just can’t stay still.”
You had woken up alone this morning, which was on you for staying up far too late the night before.
“At the registration, I was able to snag some of his League Cards that supposedly help against him,” she said, rummaging through her bag holding up a card.
But not just any card, between your fingers is now a signed Kabu League Card and behind it, his Pokemon and moveset.
“Don’t look so chuffed—it’s no big deal,” she adds, brushing off any sense of generosity.
“I didn’t say anything,” you mutter defensively, raising your hands in surrender before tucking the card into your bag, where it joined the rest of your unorganized collection of League Cards.
Marnie clasps her hands behind her back. “I think you’re one of the last challengers of the day—you, some others, and Marcella. I heard she was seen with Leon the other day.”
Your chest tightens at her words, “…Oh.”
Marnie frowns slightly, tilting her head. “I feel kinda bad for him, honestly. It’s obvious that it’s an arrangement.”
She gave a little shake of her head before straightening. “Anyway, I bet you’ll have no trouble beatin’ that ‘Man of Fire’ Kabu chap. Why don’t ya get to the stadium and claim that Gym Badge already?”
With a small smile, murmuring your thanks, you step out of the inn. As you make your way toward the Gym, you idly scroll through your phone. A headline caught your eye:
“Champion Leon and Rising Star Marcella: Galar’s New Power Couple?”
Your footsteps falter as you stare at the article, the accompanying image showing Leon and Marcella side by side. He was smiling, his signature cape draped over one shoulder, while she stood close, her confident grin aimed directly at the camera. The caption read:
“Spotted together outside the Wyndon Stadium, Leon and Marcella seem to be growing closer both on and off the battlefield.”
You blink, rereading the headline and the subtext. A pit settled in your stomach, twisting uncomfortably as doubts begins to creep in. Was Marnie right? Was this all some kind of arrangement? Or worse—what if it wasn’t?
“Danielle! You’re that challenger everyone’s talking about!” a young girl gasps, her wide-eyed admiration.
“And she’s probably headed to face Kabu right now!” an older man chimes in from beside her, likely her grandfather.
“Go all out!” the girl cheered, thrusting a fist into the air.
Shaking your head, you locked your phone and stuffed it into your pocket, smiling and waved back at them, though the gesture felt awkward—your media training was definitely rusty.
Leon isn’t your priority right now; the Gym Badge is. And yet, as you step through the stadium gates, the image of the two of them lingers at the edge of your thoughts, no matter how hard you try to push it away.
And now here you are, the Motostoke Gym lobby, where fiery décor dominates the space. Streaks of flame lined the walls and guides your path toward the reception desk, the air buzzing with heat and anticipation.
After completing your registration and changing into your Gym Uniform, you head toward the waiting area—only to stop in your tracks when you spot a familiar figure standing confidently with his hands on his hips. Two others flanked him, grinning.
“We’ve been waitin’ for a hot minute, y’know!” Guzma calls out, his voice dripping with mock impatience.
You sigh, rubbing the back of your neck. “Sorry, Guz,”
Before he could reply, Hop and Lyz steps up beside him, both brimming with energy.
“Slow as ever, Dani!” Hop teases, bouncing to his feet and shoving his newly earned Fire Badge so close to your face that you had to lean back to avoid a collision. “We already got ours!”
Lyz burst into laughter, doubling over as she clutches her sides.
“And you two waking up early? There’s hope for you yet,” you tease with a smirk.
“Hey!” Your sister huffs, puffing out her cheeks.
You glance between the three of them, raising an eyebrow. “But if you’ve all already got your badges, why are you still here?”
Guzma groans, dragging a hand down his face.
“To watch you win!” Hop and Lyz chimes in unison, their enthusiasm infectious.
A sheepish smile tugs at your lips as a mix of gratitude and embarrassment warms your chest. “Well, guess I can’t disappoint now, huh?”
“That’s the spirit!” Hop beams, giving a thumbs-up. “You’ve got this! Just watch out—Kabu’s Arcanine is no joke.”
“And he loves to throw in a Will-O-Wisp to mess with your strategy,” Lyz adds, her tone unusually serious.
Guzma nods, “Just stick to that Croconaw of yours. Ain’t nothing fire can do against water.”
You hum, their words of encouragement steadying your nerves.
The receptionist’s voice called you over, cutting your conversation short.
“Good luck!” Hop calls out, practically vibrating with excitement.
“Make it a good show,” Guzma adds with a sly grin. “Don’t let us down, champ.”
Lyz smiles softly, her quiet confidence in you saying more than words ever could.
The receptionist greets you warmly, ushering you closer. “Welcome, young Challenger,” they said with a polite nod. “Right this way to the Gym Mission.”
They couldn’t help but mention your impressive performance in yesterday’s match, but their tone shifts as they lean in slightly. “That said, be prepared—Kabu is on a whole different level than Nessa.”
You take a deep breath, steeling yourself as you follow the staff toward the challenge that awaited.
The dome radiates intense heat, a sharp contrast to the icy waterfalls of Nessa’s arena. At its center lay a circular racing stadium, divided into patches of grass and cones. Three trainers stood near the edges of the grassy areas, their postures tense with focus, while in the middle stood the familiar blond-mustached referee: Dan. He steps forward, his voice carrying easily across the heated arena.
Your gaze shifts to a scoreboard behind him, displaying four names—including your own. Beside him rests a tray holding six Poké Balls, their polished surfaces glinting under the harsh dome lights. Overhead, a few RotoCams buzzes, capturing every angle of the mission—and of you.
“To clear this mission, you’ll need to earn six points,” Dan explains, holding up his fingers for emphasis. “You’ll have six Poké Balls at your disposal, so make every throw count. Got it?”
“Got it,” you reply, nodding firmly.
“You’ll earn one point for defeating a Pokémon in the tall grass, or two points for catching it. Battles will continue until the Pokémon has been defeated or captured. It’s as simple as that!”
Dan continues, his voice firm. “But you won’t be alone in this competition. Other trainers will be joining you in the battles. Pay attention to their moves and plan your strategy to rack up points!”
A faint smile tugs at your lips as a few ideas began to form in your mind.
“Gym Mission… START!” Dan shouts, his whistle piercing the air.
You take a quick scan of the room once more, noting the nearest trainers and patches of grass. You grabbed the Poké Balls from the tray, sliding them into your shorts pocket, and step forward, ready to take on the challenge.
“Good afternoon, loyal viewers! I am Shieldbert, reporting live from Motostoke, joined, as always, by my brother, Sordward!”
“Thank you, Shieldbert! And welcome to yet another thrilling session of the Gym Challenge. Today, we kick off with one of the final matches featuring none other than Miss Johto herself!”
You approach the first patch of grass to the left of the entrance, spotting a young man with chestnut hair standing nearby. Movement rustles within the tall grass, and you exchanged a curious glance with the boy before a Vulpix sprang into view. It bared its teeth, ready to fight.
Wasting no time, you send Deino into battle, and your opponent responds with a Rolycoly. Both Pokémon stood poised, the air charges with the tension of the first challenge.
“Let’s give it our best, Deino!” you encourage.
Deino roars in agreement, lowering his stance in preparation. You quickly call for a Dragon Breath attack, but just as you gave the order, you stomp your right foot forcefully on the ground. Without hesitation, Deino shifted targets, redirecting his attack toward the Rolycoly.
The boy blinks in astonishment, gasping audibly at your maneuver. In the announcer booth, Shieldbert’s voice rang out with intrigue.
“Would you look at that! Our Challenger has opted for a rather unconventional tactic!”
“Is she even allowed to do that?” Sordward asked, his voice dripping with skepticism.
“Apparently so,” Shieldbert replied with a smirk.
The boy snaps out of his shock, “Hey!”
You offer a sheepish grin. “Sorry! Gotta do whatever it takes to rack up the points!”
His expression hardened, and his voice drops in determination. “Well then… Rolycoly, use Smack Down!”
The Rock-type Pokémon dove into the ground, hurling stones at Deino, who dodged with ease-only for the Vulpix to take the hit instead. Enraged, the fox pounces on Deino, Seizing the chaos, your opponent orders a Rock Blast, sending Rolycoly barreling toward the two Pokémon.
You quickly devise a plan. As Rolycoly approaches, Deino spins, pushing Vulpix into the oncoming rock. Both Pokémon were stunned, and you took the chance to toss a Poké Ball. It struck Vulpix perfectly, sealing her inside with a flash of stars as the victory bell rang.
Meanwhile, Rolycoly lay defeated nearby, With Vulpix captured (2 points) and Rolycoly technically defeated (1 point), you earned an impressive 3 points in mere minutes-halfway to facing Kabu.
“And Miss Johto lands a triple score on her first battle!”
“3 points down, 3 to go! Halfway there, Challenger!”
A broad smile spreads across your face, pumping a fist into the air, with Deino roaring triumphantly beside you. The opposing trainer, after recalling his Rolycoly, retrieved Vulpix’s Poké Ball and extends it toward you in a noble gesture.
“Are you sure you don’t want it?” he asks.
“Trust me,” you reply with a confident smile. “I don’t need one.”
Before he could respond, you turn and head toward the next patch of grass. Glancing at the scoreboard, you catch your name proudly displaying 3 points while his is crossed out. Two trainers remains, leaving you with a choice: target their Pokémon first or focus on the wild one, risking an interception.
This time, you didn’t hesitate. Ignoring your opponent entirely, you zero in on a Litwick hovering out of the grass. With Deino’s type advantage, the ghostly Pokémon was swiftly defeated, its waxy figure sinking into the ground. Wasting no time, you toss a Poké Ball and hear the bell chime again.
“And that’s another 2 points for our Challenger—she’s on a roll!”
The final test of the mission awaits: a fiery Sizzlipede with vibrant, flamboyant skin. Beside you, your last opponent—a girl with a fierce demeanor—attacked with no hesitation. Her Salandit darts across the terrain, spitting Embers at Deino.
Deino retaliates with a series of relentless Assurance, overwhelming the Salandit until it collapses in defeat. Turning his focus to the Sizzlipede, the Bug-Fire Pokémon gulps nervously, and within moments, Deino delivers the finishing blow. The bell chimes for the last time, signaling not just the end of the mission, but your triumph with an impressive total of 7 points—one more than the required 6.
“Clearing Leader Kabu’s Gym Mission like that…” Sordward murmurs with his signature composed tone.
“She’s not on a roll, Sordward…”
“She’s. On. Fire!” Shieldbert sang dramatically, his flair as flamboyant as ever.
You return your captured Pokémon to the referee, along with the four unused Poké Balls.
“Congratulations on clearing another mission!” Dan cheers, “Onward, Challenger!”
With his encouragement ringing in your ears, you ascended the staircase—the path to greatness.
The path to Kabu.
◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓
Even from the depths of the tunnel where you stood, the roar of the crowd was unmistakable, buzzing like a swarm of restless ants. Just weeks ago, the sheer energy would have made you falter, but those days were behind you. Slowly but surely, the confidence from your time as Alola’s Champion was returning. The rhythm of the Gym Challenge, with all its intensity, now felt familiar—like a part of you. If anything, you felt drawn to the pitch, an undeniable magnetic pull that seems to affirm what you’d always known deep down.
The will to fight was in your blood.
RotoCams zooms above the pitch, capturing live footage displayed on massive screens framing the crimson-cracked stage. Along the lower rows, enormous posters advertised Kabu's sponsors.
You take a deep breath, rocking on your heels to steady yourself as you adjust your fringe. Your first match had been nerve-wracking, your second even more so. But this one? This one would be something else entirely. Kabu’s a one of a kind opponent, a name with weight.
Nearly 15 years ago, he had almost conquered the Hoenn League. Something told you a man of his caliber hadn’t stopped pushing himself since.
“Greetings.”
You jump, startled by the sudden voice. Kabu himself stands beside you, his presence calm yet commanding. How had you not heard him approach?
Before you could respond, the stadium erupts into cheers as Shieldbert’s voice booms, announcing your name alongside Kabu’s.
With a resolute step, you propel yourself forward. Kabu was already jogging to his position on the field, his movements deliberate and unwavering.
As you take your place, he stands firmly in the center of the fiery-themed pitch, one hand resting over his heart in a solemn gesture. With his eyes closed, he radiated a serene yet unyielding strength.
“Welcome,” Kabu greets formally in Hoennese, which sounds no different from Johtoian. “I am Kabu, the Fire-Type Gym Leader.”
“Kabu, it’s an honor to meet you again,” you reply in Unovian, hoping he would pick up on your inability to converse fluently in Johtoian.
His foreign accent was unmistakable as he responds, his tone courteous.
“The honor is all mine,” he claps his hands behind his back. “The fact that you are here means you’ve bested both Milo’s Grass-types and Nessa’s Water-types. That,” he emphasizes with a nod, “is no small feat.”
It was no wonder so many admired Kabu. His demeanor balanced strength and discipline with a surprising gentleness that commanded respect.
“Every Trainer and Pokémon trains tirelessly in pursuit of victory,” Kabu continues, “But that also means your opponent is working just as hard, if not harder, to win. In the end, the match is decided by which side is able to unleash their true potential.”
He narrows his sharp eyes, the weight of his words lingering.
“Show me that potential.”
As heavy music blares through the stadium, you and Kabu retreat to your platforms. Kabu closes his eyes for a moment, appearing to block out the world around him. When they open, his piercing grey gaze locks directly onto yours, catching you slightly off guard. You steady yourself, just as committed to the battle ahead.
The Gym Leader stretches briefly before winding up like a baseball player and releasing his first Pokémon.
A dazzling light erupts, revealing a near-mythical creature with nine flowing tails. Ninetales lands gracefully on the field, drawing a roar of approval from the crowd. You knew this Pokémon by reputation alone and couldn’t help but think Kabu was starting a little too strong for your liking.
RotoCams circle above in synchronized patterns, capturing every moment. The pulsating electronic music stirs something primal within you, fueling your battle spirit. A pink glow lit up your Dynamax band, signaling it was charging. Across the field, Kabu’s band did the same, though he didn’t spare it a glance.
Taking a steady breath, you toss your choice into the fray. A brilliant flash of light reveals Croconaw, who lands on the field with a commanding roar.
“And our Challenger brings out a Water-type! But can it douse the flames of Kabu’s fire?”
“A wise… but rather predictable decision,” he comments, his tone neutral but laced with subtle challenge. “Let’s see if your training in the mines has paid off.”
A brief, sharp grin flickers across his otherwise stoic face as the battle begins.
You clench your fist, anticipation coursing through your veins.
“Ninetales, use Will-O-Wisp!”
The elegant fox let out a melodious cry, raising her tails high above her head. She conjured a swirling ring of ghostly purple flames and hurls it directly toward Croconaw.
“Croconaw, dodge!” you shout, motioning forward.
In a swift response, Croconaw unleashes a Water Gun, dissipating the eerie flames before they could reach him. Relief washes over you for a moment, but Kabu wasn’t done.
As Croconaw ended his attack, a faint ember that had gone unnoticed flickered to life. It crept forward with a will of its own, latching onto Croconaw and leaving a visible burn in its wake.
Kabu’s expression remains impassive, though you could sense the quiet pride radiating from him. This was no opponent to underestimate.
“A Water-type alone won’t save you,” His voice carries the weight of experience.
You purse your lips, realizing that the battle had barely begun and Croconaw, your key assets, was already in rough shape. You need to turn the tide quickly if you’re going to stand a chance.
That’s when a confident smile tugged at the corner of your lips. Under pressure, you always thought best—an instinct you inherited from your Champion mother.
“We’ll see about that.”
Without hesitation, Croconaw launches a full-force Rock Blast. The rocks pummels Ninetales one after another at lightning speed. The combination of the attack’s power and Ninetales’ type disadvantage quickly overpowers the fox, taking it down with ease. Kabu’s eyes widens briefly before he masking it with his usual composure.
“Incredible! Ninetales has been knocked out!” Shieldbert exclaims, squirming in his seat.
Without missing a beat, Kabu sends out his next Pokémon: an intimidating Arcanine, its fiery mane blazing with intensity. The heat of the battle seems to spike as you think through your next move.
Croconaw remains on the field, but the burn sapping its strength meant it wouldn’t last long against such a fierce opponent. Dartrix was no option, and while Deino might hold his own, the Arcanine’s speed could easily overwhelm him. You scramble to come up with a strategy—something to press forward without jeopardizing everything.
Then, out of the corner of your eye, you spot a Rotom zipping through the stadium toward you.
“Incoming sponsor!” it chirps in its high-pitched, mechanical voice.
A sealed parachute package floats down in front of you, landing neatly in your hands. Recognition dawns immediately—these were the sponsor gifts Chairman Rose mentioned in the updated Gym Challenge rules. With the stricter regulations banning on-field item use and store-bought remedies, sponsor gifts were now the only way trainers could receive outside help mid-battle.
And today, luck was on your side.
Catching the parachute with a firm grip, you quickly open the small box inside. Nestled within was a green bottle labeled Burn Heal. Relief floods through as you glance back at Croconaw, the flames of its burn condition still flickering faintly.
Attached to the bottle was a small note, its words printed neatly in elegant script:
For when the fire burns too bright—may this help extinguish the flame and guide you to victory. -G
You couldn’t help but smile at the timing, silently thanking Guzma for sending this, perhaps he knows he knows his ways with words after all.
Now, with renewed focus, you return your attention to the battle and lift the Burn Heal high, showing it to the referee for approval.
“Our first sponsor from our challenger coming in to save the day!” Sordward’s voice booms as the crowd erupts into cheers.
As Croconaw rushes back to your side, you spray it with Burn Heal, and the flames dissipate, restoring its strength. Croconaw lets out a determined cry, ready for the next round.
“All right, Croconaw,” you call. “Let’s take down that Arcanine!”
Kabu was quick to respond. “Arcanine, use Flare Blitz!”
The fiery beast charged, and you counter immediately. “Croconaw, Aqua Jet!”
The two Pokémon clashes with a powerful shockwave, their attacks meeting in a fierce struggle. Croconaw’s Aqua Jet fought against Arcanine’s Flare Blitz, but both were overwhelmed by the force. They stagger back before collapsing together, worn out. At least Croconaw had managed to bring Arcanine down with him.
“Both Pokémon are unable to battle!” Shieldbert clutches the mic. “It’s a Double knockout!”
The crowd cheers as you return Croconaw to its Pokéball, praising it for its effort. You glance at Kabu, your determination unwavering—this battle is far from over.
In Kabu’s eyes, your expression reminded him of his younger mentor from many, many years ago. But as he had taught himself, a true warrior never lost composure. Calmly, he speaks, the breeze gently tousling his greying hair.
“Not bad. Not bad at all,” he compliments. “But I’m not done yet. Light that fire and get your mind moving, Kabu! There’s still a path to victory!”
Then, the moment you’ve been dreading arrived. With a determined gleam in Kabu’s eyes, he reaches for his Hyper Ball and summons his final Pokemon. In a burst of light, Centiskorch appears—its fiery, armored body shimmering under the stadium lights. The creature rose, its many legs moving with unnerving precision. The flames across its face burned brightly, matching its cold, calculating gaze.
Your throat went dry. This was it—the final test.
No more sponsor gifts. No more tricks. Your trump card was already used, and you knew Kabu would Gigantamax Centiskorch, leaving no room for recovery.
Your options dwindles down to one.
“I believe our challenger may be out of usable Pokémon!” Shieldbert’s voice rang out across the stadium. “I believe Miss Johto’s journey ends here...”
You glance at your belt once more. Three options stood before you: Dartrix, Deino…
And Houndoom.
The thought weighed heavily. Revealing Houndoom could jeopardize everything you had worked to keep hidden. But as your eyes trails over the expectant faces in the crowd and the fiery battlefield ahead, something deep within you stirs.
Hope transforms into determination—an unstoppable, burning passion for the battle ahead. It coursed through you, igniting your spirit and steadying your body. Your muscles tenses, your heartbeat steadies, and your vision sharpens. The stakes were high, but for your home, your region, you would risk it all.
The crowd falls silent as they witness the change in your expression, the flicker of fire in your eyes now mirroring the one in Kabu’s. Even Kabu faltered, his composure slipping as he meets your gaze. For the first time, the veteran Gym Leader saw it—the eyes of someone who would not yield.
With a flourish, you pluck Houndoom’s Pokéball from your belt and throw it onto the pitch.
The sleek black Pokémon materializes, landing gracefully on all fours. Without hesitation, Houndoom lifts his head and lets out a haunting howl that echoes across the stadium. Its crimson eyes lock onto Centiskorch, burning with an intensity that rivals the flames of the battlefield.
“Burn brighter than ever before, Centiskorch! Gigantamax and unleash your full power!”
The stadium erupts into a deafening roar as a vivid pink aura ignites around the ball in Kabu’s hand. With a fiery glint in his eyes, he launches it forward with a powerful throw. In an instant, Centiskorch begins to grow at an alarming pace, its form expanding as its flames surge into massive, unrelenting infernos. Now towering over the battlefield, an overwhelming presence—a searing wall of heat and fury that made the air itself tremble.
The pink energy travels up your forearm until it reaches Houndoom’s Pokéball, which had already recalled him. Now, accustomed to the sheer weight of it, you spin around and throw it behind you, getting increasingly better at handling Dynamaxing . In turn, Houndoom grows in size until he reaches the ceiling and crash-landed in a low pitched howl.
“Flames always burn upwards, and so we aim to rise higher. You understand, don’t you?”
Without hesitation, Kabu orders a G-Max Move from Centiskorch—one you had never faced before. The Pokémon coils and begins to glow so brightly that you have to shield your eyes.
“We can’t see a damn thing!” Shieldbert exclaims, along with everyone else, covering their eyes.
But not Kabu—his iron will kept him grounded. You felt the heat intensifying in the stadium even before the attack launched. A massive fireball forms rapidly and shoots toward Houndoom. With one hand still shielding your eyes, you shout:
“Counter with Max Darkness!”
Houndoom complied, and a wave of darkness engulfed the attack, exploding and sending bursts of fire raining down. If not for the protective barriers set by Macro Cosmos, you’d all be cooked by now.
“Houndoom shot down the G-Max Move!” Shieldbert exclaims, voicing everyone’s thoughts.
Kabu pales at the sight, leaving him to temporarily cease his onslaught.
To say that the audience was on fire was an understatement, no, it was ablaze! People rise from their seats, shouting and carrying your name across the stadium. You didn't hesitate on the command for the next instant you shout:
- “Max Strike!”
Houndoom let out a thunderous roar, the sheer force of his power causing the stadium floor to crack beneath him before he unleashed a blinding surge of energy through Centiskortch, bringing your fiery battle to its victorious end.
And for the first time in his career, Kabu takes a step back, his hand raising to his hips and genuine surprise expressing in his features.
A thunderous cry erupts, louder and more powerful than anything you had ever heard, shaking the ground beneath your feet. Kabu dropped to his knees, accepting defeat.
Houndoom had begun to shrink back to his normal size, as had Centiskorch, whose massive form collapsed in defeat after the final blow. The once-mighty fiery serpent lay motionless, its Gigantamax energy fully expended.
Houndoom returns to his normal size, he begins pacing the stadium, his movements erratic with adrenaline, feeding off the adoration of the public.
Overwhelmed, you leapt into the air, shouting your partner’s name at the top of your lungs.
Finally, he sprints toward you, throwing himself into your arms. You cling to him, burying your face into his fur as tears stream freely. Sensing your emotions, Houndoom pulls back slightly and begins licking your face, chasing away your tears. Laughter bubbles up from your chest, laughter he hadn’t heard from you in so long.
Meanwhile, Shieldbert, who would’ve been thrilled at the sight, had fainted in sheer excitement, now being tended to by paramedics as cameras swarmed the scene.
You flash a triumphant smile at the photographers, waving briefly as Houndoom pants happily by your side, his eyes bright and from the rush of battle. It was clear he’d missed this—missed the exhilaration of combat and the bond forged in the heat of it.
When the moment comes to claim your prize, you and Houndoom approach Kabu. The Gym Leader stands tall once more, his expression one of respect and admiration.
“Great Pokémon, and an even greater Trainer,” he said warmly. “It’s no surprise you won, especially with such a strong Pokémon from your home region.”
Pride swells within you at his words. To earn Kabu’s respect meant more than you could express.
“I’m often regarded as the first true obstacle of the Gym Challenge,” he continues, “and yet you overcame me with such precision…”
You quickly wave your hands, shaking your head. “Please, Kabu, don’t sell yourself short. That was a tough battle.”
A small smile spreads across his face before continuing.
“Your technique, wit, and skill are truly impressive. I’ll be watching your future battles closely,” he said firmly, “Do not let the people of your home region down.”
“I won’t,” you promised, your voice steady with determination.
Kabu nods approvingly, then turns his gaze to Houndoom, who sits tall and proud by your side. His expression softens as he addresses your fiery partner.
Kabu kneels slightly, bringing himself to Houndoom’s level. The fire-type Pokémon meets his gaze, his tail flicking back and forth, still charged with energy from the battle.
“You fought with honor, strength, and loyalty,” Kabu’s voice resonates with sincerity. “You’re a testament to your trainer’s spirit. I hope to see you continue blazing that trail together.”
Houndoom barks of approval, puffing out his chest with pride, he glances back at you, his eyes brimming with the same unspoken trust you’d relied on throughout the battle.
Kabu stands, brushing dust off his uniform, before retreating the badge, gleaming between his fingers.
“This is yours,” Kabu extends it toward you. “You’ve earned it.”
You reach out, your fingers brushing the cool metal before you hold it firmly in your grasp. The crowd erupts in cheers, and the weight of the badge felt like so much more than its physical mass.
“Thank you,” you bow slightly to Kabu out of respect.
As you stood upright, Kabu’s voice lowered, so only you could hear. “I’ve faced many trainers, but there’s something about you… a drive, a fire that isn’t easily extinguished. Whatever your reason for taking this journey, hold onto it. That fire will carry you far.”
His words hang in the air as you step back, your heart steady yet pounding. Tears prick at the corners of your eyes, and with no other gesture that could truly convey the depth of your respect for the man, you lower yourself into a dignified bow.
◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓
After a quick trip to the changing rooms and a refreshing shower, you find yourself getting dressed once more. Houndoom sits patiently by the benches, his amber eyes glinting with an odd sense of relief—a sentiment you shared after finally triumphing over the Man of Fire.
“Houndoom…”
His ears twitched, and his gaze shifts toward you. A faint smile tugs at your lips as you sink down beside him, leaning forward until your forehead rests gently against his.
“One step,”
His eyes narrowed slightly, his expression thoughtful, as though he understood.
“We’re one step closer to our goal.”
His gaze darkens, the weight of your words sinking in—a promise to put an end to Team Rocket once and for all.
Finally, back in the lobby with Houndoom safely resting in his Pokéball, Dan, the referee, approaches with a neatly wrapped package in his arms.
“Challenger Danielle,” Dan announces, his voice steady and formal, “you’ve done an excellent job earning Gym Badges from the Grass, Water, and Fire Gyms. Please accept these as tokens of your accomplishment.”
The TM glints faintly in the light: Will-O-Wisp, along with the Fire Gym uniform folded carefully with your numbers on the back.
“You’ve demonstrated exceptional skill and are now ready to take on the challenges that await you, starting with the next Gym in Hammerlocke City.”
Hammerlocke. Just hearing the name sends a ripple through your chest.
“However, all challengers must reach Hammerlocke through the Wild Area. The journey should take no longer than a day. Best of luck to you.” With that, he turns and exits, leaving you to process your next steps.
But familiar voices broke through your thoughts.
“Nice work!” Hop cheers, a wide grin stretches across his face.
“You were amazing, Dani!” Lyz exclaims, her excitement practically bubbling over.
Bracing yourself for potential scolding from Guzma, you were instead met with something unexpected…
A rare, genuine smile.
He steps forward, draping an arm around your shoulder and leaning in to whisper softly,
“Our Champion is back.”
◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓
You follow the three out of the stadium as Hop and Lyz continue to rave about your victory over Kabu. The sunlight blinds you for a fleeting moment as you step outside. It was still afternoon, and you had so much to do for the rest of your journey. This victory was just simply one of many.
You head out on a shopping spree with Guzma, leaving Hop and Lyz to explore the city on their own and indulge in their own shopping adventures.
After all, you had your own errands to take care of.
“You sure about switching to this?” Guzma asks, gesturing to the bag in his hand as the two of you exit the store.
You nod. “The dye’s starting to fade faster than usual, like it’s resisting it,” you said with a slight smile. Running a hand through your hair, you motion to the roots beginning to show. “But maybe that’s for the best. My hair’s part of who I am, and it’s about time I stop hiding behind the color.”
◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓◓
And now with your stomach full, your heart rested, and your belongings collected, you all leave the Budew Drop Inn and head for the Wild Area.
“Danielle…”
In all his grandeur, Kabu approaches, still clad in his Leader attire. You’d expect to be just another Challenger to him, but clearly, defeating the Man of Fire was no small feat.
“Guzma, Hop, Ayla,” he greets, nodding to each of them in turn.
You bowed respectfully, prompting the others to follow suit before you speak of his unexpected appearance.
“There are many trainers who never manage to collect three badges,” Kabu begins, his tone steady yet warm. “I make it a point to personally see off any who succeed in defeating me. And I couldn’t let any of you leave just yet.”
“Awesome!” Hop exclaims, his excitement lighting up his face. “Bet you can already tell which one of us is gonna be the Champion, huh?”
Kabu’s gaze shifts, his eyes meeting yours with an intensity that makes your stomach twist.
“Yes.” he said calmly. “I can,”
Before Hop could press for clarification, the arrival of a Corvi-Taxi steals everyone’s attention. The massive bird lands gracefully, and from the taxi steps Milo, Nessa, and a hooded figure with a face mask.
Your heart skipped a beat as you spot the unmistakable eyes of the Champion, dressed casually in a hoodie and sweats, though a telltale streak of purple peeked from beneath the sides of his hood.
Leon.
The trio hurries over, Milo smiling as he catches his breath. “Like Kabu, we enjoy sending off Trainers lucky enough to make it this far. It’s a privilege to see such determination up close.”
Nessa nods, her enthusiasm mirroring Milo’s. “We wouldn’t miss the chance to wish you luck!”
And then Leon.
Pulling his mask down, he offers a small, knowing smile, his presence somehow more magnetic than any words he could say.
Hop, on the other hand, lit up like a Christmas tree.
“Leon!” Hop exclaims, nearly jumping in place. “What are you doing here? Aren’t you busy with Champion stuff?”
Leon laughs, a rich sound that warms the cool evening air. “I figured I’d take a little break and catch up with all of you!”
Your face reddens at Leon’s brief glance, but before any of you could say a word, Kabu takes charge.
“Allow us to send you off with a proper, sporty chant!” Kabu declares, stepping forward with a firm stance. Drawing in a deep breath, he shouts:
“Hustle, Hustle, Hustle, Hop!”
Milo cups his hands around his mouth, cheering, “You can do it, you can do it, Ayla!”
Nessa waves her arms enthusiastically, her voice ringing out: “Go, Go, Guzma!”
Leon, ever the showman, strucks his iconic Charizard pose, His voice booming with energy:
“Dare, Dream, Dominate, Danielle!”
You all erupt into laughter at the cheesy yet heartfelt chants. Kabu, his usual serious demeanor softens, raising a hand in farewell.
“I believe in all of you! Trust in your Pokémon and keep moving forward!” he said firmly, his words a final encouragement as he sends you off on the next chapter of your journey.
