2, 3, 7, 20, 27, 28, 29, for the rwby ask game? If you don't mind!
2. Rank the soundtracks
From favourite to least:
V1
Not a single track I don't love. Forever iconic, each and every one.
V5
Ignite is my favorite Yang song, as is Path to Isolation for Weiss. Smile is such a tragic song of showing Ilia's parents telling her to cope by smiling, by hiding, to the present where it's twisted into an angry mantra and she's still hiding who she is in a different way. The Triumph feels like such a comeback song with how high energy it is, all our girls heading back to each other, jumping back into the fray. All that Matters is PEAK bumbleby pining angst song. All Things Must Die is glorious, and tbh I think even This Time is pretty underrated as a song for Blake/the White Fang.
V7
I find myself relistening to this one a lot. Trust Love is my favorite OP (and yes that is in part the refrences to the Little Prince I can draw). I also like Touch the Sky and Brand New Day as these kind of recovery songs for all the characters that had been at their lowest or feeling lost finding their hope and confidence, happy in themselves. Let's get Real is a song that DID get me into Renora a little, it's a bop. Was over the moon to have an Oscar song in Fear that encapsulated the theme of the volume and complimented Ozpin's fear speech. Hero makes my brain go AAAAHHHH at how it captures the hubris of Ironwood. Such a great tragic downfall song for his character. Until the End is a great listen and such a lovely surprise to have a Ruby song after so long. War is a certified banger and a great song for the RWBY vs Ace Ops fight.
V9
In fairness I don't think I've listened to this one enough, but the more I do it definitely grows on me. Inside feels like the most unique OP, Checkmate is catchy as hell, Trapdoor makes me INSANE as a Ruby spiralling song. Pleasantly surprised to have a Jaune song in Quiet that's very moving. Worthy is beautiful as a Bumbleby confession/kiss song, truly magical. As a whole I feel the songs lean into being more gentle and introspective as to the usual hardcore rock ballads we know RWBY for, even Checkmate with it's jazziness feels fresh and new. I haven't actually listened to the Edge or Guide my Way enough to have an opinion on them, but I remember liking them, Guide my Way is a nice continuation and evolution of the Red like Roses song trilogy.
V3
When it Falls is SO HARDCORE. Bleeding edge and tragedy for the death and destruction to come. I'm the One is fantastic at laying out Emerald and Mercury's trauma's and subsequently coping mechanisms. Neon is one I like to listen to a lot, it's so fun and upbeat. Divide is brutal and chilling as the song to introduce us to our main villain after seeing her for the first time in all her dark glory at the end of V3. Not Fall in Love with You is... eh. It's my Turn is a good Weiss song, but it's not one if my favorites.
V6
I really like Rising as an OP, it feels the most... magical? fantastical? idk. I like the vibes. Indomitable is what I feel like singing all the time in wake of the recent RWBY news! We really are indomitable! Nevermore as a true triumph over Blake and Yang's trauma at Adam's hands, while acknowledging the tragedy of Adam's own situation. And Big Metal Shoe is a certified banger, love all the fairytale references crammed in there. Miracle is... fine. One Thing is a great song for Neo's return and revenge quest, but I never bought into the Neo hype so I'm kinda mid on it too.
V2. SACRIFICE I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER PLEASE REPRISE IN THE SHOW LATER WITH CINDER PRETTY PLEASE. Now it's Time to Say Goodbye is an incredible banger of an OP, but it felt a little misleading considering it's a song all about losing innocence and leaving behind childhood, which feels more appropriate for V3 and the FoB than V2. Shine, Dream Come True and Boop are all fun and cute but I'm not hugely into Arkos or Renora so I'm kinda neutral on them. I'm also kind of mid on Time to Die as a song.
V8. Honestly this is just the soundtrack I find myself listening to or remembering the least, even though I really like Friend as the perfect Penny song that had me tearing up, and Truth, while short was a great bittersweet song for Cinder. And it was nice to get a Nora song too. The opening for this volume never really grew on me like all the others did (aside from the "some ROSES WILL NEVER BLOOM, SOME HEROES CHOOSE THE WRONG SIDE"). I also just associate this soundtrack with fandom arguing a lot about what song applied to who and it felt exhausting.
3. Favorite Ruby ship?
ROSEGARDEN ALL THE WAY BABY!

7. Favorite lines I already answered for @hoepunkausta
20. What are you looking forward to seeing in Vacuo?
*vibrating at a frequency unknown to man* idk I think a reunion hug between Ruby and Oscar would be neat maybe. Like @aspoonofsugar has pointed out all the set up at the end of the extended epilogue points to these two having a second alchemical wedding and so their relationship having a certain amount of focus/development in Vacuo seems apparent. After so long of not seeing them onscreen together I'm excited for any interactions honestly. I miss my kids.
Wanting to see WBY all trying to support Ruby more and her actively trying but still struggling to open about how she's feeling. More of what see saw with Ruby/Yang in the Boba episode. I'd especially like Ruby and Weiss to have a heart to heart.
Very curious about what Theodore is gonna be like and whoever the hell the Summer maiden. With the Dorothy allusions and those who've lost their homes trying to make one in Vacuo, I'm expecting an exploration of "there's no place like home" to be leant into.
RAVEN. TELL US WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT MISSION WITH YOU AND SUMMER. RUBY AND YANG DESERVE TO KNOW. For real though I'm hoping we see what lead Raven to rejoin the fray too, and how she'll interact with Yang and Qrow and even Ruby, what tension might be there. Delicious family drama....
Speaking of delicious family drama, the Schnees! all reunited! I want Winter and Whitley to tackle hug Weiss to the ground! Also the Schnees appear to be being confronted with all the harm their family and company has done in a kingdom like Vacuo, so I'm curious to see how Weiss handles that. Also Winter is clearly Not Doing Good, so something I'd really like is if Weiss (as her sister) and Ruby (as a friend of Penny and someone she also offered the maiden powers too) and maybe Jaune (who was there with Penny in her final moments) offer comfort to her and they all grieve together.
Emerald. Honestly suprised we didn't get much of a sense of how she was doing in the extended epilogue, not even briefly like Mercury. But I'm super excited for what her arc holds. Seeing her integrate with the group, if Ren, Nora and Oscar are already on friendly terms with her but RWBY are all still a bit wary of her because they've spent less time together. Seeing more of her friendship with Oscar develop (gimme that Little Prince/Fox allusion with their friendship in taming each other pretty please) and like. Mercury. Emerald KNEW Mercury and Tyrian were being sent to Vacuo, she saw him off in the ship, but Ren seems suprised to see him and Tyrian on the cameras in the epilogue. Did Emerald... not tell them? Even though that's incredibly important information that could help her new allies? Because... she wanted to protect Mercury? Because she still feels conflicted? It's incredibly juicy and I can't wait to see how Emerald and Mercury's relationship comes into conflict during the Vacuo arc. Gimme that Emercury angst pretty please.
Vacuo in general. By virtue of the books I think they have the most interesting world building, the food, the culture, the different words for weather phenomenon, the fauna, the nomadic tribes, the history of being a once incredibly beautiful oasis full of everything they needed, then exploited time and again and left with nothing and yet still surviving and carving a home and life for themselves. The world building of Vacuo is one that is inevitably tied to the story because of their fraught history leading to tensions between them and all the refugees from Atlas, Mantle and Vale seeking their aid and shelter in their kingdom, not to mention the Crown seeking to restore the monarchy, it'd be easy for them to be divided and conquered by Salem, and so our heroes have to find a way to overcome that and bring everyone together. So just getting to see the kingdom animated and learn more about its history and culture would be cool. I also like desert punk aesthetic, so I'm hoping whatever new outfits our girls get will have a little of that. (part of me hopes for maybe some Trigun inspiration... we've had Gurren Laggan inspiration in Yang's outfits before!)
I would also say I'm looking forward to seeing my darling cringefail wife Cinder but I don't know if she'll be in Vacuo or with Salem in Vale wrecking shit.
27. Favorite voice performance?
AARON DISMUKE AS OSCAR HANDS DOWN. Him being the VA for Oscar meant I was destined to like him, I usually do with characters he voices. The fact he has to also voice Oscar when controlled by Ozpin, and sometimes Oscar pretending to be Ozpin, and completely nails the subtle differences in all of them is phenomenal. And as the merge progresses he's literally having to mix and merge their voices together too!!! It's crazy!!! The awkward and shy intonation becoming a more sincere and quiet confident voice as Oscar develops, and gaining Oz's mannerisms in speech with a deeper and more serious tone. That is some crazy talent this man has.
Always impressed with how well Linsay Jones and Miles Luna hold up in earlier volumes, they've consistently been the best voice performances from start to present. Also Cherami Leigh as Ilia is absolutely fantastic, it's rare I've heard her get to flex her emotional range like that in her voice work for such a complex character.
28. Fairytale character you'd want to see RWBYfied?
With how character songs are a big thing in the show and semblances that can hypnotize and mind control exist, and instruments sometimes being weapons (gestures to Flynt), I'd love an allusion to The Pied Piper or the Lorelai Siren as a villain of some kind. Bonus if you had a Little Mermaid/Lorelai Siren allusion for that victim/monster/hero duality RWBY likes to play with.
Not technically a traditional fairytale but also very much one, the Last Unicorn, one of my alltime favorite books would be beyond amazing to be alluded to, even a tiny bit. Amalthea the unicorn being the last of her kind, the rest hunted down by a wicked beast at the order of a tyrant. She is associated with silver, the moon, hope and purity constantly. A story that is both a love letter and deconstruction of fairytales, an exploration of the nature of humanity and mortality. Tell me that wouldn't be perfect as an allusion to a Silver Eyed Warrior (also thought to be a myth) trying to find out what happened to the rest of her kind.
29. Favorite opening to sing along too?
TRUST LOOOOOVVVVVEEEE AND OPEN UP YOUR EYESEESSSSS TRUST LOOOOVVVVVEEEE THE TRUTH IS THERE BUT SOMETIMES IN DISGUISE

A WILD EDDIE FENDER APPEARS! His theme is a certified bop and it's only been thirty seconds in! DID YOU JUST CALL EDGEWORTH MANFRED HUH??? His facial recognition must be nonexistent, but I will admit it was a decent shot by proxy.
Alexa play Enchanté by Dirt Poor Robins. AND HE SAID THE THING! THAT'S THE DOUBLE WHAMMY OF A SONG RECOMMENDATION AND THE TITLE CARD IN ONE SENTENCE!
This one guard is super enthusiastic, I live for his energy. Name a more iconic nameless background character, I'll wait. AWW THE PRISONERS GET THERAPY ANIMALS! Oh shit here comes the possible murder weapon: ze dog. EDGEWORTH STOP STARING AT IT SO COLDLY AND MAYBE IT'LL LIKE YOU MORE!
THIS GUY'S GOT A POLAR BEAR HANGING ONTO HIM AWWWWW! Oooooooohhhhh he snitched! OH GOD THINGS HAVE ESCALATED TO THREATS OF VIOLENCE-
VERITY AND EUSTACE ARE ON THE SCENE! Was not expecting Verity to sound so religious; she's dedicated to seeing justice as a god, which should be very interesting. AY WAIT DON'T KICK US OUT WE MAY'VE WALKED THE LINE A BIT BUT HEY WE DID A GOOD THING IN THE END! In other news, Eustace is a loveable doofus already. Can't wait to add him to my collection of beloved prosecutors, which is all of them.

kmk evermore, lover and midnights (yes we're in fact moving to albums)
Ok ok. The last 2 are kinda tough but I can handle it.
Kiss Midnights. I will always go to bat for her and she’s my 3rd fave album.
Marry Evermore. My beloved fave album and I’ll always defend her. Her haters just haven’t been in the right mood for her yet.
Kill Lover. She’s my 4th fave so she’s never gonna beat the other 2. She’s my icon though and every track (except the archer) is a certified bop and the haters are just slow to get on the hype train. That’s all.

Jen Tortures Herself With Every Dreamworks Animated Movie Ever: Madagascar
Tumblr media
So I haven't seen this movie in years, even tho I used to watch it all the time as a kid. And let me tell ya'll.. it's even funnier than I remembered it being! Like seriously, I think they strained any opportunities for humor out of Shark Tale and put it all into this movie, because I honestly think it might even rival Shrek 2 as Dreamworks' best comedy (so far at least).
So what's the story? Marty the zebra, Alex the lion, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe life at the Central Park Zoo, until Marty has himself a Midlife Crisis and through a series of comedic disasters (involving a certain group of iconic Penguins), lands the squad in the wilds of Madagascar. Chaos ensues and its some of the funniest chaos Dreamworks has had to offer (again so far).
Tumblr media
The characters are all great here. There isn't a single one of them I didn't like. Marty is a goofball, who genuinely has some really solid moments of friendship with Alex, who definately has the most Dramatic Conflict in the movie thanks to his carnivorous instincts coming out. Melman and Gloria are also pretty great (I swear, Melman's whole hypocondriact thing got some of the biggest laughs from me), and so are the Penguins (they don't get a lot of screen time, but they shine when they do) and King Julian, who is probably the funniest character in the damn movie, and that's saying something given this cast.
Tumblr media
The animation leans into the comedy so well, with a lot of rapid movements and insanely well-timed slapstick. The highly stylized character designs lend themselves well to that too, even if I think there were a few frames where they looked... a little uncanny as a result. The soundtrack is also really solid! A lot less pop songs this time around, but the few that are there fit really well into the story (I Like to Move It Move It is a certified Bop by the way, fucking fight me).
Tumblr media
The story itself works really well. It's simple, tightly focused on developing its characters, and that's really what I like to see! It really hones in on the friendship between Marty and Alex especially, and the dynamic they have is a really fun one to watch play out. There were a few moments of actually compelling drama too, especially heading into the third act.
Something interesting about this movie is that I think its the first Dreamworks movie to not really have any actuall villain? I mean sure, there's the fossa, but they're not really characters, more just an obstacle that needs to be taken care of in the final climax above all else. Instead, the plot is driven by conflict between the main characters, something that I think is really fresh for a Dreamworks movie. It's also, aside from Prince of Egypt, the second Dreamworks movie to not be driven by a "because woman" plot, so that also shakes their usual formula up really nicely.
Tumblr media
As a whole, Madacasgar is great! I'm very surprised its not more ingrained into meme culture, because it has the kind of humor that I think really appeals to everyone. Check it out if you haven't, cause its a very solid start to the second of Dreamworks many, many ongoing series.
Overall Rating: 8/10
Verdict: Eat Ass Everyday

Please vote for which song you think is better! If you haven't already, make sure to listen to both songs under the read more before voting.
Propaganda is encouraged, but please do not be negative towards the other song in doing so. This is meant to be a fun tournament! If you write propaganda in the text of your reblog (rather than in the tags), I will likely reblog it!
P.S. you still can send in nominations for the round 3 second chance spot!
youtube
There is no tomorrow for TxT's Lovesong, as Mr. won round 1 match 30! No Eclipse can last forever, as Mr. demonstrated when it won over Kim Lip in round 2!
This song, despite being originally promoted in Japan, is a certified Kpop bop! It's upbeat and full of the members' energy, and will surely make you want to dance! (I can't find an MV of the Korean version, sorry!)
youtube
Taemin won in a landslide victory in Round 1, with his song Move-ing on over Blackpink! And in the Taemin-VS-Taemin battle during round 2, most voters Pressed the button for this song instead of Press Your Number!
Move is Taemin's most viewed MV, and with his seductive voice and suaveness, it's no wonder why! And come on, that chorus choreography is among the most iconic in Kpop.

Today's compilation:
Now That's What I Call Music! 7 2001 R&B / Hip Hop / Dance-Pop / Pop / Teen Pop / Alternative Rock / Pop-Rock
Hey, gang, it's time for another look back at some of those early 2000s, with this spoonful of top 40 and radio nostalgia, provided by the most pervasive compilation series that the US has and will probably ever know, the one and only Now That's What I Call Music!
So, let's first set the mood right with an ad for this particular release, shall we? And, by the way, when you order it by credit card or check/debit, you'll also receive a Now sunglass case absolutely free! Wow!! 😲😎🆒
youtube
So, this seventh installment of Now actually appears to represent a pretty significant change for this whole series, because, for the first time, with this highly popular enterprise that had been pretty much aimed exclusively at kids, the executive decision was finally made to *really* let hip hop in. See, prior to this album, the first six volumes of Now had only ever included a total of *three* rap tunes on them: Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life," Mystikal's "Shake It Fast," and The Rugrats Movie theme, "Take Me There," by Blackstreet and Mýa, featuring Blinky Blink and Mase (and if you wanna be charitable, there was also Limp Bizkit's "Nookie" too, I guess). So, with a pretty glaring omission of a very popular genre such as hip hop, those releases made for predominant blends of mostly teen pop, adult contemporary, and radio-friendly alterna-rock. And that no doubt still yielded a solid reproduction of hits from the conglomeration of labels that agreed to join forces and put out these CDs and cassettes in the first place, but they were also pretty clearly somewhat incomplete too.
But with this album, things were starting to shift around a bit, and rap was getting its due at the expense of less alterna-rock, and since the boy band wars were coming to a close, slightly less teen pop as well. So, on this seventh volume of Now, we finally see five songs that could be categorized as hip hop: Nelly's "Ride Wit Me;" Mystikal's "Danger (Been So Long);" R. Kelly's "Fiesta Remix," which featured Jay-Z and Boo & Gotti; Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind;" and The Neptunes' remix of the Backstreet Boys' "The Call," which featured Clipse. Clearly, a very big and sudden change here.
But of course, there was still some teen pop, alterna-rock, and a whole lot of R&B to surround all this newly introduced rap music too. And no tune among them happened to go any harder than Destiny's Child's' "Survivor," a song that took the group's criticisms and jokes made about their own personnel turnover to task and ended up resulting in the most ferocious and intense single that they'd ever made; an absolute, certified, string-frenzied banger that you can cathartically wallop a punching bag to 🥊😤. Beyoncé's entry is just so electrifying on this one, and the chorus' constant background chants of "What?" à la DMX, are super infectious too.
And following that one, in order to calm things down a bit, was Janet Jackson's relaxed dance-pop smash, "All for You," which goes on a little bit of a disco tip of its own, thanks to its sampling of those rich keys from Change's "The Glow of Love," a 1980 song that, just two years prior, had also been famously sampled by UK dance duo Phats & Small for their own enormous global house hit, "Turn Around." And to bring all of this full circle here, guess what the name of Phats & Small's debut album was that included that "Turn Around" tune on it? Now Phats What I Small Music! 😮
Also, who could forget that socially conscious and gratuitously gritty portrayal of impoverished single motherhood, "What Would You Do," by New Jersey one-hit wonder City High, that also happened to be a total singalong bop and managed to climb all the way up to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100? And it had that iconic, completely unexpected beat change on its bridge to Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode" too? Huh?!? A pretty essential entry for one of those 'Only Y2K Kids Will Remember These Songs' kinda list, though, I think.
And yet, despite the fact that 2000 and 2001 had clearly produced a lot of quality mainstream hip hop and R&B tunes, the most played song on American radio in 2001 was still a rock track. And, absurdly, it was that inescapable piece of soft and tamed post-grunge, "Hanging by a Moment," by Christian contemporary band Lifehouse. Certainly a fun one to listen back to and reminisce on, but in hindsight, it also happens to sound like pretty damn generic garbage 😅. And the ridiculous Eddie Vedder/Scott Weiland/Scott Stapp vocal affect definitely didn't help things either. How did we all just sit there and, not only tolerate, but fully embrace that gimmick for so long?! It's so bad!
And last, but certainly not least, on this album is American Hi-Fi's "Flavor of the Weak," a super catchy tune that, along with SR-71's "Right Now," really seemed to presage that whole Warped Tour-branded deluge of safety scissors-power pop-mall punk that was on the way. That pair of similar singles would come out in the latter half of 2000 and hit big on Billboard's alternative chart, and then acts like New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, and Avril Lavigne would all soon achieve fame over the next couple years. And as stupid as it was, you have to admit that the "too stoned; Nintendo" line was actually also kinda perfect!
So, a bit of a different excursion here with this seventh volume of Now. And maybe it was a little risky too, to change the formula in order to include a whole lot more hip hop on it, especially when plenty of parents were still very averse to allowing their kids to listen to the genre. But those fears were most likely assuaged when the numbers started rolling in: #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, the series' highest opening week in sales at 621,000 copies sold, a triple-platinum seller, and their first installment to hit Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart too, managing to peak at #3. Volume 7 was one of the series' biggest commercial successes to date, and it clearly proved that the hip hop was certainly capable of helping the series move some serious units 🤑.
Another terrific trip down memory lane here, courtesy of this extremely popular series 🥰.
Highlights:
Destiny's Child - "Survivor" Janet Jackson - "All for You" Samantha Mumba - "Baby, Come Over (This Is Our Night)" Jennifer Lopez - "Play" Backstreet Boys - "The Call (Neptunes Remix W/ rap)" 3LW - "Playas Gon' Play" Nelly feat. When looking at the Gokushufudo tag I haven't seen anyone mention them so! It's up to me ig to remark upon what great additions Yukari and Sakai are to the cast. Like, obviously we all love Himawari, she's precious and hilarious and does a good job at both being her own character and encapsulating all the various child characters Tatsu comes across in the anime (and, presumably the manga but. I haven't read it because I saw that the fan translations died out because of the official ones so ig I'll just wait for them to catch up or something idk), but. Yukari is a completely new entity as far as I could tell, and Sakai is like... A combo of the cops and the anime nerd, and both of them are fantastic characters too!!!
Just. Kinda wanted some more acknowledgment of how fun they are to watch to be out there, so I decided to do it myself lol
Also: I genuinely love how they made Yukari and Masa mirror Miku and Tatsu, even if the latter's story was a bit... Rushed? Still a whole lot more than what we got in the anime (and from what I read, the manga doesn't seem to delve any further into it either). It was really cute and I'm very much rooting for them!!! Yukari's fucking great, she just does not give a fuck about anything and it's incredible lol
And having a police officer who became one because of Policure (or like? Neopolice in the live action ig but. Fuck that, it's Policure forever in my heart because the mock OP they made for the anime is genuinely incredible and the song is a certified bop) is a stroke of genius, he's also just. So funny, like. Him and his partner present such an unflattering image of cops and it's glorious, they're so much fun and I love how the show just has like, the three clans: the former Yakuza, the housewives, and the cops... And how they all get together for drinks after the hijinks resolve themselves. Truly a wild city to live in
Also, idk if I'm gonna make another post about this so I'll just include this here as well even though it wasn't the point of the post: finally seeing Kuma-san Bears when I legit thought they weren't gonna be in it at all after the six first episodes were without them was so cathartic for some reason lmao, I love them they're such goofballs and their name is just. Iconic. Idk if they're coming back but I hope so, their recurring nature is like. Kinda the point so!! Hoping for some more Kuma-san Bears!!

Outside of the 3 original princesses, do you have any Disney favorites? By that I mean favorite character, favorite vocal performance, favorite song, favorite movie, etc? (Apologies if you have answered these questions before.)
Yes, I have many, many, many! I'll also exclude The Little Mermaid, as the original four princess movies are equally my favorite but! For more broad answers:
Favorite character: since i always talk about female characters, i'll switch it up and do a male character! hercules is my entire heart
Favorite vocal performance: again i'm going to try to say something that isn't obvious but i think 'my own home' from jungle book is captivating and kathryn beaumont is a certified genius
Favorite song: i bring you a song from bambi makes my heart smile and is the essence of romance imo
Favorite movie: hmmm i like so many like fantasia, bambi...but perhaps fun and fancy free??? ichabod toad? i really don't know, i like so many
But also, just for general appreciation:
pinocchio is a BEACON of light and so fascinating. i love the rich european setting and the original colors- especially the use of red- and the blue fairy is genuinely captivating. i love the realistic characterizations and the artistry is unsurpassed imo
fantasia's fairies might be the peak of filmmaking for me and i love the inclusion of classical music.
dumbo is so heart warming and i love the emphasis on his mother even though it makes me cry and i think pink elephants on parade is a bop and i love the way they included it in fantasmic
bambi is GENIUS, as i mentioned above i love the song so much but i really just think it's the spirit of filmmaking and is so real and authentic and i think it'll survive as a film until the end of time
fun and fancy free has really great water animation and cloud scenes in the bear segment but also mickey and the beanstalk is so much fun from start to finish
melody time has once upon a wintertime, which makes it have merit as a film, and i looove frances langford's voice
the adventures of ichabod and mr. toad gave us katrina and brom bones and FOR THAT i salute this film. i love the music and the old american town and like the halloween influence and the mansion and just. everything so much about it. it really is like feeling the crisp autumn air. i love the miniature scale homes of the animals in the toad segment- it's so comforting
alice in wonderland. just everything about it
peter pan - where do i even begin. the music is a religious experience, marc davis's work on tinker bell's walk is LEGENDARY, but also i was sooo intrigued by the mermaids and their design as a child. it's the high point of the film for me. i love love LOVE kathryn beaumont's wendy and mrs. darling is so dear
lady and the tramp is a movie that's so cozy- i absolutely love the smalltown american vibes and the moment with the spaghetti is iconic for GOOD reason
101 dalmatians deserves to exist for anita and anita alone
sword in the stone is a film i loved as a child. madam mim was fun to me and she freaks me out now, though i do love her attractive form, ngl i kinda think kay is cute, and i LOVE archimedes and merlin is a top disney character for me
the aristocats ALL the female characters <333
robin hood gave us lady kluck is one of my top ten characters of all time. she gave us everything and she has yet to receive her flowers
winnie the pooh is cute
the rescuers has such an intriguing voice in miss bianca and, again, the miniature animal homes are comforting to me. i love how underground and gritty it feels
the black cauldron is an amazing experimental film that is sooo gorgeous
beauty and the beast is worth it for me because i love mrs. potts, i love the bimbettes, i think adam is intriguing, and gaston is a fav
pocahontas has one of the best soundtracks but also can we talk about NAKOMA
hercules maybe has top 5 art but also hercules as a character is someone i love so much it makes my heart physically hurt :(
mulan- i love the connections people make with her and shang being bi is pretty much is everything
princess and the frog gave us a wonderful design for tiana

So here's my first impressions of the new STRAY KIDS album, 5-STAR:
Hall of Fame: great opening song for this album, it really sets the mood.
S-Class: dope asf, I really fw the chorus.
ITEM: my dad's personal fav. He said it reminded him of classic American rap.
Super Bowl: I'm sad it wasn't about the NFL :( it will however pop into my head when I get KFC. Also it gives big NCT 127 energy.
TOPLINE: a banger. The backtrack is fire asf.
DLC: it's like a nihilistic dance party anthem.
GET LIT: it's kinda mid for me. I still enjoy it, but it feels...off to me.
Collision: I've already added it to like, 4 playlists. A certified bop.
FNF: a sweet sounding song that reminds me of the summer of 2012. Nostalgic and classic.
Youtiful: actually made me cry. I needed to hear this song today.
THE SOUND: Iconic.
Mixtape: Time Out: it's giving 2000's teen movie morning montage..
Overall I really like this album :3

Top 5 favorite game series based on the quality of the OST?
heyoooooo, tough question this one :P
5) Metroid. Most games don't have an OST that you can easily bop to, and they have to be enjoyed in game, but the creepy ambience helps the player immersing in the game even more. (also it has some bops too :P)
4) Ace Attorney. The complete opposite: every game is a bop machine :P I don't know how to describe AA's style, the music is simply very fun to listen to no matter the soundfont and the composer. It has some poignant tracks too!
3) Megaman. Ace Attorney on steroids. With multiple subseries, each with their own style, and a general "cool" direction, every game knows how to squeeze the most of every console's soundchip, no matter if it's 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, or CD quality.
2) Castlevania. When nearly half of the collective tracks were composed by certified genius Michiru Yamane, you know you have some real gems on your hands :P although I must insist she's absolutely not the only composer that made this series' music so iconic, everyone who has worked on this series delivered (yes even Soshiro Hokkai of HoD fame, come at me :V). You can go from awe-inspiring choir and organ pieces to absolute bangers, sometimes in the same game.
Sonic. How can I even describe Sonic music? From new jack swing, to pure rock, to jazz, to orchestral, and anything in between, it rarely misses and almost always delivers something special, to match the sheer eclectic tone of the series. Sure, it may have lower lows than CV (or at the very least, I don't enjoy every OST), but it has spectacular heights and I just appreciate the sheer variety in the series - there' something for everyone!

Kylie Minogue - My Oh My (With Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo) ♏︎ ♊︎ ♍︎
@ Rhys Ayr-Cullen (11/07/2024)
🌟OMG, Kylie fans, buckle up because the pop goddess herself has just dropped a brand new single, "My Oh My," featuring the sensational Bebe Rexha and the ever-fabulous Tove Lo! This banger, released through BMG, is the anthem I didn't know I needed, but now can't live without. 🎤✨
After a week of tantalizing teasers from this dream team, the wait is over, and "My Oh My" is finally here! With Kylie’s signature "la la la" charm, a thumping bass that hits right in the feels, and playful, catchy lyrics, this track is an instant dance floor classic. And let's not forget, it's produced by the legendary Steve Mac, whose magic touch has graced hits for Calvin Harris, Little Mix, and Ed Sheeran, to name a few. 💥🔥
But that’s not all, Kylie stans! Mark your calendars for July 13th because our pop queen is returning to the UK for her first live show of the year, headlining BST Hyde Park in London. This isn’t just a concert; it's a celebration of Kylie's unparalleled career, with a setlist that's sure to include some of her greatest hits and maybe, a sneak peek of what's to come. Can you feel the excitement? Because I'm already buzzing! 🌳🎶
2024 is shaping up to be another monumental year for Kylie. Following the massive success of her Number 1 album, "Tension," and the global phenomenon that was "Padam Padam," she's unstoppable. This year alone, Kylie has snagged the Global Icon Award at the BRITs, a Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording, graced the Met Gala with her presence, completed a dazzling Las Vegas Residency, wowed at WeHo Pride, and released the electrifying "Midnight Ride" with Orville Peck and Diplo. 🌟🏆
Let’s not forget Kylie's extraordinary career stats: over 80 million records sold worldwide, five billion streams, nine UK Number 1 albums, and countless awards, including four BRITs, two Grammys, and two MTV awards. She’s the ONLY female artist to score a Number 1 album and Top 10 singles in five consecutive decades in the UK. Truly iconic! 👑🎉
Joining her on "My Oh My" are two powerhouse artists. Tove Lo, the Sweden-born, LA-based sensation, has been slaying the music scene since her platinum-certified debut, "Queen of the Clouds." Her latest album, "Dirt Femme," and recent dance EP, "Heat," with SG Lewis, have been on repeat for us! And let's not forget Bebe Rexha, the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated superstar who’s been dropping hit after hit, including her latest bop, "Chase It (Mmm Da Da Da)," which she previewed at Coachella. Bebe's been dominating the charts with tracks like "I’m Good (Blue)" and "One In A Million" with David Guetta. 🎤✨
"My Oh My" is more than just a song; it's a celebration of pop excellence, a testament to Kylie's enduring legacy, and an undeniable hit that's going to be the soundtrack of our summer. So, what are you waiting for? Hit play and let’s dance the night away! 💃🕺
