Charlie visits Alex at a college party and they enjoy themselves.

Charlex Week 2020 - Day 1: Football Team/Sports

„Hey, Saint George! Quit flirting with your boyfriend. The game is about to start!“, he hears one of his teammates yell in his general direction while the rest of them close by start snickering. In answer to his teammate’s teasing Charlie only flips the bird in their general direction with the hand holding his helmet without ever taking his eyes of his boyfriend standing right in front of him. 

It has been two weeks since he’s last seen Alex in person and he’s going to enjoy every single damn second of seeing him again. Even if he has to put up with some of his teammates good-natured teasing for it. So when he leans in for what he swears to himself is going to be one final kiss before the game is due to start and Alex will go find his place up in the stands with their parents, he isn’t surprised to hear their cat-calls and hollering from a few feet away.

He pulls back from the kiss after a few seconds, but he stays close without opening his eyes yet. Not wanting to break the spell just yet, he leans his forehead against Alex‘ and moves his free hand from the side of his neck to the back of his head.

„I really missed you.“, he admits in a whisper he hopes Alex will catch over the Pre-game roar from the bleachers. He feels Alex hand tighten on his waist for a second, letting him know that he did in fact hear, before he’s answering in a teasing tone. „You’ve seen me plenty. I’ve never used face time in my life before leaving for college and now it’s apparently the most used app on my phone. So I’m actually surprised you’re not sick of me yet.“

He opens his eyes and moves his hand back to Alex cheek, holding Alex eye’s before stating empathetically: „Never.“ Alex scoffs, so Charlie starts stroking his cheek. „Hey, I mean it. I’m never going to get sick of seeing you.“ He holds his eyes for a few seconds, before Alex rolls his eyes, fondly, murmuring „Whatever…“ But the slight upturn of his mouth betrays him. And Charlie will take that as a win for now. 

„I really missed you too.“, he admits after a few seconds with a private smile and Charlie is completely gone on this boy again. He still treasures every small admission of affection. Alex has become more open with them over the months they’ve been dating but every single one still feels like a gift to him.

„I know you probably don’t want to hear this, but I’m really glad you forgot your jacket at your parent‘s house. I love seeing you in this.“, he adds the last part in a whisper and he can feel the involuntary shiver it causes because he’s still caressing Alex‘ cheek. Alex immediately looks down though, probably to hide the small blush now covering his cheeks and the small smile threatening to take over his lips. The gesture makes Charlie drop his hand down to his waist, but not before smoothing his hands down Alex chest currently covered in his own letterman jacket. When Alex looks up again after composing himself for a few seconds it’s with an amused but unimpressed look on his face: „Well, don’t get used to it, cave man.“

Charlie starts chuckling at that and moves in to give Alex one last peck, which he gladly returns while smoothing down Charlie‘s helmet hair for a second before moving his hands to his chest. Giving him a light, playful shove in the direction of the field. „Now go, or they will probably ban you from ever inviting me to a game again.“, Alex says in a mocking tone, making Charlie chuckle again and take a few steps backwards towards the field without taking his eyes of Alex who is still standing where Charlie just left him.

Just seeing him here, even though he’s not a fan of football makes Charlie’s heart feel full again and with a wide smile on his face he mouths ‚I love you.‘ towards Alex, who at that starts smiling back despite himself. He looks around for a second, but no one seems to pay them any attention. And after looking back at Charlie, he whispers, “I love you, too.” Charlie who started slowing down on his way over to his team mates at that starts grinning like he already won the game. 

Alex shakes his head and rolls his eyes for good measure at his boyfriends antics before finally making off towards the stairs leading up to the stands after a small last wave indicating for Charlie to finally join his team mates.

Charlie stays rooted to his spot and watches him go for a second longer. Still grinning like a fool, he finally makes his way over to join his teammates for a lot of teasing he endures good-naturedly and their final chant before finally starting the game.

“So st.George I heard you kissed Standall.” said Luke “Er uh maybe” Charlie stammered while blushing. “Well man what’s the deal you like him ?” Diego asks “Guys can we maybe talk about something else?” Charlie said sheepishly. “Oh shit dude you like him don’t you “ Luke said. “Alright fine I like Alex. Charlie sighs. All the football guys cheered “Charlie listen to your uncle Luke and you’ll get laid” “so first you’re gonna wanna ask him out then stand him up until the last minute and then yo-“ “Charlie don’t do that” Diego interjected “You do and he’ll never talk to you again.” “I know it sounds real fucking cheesy man but be yourself and wait for the right moment.” said Diego “Thanks Diego that’s actually not bad advice.” Charlie beamed.

Announcing: Chalex Week 2020!

Let’s be real here, we’ve all had things to say about 13 Reasons Why for one reason or another. Still, for all the controversy that has surrounded the show ever since it first dropped back in 2017, they definitely have delivered some gems over the years. One of them is the relationship between Alex Standall and Charlie St. George. 

In the spirit of celebrating this adorable couple, we’d like to invite fans and creators to participate in the upcoming CHALEX WEEK 2020!

Wait, what? Yes, you read that right. 

When?? Chalex Week will kickstart on the 27th of July and end on the 2nd of August. 

How do I participate? Are cookies involved?? We’ve compiled an extensive list of themes for the fandom to vote on. You can vote for 6, and the themes with the most votes will be used during the week--day 7 will be free, so surprise us!

You can vote HERE.

The last day to vote will be Tuesday, the 21st of July. 

Themes will be announced the day after: Wednesday, the 22nd of July. So don’t forget to check back!

Once the themes are announced, we welcome all creators in the fandom to participate. Whether it’s fanfiction, fanart, edits, videos, moodboards, a cookie recipe even, the possibilities are endless and we’d love to see it.
