Three? Who has time for three hobbies? According to The Lore, he builds lego sets and like keeps them, so that's one. He's def a player of video games but he's picky about which ones. Mostly open world, and only if they're doing something interesting with it. And he likes to garden! He and Dina split a plot at a local community garden.

Hmm...probably more of an introvert but not like SUPER introvert-y. He's more shy than reserved. He's not super private or anything but he also doesn't feel like he connects well with other people, so he only tries in a limited capacity.

Hmm that's a tough one! I think maybe...New Years? It's not a holiday that emphasizes family (like Thanksgiving/Christmas) or romance (like Valentine's day), and he does love the idea of like a fresh start.

He does enjoy gardening! I don't think Owen would describe himself as having a green thumb, but he's not horrible either. Like, not everything he plants flourishes, but not everything dies either. Perfectly neutral.

Just one so far. He wants to learn Korean but...eh...it's hard when he doesn't remember speaking it if he ever did.

Paige is so bad at hobbies and relaxing! She is a workaholic through and through. But I think if she had to pick, she likes to cook. She would also really get into collecting things (coins, stamps, whatever) if she could start. And I think...idk...stargazing? Again, if she could give herself the time to start.

Hmmm great question! Maybeeeee....idk I'mma say Labor Day. Partially because she was inspired as a younger writer by reading about early industrial unionization efforts and strikes, and partially because it signals that fall is coming and she loves fall.

She does not have a green thumb! She can keep a succulent alive but struggles with outdoor plants in general. She likes gardening when she does it but doesn't make time to do it.

Two--English (fluently) and Spanish (passable in conversation but def not fluent). She isn't learning any now but between stories she plans to work more on her Spanish.

they're pretty proficient with most melee weapons but their default is a dagger or, for range, a very tiny pistol. they keep one of each strapped on them at pretty much all time.

💪 for a sport-themed headcanon

sports? hm. theo's favorite sports to watch, other than like gymnastics obviously, is college women's basketball. they feel like it's the best showcase of pure athleticism. they can watch most sports and enjoy it enough but NCAA women's basketball is their preference.

👗 for a clothes-themed headcanon

we've talked a little about their formal wear but i want to continue. they almost certainly brought the few nicer things they have in a "just in case" kind of over-preparedness but i also think they lowkey hate shopping for that sort of thing so they def bring their own nice-ish clothes to every cover just so they won't have to do it again. they have a small but decently varied collection at home--one or two dresses that are only a last resort, and then several jumpsuits and then trousers/suit jackets/vests in various combos.

knox is a simple lad (prefers fist-to-fist if he must fight) but if he absolutely had to choose a weapon like for a duel or some shit, he'd probably pick some sort of gauntlet bc fist-to-fist.

oh this is a ho who cannot resist the chance to play catch. if there is a ball or a ball-like object u know he is throwing it. he likes to do little "keep it up without using your hands" type games with a soccer ball but honestly genuinely he will be in the kitchen tossing and catching an orange to amuse himself

he has his civvies which he wears when he's actually off-duty, but when he's working, unless it's a formal even where he needs to be in like full military getup, he's mostly gonna dress in like...casual duty outfits? a plain white t-shirt and work pants (like a sturdier material than denim, in a fairly loose cut) and boots. maybes a leather jacket if he needs a jacket.

there must be sports on the fae court so she def plays those but she wasn't actually much of a jock. she's much more like a "physical activity is my job, not my hobby" personality.

Mostly she's dated within the court, so yes they keep in touch. Maurelle tries to be very "it was an assignation that is over, no reason to linger over it or burn bridges because of it." There are a few that either she avoids or they avoid her, but none that she's outright cut ties with. And, obviously, Calista....

All things considered? Probably single with a fwb situation or two. She sees that as the best of both worlds.

he's barely single talented >.< jk noah has a few talents. he can tell you what day of the week any date was/will be, which is his mundane superpower. he is also pretty good at puzzles (both, like, in-game puzzles and jigsaw puzzles). he went to boarding school as a kid and many forms of entertainment were forbidden but there were lots of puzzles and he enjoyed the fact that he was good at them, so that's how he picked that.

hmmm...i think "moving boxes" by with confidence, or "snap out of it" by arctic monkeys. i think the first because it's got this feeling of like we cannot name what this thing is between us; it is ephemeral and dangerous but intoxicating. and the second because it's horny!angst

she comes from the fae equivalent of a military family. her parents are like fellow guards to her within the court. it's been this way for decades--long enough that she doesn't remember another way.

she's pretty talented! i mean the magic and stuff, obviously. but beyond that, she has a pretty good singing voice, and she's particularly adept at mimicking sounds. like...that game changer where they're making really accurate animal/machine sounds? she'd be pretty good at that. she just picked it up, like, around, and held onto it as a cool party trick.

it really depends! i think she has powerful resting bitch face so people assume she doesn't give a fuck about anyone, and that she's a total tough love person. in reality, though, if she understands your situation, it's very easy to show her compassion in her sort of tsundere way.

i guess i don't really! nothing pops into my head at least. i think we've spent less time on her so if i had a song when we started this plot, i forgetti...

totally fine because alexa, in typical fashion, carefully curates what they hear/see of her, so in their perspective, she's a creative and thoughtful writer who is working on her career. they don't see her party girl side at all, and alexa is very happy with this arrangement. selecting what side of herself to show is second nature to alexa, so it's no real effort for her to do this with her parents.

she is! she was a gymnast, ambidextrous (prefers her left but equally good with each), can juggle... really most coordination things, she kind of has down. her mom put her in gymnastics because she didn't like little league, and the juggling was born out of boredom.

her natural state is definitely more on the empathetic side, but it really depends on how much she cares. she's pretty able to turn it on and off. she tends to keep her vulnerable side to herself so it does sometimes surprise people.

yasmin has a little stuffed teddy that she's had since the day she was born. his name is mr. oso and he lives at the bottom of her underwear drawer where hopefully no one can find him but keiran definitely does

maurelle's wings, when they're out, are translucent and look like amber phantom wings. she doesn't rely on flying by any means, so they don't get much use

when they go back to the human realm (not often), adra and calista usually stay close to adra's home. however, they have ventured out into forests further north/west, even going as far as the coasts or the mountains as adra wants to explore more

for times when damian can't communicate enough in asl (which does happen!) they use speech to text for him, and hugo just responds by typing. eventually, hugo starts keeping a whiteboard by the bed for in case damian stays over and they want to communicate without having to get out the technology, just in case damian needs it for some reason

Maurelle went through the fae equivalent of a rebellious adolescence where she would do intentionally dangerous things. Fuck around too close to iron. Intentionally put herself where humans might see her. Toy with the unseelie. Just like--try to get herself into trouble so others would notice her. It's part of the reason she's so regimented now; she's had centuries to think on her mistakes and regret how stupid she'd been, especially now that her kind grow weaker and the planet dies. But she still has some spunk in her and can definitely be cajoled into trouble if you push her right buttons (that sounded dirtier than I meant it but ah well)
