November 3, 2019 “Love Potion “ Day three of my #huevember2019 challenge! I’m following my own prompt list based on @kuretakejapan ‘s #kuretakegansaitambiwatercolors !! I approached this prompt wanting to show the unethical nature of love potions and other forms of emotional manipulation. It’s easy to make someone dependent on you and chain them to you, to take their free will captive, but it’s an ugly act- blackening your heart and ultimately driving them away. A lot of personal experiences inspired this, but none more than a very close friend growing uncomfortable with me to the point that he didn’t feel safe in my presence and left my life today after accusing me of being manipulative. I’m still struggling after this but- I’m okay. There are things in life you can’t fix, and trying would just make them worse, and it’s okay to be sad about them- but not to try to twist the situation to your benefit.
