First Nations leaders in Manitoba say the federal government is failing to provide communities with vital funding and resources through Jordan's Principle, leading to an escalating crisis affecting children.  Jordan's Principle is named after Jordan River Anderson, a five-year-old Norway House Cree Nation boy who died in 2005 in the midst of a two-year battle between Manitoba and Ottawa over who would pay for his care. In 2007, the House of Commons adopted the principle in the five-year-old's name. Ottawa launched the Jordan's Principle program in 2016 to compensate qualifying families for their children's health and therapeutic services. But the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs said in a statement that Indigenous Services Canada has "centralized decision-making in Ottawa, bypassing First Nations leadership" on Jordan's Principle funding.

My name is Ahmed Bakr, a Palestinian. I live in the Gaza Strip. My least wish is to save my wife and children (Neven, Khaled, Joan, Aida, and Musk) from certain death. I write these words and ask for your help. I do not know whether we will be able to survive. This is my last message to you as a human being and the story of my life and my family since the beginning of the war. My son (Khaled) is his age. (8) years old and suffers from enlarged liver diseases, infections, and anemia from contaminated food and water. We are unable to treat him, buy medicine for him, hold a baby no more than two months old, and I am unable to provide her with milk, pampers, or even supplies for small children. My children need food and treatment. We are deprived of the food we love. Our mental health is deteriorating and very destructive, and we need hygiene supplies in the tents. I was displaced from my home from the north to the south, to Khan Yunis, then to Rafah, and then to Nuseirat. I was injured by an occupation sniper while searching for a living for my children. I endured carrying water, searching for wood to light the fire, and bringing food for my children because there was no gas for long distances. Long, all day long, surrounded by devastation, bloody missiles and shattering shrapnel. We endured constant fear day and night for a whole year without any peace or comfort. I do not know where to take my children. Our lives are very painful and difficult, and every time we miraculously escape death, I want to help everyone who can help us, those with compassionate hearts. We live in the heat of tents and under the blazing sun. My house was completely demolished after years of effort and fatigue and building our house. Then, one night and one day, everything disappeared and my children’s room was completely burned and demolished. Even our car was not spared from the bombing, as we had all the wonderful means and tools. For the sake of a decent life, we started roasting our food over the fire despite the fatigue and heat. We are still standing despite the bombing, hunger, and severe shortages. We need your help. At this Save My Children event, we invite you to share our story with your friends and families with clarity and support. As I mentioned on stream yesterday, I've been invited to join Gamers Outreach's VTuber Summer Slam, raising money for bringing games to kids in hospitals. I'll be streaming with BriedyBard on June 26th at 5pm EDT as we play some Archipelago. It'll be my first time doing Mario 64 Randomizer, and moves WILL BE RANDOMIZED.

And similar to crowd control, your donations can be used to mess with me! Make me have to play 1 handed. Force me to have to change which star I'm going after. Make me change the stage I'm in. FORCE ME TO RETURN TO THE TITLE SCREEN!

I'll also be scheduling some bonus streams later of various levels of pain based on how much we raise.

If we raise $50, I'll do a cheap crowd control stream of Zelda: Link to the Past Randomizer. And by cheap, I mean every effect will start off costing 10 coins (though it will increase with repeated use, and then take some time to cool back down to costing 10 coins). But you'll also still get the usual 200 free coins every 30 minutes. (I expect I'll never know what button does what).

At $100, I'll schedule a Curse Crackers 100% Speedrun. I have not tried this category before, but this will end up being a minimum of a 5 hour single segment run where I have to get every rose and every medal in the game. (Spark bracelet save me...)

And at $200 and beyond, I will be doing a 4 hour stream of nothing but Mentor Roulette in Final Fantasy XIV. For those unfamiliar, Mentor roulette can queue for almost ANYTHING in the game (except for Savage fights). So I have no idea what I might be dropped into. But... there is a good chance I'll get A TON of ARR Extreme Trials. And every $50 beyond $200 will add an extra hour onto the stream! (...it may need to be split into multiple streams if you all go insane with the donations)
