Coolio featuring L.V. - Gangsta's Paradise 1995
"Gangsta's Paradise" is a song by American rapper Coolio, released on August 1, 1995 from his second studio album. Interpolating Stevie Wonder's 1976 song "Pastime Paradise", "Gangsta's Paradise" features vocals from American singer L.V. who served as a co-composer and co-lyricist with Coolio and Doug Rasheed, with Wonder also being credited for the composition and lyrics. L.V. released a solo version of the single in 1996 on his debut album, I Am L.V. This version featured additional lyrics written by L.V. himself, with rap lyrics written by Scarface and Dani Blooms. "Weird Al" Yankovic's parody "Amish Paradise" reached number 53 on the US chart.
The single reached number one in the US, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand, making it Coolio's most successful single. In Australia, the song stayed at number 1 for 14 weeks, a record that would only be broken 22 years later by Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You". Following Coolio's appearance on Celebrity Big Brother 6, it re-entered the UK singles chart peaking at number 31. In the UK, "Gangsta's Paradise" was the first rap single to sell over a million copies as well as the first rap single ever to go straight to number one. In the US, the single spent twelve weeks in the top two of the Billboard Hot 100, of which three were spent at number 1 and nine at number 2. The song was certified triple platinum by the RIAA on February 23, 1996, indicating 3 million copies sold. It has sold a further 1.9 million downloads in the US in the digital era as of September 2022. Following Coolio's death on September 28, 2022, "Gangsta's Paradise" debuted two days later at number 5 on the UK Official Singles Sales Chart Top 100, and reentered the Official Top 100 Singles Chart on 7 October 2022 at number 55.
In 2008, it was ranked number 38 on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop". Coolio was awarded a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance, two MTV Video Music Awards for Best Rap Video and Best Video from a Film, and a Billboard Music Award for the song/album. The song was voted as the best single of the year in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics' poll. The accompanying music video for the song was directed by American film director Antoine Fuqua and featured Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her earlier role as US Marine LouAnne Johnson in the movie Dangerous Minds. The video also includes scenes from the movie. The video hit one billion YouTube views in July 2022.
"Gangsta's Paradise" received a total of 92,1% yes votes! 🎉

So I Watched Bucchigiri?!... (My Review)
Tumblr media
(Before you proceed, I'll assume you watched the show but honestly you can still read it since i will limit the spoilers for those who want to watch the show)
1.First Impression/Why did i Watched it?
Youtube Ad victim (yes you read that right), the clip showing a mixture of throwing hands and humour looked interesting and fun.
Tumblr media
(this crunchyroll ad above) IM NOT GONNA LIE, I 100% WATCHED THIS SHOW BECAUSE OF OUTA TAHIDE'S FINE ASS IN THE AD (CLICKBAIT VICTIM).
2. Story (5/10)
Laconic: A Red Aladdin style genie demon have a 300 year old beef with his blue boyfriend so now a lame loser high schooler maxs his stats and have to fight but dont get it twisted CORN ADDICITON WILL PREVAIL!
ehhh... Trashcan come to the podium. The biggest issue of this show are the plot points & certain characters motivations/personalities (ehum, Arajin. Ehum, Mahoro). Some are gear grinding when they appeared on screen. I'm not gonna dig too deep but the story sounds good on paper but when you add the unsufferabble MC, everything falls down the drains (Matakara should have been the MC).
Tumblr media
I understand this is supposed to be a funny show but some tropes fall flat and are aggravating at best. Honestly Arajin & Mahoro are eating up most of the points for this categorie (get the lame simpery and mincest out of here). Other characters and the storyline as a whole did their thing regardless of the cliché they carried BUT ITS HARD LOOKING PAST THE BAD.
3. Characters (9/10) (THE BEST PART)
Tumblr media
Before diving deeper, Bucchigiri is a mid show with AMAZING & GREATLY DESIGNED CHARACTERS. Aside from my thirst for Outa, I've looked up other characters before watching the show anf their designs are really good (MAPPA delivered). Which is why i'm disappointed to see them mishandled like that.
Also y'all couldnt have another female character to balance out Mahoro? (please omfg)
3.5. Simplified Characters Impresssions
Tumblr media
MATAKARA(LEFT): Welcome back Suzaku Kururugi! ARAJIN (RIGHT): Walking Trashcan, Weirdo Simp from the deepest part of the abyss & Certified Mean Girl.
Tumblr media
KOMAO (LEFT): My Ray of Sunshine (Is that a skirt and some dreads? SLAY!) ZABU (RIGHT): Min Yoongi (Suga)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MARITO: Mahito (JJK) + Boutarou the Pirate (Golden Kamuy) + The Pink haired dude from Sk8 the Infinity. OUTA: Some tanning slipped into the Manwha Male algorithm.
THEM TOGETHER : 2025 MatchaBlossom (sprinkle some crack over it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JABASHIRI (RIGHT): So this is where Zabuza went after dying... Justified Hater of the MC (i stan with him) btw bro a hard head makes a soft ass... HAGURE (LEFT): Under heavy protection, Jabishiri should have beat you up for how you did him during the fighting tournament. I Knew you couldnt fight but i love you anyway... THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE DUO I CANT LIE (or ship i guess).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ARAJIN'S MOM (LEFT): Emotional Wincest Boy Mom MAHORO (RIGHT): That one sided bro/sis wincest in anime. GOING TO HELL IN A CASKET.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not gonna say more.... (Nanami your boy is tweaking)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CAT DUDE (LEFT): Kiba Inuzuka's arch nemesis + Ouran High School Host Club KEN (RIGHT): Tekken/Street Fighter Character + King of Rule34
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well...
Tumblr media
4. Watching Experience (5/10)
Yall know i will never complain about a 12 episodes anime (shout out to GANGSTA) but this serie would have benifited from more episodes with the story it was trying to go for. Because it really gave EASILY FORGIVEN and lets all dance around the campfire (wait arent yall opposite gangs or we dropping it and merging together?!.)
Like ive said the MC slowed down the watching experience because i had to actually leave and come back to later due to being so pissed off.
5. Do I Recommend?
As crazy as it sounds, i do recommend it. the 12 episodes will not take too much of your time and these characters a worthy of being love and appriciated to the fullest (the fanart is kinda dry).
In a way this series is a win for me regardless my complaints because the fights are cool as hell and its really showed me how to make great characters regardless the setting. I can see how this show could be a banger to others and it definetly can.
FINAL REVIEW (5/10)

N.W.A. "Straight Outta Compton" 1988 US Hip Hop (Top 100 Hip Hop Albums of the 1980's) (500 Greatest Albums Of All Time Rolling Stone)
full spotify
The debut album by N.W.A, "Straight Outta Compton" is now best remembered as the pioneering record of gangsta rap; with its ever-present profanity and violent lyrics, it helped to give birth to this then-new sub-genre of hip hop. It has been considered groundbreaking by music writers and has had an enormous impact on the evolution of West Coast hip hop. "Straight Outta Compton" redefined the direction of hip hop, which resulted in lyricism concerning the gangsta lifestyle becoming the driving force in sales figures. It also helped to shift the power to the West Coast from the East Coast, which had enjoyed a period of prominence in hip hop for most of the 1980s. Despite not being a success at first and the lack of airplay, "Straight Outta Compton" sold over three million copies, thanks to the hits "Straight Outta Compton", "Gangsta Gangsta" and "Express Yourself". The album itself reached number 37 in the Billboard Top 200 in the spring of 1989, while it reached number 9 on Billboard's Top Soul LPs. The original version of "Compton's N The House" was only to be found on the Eazy-Duz-It / Ruthless Villain / Radio cassette single; it was not pressed on the 12" vinyl version of the single....~ “You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge.” And so begins one of the most influential Hip Hop records of all time. N.W.A., aka Niggaz Wit Attitudes, was led by Eazy-E, but features the iconic producers, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella and Arabian Prince, and lyricists Ice Cube and MC Ren. Self-styled as “the world’s most dangerous group,” ‘Straight Outta Compton’ not only depicts the violence, brutality and racism experienced by those living in the L.A. suburb of Compton, but it threatened to incite it. N.W.A. took the bourgeoning subgenre of Gangsta Rap and made it their own. The production is groundbreaking and the flow of the music is astounding. In a retrospective review, Rolling Stone said that it’s a "bombastic, cacophonous car ride through Los Angeles' burnt-out and ignored hoods," and I couldn’t have said it better myself. Incidentally, upon its release, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ was the first rap album ever to receive a 5-star review from Rolling Stone. Smashing through the gates with the title track, it’s a take-no-prisoners affair, before being smashed in the face with one of the great modern-day protest songs ever, ‘Fuck tha Police.’ The song protests police brutality and racial profiling, and unfortunately it’s still relevant to say, especially in the US. My favourite story about this song is upon its release, triple j had been playing it regularly (swearing is allowed on the station). A senator protested the song, which led to the ABC banning the station from playing it. In protest, the station went on strike and played third single from the record, ‘Express Yourself,’ on repeat for 24 hours. But the biggest middle finger from triple j in all this was that they sampled the scratching from the song and used it in their news jingle effectively playing a part of ‘Fuck The Police’ on air multiple times a day. Highlights of the record include the aforementioned ‘FTP’ and ‘Express Yourself,’ as well as ‘8 Ball,’ ‘Parental Discretion Iz Advised,’ ‘Gangsta Gangsta’ and ‘If It Ain’t Ruff.’ It was the first platinum-certified Gangsta Rap record, and would eventually go on to sell 3x Platinum, helped along by the biopic in 2015. It was the first Rap record to be inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame and it has also been included in the National Recording Registry by the Library Of Congress.....Rolling Stone......~

Warren Griffin III (November 10, 1970) known professionally as Warren G, is a rapper and record producer who, aiding the G-funk sound, assisted West Coast rap’s 1990s ascent. In 1990, he formed with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg.
Topping his seven Top 40 hits the 1994 single “Regulate,” his duet with Nate, was a massive hit. Earlier, despite his teenage jailings in his California hometown Long Beach, having pioneering gangsta rapper Dr. Dre as an older stepbrother, and having standout lyricist Snoop as a groupmate, he took a unique path into the rap subgenre G-funk’s success. His debut album, Regulate... G Funk Era, debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200chart, selling 176,000 in its opening week. The album went on the sell over 3 million copies in the US and was certified 3x multi-platinum. The single “Regulate” spent 18 weeks in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, with three weeks at #2, while “This D.J.”, reached #9. Both songs earned Grammy nominations.
Three songs from his second album, Take a Look Over Your Shoulder, reached the Top 40, as did his 1998 duet with Nate Dogg, “Nobody Does It Better”. Both Take a Look Over Your Shoulder and his next album, I Want It All, were certified gold, the last of his albums to attain certification. His 2001 comeback attempt, The Return of the Regulator, failed to reach his earlier heights despite a star-studded collaborator list, and he was criticized for undermining his strengths by trying to exceed them.
His next two albums, 2005’s In the Mid-Nite Hour and then 2009’s The G Files, released independently, were self-produced. In the 2010s, he experienced a resurgence in popularity amid the digital age. In 2015, he released Regulate... G Funk Era, Pt. II. In 2017, “Regulate”, platinum since 1994, went 2x multi-platinum, propelled by digital downloads.
He has six children with his wife, Tenille Griffin (1998). In April 2021, his son Olaijah was signed by the NFL’s Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent.
In 2019, he launched a line of barbecue sauces and rubs, Sniffin Griffin’s BBQ, for retail and restaurant supply. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

On August 26, 1997, the renowned rapper Coolio released his third studio album titled "My Soul."
This album marked his final collaboration with Tommy Boy Records and featured a blend of West Coast hip hop, gangsta rap, and G-funk styles.
Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as his previous albums, "My Soul" was certified gold by the RIAA and included hits like "C U When U Get There."
The album's production boasted contributions from several producers, including Romeo, Vic C., Bryan "Wino" Dobbs, and DJ I-Roc, and it showcased Coolio's versatility as an artist.
The album's legacy continues to be celebrated, with a 25th-anniversary edition released on October 28, 2022.

Even the devil is an angel and an angel is a devil . Just like nine roots is 3 but sometimes being irrational six has both 2 & 3. Let's just say one is polar and one is bipolar. Which one is it . This is just twisted like red vines and backwards like the moon walk...I'm just thinking technical no royalties . Don't be vein!!! This is just words from a messenger you love to hate. But to honest it's like night and day , black and blue, solidarity is sometimes rare like being able to break the code cycle as you read on "laughing @ pre-20." Something You Never Should Do.
