Figured I'd make a post outlining Arknights' auxiliary material for those who want to see more of the universe and aren't aware of all that's out there! ANIMATION Arknights Prelude To Dawn (S1) and Perish in Frost (S2, currently airing): [Crunchyroll]

Officially Translated Rhodes Island's Records of Originium: Rhine Lab: (Offical Website)

A canon manhua centered around the circumstances that lead to Silence falling out with Saria and joining Rhodes Island with Ifrit, as well as Ifrit's attempt to save a dying infected stowaway on the landship. Essential reading for understanding the Rhine Lab storyline and characters - read it right after Mansfield! One of the characters, Darya, is mentioned in both Ifrit's module and briefly in Lone Trail.

Rhodes Island's Records of Originium: Blacksteel: (Official Source)

A short story focusing on the lives of the Blacksteel operators aboard the landship. While it often gets overshadowed by the Rhine Lab manga which is bigger in scope, this is a great read especially if you're interested in Franka or Liskarm.

Rhodes Kitchen -TIDBITS-: (Official Source)

An anthology story related to the cuisine that's important to a variety of operators. While it might seem unassuming, the art is gorgeous and it's really well-written. I particularly recommend the Goldenglow (Chapter 4) and Rosa (Chapter 5) chapters.

Arknights Comic Anthology: (Mangadex)

As the title says, a series of non-canon anthology stories regarding the cast of Rhodes' Island! Note that the link provided only has complete translations up to Volume 4 (and Vol. 4 is missing Ch. 7), and most of the chapters avaliable after that point were MTL'd, so I can't vouch for their accuracy. Chapters I'd recommend are: Volume 1: Chapter 12 (focused on Myrrh trying to improve her medicine), Chapter 14 (focused on Saria and Silence trying to put apart their differences to take Ifrit on vacation, afaik the only place where they are directly referred to as her "moms") Volume 2: Chapter 1 (Manticore tries to make friends), Chapter 3 (The LGD gets drunk), Chapter 11 (Texlapp and Mosexu yuribait), Ch. 13 (Magallan tries to find a pet), Chapter 16 (Ethan spies on the interior lives of Rhodes operators) Volume 3: Chapter 6 (Snowsant, Ifrit, Nian and Shaw are forced to make friends), Chapter 7 (Gummy flashes back to Chernobog), Chapter 10 (FEater and Shaw yuribait), Chapter 13 (Blackout on the landship, as well as Ayerscarpe and Leonhardt yaoibait)

Part of the Terra Historicus website and not yet officially translated, focusing on Fang, Kroos and Beagle, and a catastrophe striking the Columbian city of Tkaronto. Unfortunately, only translated up to Chapter 6, but one of the characters (Elba) has a brief cameo in Light Sparks in Darkness! Edit: Chapter 7 has been translated by @pooce-art, and they're working on Chapter 8!

Angelina: Sketches of THIS Messenger's Journey: (Mangadex)

Also published as part of the Terra Historicus website and not yet officially translated, focuses on the adventures of Angelina travelling across Terra as a Messenger! Recent chapters relate to the upcoming Sami event & IS4, as well as the upcoming So Long, Adele.

Prelude Suite: Unrestrained Play: (Wiki)

Unfortunately, I can't find a full translation for this one - an epilogue to Hortus De Esscapismo focusing on Arturia's background. Of course, major spoilers for Hortus apply - if you can find a full translation yourself.

As well, an upcoming manhua focused on the Break the Ice cast was annouced during the 4.5 Anniversary stream. As far as I'm aware, chapters have not begun releasing yet!

Generally speaking, people tend not grow shorter. Also I do believe I'm still in my growth period, so I can say with confidence that I've almost certainly grown during these past two months. By the way, do you know about growing pains? Lately my joints have quite sore. If I compare my recent pains to the pain I felt prior to these last two months, then by my estimate I should currently be about 15-... Oh, did you also know that when measuring your height, it can vary by up to 2 centimeters between morning and night? When you sleep, the pressure placed upon your vertebrae is less, so you're at your tallest right when you wake up. Then you gradually shrink throughout the day. I believe when I measured myself two months ago it was about 11:40, so if I had measured myself right after waking up then I believe I would be one, or possibly even two centimeters taller. Knowing this, do you still want to know my height? The number is completely arbitrary, so there really would be no point in knowing, yes? I can't say I'm all that fond of pointless endeavors. Besides...

(Ok sounds like someone doesn't wanna reveal how short he is... Anyway I looked up some stuff about growth in teenage boys and I didn't go past the first page of google cuz I'm lazy but teenagers typically grow 1.25 cm (0.49 in) to 5 cm (1.97 in) in a month during a growth spurt. This gives a range of about 2.5 cm (0.98 in) to 10 cm (3.94 in) that he's grown throughout the 2 months he mentioned. Since he remarks on being "quite sore" it's probably around the higher range but we'll be conservative for a more accurate range and say he's only grown 2.5 cm (0.98 in). Now Akechi seems the type of guy to document his height down to multiple decimal points but I'm only willing to round to the hundredths place giving us a high point of 159.99 cm (5 ft 2.99 in) and a low of 150 cm (4 ft 11.06 in). The growth is at least 2.5 cm (0.98 in) so he's currently between 152.5 cm (5 ft 0.04 in) and 159.99 cm (5 ft 2.99 in) and used to be between 150 cm (4 ft 11.06 in) and 157.49 cm (5 ft 2 in).)

T/N: The first kanji in Touma (透真) and the first kanji in Akechi/Asumi (明智/明日) make the kanji for invisibility (透明)

(All kanji copied from the wiki except the 日 in the Asumi kanji which isn't there for some reason and took me multiple google searches describing what it looked like to find and you can imagine how stupid I felt when simply putting in "asumi kanji" got me the correct kanji but you can also literally look up "day kanji" and get the symbol by itself, anyway this profile data sheet was definitely the most pain in the ass to transcribe and it was even majorly due to the essay I had to copy about his height that we still don't even know!)

Kento Kuroe - Main Story Walkthrough

With "Can We Start Over?" we got the first of the three new titles that Voltage announced for this year. It actually fits the summer vibe that we have right now compared to the JP release back in April 🤭 Each of the new IPs will be Love Choice (so you get to read for free for the general plot but any kind of cute scene costs hearts). Compared to Plust its not possible to unlock SHE without hearts - just by choosing the correct options - sadly. Additionally, all of the new titles currently seem to have 2 LIs.

In this case we have Kento Kuroe and Ryo Haruki. They are childhood friends of the MC, however they haven't seen each other in ages ever since she moved away. The story starts with MC witnessing her fiancee having an affair with a younger colleague. A similar premise to Kings of Paradise or In Your Arms Tonight :)

However, MC gave up her apartment and job to devote herself to the fiancee so she stands with the back to the wall and flees to her hometown. There she has a fateful encounter with her two childhood friends that now live together in a sharehouse and luckily there's still a free room so the healing journey can begin.

Kento is quite the sweetheart. He seems cold and abrasive but he is a bad actor and has a soft spot for his childhood friend. His intentions are sometimes so hilariously obvious that it's amusing how often MC is clueless about his actions. It's great that Ryo is a great wingman and Kentos comrade in (h)arms, because they both suffer under MCs cluelessness so they support each other. To be honest, they probably might have not ended up together without his nagging because they had such bad timing and both struggled to utter there wishes because they didn't want to inconvenience each other.

It was a very sweet and funny ride and I think especially fans of Taki, My Last First Kiss or Dreamy Days in West Tokyo might quite enjoy the title. While the title is mostly soft it does have its mature moments as well and I think the characters were quite well developed. I wouldn't say that MC does not shine with her personality.

As i've seen a few people overexaggerating the prices i've decided to make a min budget walkthrough where you can get SHE and all CGs for about 136 Hearts. If you buy hearts via their webshop you might get it for about 12-14$.

L-R: TE2 diesel, the O, L and LV types of the steam engines on exposition in the Russian Railways museum at St Petersburg por Cetus13 Por Flickr: The "O" (О) class engine of Russian/Soviet railways was the first basic / standard (that mentioned in the name – Osnovnoy) 0-8-0 class locomotive designed in Russian Empire. It was was produced in great quantity by 12 plants of three countries (Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary) with 9129 produced from 1890 until 1928 yy. It was the first Russian engine that obtained perspective compaund steam machine (in variant of the cross compaund - note the difference of cilinders on each side). Surprisingly, the fuel consumption exceeded that of the previous type Ch of the same 0-8-0 class having simple steam machine so during all production time many attempts to reduce excessive fuel consumption were made. On the other side, the general simplicity, fuel versatility and low axle load (13-14 t) with strong frame made it great for any railways. In addition, the low weight with high power (550-720 hp) was good for armory so it was standard locomotive for armored trains of Red army. The L type of Soviet freight steam locomotives 2200 hp of 2-10-0 class with maximum speed 85 km/h (53 mph) and tractive effort 271.5 kN (61,040 lbf) were developed during WW2 on the Kolomna Locomotive works under supervision of famous designer L.C. Lebedyanski (P type were renamed to L in the honor of the constructor). They were produced from 1945 to 1955 yy in Russia by the Kolomna Locomotive Works (##0001-1000 and 1501-2385) and Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (##1001-1389), also in Soviet Ukraine on the Voroshilovgrad Locomotive works (##4001-5307) with total production 4199 ones. LV locomotive of the 2-10-2 class was the last and more powered variant of L class developed to 1949 y which boiler was increased and frame hardened - general frame elongation and increased weight needed addition of the trailing wheel. The fuel efficiency was the highest but the time of steam engines was going to end so only 522 was built from 1952 to 1956. Also the structural length of LV with original tender equipped with 3-axle bogies was excessive for many railways and turntables so some were used with shorter 8-wheel tender (as seen in the museum).

Project no. 35: the second coming of Gorochu.

Aside from sporting a new design, he's bigger than v1, is more well-constructed, doesn't have extremely messy colour changing on his body, and most importantly--is my actual own pattern (aside from one round for his head that I wasn't sure how to do differently from the base and still work; that's noted below). I'm very happy with how he turned out.

Note: like with v1, you'll need a wire for the tail. For v2, I used both a wire and stuffing... crocheting around the wire, which had to be inserted early on to get through the stuffing, was not what I would call a fun experience, but yannow, there's a reason I saved that part of Gorochu's tail for last.

It was hard not to notice, even at first glance. He had the smile, the confidence and the eloquence of an incognizant sinless guy. Without being pejorative, it was actually quite endearing to see... the way he rarely commented on any girl's feautures, how he skillfully avoided conversations, and how easy, and I mean easy, it was to tease him. He thought it was a secret that he had to keep unknown, but the cabin 10 could never be deceived by an act so poor.

When the youngest teens looked at him with their questions, and we were lucky to be around, we gifted him some firty glances and amused looks to play our part. And he always delivered his, like a smooth ass son of Hermes. He would look away, maybe even wink at one of us, and then kneel in front of the kiddos and say some bullshit conglomerate of words that wouldn't impress any public past the age of 14. Like... seriously not.

And in front of the grownups... he was too much of a gentleman to speak on the matter.

We didn't wanted to push him onto anything. Mainly because we loved the treat of an easy to fluster handsome champion around. But Luly just couldn't keep her hands to herself during a last minute costume designing night. Where they were missed, by the way, the Dionysus kids weren't easy to satisfy when it came to this.

The night ended up fine and we came back laughing under the stars while Chiron was ushing us to go away once and for all.

But there she was, lazily powdering her face when we went back to the cabin. And the smell of perfume could never hide from us the obvious sent of unrepressed lust.

We looked at her in the heaviest of silences, offended and impressed smiles forming on our faces. Her face was almost unreadable.

Luke.

The sweaty air smelled like precision, frustration, detachement and... aloe vera gel...

"Oh, god. He was so fucking boring".

Otogi No Uta Masterlist

This series has like 3 fans so I figured I'd make it easier for people to get into it. The story is told through a series of "movements," CD dramas, and a manga. It also has cute comics, posted on the official Mute Twitter. This list will focus on collecting sources for English speaking fans.

If you don't know anything about the series, you should start by reading this twitter thread by nemuruoogarasu! Feel free to look through the unofficial wiki as well, you can learn a little more about each band and character there. The series is mostly based on the bands and the characters, so pick your favorites :)

After that, listen to some of the songs. I have a playlist compiling them from the official channel here, and I have listed them below as well. There is no specific order you have to listen to them in. Be aware that some of the songs are not uploaded in their entirety, as some have to be purchased through the official drama CDs. The full mp3 files can accessed through amazon.jp.

Story

The story is a bit confusing to follow, and as of writing, not everything has been translated. I will be updating this as often as possible.

Basically, Otogi no Uta is about several bands fighting with special music powers in "Live Battles" against each other. This is in order to obtain "The End," a thing which can grant any wish. Those who posess music powers are called "Utaibito," which could roughly translate to "Melody User," "Musician," or "Music Person" in english (though I left it as is in the manga).

Comics

As of now, most of the comics are untranslated. They don't follow the main plot, and mainly consist of cute and silly interactions with the characters in their mute forms.

Some mute comics have been translated on the wiki, and most of them can be found on the official Mute Twitter. (I ran out of hyperlinks in this post but they are both linked above.) A few have also been translated by me and are at the end of each manga chapter.

There is also a series of short comics from the official website explaining some of the concepts in Otogi no Uta. I've translated them here.

Manga

The manga serves as a backstory for each band and character. You should probably get to know the characters a little through the wiki first so you are not completely lost. Each two chapters go over the backstory of how one of the bands formed and what their goal is and set the group dynamics and personalities.

Also to note, each chapter title corresponds to a song by that band! All chapters have been translated by me.
