Tumblr media
Trigger Warnings; child abandonment, orphans, implied ableism, resentment, implied depression, attempted suicide,  sick children, etc.  Chad is implied to be Neurodivergent.
🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴
“Day and night my mind is running,
Reaching out ‘cause I want something more
 that I’ve never had before.”
Chad’s earliest years consisted of a loneliness that he had never been able to explain to anyone in his later ones. Because the type of loneliness he had faced was the kind only others like him could face.
He had been left on the doorstep of Auradon’s Orphanage when he was barely an hour old.
Already abandoned 60 minutes into his life.
And that was a pain nobody who hadn’t experienced it for themselves could properly understand.
“I’m scared to chase what I’ve been dreaming,
Beyond a want and now I need it.
Push me by surprise,
So I can take the dive.”
Chad had spent the first six years of his life alone in all the ways that mattered. Alone despite the fact that he was surrounded by dozens of other children just like him and the people who were paid to take care of them.
Alone because his biological parents hadn’t wanted him.
Alone because no one from previous interviews had wanted him.
Because he was born different—born ‘wrong’ according to those who surrounded him.
And because of that, he was alone.
“Day and night my mind is racing,
Dents and foot prints I've been pacing
What am I supposed to find?”
Chad had thought that he was gonna be alone forever at six years old.
He had thought that he was never gonna be wanted.
Until they showed up.
Princess Cinderella and Prince Kit Charming.
And they chose him.
“My god I'm the bait and the predator's my mind,
It eats at me all the time.
Can we stop and rewind.”
Chad had thought they had truly wanted him. Like his grandfather did.
He had thought they were telling the truth.
That they had loved him more than anything.
He had truly believed it more than anything in the world—more than he had believed anything else before.
“I'm not so sure.”
Even when his mind had told him otherwise.
He believed they wouldn’t abandon him.
He had believed that his grandfather would stay with him forever.
He had believed that his friends—Ben, Audrey, Lonnie, Doug, and Jane— would never forget and leave him.
Even when his sickly little sister, Chloe, was born.
He had believed.
“When'd I become my own enemy
I don't understand what you see in me
'Cause I'm just another story
(That's not worth a reading)
Now you've got me pinned up against the wall
Why aren't you afraid that I'll take a fall?
There's more that came before me
(Am I worth believing?)”
Chad had been wrong to believe.
His grandfather died.
His parents slowly started to forget him due to their work and his little sister who they feared wouldn’t make it.
And his friends outgrew him like he always feared they would.
Because he wasn’t worth remembering as he was.
And he slowly, slowly became his own enemy.
Like the other unwanted children before him had.
Not even aware that he was one. Doing what he thought would get him everything back. Unsure himself and of Audrey, who he wanted so desperately to stay. Even though he knew that she wasn’t what he remembered. Even though he was sure he wasn’t the boy his grandfather used to read to.
“I'm not so sure.”
Chad grew more and more unsure of himself.
And even more unsure of Audrey.
Because she was growing bitter too. Bitter as her cousin’s taunts hit closer and closer to home. Bitter as her mother was away for her show. Bitter as her father worked on running two kingdoms because her grandmother wanted to make her into the perfect princess, regardless of what she herself had wanted.
He could tell. He could see it. He could feel it whenever she stared at him with cold eyes that had once held a warmth that could rival the sun’s.
A warmth that faded over the years until it was destroyed by the news that Maleficent’s daughter would be coming to Auradon.
Chad couldn’t blame her for being angry.
Not when he had been angry ever since his grandfather died.
“Eye to eye our worlds collided
Ear to ear you kept me smiling
Kept me happy kept me grounded
Before I flew away.”
His grandfather who had kept him grounded after his sister was born wrong in a way worse than he was.
His grandfather who had loved him more than anything and whose death had shattered who he used to be.
The grandfather he would never stop missing. No matter how many years passed.
“And I felt it breaking
Then you came around
In this world of white noise you're my favorite sound.”
He kept shattering over the years, into smaller and smaller pieces. Wondering why he had been born so wrong. Wondering what was so wrong with him that he hadn’t been  wanted even as a tiny baby.
What could a baby had done to cause it to be unwanted?
Chad never could quite figure it out.
Though he knew now why he wasn’t wanted, even by the person who he knew he couldn’t live without.
He was everything Ben wasn’t. Everything his parents hadn’t wanted.
He wasn’t unwaveringly sweet and loving like Ben. He didn’t have good grades and a good brain. He wasn’t good at watching his mouth or his temper. He wasn’t good at anything other than sports, driving, and looking good, He wasn’t what Audrey wanted.
He wasn’t the person his adoptive family had wanted him to be.
And he wasn’t fit to be a king no matter how badly he wanted to be.
“We brave and broken fewer
Three cheers to fear the future
We brave and broken fewer
Three cheers to fear the future.”
He feared the future more and more as the days went on.
He feared that he didn’t deserve one.
That he didn’t really want one.
He knew he wasn’t a good person.
That he hadn’t been in a very long time. And he hated himself for it more than he had ever hated anything in his life. More than he had ever hated his biological parents for leaving him to fend for himself at 60 minutes old. More than he had ever hated Chloe for taking the parents who had once wanted him away. More than he hated his grandfather for defending his parents and sister every time he was forgotten.
More than he hated his friends for being everything he wasn’t.
It was really no wonder that no one had wanted him.
“When'd I become my own enemy
I don't understand what you see in me
'Cause I'm just another story
(That's not worth a reading)
Now you've got me pinned up against the wall
Why aren't you afraid that I'll take a fall?
There's more that came before me
(Am I worth believing?)”
No one but Gil that is.
Gil who had talked to him when he saw him trying to drown himself.
Gil who was smarter than people gave him credit for.
Gil who took him home and piled blankets upon him, still talking.
Gil who saw him and liked him in a way no one ever had.
Gil who’s friends also liked him after a while.
Gil who fixed his friendship with Audrey.
Gil who believed in him when no one else did.
“I'm not so sure.”
Even when he himself didn’t.
Even when he wasn’t sure that he didn’t have anything to fight for.
Chad wasn’t sure what he would have done without Gil and his friends, and he never wanted to know. Not when he was finally happy again.

His life has been nothing but pain, always feeling out of place and never in sync with his people and "friends", and once he became an exile, he really felt like there was nothing left for him in this life. That was until he met the God that would give meaning to his existence, and become his reason to fight. "Shiro", now Ichtalcoatl's warrior, feels like everything he has endured was for this moment, and he wouldn't exchange it for anything.
Except, all evil happens for a reason, and there are many truths to be uncovered from Shiro's past, giving meaning to this eternal karma and the never-ending cycle of pain. This is the tale of the final trial Shiro must endure to be worthy of the Sun itself.

Ichigo is special, he's always been. From the moment he managed to become a Soul reaper, to when he obtained unlikely powers and achieved inhuman deeds, he's always had that natural talent to go beyond the limits. However, his true strength lies not in his latent abilities, but in the charm he wasn't even aware he had. His ultimate power was not his bankai, nor his hollowfication; it was his power to move people's hearts, sway them towards him, and somehow make those who wanted to kill him become his most loyal allies. Or, instead of merely befriending everyone he fought, Ichigo unknowingly builds an army of people who will die for him and change destiny itself in order to protect their one, true king.

Main Pairings: None / Undecided
Additional Warnings: Teacher AU, DID, Alternating POVs, Supernatural Elements, No Shinigami AU
Ichigo moves to Karakura after an abrupt shift in career. There, he meets faces both familiar (his friend Chad is teaching music) and not (he doesn’t know what’s up with that Urahara guy but for a maths teacher he's not that bad). As the newest teacher in the school, and the least experienced at it, Ichigo decides not to make waves and to let himself fade into the background. Unfortunately, his friendship with the maths teacher seems to drag him into plots that are far outside of anything he’s ever known.
NOTE: I'm really flexible as far as the plot goes and willing to work with the artist if there are any particular elements they'd like to incorporate

The group had settled on blankets by the bay as the fireworks went off in the distance, the booms, cracks, and sparkles of them could be heard clearly. As they all watched, they got close to each other and kept warm on their shared blankets, friends, or couples, they didn’t care. Grimmjow and Ichigo, Chad and Orihime, Renji and Rukia, Mizuiro and Keigo shared their blankets as pairs, but Uryuu and Tatsuki had their own little spots on their blankets.
They had traveled to America for the school year as transfer students in South Texas and this was the first time that they had seen fireworks like this outside of the tv, and they were the best experience that they have had since being there, thus far. Grimmjow, Keigo, Rukia, and Renji were off in the distance cheering while their partners and friends smiled and watched them as the finale of the fireworks were going off on the boardwalk.
After the fireworks ended, they all picked up their blankets and bags of used small sparklers and party poppers that they had bought beforehand from the Kroger that was close to their host parents’ houses the day before.

A Tale as Old as Time? Pt 4
Yep, got this part done early! I’m very proud of myself!
Anyways, enjoy!
Warning: mentions of self harm, death, mentions of possible suicide.
~~~~~~3rd person POV~~~~~~~~~~
Two weeks ago Luna was brought back to the school. Two weeks and she stabilized but hasn't woken up.
Harry was told that she was in a coma. He was devastated, he spent three days locked up in their room with Gil and Uma being the only two people allowed to enter, (well and Chad). By day four he was starting to revert back into his old thieving days. He was threatening people and pick pocketing others.
Not even Gil and Uma were doing that anymore. Two weeks before Harry got new information on Luna.
"What?!?" He all but growled.
"Her soul isn't in her body. But she's not dead. Her soul has been captured. It appears that the branding on her back was enchanted with a spell that activated once the original spell disappeared." The head nurse explained.
Harry walked over to Luna's bedside. She looked more like sleeping beauty, with the harry hook plush in her arms. He gently moved a strand of her hair out of her eyes.
"Don't worry Love. I'll bring you back." Harry whispered, kissing her forehead before he grabbed his hook and headed to his room.
Changing his outfit, Gil noticed all the fresh cuts. "You know, Luna isn't going to be too happy when she sees what you've been doing to yourself." Gil stated from his bed.
"I will worry about that after I get her soul back. Come on. Your comin too, we gotta go get the girls." Harry stated changing into his pirate's garb.
Mal, Ben, Gil, Uma, Harry, Evie, Jay, and Carlos all made their way towards the Isle. Stopping at the Auradon side of the bridge.
"Hold up. I'm gunna do a Dragon-fly over." Mal stated before purple smoke surrounded her as she transformed into a dragon.
She took off flying over the Isle. After 10 minutes of flying she detransformed and landed in Ben's arms.
"I saw him. But that's not possible." Mal stated once on her feet.
"No it is. That man was stubborn, is stubborn. I'm going to make sure he stays dead this time." Harry stated, running the inner curve of his hook along his sword's blade.
"Let's go then. We don't have time to waste. We need to get Luna's soul back." Mal stated as the group headed down the bridge towards the Isle.
Harry clenched his hook, pissed at his father for many reasons. Hurting Luna, kidnapping her, surviving, and kidnapping her soul. He was going to make sure his father stayed dead this time, no matter what.
Uma frowned at Harry. Hoarry, you ok? You better not do anything reckless. I don't wanna be the one to tell Luna that you died getting her soul back from your father." Uma stated, seriousness in her voice. "I know you've been 'playing' with the tip of your hook but I don't want to be the one that has to deal with the side effects of you dying."
Harry nodded as they got to the tunnel. "Everyone ready?"
Everyone nodded, and thus the group headed through the tunnel that lead to the dock where the Jolly Roger sat.
Once the teens exited the tunnel, a maniacal laughter sounded throughout the dock.
"WeLcOmE yOuNg OnEs~~~!" A maniacal voice stated.
Everyone turned their heads towards the abandoned ship. Stepping into view was Captain Hook, but his hair was a disaster, his clothes disheveled, and he held Ursula's shell necklace which glowed brightly.
"YoU fInAlLy ArRiVeD~~~!" He exclaimed with a maniacal chuckle.
"Give me back her soul you rat bastard!" Harry shouted as he walked down the dock till he reached the bridge that lead to the dock.
"NoW wHy WoUlD i Do ThAt~~?" Captain Hook questioned, tilting his head in an almost unnatural way.
Uma placed her hand on Harry's shoulder. "Something's not right, the dock is too quiet." Uma stated, grabbing her sword.
The group followed in suit. harry kept his eyes on his father.
"Bring it on old man! I'm not afraid of you anymore!" Harry exclaimed, his accent thick.
"Oh ReAlLy~? We ShAlL sEe AbOuT tHaT~~!" Captain Hook laughed maniacally as a giant octopus breached out of the water.
"The kraken!!" Jay exclaimed.
"No, it's Ursula!" Mal and Uma exclaimed in unison.
The two looked at each other and nodded. "We'll handle Ursula, you guys take care of him and his goons." Mal stated as she transformed into a dragon and Uma dove into the water and transformed.
Harry never broke eye contact with his father, not that he thinks of that man as his father. He ran towards him sword ready to fight.
Hook met Harry's attack full on. The two fought it out. Harry managed to steal the shell necklace from Hook. Taking a few steps back he put the necklace on, gasping a bit he began fighting again.
~~~~~~~~~Luna's POV~~~~~~~
Where am I? What happened? Huh?
I was fighting Hook? That's not possible…. Wait that's not my arm.
'Harry?'
The arm stuttered for a second. I watched Hook get a bit further away.
'Luna????' A new voice sounded.
'Harry?? Is that you? W-where am I?'
'I believe your in me head, love.' Harry thought back.
'Watch out! Hook's running at us!' I exclaimed, causing Harry to block his father's attack.
'Harry fuckin Hook, you better win!' I exclaimed.
~~~~~~3rd person POV~~~~~~~~
Harry smirked as he began to fight with all his might against his father. The group fought for what felt like hours before Harry finally managed to plunge his sword into his father's heart.
Mal and Uma had turned Ursula into crocodile food, and the rest of the gang had finished off the goons. Harry was grateful that Smee wasn't around, he knew Smee was a good guy.
The group met back up at the docks.
"So did you get her soul back?" Uma asked.
"Ye, it's in here," Harry gestured to the necklace, "and she's in here." He pointed to his head.
"What?" The group questioned.
That's when Harry made the most girly giggle ever.
"Hi guys! Oh wow, this feels weird. Never thought I'd become my boyfriend, literally!" Luna said through Harry.
Everyone blinked then hugged Harry.
"Luna you're ok!"
"Girl we missed ya so much!"
""Let me breathe!!' Luna exclaimed with a chuckle, her voice taking on a bit of Harry's accent.
The group released her. "So is anyone gunna explain what's going on? Why am I in Harry's body, and why does my chest hurt so much, oh hey~~!" Luna smiled, holding up Harry's Hook.
"Luna, we will explain everything once we get you back into your own body." Mal explained with a smile.
"Ok, imma go back inside and let Harry take over." Luna stated, closing Harry's eyes.
Suddenly Harry's eyes reopened and he groaned. "Yea thats hard to do." He groaned rubbing his head.
"Come on lover boy, let's get your girl back to her body." Uma chuckled.
The group headed back to Auradon, where Fairy Godmother, Ben, and Chad were all waiting for them.
Harry groaned and suddenly Luna was present, running to Chad and hugging him.
"Chad!"
Chad was stick straight, confused.
"What happened to Harry?" Ben asked, wrapping his arms around his fiance.
"That is Luna. Her soul is in Ursula's necklace, and somehow she's able to talk through Harry." Mal explained as she leaned into her fiance.
"Lu? Why are you inside of Harry??" Chad asked, worried.
"Not sure, no one will explain anything." Luna pouted.
"Luna my dear, I think it's time to give Harry his body back." Fairy Godmother stated with a smile.
Luna sighed, releasing her brother and stepping back she closed her eyes.
Harry groaned as he came back. "I love her but she needs to stop that." Harry groaned, rubbing his temples, one with his hand, the other with the curve of his hook.
"Come on young ones, let's go."
The group followed Fair Godmother to the infirmary, where Luna was asleep.
Once there Luna peeked at herself through Harry's eyes.
'..... I don't see what you see in me Harry….. I'm ugly…..' Luna thought, sadness in her tone.
Harry frowned as he gently moved a strand of her hair that was in her face.
'Yer the most beautiful person I've ever laid eyes on, Love. Don't you ever think differently.' Harry thought back with a smile.
"Alright, so we need to get her soul out of the necklace and into her body. But how??" Uma questioned out loud.
"Fairy Godmother do you know of a way?" Carlos asked, all eyes now on her.
"Hmmm, I don't have my wand so I cannot perform any spells but Mal why don't you give it a good old Bibbidi bobbidi boo!" Fairy Godmother winked.
Mal nodded as Ben stepped back, holding out her hands, her eyes glowed a brilliant green. Harry reluctantly removed the necklace, causing Luna's soul to leave him.
"Let this soul and body reunite, to let these lovers unite!" Mal enchanted as a light came out of the shell and went inside Luna's chest.
Mal's eyes darkened as Luna sat up, eyes shot open.
~~~~~~~~~~~Luna's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I looked around the room, confused. How did I get back to Auradon? Last thing I remembered was being in my bedroom with Harry in Charming Castle.
"W-What's g-going o-on" I stuttered out, my throat feeling dry and scratchy.
Harry immediately got me a cup of water, handing it to me. I downed it.
"What is the last thing you remember?" Fairy Godmother asked me.
"I was at Charmington castle in my bedroom, it was night time, and I had my recurring nightmare, I got up and played with Harry's Hook and…. Now I'm here." I explained.
I looked over at Harry, frowning, I pulled him down so he was at my eye level. Placing my hands on either side of his face I examined it.
"Harry Hook, why do you have scars on your face? And why do you look like you haven't slept in a long time?" I asked him, seriousness dripping in my voice.
Harry frowned but leaned into my touch. "Love, ye have been asleep for two weeks. Ye almost died in my arms. That drove me mad not getting to hold ye in my arms. Ye are my rock. My stable ground here in Auradon." Harry explained, tears streaming down his face.
Shock filled my expression, before fondness took over. I gently wiped away his tears.
"My sweet pirate. I'm sorry I caused you so much pain. But I'm back, and I have no plans to leave you, ever. Because I love you Harry. I love you so much. And it pains me to see you hurting yourself." I stated, leaning towards him so our foreheads touched.
"We'll give you two a moment alone together." Fairy Godmother smiled, getting everyone else out of the room, leaving me and Harry alone.
"Harry, what else happened?" I asked once I was sure everyone was gone.
"It took me two weeks to figure out your soul was in my father's possession." Harry spoke, anger hinting in his voice.
"Of course it was him….. I never told you about my recurring nightmare, your father was in it, every night I would go to sleep and he would be there on his ship, telling me that I would go to his soon. I-I've had this nightmare since you rescued me from him the first time. The mark on my back was cursed." I rambled on in explanation.
"W-what?" Harry stuttered, listening to my story.
"I learned that after a week of the nightmare. It made sense as to why the mark wouldn't heal ...wait is he??" I asked, shaking a little.
"He's dead. Actually dead. I made sure of that. Uma and Mal took care of Ursula too." Harry explained gently taking my hand in his.
"Good." I stated as my shaking stopped.
"Alright missy. I need to see one more thing. Create a fire in your hand." Harry stated.
I nodded and held up my gloved hand and a light blue flame appeared, but this time it was adjourned with a tint of red. I blinked before looking at Harry and smiling.
"It's blue and red! Our colors!" I giggled, putting out the fire.
My stomach growled loudly at that, causing me to blush.
"Come on my love. Let's get some food in you." Harry chuckled, picking me up bridal style, causing me to have a giggle fit.
Laying my head on his chest I smiled.
"I love you my pirate!" I smiled.
"I love you my Cindy!" Harry responded, kissing the top of my head.

For the Dancing and the Dreaming
Fandom: Descendants Word Count: 1923 Pairing: Evie/Harry Hook Other Characters: (minor) Uma, Gil and Mal. Others are mentioned. Notes: This is super sappy, cause I’m a hopeless romantic and all that jazz. This is probably considered a song-fic. Not the original version of the song, but this is how I was imaging it. [Yes I was constantly listening to this while I wrote this little one-shot.] I highly suggest checking out his other covers as well. He does amazing Disney and other animated cover songs. Anyway, feel free to let me know what you thought! [Go here for the AO3 version]
The ball was at its peak, dozens of couples dancing and laughing in the middle of the dance floor. The night felt young and yet Evie found herself anyway from the grand party, gazing out into the night sky. Not that she didn’t want to be inside with the others. Any time spent with her friends was precious, but she needed a moment to herself.
Her feet ached, Harry barely allowing her a chance to rest since they arrived. A smile came to her lips as she thought of the sea loving man. Funny how life continued to surprise her. Four years ago she would have laughed in the face of anyone who’d told her she would be in a fully committed relationship with Harry Hook. The hot-headed pirate had been nothing but a thorn in her side from the first day he was pardoned and allowed in Auradon.
Always the handful, his beginning months in Auradon had been hell. Uma and Gil had assimilated themselves well enough into their new lives, but Harry was another story. He had taken some time, the man far to feral compared to his friends. Only two weeks had passed before there were talks of returning the teen to the Isle.
‘Far too dangerous,’ Fairy Godmother had whispered.
‘He’ll kill someone if left to his own devices,’ the former King declared.
But Ben, sweet King Ben, wasn’t having it. He listened to every word said, took them all in for consideration, but he wasn't one to give up. He had faith and a plan. Tutoring he had called it, but everyone knew it was nothing more than a glorified babysitting job. A job that had ultimately found it’s way in Evie’s hands.
‘Mal and I have royal duties to attend to,’ he had smiled apologetically, ‘Jay would rather snap his neck. Carlos already refused. Lonnie has her own duties and Jane is far to skittish to handle him, not that Fairy Godmother would let her even she did agree.
She had tried to decline, but there was no one else to offer up as a substitute. In the end she had been Ben’s last hope and she gave in. To say their adventure together only had a few bumps was the biggest understatement. Harry had been hostile. He quickly learned  Evie was not going to deal with the poor attitude he continued to  throw at her. Instead she forced him to focus on his studies and to try and avoid as much trouble as possible. If his temperament got the better of him it wasn’t above her to threaten him with sweet violently laced words of her own.
Harry seemed to forget she was from the Isle. She knew how to be bad. Magic was forbidden but there were many ways to poison a person without the use of a magic spellbook. She still remembered the quickest flash of fear that had appeared in his ocean blue eyes as she calmly delivered the threat. The smirk that came to his lips a second after held silent respect. All sessions that followed brought the slightest of shifts to their relationship.
“There you are, Blue. I found her!” a voice shouted from behind her. Evie jumped despite recognizing the voice as Uma’s, her heart threatening to burst from her chest in fright at being torn so harshly from her thoughts.
Scowl on her face, Evie attempted to turn around. Her action stopped by a pair of strong hands. She just made out the sound of Mal’s laugh as her vision darkened, a blindfold tied tightly over her eyes.
“What is-” she tried to strangle out of the grip on her, “Uma, what are you doing?”
“We have a surprise for you, Princess,” she could hear the smirk in Uma’s voice, “so just relax and let us take you.”
“When Harry finds out-” a gag wound over her mouth, her words nothing but muffled huffs. Oh Uma and whoever was helping her were going to pay for this.
“She all secure?” Uma asked.
“Yeah, I got her,” Gil replied. Of course, she should have known.
“Is all this really necessary?” Mal asked, “I’m pretty sure she would have come willingly.”
“Where’s the fun in that?” Uma snapped back.
Evie tried to relax in Gil’s hold, knowing the burly man would never hurt her. The situation only made her tenser. She had no idea what was going on or why Uma and Mal were working together in her kidnapping. She’d wait till they took her where they planned and give them hell when she was freed. She wasn’t going willingly, the heel of her shoes alternatively dug into Gil’s side as they walked. His grunts of pain certainly helped to make her feel better.
                                                    ~X~
It seemed like hours before Gil finally set her gently down. Taking advantage of being grounded, Evie stomped on his foot. The man yelp as he released her. She lost her bearings for only a moment before she straightened herself. Evie quickly removed the blindfold and gag, eyes narrowing dangerously on the smirking Uma and sheepish looking Mal.
“What the hell is your problem?”
Uma’s smirk only grew wider, “like I said we have a surprise for you.”
“For the record,” Mal cleared her throat, “the blindfold and gag were all Uma’s idea! I was just going to ask you.”
Evie shook her head, at the moment not caring to hear whose fault it was. All she wanted to know was why and where were they.
“Are we at Belle’s Habor?”
“They made it!” She heard Carlos yell from somewhere behind her.
“Not yet,” Mal grabbed her hand before she could turn to check on him, a blinding light illuminating the docks. Her friends began to appear from different locations around them. Lonnie and Jane looked beside themselves with excitement as they each came into view, clearing knowing something she didn’t. Evie’s confusion only grew as she caught sight of Snow White and her Charming standing besides Queen Belle and King Adam as they smiled fondly at her.
“What’s going on?”
“Now you can look behind you,” Mal smiled softly, giving her hand a squeeze before releasing her. Evie’s brows knitted together, catching Snow White’s eye once more before turning around.
A small gasp escaping her at the sight.
“I’ll swim and sail on savage seas,”
The Lost Revenge, now fully repaired and functional, was hooked to the dock. Harry sat in front of a beautiful black piano staring at ivory keys as he sang. He looked as handsome as ever in the dark red suit she’d made him, if moreso illuminated beneath the brilliant lighting. She barely took note of Jay, Carlos, Ben, Gil, Chad and Doug smiling from around him.
“With ne’er a fear of drowning. And gladly ride the waves of life,” He took a deep breath. She could see how nervous her fearless pirate was despite him not once looking up at her, “If you would marry me...”
Harry took another shaky breath. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth as he continued to sing. Eyes closed, Harry began to play. Not many knew of Harry’s talents with the piano and as far as she knew only Uma, Gil and herself had ever had the pleasure to hear him.
“No scorching sun nor freezing cold, will stop me on my journey. If you will promise me your heart, and love for all eternity.”
Captivated, Evie began to slowly walk to him. Everything seemed to melt away around them with each step she took, he was all she saw at that very moment. It was just them beneath the beautiful star filled sky.
“To love and kiss and sweetly hold, for the dancing and the dreaming,” the manner in which he played grew more and more confident with each stroke of the keys, “Through all life’s sorrows and delights, I’ll keep your laugh inside me.”
She’d never heard anything so beautiful, the pirate singing so sweetly despite knowing it was going against everything he stood for. Evie stopped when she finally came to the stand besides the piano, her hand resting on top of the beautiful instrument near his prize silver hook.
“I can not bring you rings of gold, I can not write you poetry. But I would keep you from all harm, if you will stay beside me.”
He still hadn’t looked at her, his eyes firmly closed and yet here she was unable to look at anything but him. She zoned in for a moment to catch the men around them softly joining in. Harry’s voice only grew stronger as he continued.
“I’ll swim and sail on savage seas, with ne’er a fear of drowning. And gladly ride the waves of life, if you would marry me.”
Not wanting to disturb him, Evie carefully slide onto the space beside him. Tears of pure joy began to well in her eyes as she watched him, her pirate king moving with the music he created.
“No scorching sun nor freezing cold, will stop me on my journey. If you will promise me your heart, and love for all eternity.”
Ocean blue eyes finally opened and turned to her, the smile he only carried for her on his lips. She flushed beneath his gaze, feeling all the emotions he only ever allowed her to see. Evie itched to touch him. To answer his question, but she allowed him to continue. Listening as he poured all the love her had for her into his final words.
“So promise me your heart and love for all eternity.”
The song ended with a hauntingly beautiful melody, Harry not once looking away from her. His chest heaved as he finished, his hand reaching out for her. Evie nuzzled her cheek into his hand, eyes fluttering shut at the contact she’d been itching for.
“No need to cry, Love,” he whispered, drawing her closer, his thumb wiping at the tears leaking for her eyes.
She laughed despite herself, “how could I not?” Evie met his gaze once more, “that was beautiful, Harry.”
“Sappy be a better word, Princess,” he smirked, winking playfully at her. There was her pirate, covering up his nervousness and embarrassment with teasing words and flirty gestures.
She wasn’t going to let him hide now. Not when he played the most beautiful song for her in front of their friends and family. “You never give yourself enough credit.”
“Aye, ye be right. Ah don’t,” Harry sighed, shaking his head. He straightened and reached for his hook, warmth radiating from him as he stared down at her, “put a pirate out of his misery? What say ye, Princess?”
His hook appeared between them, a gorgeous ring stubbed in rubies and sapphires on its curve. She silently wondered how she had missed it when she first arrived, but knew she had been to captivated by his words to care for anything else.
“Yes,” she breathlessly answered, “Yes, for all eternity.”
He choked out a laugh at having his own song used against him. Harry carefully removed the ring and slide it on her waiting finger. Hands cupping her face he pulled her forward, capturing her lips fiercely with his own. Evie matched the intensity of his kiss with her own, her hands covering his.
Lost in each other, the pair took no heed to the cheers and whistles around them. All that matter was they belonged to one another and nothing was going to tear them apart.

Maleficent “Mal” Bertha
Tumblr media
Face-claim: Dove Cameron
Status: semi-active
Biography:
Lady Maleficent "Mal" Bertha is half-fairy, and the main protagonist from the Disney Channel films Descendants and Descendants 2 She is the daughter of Maleficent.
As a natural born leader, Mal takes charge of carrying out her mother's evil plan to steal the Fairy Godmother's magic wand and enjoys drawing and casting spells, as she feels they’re needed.
As the movies progress, Mal lets go of much of her fears and goals, becoming in tune with her true self; thus she abandons the hollow life of evil, for a life of being good. With friendship and love, Mal ended filling the hole in her heart that couldn't be satisfied through what her mother had taught her.
Mal is a sneaky, smart, and ruthless girl who is a natural born leader and skilled at artistic things involving spray paint. Though she is compassionate to a degree she is also vengeful and doesn't forgive others easily. She is artistic and has a knack for casting spells, but only if needed. As the daughter of Maleficent, she wants to be like her mother: pure evil. Yet whenever she tries to prove herself to her mother, she often disappoints her instead.
But she does enjoy coming up with evil plans and is the most feared at her previous school because of her reputation. She isn't fond of beautiful surroundings or anything pink and finds them to be horrid, but she does sometimes wonder about how life would be off the island. Despite this, she is not necessarily immoral; she is just misguided. Her "mean girl" facade is an act because she does not want to be seen as weak in her mother's eyes; being one is the only way she is respected by Maleficent, who never cared about Mal. Ben is the only person who saw through Mal's act (including herself), and saw her for who she was, a good person and he is the only one who knows Mal's middle name. She also tends to be overly-sarcastic.
In the prelude novel, Mal is introduced as the daughter of Maleficent, the worst of the villains. Mal was born and raised in the Isle of the Lost, along with her mother, best friends and their parents. One evening, Mal dreams of being in Auradon on the edge of a beautiful lake with the soon-to-be-king Ben (to whom she did not know).
She doesn't always do so well in school, except for Advance Evil Schemes and Nasty Tricks taught by Lady Tremaine. For her Ultimate Project she chose to humiliate Evie in which she fails to do. However, when Diablo was reanimated and informs Maleficent of the return of magic to the fairy's staff, Maleficent instructs Mal to retrieve it to prove herself evil. Mal convinces Jay, Evie and Carlos to get the staff back from the Forbidden Fortress in the Isle of the Doomed, an area near the Isle. She saves Evie from getting cursed by the staff at the cost of the the staff losing its magic once returned to Maleficent. Afterwards, the four teens become friends.
In Descendants, Mal is first seen spray painting a brick city wall. Then, she and her friends wreak havoc across an area of the Isle of the Lost. ("Rotten to the Core") After taking a lollipop from a toddler, her mother Maleficent comes. She gives the news that the four have been chosen to attend Auradon Prep. She gives the four a task to steal the Fairy Godmother's wand, and hands over her spellbook to Mal. When they arrive at Auradon Prep, they are welcomed by the Fairy Godmother and Prince Ben, who made the decree that they be given a chance to live among them. Audrey, Ben's girlfriend and the daughter of Aurora, is unwelcoming and rude. Mal and Audrey exchange awkward looks, before Audrey takes Ben away.
Mal and Evie become roommates to a room Mal finds "gross," but what Evie actually really loves. At night, the two girls enter Jay and Carlos' dorm room while Jay and Carlos were enjoying they almost forgot what they are here for then Mal tells that it is their one chance to prove their parents that they are evil.
Then they went to the museum after knowing where the wand is being held. Mal successfully puts the guard into a deep sleep, and they go look for the wand. They enter a room, which contains statues of their parents; Mal stays behind, having a vision of her mother encouraging her to go through with the plan to steal the wand. ("Evil Like Me") They find the wand, but Jay accidentally sets off the alarm when trying to take the wand. They narrowly escape, thanks to Carlos reporting the alarm as a malfunction.
The next day, they have school; Mal aces Remedial Goodness as it's a no-brainer what answer good guys would choose. Jay and Carlos are in the Tourney team, and Evie is asked out by Chad Charming. Mal befriends Jane, Fairy Godmother's daughter, to get the wand; she plays on Jane's insecurities about being pretty by making her hair more beautiful. Lonnie, Mulan's daughter, asks Mal to change her hair to a cool style likes her; Mal reluctantly agrees, since Lonnie will pay $50 and Evie needs more material for sewing her outfits.
Finding out the wand will be used in the coronation, Mal hatches a plan to become Ben's girlfriend to get close to the wand, since only his folks and girlfriend get to stand up front. She begins baking a love spell into a batch of cookies; however, she finds that a tear of true sadness is the only ingredient missing. Lonnie bothers her (other girls want Mal to change their hair as well), and Mal reveals that the parents on the Isle of the Lost never showed them anything like love before when Lonnie remembers when her mother made her cookies whenever she was sad. Lonnie cries for them; Mal pretends to kindly wipe it away, flicking the tear into the cookie batter.
The next day, Mal uses psychology to trick Ben into eating the cookie, by making him think he doesn't trust a treat offered by the child of a villain. To Mal's surprise, the love potion works a little too well, as Ben breaks out into a song about his love for her after winning the Tourney game with Jay and Carlos' help. She readily accepts his request to attend the coronation with him, but feels a bit sorry for Audrey, who is shallow compared to her and choose Chad Charming (a manipulative jerk) as a rebound boyfriend.
Mal goes on a date with Ben to the Enchanted Lake. While on the date, they find they have some things in common, such as embarrassing middle names, and the status of their parents; Ben explains that while he has the "poster parents of goodness" and her mother is Mistress of Evil, they're not automatically like them as they get to choose who they get to be.
She is then taken aback when Ben tells her that he can see goodness when he looks into her eyes, not evil. While Ben takes a swim, Mal begins feeling conflicted since she's falling in love. ("If Only") When Ben doesn't surface, Mal attempts to save him despite not being able to swim; Ben saves her, albeit a bit confused. Mal points out that there's a barrier around the Isle of the Lost, preventing swimming. When asked if she loves him, Mal says that she doesn't know what it feels like to love; Ben says he might be able to teach her.
Prior to Family Day, Mal and her friends can video chat with their parents. Hearing her mother's subtle message, Mal decides that they're all goners if they don't succeed. Come Family Day, Mal attends with her friends and is introduced to King Beast and Queen Belle by Ben as his new girlfriend; the experience is mutually uncomfortable for three of them.
Playing a game of croquet prior to lunch, Mal meets Audrey's grandmother, Queen Leah, who initially mistakes her for her mother in shock. Ben explains the situation, but Queen Leah is furious at the very memory of her daughter needing to be raised by fairies due to Maleficent's curse. Feeling sorry for the misery her mother caused, Mal attempts to apologize, but is stopped by Chad Charming, who has never trusted Mal or her friends. After Evie knocks out Chad with a sleeping potion, Mal is left feeling hurt and confused more than ever; Ben attempts comforting her prior to leaving to prep for the coronation the next day. Jane and Audrey make fun of Mal, who snaps back at them by undoing the makeover she gave Jane's hair; she threatens to do worse, telling her friends she's looking forward to the coronation.
The following day, she rides with Ben in a carriage to the coronation. He eats a cupcake with the antidote to the love potion in it too early; however, she learns Ben has been free of the spell since their first date, thanks to the Enchanted Lake washing away the spell. Wondering if Ben had been had been faking his affection for her, Mal is left happily surprised he entrusts his signet ring to her. This however, causes her to begin questioning if she should give up this happiness love has brought her, in order to fulfill her mothers' evil desires.
During the coronation, Jane snatches the wand to give herself a makeover; however, the magic backfires and makes a hole in the barrier surrounding the Isle of the Lost. Mal takes the wand, and after encouragement from Ben, decides to choose good as it's brought her more happiness than evil ever did and states the fact that she wants to live here in Auradon because it brings her happiness. Her friends agree, just as Maleficent arrives to take the wand. With everyone but herself and her friends frozen in time by her mother, Mal finally stands up to Maleficent, saying she's never considered what her Mal wanted. Having a stare-off and using a spell, Mal shrinks her mother down to a small lizard, which is equal to the love in her heart.
Fairy Godmother unfreezes time, freeing everyone. Mal shares a moment with Ben, while telling Fairy Godmother not to be too hard on Jane since it was her fault for putting the ideas in her head. With her mother locked up, Mal decides to enjoy the after party with her friends. Mal dances with Ben to Set it Off. She then narrates "You didn't think that was end of the story, did you?" while giving a smirk to the audience as her eyes glowed green.
In the sequel, Return to the Isle of the Lost, Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos find themselves right where we left them in the movie. Enjoying everything that Auradon has to offer. In the Library, she then tells Ben about putting a fake nose on Pin. Meanwhile, she now has great friends, interesting classes, a world filled with hope instead of dreary villains and no future. They originally expected to hate it, but as we all know, they not only decided to stay, but to find their inner goodness. (And when there’s handsome princes, Tourney matches, puppies, and spontaneous musical numbers galore, who can really blame them?)
But when they receive a mysterious invitation to return to the Isle of the Lost, Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay find themselves falling into their old habits. Evil spells, stealing, and breaking the rules comes naturally to them, it’s not really their fault, it’s how they were raised! In addition to becoming Rotten to the Core once again, they discover a dark mystery at the Isle’s core, and must combine all their talents, both good and bad, to save the Kingdom.
Mal first has a daydream of her, Jay, Carlos, and Evie, huddled around a bubbling cauldron. She casts a spell on some apples to make the taster wicked. The four are then shown passing out apples and watching chaos break loose. ("Ways to be Wicked") She then is being crowded by several reporters in the front of the school asking her questions about the Cotillion and her life in Auradon. Ben and the Fairy Godmother intervene to veer the reporters away from a very relieved Mal. Ben talks to Mal about spending time together, before remembering that he is late for a council meeting and leaves abruptly after apologizing to Mal. Evie and Mal then walk away to get fitting for Mal's dress for the Cotillion.
Mal is then shown in her Cotillion dress getting fitted by Evie in their room. She complains her discomfort to Evie about the dress, along with the stress of all the events she has to attend to even after the Cotillion. She then asks Evie about what they would be doing if they were still in the Isle, which Evie laughs off. The TV then shows Mal and Ben on their tour of Auradon dining with Aladdin and Jasmine, which they stop to watch. The TV goes on to talk about the days until the Cotillion when Mal would officially be a Lady of the Court.
Mal gives a surprised gasp, at this, as she counts the days on her fingers. She walks over and picks up her spell book. She then chants a spell to remember everything she reads at lightning speed and starts to go over a book for "Lady Manners." Evie notices and scolds Mal about how dishonest she was being which Mal shrugs off saying that she was a mess before she started using her spell book. Evie takes the spell book away and when Mal begins to protest, she tells her that her spell book should be put in the museum along with Evie's Magic Mirror. After reluctantly giving up, she asks Evie if she ever missed running wild and breaking all the rules. Evie gives a shocked "no" asking why would they. She takes Mal and leads her back to the TV saying that they were in Auradon and that they were Auradon girls now. They watch the TV talk about Mal's love of strawberries, showing Mal and Ben on a romantic date eating strawberries. As Mal looks sad, Evie tells her that Auradon is the land of opportunity and that they could be whatever they wanted to be. Evie asks Mal to leave the past in the past, and when Mal still looks sad, she cheers her up by showing Mal her Cotillion shoes.
Mal then is shown walking through school with Evie, Jay, and Carlos. Jay flirts with some girls and Carlos asks why he hasn't picked anyone to bring to the Cotillion already, which he responds that he's going solo so that he can dance with all of them. After Carlos calls him the expert, he asks him on advice on asking a girl to the Cotillion, and Jay jokingly responds that he has to look like him. They run into Jane, who addresses Mal, but Carlos cuts in. He nervously asks her if she liked the carrot cake the night before, and Jane says that she had the pumpkin pie. After Jay drags him off, Evie addresses Lonnie and Jane if they wanted a spot for Cotillion fitting at three, and Lonnie hurriedly says "yes". She apologizing to Jane, saying that she will take Jane later. Jane starts asking Mal about decorating at the Cotillion. Mal says she has to get to class, but Jane says that she can nod if she likes it. Jane hurriedly starts listing decorative items. Mal starts to protest after Jane asks her about party favors, but she interrupts and starts listing more items. Jane stops to ask about pen toppers, and Mal eyes glow green. She closes them for a moment, and then smiles at Jane, agreeing with her. Lonnie comes around and tells Mal that she is excited to see what Mal's wedding will look like, and Mal, dazed, agrees before looking surprised. Jane tells Mal that the Cotillion is like getting "engaged to be engaged to be engaged." Mal started stuttering about not knowing about it and that her entire life is just laid right in front of her as Ben walks up behind her. Ben addresses Mal and tries to talk to her but is drawn aside by Jane as Mal waits for him. Jane then talks about Ben's present to Mal at the Cotillion, which turns out to be a stained-glass window depicting Mal with Ben kneeling before her. After Ben reminds Jane to make Mal's eyes green, he says goodbye to Mal, who walks away. Jane then asks about the different shades of green to use, and he chooses one.
While Mal is at her locker, Ben walks up to her. He tells her that he has surprise for her, and she laughs about how many presents Ben gets her. When Ben looks into her locker, he sees her spell book, and asks her if she is going to donate it to the museum. She closes the locker door to block his view and muses about how she had forgotten about it. She says that she has to get to class, but Ben stops her and walks her over to a purple scooter with a bronze bow on the handle. Mal gasps in surprise and tells Ben how she loves it. She then says that she didn't get Ben anything. He reminds her that she told him that she would take him on a picnic with all his favorite foods. Mal says that the picnic is going to be on Thursday. They start arguing about it being Thursday until Ben takes his phone out and shows her. Mal covers up her surprise and says that she was just joking. She says she needs to bake only one more thing, and when Ben reminds her about class, Mal says that she will multitask and walks away laughing.
Mal runs into Carlos's room as reporters follow her and she slams the door, panting. She locks the door, then walks over to the TV, which was talking about her, and turns it off hurriedly with the remote as Carlos watches her. When Mal's eyes glow green, Carlos tries to calm her down. Mal starts to rant about how reporters are always running after her and taking pictures of her. She asks him if he ever missed screaming at people and making them run away from him. He tells her that she was thinking of Carlos's mother, Cruella, which he was usually being the one running away, and tells her no. Carlos then asks Mal if she brought "it" (a truth gummy) and she starts to open a small container. Chad suddenly opens the room silently and stealthily, unaware that Carlos and Mal were in the room, and closes it. When he turns around, he looks surprised to see Carlos and Mal there. He awkwardly says hi, and then tells Carlos that he just wanted to use his 3D printer. Carlos asks Chad about how he got the key to his room, and Chad says that he printed it off last time he was there, when they were sleeping. He tries to defend himself by saying how good Carlos's 3D printer is, but Carlos tell him to get out and leave the key. He angrily walks out and slams the door. Carlos then reminds Mal about the "potion," which turns out to be a truth gummy that will allow Carlos to say what he wants to say to Jane. Mal cautions him about if he really wants to take it because it will make him say the truth all the time and remarks that if she took it, she would get sent back to the Isle. Carlos tells Mal that he will take his chances, but before Carlos takes it, Dude jumps off the bed and eats it from Mal's hand. Dude then starts to talk, much to Carlos's and Mal's surprise and disbelief, remarking that the gummy was "nasty." He continues, chiding Carlos about "man up," and to scratch his butt. Mal, shocked, told Carlos to scratch his butt, then awkwardly turns and leaves. Carlos protests about Mal just leaving him there with Dude.
Later, Mal and Ben are sitting together on the picnic date near a lake. She feeds him a hors d'oeuvre which Ben remarks is the best thing in the world. Ben said that she had made every single dish Mrs. Potts made for his parents. He asked Mal if it really took her three days to make it all, which she jokingly asks him not to even ask her. Ben told her that it meant a lot that she stopped and did all of that for him, and that they didn't have a lot of time being just "them." Ben then asked if there were any napkins. He reaches into the picnic basket, and Mal tries to stop him saying that she can get them herself. However, Ben takes Mal's spell book out, to Mal's shock. She quickly makes up an excuse saying that she threw the book in the basket at the last minute in case it rained during the date. However, Ben started to read the list of spells that Mal had tabbed showing him that she had used the spell book to read quickly, turn her hair blonde, and cook all the food that she had "made." Ben starts to get angry, telling her that he had been falsely complimenting her for fitting in well. Mal, desperate, tries to spell him into forgetting the moment, but she messes up. Ben jumps up from the table, figuring out she was trying to spell him. They start yelling at each other, Mal saying that transitioning into Auradon was hard, while Ben retorts that becoming king has been hard as well. Ben says that Mal has been lying and keeping secrets from him and reminds her that Auradon isn't the Isle of the Lost. Mal retorts that she knows it isn’t and explains that she isn't a pretty pink princess or a Lady of the Court. She then grabs her spell book and casts a spell over the feast which turns it back to "what is real," which turns out to be a peanut butter jelly sandwich and a glass of milk. She then walks away, despite Ben trying to call her back.
Mal returns to hers and Evie's room dressed in her VK outfit. She grabs a pencil and pierces air holes into a blue and black pencil box. She drops it, then starts to cry saying that she doesn't belong in Auradon. She picks up the box again and walks over to the glass cage where her mother, Maleficent the lizard, is kept. She opens the cage, takes out Maleficent and places her in the box. She then smiles weakly and says that they're "blowing this popsicle stand," then places the lid on the pencil box.
Afterwards, Mal drives her purple scooter wearing a purple helmet to a cliff at the edge of Auradon overlooking the sea and the Isle of the Lost. She stops, breathing heavily, and takes off her goggles. She quickly takes her spellbook out and casts a spell on her scooter that will take the driver anywhere. She then drives across the water trailing green magic, slightly hovering over the water and bouncing into it occasionally. Mal rams into the barrier, but passes through it with a gasp of surprise. She then is shown driving through the "market" causing many people to shout in surprise and move out of her way quickly. She stops at a corner and takes off her goggles to see a poster on the wall advertising the Royal Cotillion showing Ben and Mal together. An eye patch is drawn over Ben's right eye , and Mal's face has and "x" over it with "GOOD GIRL" written on her. Mal peels the poster off the wall, crumples it, and throws it over her shoulder. She puts her goggles back on and drives off, many people staring at her as she leaves. She drives on until she reaches a building, turns right, and parks her scooter in an opening. She takes off her helmet, grabs a rock off a nearby table, and throws it at a sign reading: "Danger: Flying Rocks" hanging to the side of the building. It folds to the wall, then a door slides upwards revealing a flight of stairs leading up the building. Mal then starts walking up the stairs to the room above.
Mal later is walking down to Lady Tremaine's Curl Up & Dye. She gets to the doors, but notices that there is hanging sign that says the shop doesn't open until midnight. She pushes the doors open and walks inside to reveal a hair shop with walls and furniture splattered with paint and bubbling bottles. She spots Dizzy Tremaine sweeping the hair-covered floors while listening to "Rather Be With You" on her headphones. Dizzy notices Mal and exclaims with surprise, asking if Evie was with her as well. Mal chuckles and tells her "no", and Dizzy looks disappointed. Mal tells her that she forgot that the place doesn't open until midnight and compliments it saying that it looks good. Dizzy chuckles, and Mal asks her if her grandmother has given her any customers yet. Dizzy responds that she only gets a witch here and there. She goes on saying that she usually does a lot of cleaning. Mal asks her if she did Evie's hair, and Dizzy tells her yes, and that she thought of the little braids that Evie wore. Mal asks Dizzy if she had any ideas for her, and Dizzy examines her. She begins criticizing Mal's hair and nails. Dizzy asks Mal how far she can go with her hairstyle, and Mal tells her to make it so that Mal feels like herself, but way worse. Dizzy squeals happily, then grabs a large pair of scissors. She dyes Mal's hair magenta, then cuts some hair off. Dizzy straightens Mal's hair and paints Mal's nails black. After it is done, Dizzy spins her chair around and Mal gets up to look herself in a paint-splattered cracked mirror. She then pulls out money from her pocket and gives it to Dizzy, who asks her if the money is for her. When Mal says yes, Dizzy exclaims in happiness and runs over to the cashier laughing.
Dizzy stops when she sees Harry Hook walking into the entrance. He tells her to give him the money, and calls her a runt. She reluctantly gives him the money in his outstretched hand. Harry then tells her to give him the rest of the money as well, gesturing to the cashier by hitting the desk with his hook. Dizzy walks slowly to the cashier while Harry puts the money in his mouth. Dizzy pulls out the money from the cashier and gives it to Harry. He says thank you and starts to walk out, unaware of Mal's presence, while Mal watches while chewing some gum. Mal speaks up, asking if Harry still runs errands for Uma or if he gets to keep what he steals. He turns around, shocked, and calls Mal's presence a "nice surprise." Mal says hi to him, and Harry starts walking towards her, telling her that Uma will never give back Mal's old territory. Mal says that it is okay, because she is going to take it back. He chuckles lightly, using his hook to brush through Mal's hair saying that he could hurt Mal. She suddenly grabs his wrist, and takes the chewed gum out of her mouth and places it on the tip of Harry's hook. She looks at him telling him that she bets that he couldn't hurt her without her permission. Harry lifts the hook and eats the gum off of it. He then walks towards the entrance, sweeping the counter with his arm, sending multiple objects flying to the ground. He turns back to Mal, makes a mock bow, and walks out of the shop. Dizzy, who was still behind the cashier, sarcastically remarks about how much more sweeping she has to do now.
Ben, Evie, Jay, and Carlos arrive at the VK's old hideout, and Jay opens the entrance with a rock. The three VK's wait outside while Ben walks up the stairs. He finds Mal in a room with walls full of graffiti. She is unaware that he is there, since her back is turned because she was using spray paint to draw herself, Jay, Carlos, and Evie with black spray paint with the words "Rotten to the Core" while standing on some boxes. Ben comments that at least she didn't draw him with horns and a pitchfork jokingly. Mal lets out a gasp of surprise and whirls around. Ben apologizes to her about their fight, saying it was all his fault and begs Mal to come home while lifting up her ring to her. Mal walks down the crates and tells him that she is home while walking towards him. Ben pushes on, telling her that he brought the limo. Mal says that she doesn't fit in in Auradon even though she gave it her best shot. Ben then says that he can change, that he will skip school, have more fun, and blow off some of his responsibilities. Mal cuts in, saying no and that she is a terrible influence on him. She tells him that one day she might do something so messed up that the kingdom will turn on both of them. Ben shakes his head, pleading her not to quit "them," and that he and the people of Auradon love her. He asks Mal if she loves Ben. He takes the ring and places it in Mal's right palm. Mal looks down at it, and takes it in her other hand, smiling slightly. She then places it in Ben's hand and closed it into a fist. She sadly tells Ben that she needs to take herself out of the picture because it was best for Ben and Auradon. Ben starts to protest, walking towards her, but Mal backs up, clearly uncomfortable with Ben being to close. She tells him that she can't do this, and that Ben should leave. She walks over to the boxes, grabs the spray paint can, and steps up. When Ben keeps standing there, she asks him again to leave. Ben walks slowly away, and Mal looks miserable.
When Ben walks out of the building, he tells Evie, Jay, and Carlos that Mal refused to go back to Auradon. Evie insists that she will talk to her and walks over to an object that resembles an ear trumpet stuck to the wall while Ben walks away. She asks Mal to let her talk to her for a second. On the other line, Mal walks over to another ear trumpet in the room and pulls a heavy lever next to it, then tells Evie to "go away" then Carlos asks Evie and Jay where Ben is. They stop and look nervous, while Evie calls Ben's name. They see a shadow walking over to them through a dark aisle, and Evie angrily tells Ben to not scare them like that. The shadow turns out not to be Ben, but Harry Hook. He says that scaring is his specialty. Jay angrily demands what Harry did with Ben, and Harry said that they captured him. He says that if Evie, Jay, and Carlos want to see Ben again, to have Mal come to Ursula's Fish and Chips alone that night. He goes on saying that Uma wants to have a little visit with Mal. Harry turns to Jay, and makes a mocking sad face saying that Jay has lost his touch. Jay lunges for Harry, but Evie holds him back while Harry laughs and mockingly barks at Carlos. He turns around and walks casually back into the aisle, whistling. Jay turns and starts climbing up a ladder leading up to the top of the building, while the others follow.
After Jay, Carlos, and Evie explained what happened, Mal starts scolding them saying if they hadn't brought him along, he would have never been captured. The other three explained that Ben would've come anyway, and asked Mal what they were going have to do now. Mal says that "they" are not doing anything and that the matter is between Uma and herself, and she would get Ben alone. Carlos tries to slow Mal down, saying that she will still have to go through Harry Hook and his wharf rats to get Ben, and Jay agrees saying that she will need them to help. Mal reminds them that she has to go alone and Jay responds saying that they would wait for her until she gets back. She comes to Ursula's Fish and Chips and talk to Uma, who challenges Mal to an arm wrestling match when Mal was winning and her eyes glowing green then Uma says to Mal for her to bring the Fairy Godmother's wand to distract her and wins also tells her to bring it to her ship at noon.
Carlos, Jay, Evie tells Mal there's no way they're going to bring the wand and Evie commented about Mal's new hairstyle and told her that Dizzy had done it and they were talking, then Carlos interrupted them and Mal resumes to go over the plan to fool Uma and Mal remembered Carlos's 3-D printer he can use it to make a replica wand and also use smoke bombs. While Carlos and Jay returned to Auradon to replicated the wand, Mal and Evie went to Lady Tremaine's Cut Up and Dye and Evie saw Dizzy and she showed Evie a scrapbook and then they made colorful smoke bombs, when they returned to their old hideout, Mal told Evie that she was not returning to Auradon then Evie said I'm staying with you and Mal told her you're an Auradon girl and I'm just a girl from the Isle. Then Mal tossed a rock at the sign and they climbed the stairs to a landing and discuss what they’ve been feeling towards their situations.
After they return with the replica wand Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos and Lonnie face Uma and her pirates. But Uma wanted to see if it's real, Mal made up a fake spell to make Dude talk to fool Uma. Mal gave Uma the replica wand and Uma gave Ben back to Mal. Once Uma had the wand, she tried to cast a spell with the wand to lower the barrier and nothing happened. Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos, Lonnie, Ben got into a sword fight with Uma, Harry, Gil and the pirates. After using colorful smoke bombs to distract the pirates Mal and the VKs with Ben and Lonnie escaped the from the Island and return to Auradon. Once they got back, Lonnie returned to swords and Jane approached Ben about Cotillion and he asked Mal did she want to cancel it, but she didn't say anything. Evie came to Mal telling her we need to talk but Carlos stopped them saying he was tired of them running off to have a girl talk so told that they are her family and told them to sit and talk. After the talk Evie told her that her dress will be there if she wants it and Jay asked Mal that if she can't stand one more day there he would drive her back himself.
At Cotillion Mal was introduced as future Lady Mal, she appeared in her Cotillion dress came down the stairs talked to the former King Beast and Queen Belle then Evie taken her hand to ask if she's alright they turned to look at the stairs when King Ben showed and told Mal he wished he had time to explain when Uma appeared. Uma talked to Mal and started to dance with Ben, Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos and Lonnie started to leave when Jane told Lumiere to show everyone Ben's gift to his lady and unveiled the stained glass of Mal and Ben. Uma got upset and wanted it covered up and it was refused, she wanted Ben to order the Fairy Godmother to lower the barrier and she refused. Mal told Evie that Ben had been spelled and Evie said the Uma found Mal's spell book, Mal kissed Ben to release him from the spell.
Uma upset then tried to take the wand from Fairy Godmother and Evie was between Fairy Godmother and Uma to keep Uma from getting the wand. Uma then reached the railing of ship, Mal tried to stop her from going over but Uma's necklace glowed, and she went over, after she went into the water she changed to have tentacles like her mother. After seeing that, Mal moved to an area on deck and changed into a dragon in front of everyone and went after Uma they were going to fight but Ben jumped into the water between them to stop it, Uma was rejected and defeated, she gave Ben back the ring and she then left. After Ben climbed back on board the ship along with everyone seeing Mal as a dragon return to the ship and in purple smoke changed back to herself with a different dress, approached by Evie telling her "I did not know I can do that" and Evie saying "Tell me about it" who then blown a puff of a smoke off Mal's dress. Then returned to Ben and kissed him again, afterwards everyone started dancing and Ben placed the ring on Mal's finger and watched everyone bow to the couple.

Hey, not sure if ya ok with Asks and stuff. But hey- Chad Charming fic???
; "I didn't thought it was possible to freeze with fear and burn with Shame at the same time."
Tumblr media
Trigger Warnings: Resentment, misplaced anger, mention of grandparent death, etc.
Will be posted on ao3 later tomorrow.
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Ever since his grandfather had died, Chad Charming had been able to ignore the little voice in his head that tried to talk him out of things and the shame that almost always followed when he did something he knew was wrong.
It had been something he’d been doing for four years and hadn’t really planned on changing.
But then he did something that made him both freeze with fear and burn with shame.
He’d made his little sister cry.
Chad hadn’t meant to.
He truly hadn’t.
Sure, he blamed her for a lot of things that had happened to him in his life but at the end of the day Chloe was still just a little kid and he had never wanted to hurt her. Even when he was that little 8 year old kid who felt like he was being replaced after he had finally gotten adopted after years of nothing of rejection— thoughts of hurting her in any way had never crossed his mind.
But at 18, he had done just that by making her cry because he had wanted to stew in his own anger and hurt over how Audrey had treated him during her ‘Queen of Mean’ stunt instead of hanging out with her.
Stewing in his hate, anger, and hurt like he had been doing since his grandfather died.
Chad had really never thought about how that might have been affecting his sickly little sister. He had thought that she didn’t care that he wasn’t around because she had the combined attention of their Aunt Snow, Uncle Ferdinand, Cousin Glauco, and parents her entire life.
But that..
That wasn’t the case.
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Chad had been sneaking off to the kitchen to get something to eat when he passed by Chloe’s door and heard it.
Crying.
And while he’d been raised not to eavesdrop he couldn’t help but do so, wondering what the Golden child could be crying about.
He wished he hadn’t done that because nothing could have prepared him for what he had heard.
“Why does he hate me, mama? What did I do?” Chloe asked, gasping for air as she choked on yet another sob. Voice cracking.
Far from her usual sweet, happy go lucky self.
It made his blood boil—made him want to track down whoever had upset her and punch them until they apologized even though he knew he likely couldn’t do that because the chances were it was another kid that had hurt her.
Which was a line he just wouldn’t cross.
No matter where the kid was from.
“Chad.. Chad doesn’t hate you, honey. He’s just… he’s just hurting right now.” His mother replied hesitantly, causing him a nasty feeling to curl up inside him.
He didn’t..
When had Chloe started thinking that he hated her?
And when had his mother started to believe that he did?
“You always say that! You’ve been saying that since Grandpa died!” Chloe snapped, before breaking down again. “I didn’t even do anything. I don’t understand why he keeps avoiding me!”
Chad silently retreated, unable to bear even the mere thought of hearing any more of the conversation that had shame slowly consuming him.
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Chad had never wanted to hurt his little sister’s feelings.
He had never wanted to hurt her at all.
But he had and now he had to find a way to fix it, and a way to fix himself—something he had put off doing for years.
Because he knew if he didn’t, he’d lose his sister forever and he really didn’t want that—even if he still resented his parents for constantly forgetting about him. Because he couldn’t keep punishing a little kid for something that wasn’t her fault to begin with.
It wasn’t right.
And Chad…
He wasn’t right either.
It was about time he started to fix that.
