Recently there had been a discussion on one of the message boards he was apart of about art. People had been sharing their collections, mostly stolen, but it had got him thinking! He did not have an art collection. He was a scientist, what use did he have for things hanging on the wall taking up space that could be better filled with hooks for equipment?
He figured when he ruled the world all of its art would be his, but why not start now? After all, it had been a dream of his to have one of those fancy portraits that royalty had in the movies. It could act as his poster for when he did succeed! And, unfortunately, he couldn't just steal one of those. He had to find someone to do it for him.
Which was how he found this local artist and why he was sitting in their studio. Out in the woods. Above a garage. Almost like a lair! Wonderful.
"So!" he grinned, clapping his hands and rubbing them together briefly. "How does this work?"

Vee was super excited to be Stage Manager. To be trusted while still being new to town! That was exciting! Only, Vee wanted others to know that they could trust them to do a good job, and that was only going to be achieved by doing a good job.
Part of that job was to make sure everyone had what they needed and that Vee documented everything according to standards.
But Vee was sort of dreading talking to Toulouse.
Why? Well, Mirabel said he was particular. Now, that didn't deter Vee at the time, Vee knew that they (Vee) were a newcomer and that someone like Toulouse probably had systems that they didn't want messed up.
Still, it was intimidating to Vee. Not just as a stage manager, but as an artist. Once Vee got to know a little more about Toulouse's presence, Vee felt a need to impress them.
So there they were, straddling the line between trying to be professional and respectful and wanting to ask Toulouse a million questions about art.
Vee was an art student, after all.
"So!" Vee says, during a lull in the action, "hi! I know we met quickly at first rehearsal, but I'm Vala Carrero-Noceda, and I'm the Uni Stage Manager for the University Production. But you can call me Vee. It's nice to meet you!"

He pushed himself up to his feet and sighed with joy and relief. Until he heard the news. "A month! Nygh!"
Whatever. He had waited this long, and had just had to sit through torture. He was getting this painting if it killed him!

Sit Down for Dinner will be released on September 29th through section1. “Melody Experiment” is about a communication breakdown between two people in a relationship. The album was written and recorded over a 5 year period in various locations around New York and Italy. Their North American, UK and European tour kicks off this fall. She had felt terrible that she couldn’t get in contact with the man she’d previously met at the bookshop. If it wasn’t for the fact her phone had been stolen, it was that she could barely remember his name. It would have been foolish to call his place of work and ask for someone that didn’t exist. But it was time she took matters into her own hands and took advantage of her freedom. She wanted to visit the museum ( regardless of the slim chance that she’d bump into him again, though it was one she certainly wouldn’t mind if she did ) and it proved to be a choice she wouldn’t regret. It led her to where she was in that exact moment: waiting with a group of people who shared her enthusiasm, give or take maybe one or two that were grumbling in the front, and making delightful conversation with the woman next to her as they anticipated the arrival of their tour guide.

All the other stuff...eh, not so nice. He'd already forgotten the first time. High...what? No temperature changes?? Or light? But he had wanted to put this up in his lab! Stuff was changing in there all the time due to the various experiments he did.
"So then....say I wanted to put this somewhere that's never quite stable as far as the environment went," he ventured to ask. "What would happen to it?"
