eijiro doesn't let bakugo's act of annoyance stop his plan. instead, he motions for bakugo to follow him as he moves from his friend's dorm door to the communal bathroom. from one of his hands hangs a plastic bag, filled with box dye he had previously asked his combative pal to paint on his head.

"come on. it's just a little dye. can't you help a dude out?" it's not a question, but an explanation.

Taming the Beast Within Ch.10

After the situation with the ball toss, the Quirk Apprehension test continued with sit-ups, followed by the seated toe-touch, and then finished with the long-distance run.

“All right,” Aizawa addressed the crowd of exhausted students “it’s time to give you your results.”

Kyoko gulped. She was sure that she was in dead last and was the one that was guaranteed to be sent home.

“I’ve ranked you all from best to worst. You all should probably have a good idea of where your standing already so I’ll just pull up the full list.”

Why is he just delaying the inevitable…?

Just send me home and get it over with already.

Aizawa presses a button on the device that he was holding, which causes a light blue holographic screen to be projected with the names of every student in 1-A listed based on their score.

Kyoko could feel tears beginning to brim in her eyes as she attempted to try and hold it together. At least until she got out of range of her soon-to-be former classmates.

“And I lied, no one’s going home.” Aizawa nonchalantly reveals to the group of students who were stunned into shocked silence.

I’m…

I’m not going home?

“That was just a deception to make sure that you gave it your all during the tests.”

An overwhelming sense of relief and joy causes a small smile to grow on Kyoko’s face. She gets to stay. She gets to continue training alongside other hopeful students.

“I’m surprised that the rest of you didn’t figure that out. I’m sorry, I should have said something before.” A tall girl with a large ponytail awkwardly states.

“Well that’s it. We’re done for today. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom and read it over before tomorrow morning.” Aizawa announces before walking away.

However, he soon stops in front of Midoriya and hands him a sheet of paper before continuing his exit.

Kyoko lets out a long sigh as she walks down the entrance path of the school. It felt as if all of the air in the area was being let out of her lungs all at once.

“I’m sure glad that’s over.” She mutters to herself.

She soon lets out a yelp after hitting something. Something sturdy and tall. Kyoko looks up to see both Iida and Midoriya looking down at her.

“S-sorry about that Iida. I should’ve paid more attention to where I was going.” She stutters out while getting herself off of the ground.

“It’s no problem at all, Nozomi. But please, be more aware of your surroundings next time.”

I already know that…

Kyoko lets out a sigh while running a hand through her hair “Man, I wasn’t expecting the first day to be so nerve-wracking.”

Midoriya lets out a sigh of his own “Tell me about it…”

Kyoko soon notices that Midoriya’s pointer finger was completely wrapped in a white bandage.

“Y-Your finger…”

Midoriya’s eyes widen “Don’t worry, Recovery Girl took care of it and I feel just fine now.”

“Ok. If you say so…”

Kyoko joins the two as they continue walking down the entrance path in order to leave the school.

“I was concerned by Mr. Aizawa’s approach to class, but I trust the school’s judgement.” Iida states, seemingly thinking aloud.

Kyoko raises a brow at this remark “Really? Seems a bit extreme to me…”

Iida turns his head towards her “Of course! U.A is the top program. Although, I must admit it was downright immoral for Mr. Aizawa to lie to the class.”

“I thought he was scary at first, but that’s not it. He’s just really serious about school.” Midoriya comments.

“You thought Aizawa was scary? If anyone was scary, it’s definitely Bakugou. Then again, maybe it’s just because of my up-close encounter with him.”

Kyoko’s eyebrows furrowed at the recent memory. Bakugou’s piercing red eyes staring straight into hers, seeing every ounce of rage that was aimed right at her in that moment. And being shown later during the test what he could potentially do to her if she wasn’t careful made a shudder run down her spine.

She would have to make sure to try to stay out of his way. Even if that means avoiding him all together.

Despite the spark of intrigue that he ignited in her earlier.

“By the way, sorry about what happened with Kacchan. I should’ve been quicker to warn you.” Midoriya sheepishly apologizes.

“Don’t worry, it was mostly my fault anyways. I shouldn’t have been so quick to approach him like that.”

But still…

The way he acted when Midoriya showed his quirk…

Maybe…

“Hey!” A cheerful voice calls out from behind the three classmates “Wait up you three! Are you going to the station? I’ll join you guys!”

It was the brown-haired girl. The one that could make things float just by touching them.

“Hi! I’m Ochaco Uraraka.” She says with a happy grin on her face “And let’s see, you’re Tenya Iida. You’re Kyoko Nozomi. And your name is… Deku, right? Midoriya?”

“Deku!?”

“Yeah, isn’t that what Bakugou called you?” Uraraka asks, the cheerful smile never leaving her face.

Midoriya fiddles with his fingers nervously, his cheeks holding a light pink tint “Well. My name’s actually Izuku. Deku is just what Kacchan calls me to make fun of me.”

Deku…? Kacchan…?

Where on Earth do you pick up nicknames like that?!

“Oh, I didn’t realize that! Sorry.” Uraraka admits while rubbing the back of her head.

“But you know what? I like Deku. It would make a great hero name! Plus, I think it sounds kind of cute.”

Midoriya’s face is now completely red. The same shade as a ripe strawberry.

“Deku it is!”

“Just like that?” Iida and Kyoko both question in unison.

“Weren’t you just saying that it was an insult?” Iida asks further.

“Yeah! I mean, why are you suddenly ok with it now?!” Kyoko adds.

Midoriya hides his flushed face in his hands “Paradigm shift! My whole world is flipped upside down!”

The four new friends continued down the path on their way to the train station. Each one making small talk with the others in order to help pass the time. Sharing laughs, and embarrassed blushes in Midoriya’s case, along the way.

Little did Kyoko realize…

A certain spark…

Would soon be getting stronger…

Coping with a fic for Ch. 285 - Pt. 2

Eijiro Kirishima was lucky to be alive.  

After him and the other students had fought that monster and the League of Villains in the mountains, the injured Kirishima was carried off by his peers and the group sought protection far away from the danger — no man left behind.  

The scene back in the safe zone was complete and utter chaos.  Medics and first responders rushed around the slowly gathering crowd of wounded heroes.  Kirishima insisted that he was much better off than everybody else, and after being assessed by professionals had been deemed severely banged up, but not in critical condition.  As a first responder checked his pupils to make sure they weren’t dilated, Tokoyami’s voice rang out in the air. 

“HELP!”  He screamed.  The panic in his voice sent chills down his classmate’s spines.  “I NEED HELP OVER HERE!”  Cloaked in a weeping Dark Shadow, Tokoyami flew through the skies, and landed in front of an ambulance with a broken man dying in his arms.  Kirishima quickly recognized the charred body to be the number two hero: Hawks.  

Why was he here?  Kirishima hadn’t been aware that Hawks had even been a part of this mission… 

Medics lowered the wounded hero onto a stretcher and wheeled him into a truck, working on him immediately with quirks, as well as modern medicine.  Dark Shadow whimpered and cried as it hugged a stoic Tokoyami.

“I know how much you care for him… let’s hope he will be fine,” Tokoyami comforted Dark Shadow, as a grim expression washed over his tear-stained face.  The medic cleared Kirishima, and he hopped off of the ambulance’s bumper to make way for the next patient.    

Kirishima scanned the crowd for his friends.  Some were being looked at, and even fewer were being treated.  That was a good sign.  He recognized Denki off in a corner, looking fried and beat up; he looked shaken, but ultimately safe.  The electric blond caught his gaze and waved at Kirishima with wild excitement, ignoring the medic who was attempting to take a look at him (almost like they were in a completely different and carefree setting — a couple of friends who’d been separated at an amusement park).  Kirishima let out a sob of gratitude and waved back weakly.  As Kaminari was apparently cleared by the medic (who quickly moved onto somebody else), Jiro came seemingly out of nowhere and nearly tackled the blond.  She ran up to him and threw her arms out, hesitating just short of actually hugging him.  Her fingers flexed in confusion as her hands hovered on either side of his head.  His bright smile faded as confusion took over his expression.  She squeezed her hands into frustrated fists, and for a moment Kirishima was certain that she was about to slap him (and by the look on Kaminari’s face, he was preparing for that outcome as well).  Instead, she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him, nearly knocking him down with the force.  Kaminari instantly hugged her back, chuckling lightly as he regained his balance.  The two of them held onto one another tightly as they continued to sway gently, eyes closed, with no sign of letting go.  

Kirishima smiled at them — lost in their own world — and found Mina staring after them as well, with a happy, tear-filled expression.  She caught Kirishima’s gaze and grinned at him fondly, crossing her hands over her chest.  She held up one strong fist as if to say ‘we did it.’  Kirishima returned the gesture and nodded.  Sero stepped in next to her, smiling at Kirishima in relief and waving at him, before wrapping Mina in a tight side-hug and closing his eyes — a silent show of affection that said he was grateful for her safety.  

…But where was everybody else?  

Kirishima counted his classmates, he counted the heroes.  There were still some missing.  Where were they? 

His question was quickly answered when Mineta’s high pitched scream pierced the dusk. 

“BAKUGO!  SENSEI!  MIDORIYA!”  

“Bakugo?”  Kirishima ran towards the sound as fast as he could, dodging anything in his way, until he saw an orange and black body being wheeled down the hill towards the trucks.  “No!”  He gasped, picking up speed as he saw how completely covered in blood Bakugo was.  He was running straight towards him so quickly, he didn’t even realize that Rock Lock had grabbed him around the waist and swung him around, away from the stretcher.  “LET ME GO!”  Kirishima roared, clawing at the arms holding him back. 

“You need to let them do their job,” Rock Lock explained, rationally. 

“I NEED TO SEE HIM!”  Kirishima panicked.

“You can’t,” Rock Lock responded.  

Kirishima’s last cry for Bakugo was a wordless, gut-wrenching, voice-cracking, sob that escaped his throat before the tears had even sprung to his eyes.  He began breathing erratically, looking around at his classmates’ pale and distorted faces as they all took in the sight of Bakugo, Midoriya, and Aizawa Sensei all being wheeled into separate ambulances, all passed out on stretchers. 

The pro hero wrestled with Kirishima, ignoring his protests and holding him tightly in place while the teen fought to free himself (too tired to bother using his quirk to do so), until the older man finally snapped, roaring, “YOU’D BE IN THE WAY!” 

Kirishima stilled at that.  His brain stilled.  Time seemed to stop.  

They were loading Bakugo into the truck.  They were taking him away. 

It was too late. 

“Bakugo…”

*FYI, ships so far have been mostly pining/platonic up until this point, so even in this fic they’re closer to cannon than fannon.  (Also Sero and Mina are genuinely just friends, but they are very close).  (Kamijirou has pretty much just blossomed in that hugging moment without previous instances, and Kiribaku is just powerful, undefined feelings at this point).

Ishimoto: It’s not bald! It’s... thinning!  This turban does much more than cover a slightly receding hairline.  No this turban entitles the one who wears it, to be in charge of Yuuei.  One day, you will wear this turban.

Eijirou: I’M GONNA BE BALD?!

Ishimoto: THINNING! Anyways, the point is you won’t wear it until you learn how to rule with an iron fist!  Like your father.

Eijirou: Uh, Dad? Your “turban”.

His heart skipped a few beats the moment he felt the other's teeth sink into his flesh. He didn't know why he held back from freezing whoever was behind him, but he was glad he didn't. It was Kirishima. He should have expected that.

Letting out a heavy sigh, he stared into the other's eyes. He would never think he'd get to the point to allow someone to do such a thing, but he had. He would still get shocked for a few seconds but he had gotten better at calming down right after. People had many different ways to express their emotions. He had to face that truth the moment he started to get close to some.

“ Did you sleep well? ” was the only thing he could come up with when looking at the red-haired. An unnecessary question he didn't ask often but one he needed to distract himself.

BNHA Hybrid fic

Summary: After finally becoming financially stable and months of your friend hounding you, you finally decide to get a hybrid. What you didn’t expect, was to adopt not 1 but 6 hybrids. Much less, did you expect to get so attached to them, as they did you. What you did know, was that you were going to not just house them, but give them a loving home.

Meet The hybrids:

Bakugo Katsuki (Pomeranian): Grew used to being the only pet and being spoiled which caused him to develop a superiority complex. After his past owners got a new hybrid they decided to return him since he would attack the other hybrid without provocation. Is often seen with Kirishima Eijiro and sometimes is followed by Midoriya Izuku.

Midoriya Izuku (California Sable bunny): Was used as prey for dog hybrid hunts and is shown to have a fear of most people and dog hybrids. Also idolizes the popular Jack rabbit hybrid, Toshinori Yagi. Is often seen around Todoroki Shouto and sometimes seen around Bakugo Katsuki.

Todoroki Shouto (Siberian Cat): Was abused by his previous owners to try make him be a submissive ‘trophy hybrid’ to show off. He always rebelled against his owners which caused them to return him. Often keeps to himself and tends to lash out on unknown humans. Is often seen around Midoriya Izuku and sometimes Bakugo Katsuki.

Kirishima Eijiro (King Shepard): Was neglected by his past owners who showed more attention to their other hybrid which created a huge onset of insecurities. These insecurities caused their owners hatred to grow and to return him to a shelter- he now strives to be the best hybrid he can be. Is incredibly happy and excitable. Is often seen around Bakugo Katsuki.

Shinso Hitoshi (Ragdoll Cat): After adoption by his past owners, he was continuously verbally abused saying that he will never be a good enough hybrid. Eventually was returned when he became more recluse from his owners. Is often seen with Aizawa Shouta.

Aizawa Shouta (Maine Coon Cat): Used to be a great hybrid before his previous owners killed one of his friends (Oboro- Australian Shepard dog) and started attacking the owners whenever he got the chance. Otherwise became incredibly quiet and doesn’t seek out human attention. Is often seen with Shinso Hitoshi but can be seen trying to take care of the other hybrids (Bakugo Katsuki, Midoriya Izuku, Todoroki Shouto, and Kirishima Eijiro).
