I genuinely get a little sad sometimes for the artists who worked on V3 under the time crunch that it had, especially since you can really tell at some points in chapter 6 through the lower quality of the cgs. However. It can also still be incredibly funny sometimes. FOR EXAMPLE:

Hi! I'm in the process of making a danganronpa agere au, and I have the basics of what I want down, basically the school is now a giant nursery for regressors and cgs and Junko and Mukuro found regressing as a coping mechanism and never became the ultimate despair, I know it might not make a lot of sense but it makes me happy! Here are the basics of the characters and their roles! I may edit this as time goes on (also pls keep in mind I'm not a writer so I'm sorry if anything seems off)

Makoto Naegi - little leaning flip, soft regressor with little age around 1-4, kind of a pushover type of carer, lax about rules

Kyoko Kirigi - cg, likes parallel play and is a bit standoffish, gives rules and is strict about them but doesn't punish heavily

Byakuya Togami - cg leaning flip, gives rules and has punishments, handles brats easily, when regressed which is rare, he is semi verbal and easily overwhelmed, little age 0-2

Aoi Asahina - little, little age 2-6, hyper and energetic, loves snacks and playing, is in a romantic relationship with Sakura as her caregiver

Sakura Ogami - cg, gives rules and has appropriate punishments, plays along with her little one, rewards good behavior, in a relationship with Aoi as her little one

Toko Fukawa - little, little age 0-1, very shy and mostly nonverbal, crawls around, always has a paci and nonverbal cards clipped to her

Genocider Syo - flip, little age 3-6, when regressed somewhat independent, gets easily distracted, "no I'm big!", when a carer, she is fun and has no rules, plays with her little ones, takes on multiple littles at a time, a big sib type of carer

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - little, little age 1-5, very polite, stims a lot and gets overwhelmed easily, likes to have rules and a routine or gets stressed, in a poly relationship with mondo and chihiro

Mondo Oowada - cg, cool cg that lets you stay up past your bedtime on weekends, has rules but doesn't punish if they're broken, has two little ones (taka and chihiro)

Chihiro Fujisaki - little, little age 0-3, very soft spoken and shy, wears diapers, has a tangle toy with them at all times, in a poly relationship with taka and mondo

Celestia Ludenburg - flip, little age 4-7, when regressed, likes tea parties and spooky kids shows, is somewhat independent, can be a brat, when in carer mode, she calls her little one pet names, has rules that she's strict about 

Sayaka Maizono - little, little age 2-6, loves singing and dancing, playing dress up, is a "princess" type regressor and sweet as can be

Yasuhiro Hagakure - cg, lax about rules, silly and makes jokes for his little one, older brother type of carer

Hifumi Yamada - little, little age 4-9, likes reading comics and superhero movies, plays pretend a lot, tries to sneak around rules

Leon Kuwata - cg, doesn't have rules, likes to play music for his little one, gets kinda clingy

Junko Enoshima - little and one of the headmasters of the nursery, little age 1-7, very bratty and loves playing dress up and pretend, twin sis of mukuro

Mukuro Ikusaba - flip and one of the headmasters of the nursery, little age 3-10, somewhat quiet and can be a brat sometimes, as a carer she enforces rules and punishments, and has assigned routines for her littles

Monokuma- basically the nursery mascot and just walks around checking in on everyone making sure everyone is safe and happy :)

Coffincest Propaganda (Abusive Dynamics, Codependant Relationship, Incest)

"They're the protagonists of the game who are stuck in quarantine because `the water was infected` though by now this seems to not be true and the government just wants to let some people starve I guess."

"Their dynamic is really abusive with Ashley being possessive of Andrew and controlling his life since they were kids (making him accidentally kill a girl by asthma because she said she liked him, per example), and in the events of the game, convincing him to cannibalize their neighbor when he died to a demon (it's not like the wardens were giving them food sooo). Though Andrew also seems to have some power over her, by the fact that he's the only person she likes and talks to (especially after the quarantine driving everyone else away) and without him, she would be completely alone, giving that little touch of codependency to their relationship."

"Even with all this they're so fucking cute together, the little CG of them kissing at the end of the demo really warms my heart (I was gonna put this one on the image link, but the image I sent now is better, Ashley sitting on Andrew's lap with hickeys and Andrew with scratch marks). Also, nemlei (the dev) said they're gonna be canon on some of the full game's endings."

Despaircest Propaganda (Incest - Junko and Mukuro are sisters, Twincest, Abusive Dynamic)

"What if we caused the apocalypse together and we were both twin sisters😳 It's implied multiple times that Junko's way of showing affection is physical/emotional abuse, and Mukuro is shown as getting off from or at least enjoying Junko's abuse pretty much whenever it happens. They're literally made for each other🖤."

You know what bothers me about "A Man's Fantasy"?

Like. The optional fanservicey CG where all the guys make creeps of themselves is what it is. I don't think you need me to explain why this is kinda gross.

What gets me is that a) it isn't really optional. Unlockable, but not optional. If you have A Man's Fantasy in your inventory, then Makoto will go for it. The item description says that it gives the holder "the courage to seek out a true man's fantasy". Implying that the only reason Makoto wouldn't leap at the chance to peep on Kyoko, Hina, and the others is because he's a coward.

Not because he finds it wrong, but because he lacks the courage to take the leap. As long as he has the courage-granting item, he will make that leap. Taking that choice away from the player and then phrasing it like this means that this is his true desire. It's his character shining through, not your player choice. Makoto is apparently a bit of a creep.

But the other thing is b) the way it describes this as a true man's fantasy. Right here, the item shames all men. It says that every real man would do what Makoto did. This is just raw masculinity shining through.

And this comes right on the heels of Case 2, which was a complex and comprehensive examination of masculinity through the lens of Taka, Mondo, and Chihiro, all of whom are influenced by and demonstrate masculinity in very different ways.

And you know what gets me? Taka, Mondo, and Chihiro all have profoundly different experiences with masculinity.

But I can't imagine a single one of them actually going after the true man's fantasy. Like, technically Taka does, but he's basically catatonic at this point. They're more or less carrying him around like a cardboard cut-out. I don't think that counts.

So that really makes me have to wonder: Creeping on women is a true man's fantasy by what metric? Because we just had a whole-ass chapter dedicated to the experience of manhood and it wasn't about this at all.

(Also, the true man's fantasy is made even more ironic by the fact that the person who even comes up with the idea of peeping in the first place is Junko Enoshima trying to be one of the boys.)

after hinata's little "riding my mind surfboard to figure out i'm a terrorist" moment, naegi confirms to the group that they are indeed all members of shsl despair. he says the future foundation initially rescued them not knowing this, but later uncovered the horrifying truth (basically confirming what was heavily implied by the emails earlier). the survivors of course are all shocked, including hinata, and protest this — they got to learn a bit about shsl despair while investigating this chapter, they know the group is responsible for horrifying war crimes, and naturally they don't want to accept that they could be part of such an evil organization. naegi says no, it's all true, and goes on to deliver a little monologue about how shsl despair is utterly devoid of humanity, completely lacking in morals, seeking only to kill and burn and torment and destroy, etc etc. then he says komaeda probably did what he did because he found out about shsl despair after beating the final dead room. hinata's prompted to explain to the group what komaeda was trying to do and we get a particularly difficult hangman's gambit for which the solution is "kill us all."

as the survivors continue protesting that they can't possibly all be terrorists, naegi tells them that it only feels unbelievable to them because of the memory wipe. they don't remember anything that happened during their time at hope's peak, but back when they were in high school they all fell under the influence of junko enoshima. they've been placed into the neo world program to restore them to the way they were prior to her "tainting" them, but, naegi tells them, in real life it's different. in the real world, all of them are terrorists who destroyed their families, their friends, and even their own bodies. hinata insists there's no way any of them would do that and naegi snaps at him not to turn away from the truth — and when he says this, hinata suddenly gets an image in his mind of komaeda with junko's hand attached to his wrist. it's the same CG from chapter 0, confirming hinata to have been the unnamed narrator of that chapter.
