It isn't an uncommon fear, an instinct born out of animal nature. Storms can be deadly, with the ability to turn on a dime and there's a reason that their ancestors tried to avoid them. But Kira tilts her head up to feel the rain fall onto her face, trying to soak in the environment. Thunder claps loudly around them and she's unsettled by the way the wind seems to have picked up from nowhere. She can't say that she loved storms as a child, but she remembers how her mother told her the story of the raijū, the mythical thunder beast of Japanese legend and companion of the god of thunder. How he too grew restless and fearful during storms, leaping from tree to tree during them. Her hand falls to her stomach instinctively, covering her navel to protect against the old stories she'd been told as a child, and fingers resting on the buckle of her belt. "We shouldn't be out in this," she replies somberly. She doesn't want to stoke more fear into Flori but there's a gut feeling that this is not a normal storm. California didn't really get storms like this one, and there was something about it that set Kira's teeth on edge. "You can stay at mine until it blows through."

Being a fox shapeshifter (were-fox) and Kira’s best friend would look like:

I guess you can say foxes are drawn to each other because when Kira first moved to Beacon Hills you immediately befriended her—literally walking straight up to her in the library with a beaming grin. “Hi! You’re Kira right? I’m Y/n, mind if I join you?” Not even waiting for her to say yes you dropped your things and began pulling out homework for you history class. She was a little taken aback but polite nonetheless, “U-uh sure. I don’t mind.”

You’d known Scott and Stiles since middle school but hadn’t become friends with them until the whole Alpha fiasco when Peter bit you in hopes of making you a member of his pack. However, the little trickster you naturally are, ended up shifting into a fox instead of wolf—eyes glowing more orange instead of yellow and canines smaller than Scott’s. When Peter discovered this—shortly before his untimely death—he bestowed you with the nickname ‘Little Vixen’. Eventually you managed to fully evolve into a fox like Malia could as a coyote.

When it was revealed Kira was a Kitsune, a Japanese Fox spirit, you couldn’t help but go, “Look at us, Ki, we’re a pair of foxes! Ain’t that neat!” Of course her fox was different from your fox—for example she brought forth her spirit when wielding her sword and you could shift into yours as you came and went. Even when Kira’s fox spirit was thrown out of balance due to the Dread Doctor’s, it was like the Kitsune recognized the fox within you and held some sort of respect.

Basically the Fox didn’t attempt to kill you like it did everyone else. “Maybe it thought we were relatives or something.” “Well whatever it thought from now on you are gonna have to step in whenever I lose control.” “You’re my best friend, of course I’m gonna help you.” From that moment on you and Kira became each other’s anchors. She was there to calm you down on a full moon and you were there to put the Fox in her at ease.

“We’re like platonic soulmates, Ki.” “Platonic soulmates who are a pair of foxes. The best combo if I’ve ever heard.”

Kira always had a pack of extra clothes that fit you in her bag. Shifting into your fox form or fighting to the point your outfits are tarnished enough times had your best friend come prepared to everything.

There are days where Kira will catch you and Malia in your fox & coyote forms chasing each other on the lacrosse field or play fighting. This will have Kira running after y’all because bystanders are calling animal control, “Get back here you two!”

Another time you were stuck in your fox form and unable to shift resulting in you having to stay at Kira’s house until the pack could come up with something to fix you. This also meant Kira had to come up with something to tell your family when you were a no show at home for nearly three days, “the drama club had a competition in Los Angeles—Y/n got the lead role in their production of ‘Wicked’ so she’s there right now.”

In return you always covered for her when she’d be with Scott. “I’ll be your scapegoat, Ki. Just tell them you’re going camping with my family this weekend. They’ll never know.” “You really underestimate how good my mom is at finding things out.” Sure enough, they got the truth pretty quick when Noshiko spotted your parents out to dinner the night ya’ll were ‘camping.’

You two will have girls nights with Malia and Lydia whenever y’all are in need of a break from the world. During the three month period between the shit with the beast and the Wild Hunt you four spent every penny you owned going to concerts, festivals, comic cons, and weekend trips to L.A or San Fran. As you can expect, the boys would get jealous.

When Kira decided to go with the skinwalkers you were devastated to say the least. It felt like a piece of you was missing with the absence of your best friend. But Kira made a promise to check in every once in a while and you’d be the first to know when she was coming back.

After all, there was nothing that could stop the pair of foxes when Beacon Hills was in need of saving.

The assuming their dating and Megumi choking- asdfghjkl YES. Because let's be honest then Yuji would try and make a list of things to show "Obviously they're NOT dating" and it just ends up as a list of shit that is so clearly obvious they're dating it's not even subtle. Megumi choking. Nobara a little offended she didn't know first. Everyone just laughing their asses off at the embarrassment. I can vividly see this oh my god 😂😂😂

Another OC that ships with Nori! (Not like I'm a nerd and ship my kinda oc with nori or anything shhhh) But he just is so good for that snarky banter I swear I love it ♡

But the Inari demon with a Nezuko type character design sounds FANTASTIC (actually I'm totally picturing a piece from Kato's Ao no Exorcist that has an Inari demon possession that would be so freaking cool) I like the clan tied into the curse idea too. Is it just an inherited curse technique or is there maybe more like a contract with a curse? Bc actually that'd be kinda cool bc you know somewhere along the line the jujutsu universe is fucked up enough that someone would offer their children to a curse to continue a line of power. I mean the clans are fucked as it is anything basically goes 😂 I love that she ships with nori though!

To he honest, the back of a closed veterinary clinic wasn’t even on Alec’s Top 10 List of Weird Places to Run A Con From.  They didn’t even have to break in (which disappointed Parker) and he could admit his heart lurched when the back door was opened by a somber faced man in a tan sheriff’s uniform.

Nate of course didn’t miss a beat, pulling an obnoxious persona out of thin air.  “You’re not Clancy!” He barked, wagging a finger at the sheriff.  “Where is that no good son of a pickle?  I swear, if he gave me drunk directions again...Cookie!  Cookie, didn’t I say he sounded drunk?”

“Oh yeah!” Sophie continued, soft voice gone nasal and sharp.  “Lemme call him, maybe he’s sobered up by now….”

The sheriff held up a hand to cut her off.  “Very believable, but I know who you are, Mr. Ford.  Come in.”

Huh.

That was not at all expected, but the man wasn’t giving off any of the classic ‘Gonna do some arresting tonight’ vibes.  His hand wasn’t on his gun and though he had clearly pegged Eliot as the most physically threatening he wasn’t posturing.

The next surprise came when they actually entered the animal clinic and found it packed with teenagers - exhausted looking teenagers - and a handful of adults.  Around the room, Alec could see soda cans, pizza boxes and sleeping bags, clear signs that this was being used as a makeshift shelter.

What the hell was happening here?

“Peter,” Nate said, addressing a man of about Eliot’s age with a goatee and lean, handsome features.  “You mentioned something about a self styled fascist flooding your town with guns and trying to murder children.”

“Nate,” the man, Peter, replied.  “I did and there is indeed a genocidal geriatric running around.  Rumors put you running a team of Robin Hoods...I thought there’s be more of you after hearing about San Lorenzo.”

“We’re more than capable as is,” Sophie said with one of her charming, reassuring smiles.

“Spencer.”

The name was spoken by a slim, bearded man in a leather jacket and Alce was shocked to see that Eliot didn’t look annoyed.

“Argent,” Eliot replied, taking a few steps forward and exchanging one of those forearm gripping warrior handshakes with the other man.  “What’s happening that you can’t handle?”

Okay, so Eliot respected this guy.  Which meant the situation was probably even more dire than anticipated.  

Argent sighed.  “My father is organizing Hunters who don’t follow the code in an attempt to wipe out every supernatural being in Beacon Hills.  He’s arming civilians, feeding their fear and innocents have already died.”

“Also there’s an ancient shapeshifter called and Anuk-Ite running around that enhances fear and hate and breeds violence because that’s its idea of a Country Kitchen Buffet,” a pale, dark haired young man added, making Argent grimace and incline his head in agreement.

Before they could continue, Alec held up a finger.  “I’m sorry, Supernatural beings?  Hunters?  Shape shifters?  Are Sam and Dean gonna pop out of the closet next...and that wasn’t a double entendre though Dean and Castile do give me reason to think maybe...Nevermind.”

“That show has a lot of inaccuracies,” a grumpy looking man who could play Superman on a CW show (if he ever was introduced to a razor) muttered.

“Really?  That’s the problem you have with...What the hell?!”

Around the room, eyes began to glow, golds, blue and crimson.

“Look, we don’t really have time to ease you into the whole Werewolves exist thing ns for that I’m sorry,” a young Latino with a kind face and those red eyes said.  His eyes returned to a warm brown as he continued, “We’re real, we’re in danger and we could use your help.”

Parker jabbed a ginger into Eliot’s ribs. “You knew!” She accused, not sounding nearly freaked out enough.

Actually, Nate and Sophie were taking things in stride too and Eliot merely nodded.  “I knew.”

“Right!” Nate said, calling everyone’s attention.  “I’m going to need a full briefing on the situation, also names and abilities as I assume most of you won’t sit on the sidelines while we’re working.”

“Scott McCall, I’m an Alpha,” said the handsome Latino kid.

The pretty redhead spoke next.  “Lydia Martin, Banshee.”

“Stiles Stilinski, human,” said the fast talker and Hardison glanced at the name badge the Sheriff wore.  His kid clearly.

“I’m a werecoyote.  Name’s Malia,” a leggy brunette said from where she was glaring at a burly boy.

“Kira Yukimura.  Kitsune,” the beautiful Japanese girl in Marvel leggings told them.

The rest of the introductions were just as fast.

“Isaac, werewolf.” The tall blond guy beside “Danny Mahealani, human.”

“Liam Dunbar, werewolf.” Small, younger guy in need of s haircut.   Burly was standing near him.  “Theo, chimera.”

“I’m Mason, human, and he’s Corey, a chameleon chimera.”  A young brother holding a book and the nervous looking kid huddled close to him.

Look up rich douchebag in the dictionary and you’d find, “Jackson, werewolf kanima.”

“Ethan, werewolf.” Another Abercrombie looking guy.

Furry Superman was, “Derek, werewolf.”

“Peter Hale,werewolf.” Nate’s acquaintance.

Eliot’s buddy was, “Chris Argent.”

“Melissa McCall.” Clearly Scott’s mom...and also very hot.

“Sheriff Noah Stilinski.” The sheriff.

“Deputy Jordan Parrish, hellhound.” Yet another model looking guy.

Title: Caring is an Act of Maturity Ch. 2

Summary: Set after 6x19, speculating on something that might happen in 6x20, with regards to Theo’s ability to take pain. AU now that the finale has aired.

 The final battle was long, terrible and bloody, preceded oddly enough by Coach Finstock giving a rousing rendition of the president’s speech from Independence Day.  Coach had popped up out of nowhere with Greenberg in tow and unlike the rest of the town, the two of them had their wits about them and wanted to stop the whole armed militia of PTA moms and dads roaming the streets as much as the pack did.  

More people showed up to fight with them than expected, the supernatural population of Beacon Hills and the surrounding areas rallying, coming together at the call of a True Alpha. Help arrived from the outside too, starting with Stiles and Derek, who were soon followed by Cora and Braeden. Then Kira and Noshiko Yukimura showed up, ready and willing to fight.  They hadn’t been back an hour when Isaac Lahey, another of Scott’s Betas who had been out of the country, arrived with Danny Mahealani and a whole bunch of French Hunters (sane, loyal to Chris Argent Hunters) in tow.

While Scott, who temporarily blinded himself, dispatched the Anuk-ite, the rest of them took on the hunters and armed towns people.  Shockingly, Gerard put a yellow wolfsbane laced bullet in his daughter and Kate mauled him to death before Braeden put her out of her misery.  Kira didn’t kill Monroe, but she took her down hard after Lydia disarmed and disoriented the killer with her Banshee scream.  The former guidance counselor was now in police custody.

Sheriff Stilinski, with the help of Agent McCall and Deputy Parrish had taken back the police station, kicking the asses of mutinous deputies who had tried to put up a fight. The cells were now overflowing with the more aggressive hunters, former deputies and anyone who they could prove had actually killed someone.

Most of the town had come to their senses once the Anuk-ite was taken out of the equation and were horrified by their actions.  It didn’t really make Liam feel any safer though, knowing what kind of hate was simmering under the surface of many of his neighbors.

The Beacon Hills natives needed to regroup, so the French hunters were left on damage and crowd control, making sure no one decided to try to eliminate witness to their own crimes, while the pack and their other allies crammed themselves into the McCall house.  Melissa was busy patching up the humans who had been wounded with the help of Isaac (a lot of people had winced when the tall young man murmured something about having a lot of experience with patching himself up).

Leaving Mason and Corey curled up together on a chair, the pair having finally given in to the exhaustion they were all feeling, Liam found himself wandering out onto the porch. Theo was there, wearing a shirt borrowed from Scott that was too tight across his bulkier shoulders and biceps. Scott was strong and muscular, but Theo’s build included a burlier upper torso.

Shaking his head to clear it, Liam chided himself for focusing on such an odd thing to notice.  After all, Theo’s build really had nothing to do with anything, Liam just appreciated that the other young man was fit…and he really needed sleep.

Yeah, that was it.

“How’re you doing?” Liam asked, thinking the question seemed a little lame, but not knowing what else to say.

The Chimera had been wounded in the final battle, shot twice (thankfully not with wolfsbane bullets) and stabbed once, but, like all the other injured werewolves, his body had healed.

Theo shrugged.  “I’m fine…I just don’t know…”  He flexed his hands, looking down at them like he didn’t recognize them.  “I feel different.  Ever since I got back from…but more so lately.  I don’t….”

Liam has never really thought of himself as being good with emotions.  Hell, he still fought to control his IED daily, but he could read the honest confusion in Theo’s gaze.

“What happened before I brought you back?” Liam impulsively asked, because it seemed reasonable to think that something had changed Theo during that time.

With a wince, Theo looked away.  “I died over and over again.  I saw Tara and she took her heart back so many times.  I didn’t eat, I didn’t sleep, I just ran and dies…until I realized I should just stop running.  I deserved it for what I’d done.”

It was the first time Liam had heard Theo outright admit that what he had done in the past had been seriously fucked up. Sure, he’d made a few comments about  changing (and had demonstrated he had with actions), but there was something in his tone that told Liam the other boy wasn’t lying or trying to manipulate him.

Mostly, Theo sounded tired and sad.

“You did deserve it,” Liam agreed, placing a hand on Theo’s arm.  “But you don’t deserve it now.  Honestly, you were not a good person, but people can change.  You have.  I mean…you took Gabe’s pain, just because it was right.  That means something.”

Theo met his gaze.  “That kid was an ass.  He made stupid choices, listened to bad people and did terrible things.  But he was a kid and he was alone and dying hurts so much….”

The raw pain in Theo’s voice made Liam’s chest hurt and he squeezed Theo’s wrist.  He wanted to make the older boy feel better, but this wasn’t the sort of hurt that would disappear in a moment.  “Scott says you can stay.  In the pack, I mean,” Liam told him, knowing Theo desperately wanted to be a part of the pack.  “But if you ever try to hurt Scott again, I’m pretty sure Malia and Isaac already have some plan for disposing of your body.”

When Scott had let the pack in on his decision to allow Theo and Peter to join them if they wanted to, Malia had protested loudly and then filled in those who hadn’t been around recently.  Soon, Malia and Isaac were bonding over having very strong “Protect Scott From His Own Tendency To Be Too Nice” instincts.

A small smile graced Theo’s face.  “That…I’m glad.  I don’t really have anyone else.”

That made Liam’s brow furrow as a thought struck him.  “Hey, where have you been living?”

“My truck,” Theo answered, rolling his shoulders as though thinking of the cramped space.

Wrinkling his nose, Liam came to a decision.  “You can stay with me.  My folks are pretty cool.  They don’t even know I’m a werewolf and they still didn’t join Gerard’s little torch wielding mob,” he said with a nod.

Surprise registered in Theo’s eyes.  “Really?” he asked, hope tinging his voice.  

Liam squeezed his wrist again, fingers slipping down to clasp his warm, broad palm.  “Really. Now let’s go in.  Mrs. McCall let Derek take over her kitchen and Cora and Braeden went to the store and bought out the meat department.  Whatever he’s making smells awesome.”

A small laugh spilled past Theo’s lips and he smiled, all bright, soft eyes and Liam’s breath caught again.  

Together, they entered their house to join the rest of the pack, just in time to hear Coach declare, “Boy, I was glad when I found out you were just a werewolf, Hale.  With all that lurking around the lacrosse field and hanging out with underage kids, I thought you were some kind of pervert.”

The much beleaguered expression on Derek’s face got the whole room roaring and only a couple of people noticed that Liam was still holding Theo’s hand.
