I genuinely cannot fucking handle how upset these two get about having their fights interrupted. This is definitely normal behavior from two people who want nothing to do with each other and don't find any kind of social fulfillment in their repeated attempts to annihilate each other

Also Dib introducing himself as Zim's sworn enemy. 'The first thing you need to know.' he literally could not be more transparently embarrassing about this if he tried.

I think it’s both funny and wholesome that Chammy Wamboo, a character that was meant to make fun of ZaDr and ZaDf fans, ended up becoming a fan favorite in the ZaDr/ZaDf community.

I have probably already written a post like this before but it has most likely been lost to the broken tumblr search abyss, so;

Chammy Wamboo sequel story where she comes back and uses her Eldrich Friendship Powers to force Zim and Dib to be friends since they refused to cooperate the first time around.

At first they find that being friends actually makes them happy and they start to think maybe Chammy was right all along. But it becomes a problem when the friendship puts them in conflict with their ambitions. Zim still wants to conquer the earth and impress his Tallest, and fears that there will be consequences if he doesn't, but finds himself unable to pull the trigger on his latest evil scheme because he doesn't want to hurt or betray Dib. Dib meanwhile, still wants to be vindicated for identifying Zim as an alien, but can't expose him without ruining his life, so he's in the same position.

Ultimately, befitting their nature as Tragic Characters, they choose their ambitions over each other. They decide to use the friendship Chammy forced on them to unite them in the cause of bringing her down to undo the spell she has them under, relieving them of their feelings for each other and bringing an end to their respective dilemmas. They both claim to be happy to go back to having an uncomplicated rivalry. But of course, they can never go back. No matter how much they insist they feel nothing but disdain for one another, part of them will always miss the time they were friends and wonder if it was a mistake to throw it away in pursuit of approval from people who will never give it to them.

Sometime later they do eventually realize that Chammy was right. Her mistake was just trying to force the issue before they were ready. They needed to come to accept that their respective pursuits toward what they thought would bring them happiness were futile and give them up on their own before they could appreciate the true value of the friendship Chammy wanted them to have.
