Can you tell us which of the canon kids has the Lannister look or the Arryn/Targ look?
I find the combination of silver hair with green eyes beautiful, so was wondering if any of them got it?
Cerenna — Green eyes, silver hair
Tommen — Green-Blue eyes, gold hair
Daella — Violet eyes, gold hair
Rodrik — blue eyes, gold hair

@publiusmaximum reblogged your post “What might hypothetically happen if a Lord...”
House Lannister is in a bit of a bind in the near future:
Cercie refuses to wed (and thus have legitimate children) again.
Lancel and Jamie are part of celibate knightly orders.
Tyrion is an attainted traitor.
Tyrek is missing.
Tommen is alive... But he's not a Lannister King, he's a Baratheon King.
Who does that leave for when Cercie dies without a new legitimate child? Martyn, I guess? Or one of his kids?
House Lannister is looking at extinction in the near term. Unless I'm missing something.
Oh, I’m not worried about the continuation of House Lannister. You’re certainly right that the line of Tywin (legitimate, anyway - again, hi Dancy and Marei) may well be headed for extinction: Cersei’s doom has been long prophesied (as has the doom of her children, even if they were considered legitimate), and I don’t love the odds of Jaime or Tyrion surviving the series (much less having legitimate children of their own). However, Tytos’ other (male-line) grandchildren are a bit of a question mark: again, I agree that Lancel is permanently out of the running (and, I think, not long for this world anyway), but the ultimate fates of Martyn (Kevan’s son, last mentioned by Genna as a possible replacement groom for Amerei Frey in the newly Lannister-sponsored holding of Darry) and Janei (Kevan’s toddler daughter, presumably still with her mother Dorna in the westerlands), as well as Tyrek (missing, but I think too often mentioned to be left as simply an open mystery) are as yet unknown. And that’s without mentioning the female-line descendants of Tytos Lannister via his only daughter, Genna: assuming any of them survive the series, such Lannister-Freys could make a claim on the basis of their relation to Lord Tytos (as Genna herself predicts might happen with Riverrun, if Robert Arryn would be tempted to make a claim to the holding of his maternal Tully grandfather).
And all of that is only discussing Tytos’ (legitimate) line (which of course excludes Joy Hill, the bastard daughter of Gerion Lannister). Tytos’ younger brother, Jason, has quite a few descendants around in the era of the main novels, from both his first marriage to Alys Stackspear and his second marriage to Marla Prester (not counting, once again, his own bastard daughter). Indeed, Jason has at least two living male-line grandsons today (Damion, the son of his eldest son, Damon (who himself might still be alive), and Daven, the son of his son Stafford), as well as a male-line great-grandson (Damion’s son Lucion). Nor indeed does this count include Jason’s other sons by Marla Prester (and whatever children they may have or may have had), or Jason’s female and female-line descendants (such as his other two daughters by Marla (and whatever children they have or may have had), Daven’s sisters Cerenna and Myrielle, and Damion’s daughter Lanna, with Jast sons of her own).
And that is only going to the (known, legitimate) descendants of Lord Damon Lannister, the “Grey Lion”. We don’t have a Lannister family tree beyond Damon, and while F&B certainly added more Lannisters, there is nevertheless a definite gap between young Lord Loreon Lannister (who is about 10 when F&B concludes in 136 AC) and Lord Damon Lannister (who was lord around the turn of the third century AC). There could be any number of Lannisters of Casterly Rock out there that are simply beyond our scope of knowledge for the moment.
In the words of Catelyn, “The Lannisters of Casterly Rock were a damnably large and fertile house”.

who: @dicmcnds ( cerenna lannister )
where: new valyria
the news of exploit of the arryns was astounding to the youngest lannister. over the amount of historical books that she read, she knew of the many attempts on the targaryen dynasty. however, it made her wonder if her pride would be next. the thought of something to her family caused her heart to swell at the thought of losing the ones nearest to her. lapses in judgement seemed to dwindle as she rubbed her eyes, lelia had spent another night of uninterrupted reading throught the many hours of night. she stifled a yawn once again, looking up as she felt somebody approaching her. “sister, what has awoken you this early?”, she asked her elder sister.

Spirited, vibrant Rohanne Tully had never met a challenge she could not conquer. There was not a tree she could not climb, there was not a river she could swim, there was not a target she could not hit and there was not a single person she could not charm.
Not a single person... save for Jaime Lannister, her husband, who happens to be in love with his twin sister.
By all rights, she should hate him. His secret has trapped her, and threatens to destroy their entire house. But she knows that beneath all that horror is a hero; a man who is both beauty and beast.
Rohanne always did like wild things.

If Tywin was to remarry after Robert's Rebellion, what do you think he would look for in a bride?
Hi! This question is a little hard for me because GRRM said that Tywin didn’t want to marry again after Joanna’s death.
Like, on a Watsonian level, I think it’s an integral part of Tywin’s self-image as a knight / husband / lover that he not remarry. Tywin remarrying is as unthinkable to me as Tywin just walking away from House Lannister.
And on a Doylist level, I think Tywin rejecting love and refusing to connect with anyone else after Joanna’s death is meant to be a direct foil to Tyrion’s great desire to love and be loved. (We also see this idea in Dany and her many loves, as well as Jon’s love for Ygritte, his interest in Val, and (probably, eventually) Dany. But Tyrion is the most relevant foil in discussions of Tywin.)
And Tywin not remarrying perfectly encapsulates all of his weaknesses and myopia and blindspots, like his certainty that Jaime is still his heir despite the Kingsguard, and his obsession with blood purity, and his hypocrisy. So I feel really strongly that Tywin not remarrying is central to his character. (Ditto for no romances after Joanna’s death.)
But if you’re asking me to set all that aside, I guess it would depend on what Tywin hoped to accomplish through the marriage. Why in this alternate timeline is Tywin looking for a bride? That will determine what qualities he’s looking for.
If it’s merely to forge a strong alliance, perhaps the widowed Olenna Tyrell might make a good bride. If for no other reason, I would find such a match entertaining.
More seriously, ultimately I think Tywin would be looking for alliances, the potential for more heirs, prestige, personal accomplishments like playing the high harp that add prestige points, being well-bred, that type of thing. I don’t think that anyone would ever be able to compare to Joanna in Tywin’s eyes, so I think the individual woman herself is irrelevant to him. Tywin … just doesn’t … view a lot of people as, well, people, because his very nature is to dehumanize people. One non-Lannister woman is much the same as another with this kind of philosophy.
The main thing to consider would be what she could give to him, not whether she could make him laugh or whether she had pretty eyes or what have you. As long as she wasn’t … like … hideous, or had some other obvious flaw that would detract from her prestige points.
If Tywin means to marry to produce another heir, considering the blood purity thing that GRRM has mentioned, Tywin might look to another one of his cousins or nieces. Perhaps Margot or Myrielle or Cerenna, depending on their ages and availability.
If blood purity isn’t an issue for Tywin’s new union, he might look farther afield, either to the daughters of his bannermen, or the daughters of a prestigious House outside the Westerlands. Again, it depends on what Tywin hopes to accomplish in the marriage, when exactly the marriage is taking place, etc. He has to maintain a careful balance of power in the Westerlands, so he might chose to marry someone from outside like Janna or Mina Tyrell, if they’re available. However, a Lannister-Tyrell marriage might have been perceived as a threat to Robert’s fledgling reign, and Tywin doesn’t want to destabilize his daughter’s throne, so that probably won’t work.
A Redwyne daughter would certainly be useful in light of Balon’s Rebellion.
Selyse Florent might be interesting to consider for a bride. Jon Arryn arranged a powerful match for the Florents as a message to the Tyrells not to get uppity, and a Lannister-Florent match would telegraph that message well enough.
If Tywin is willing to go with a woman from a non-contiguous kingdom, there are other possibilities. Tywin’s a racist, so Dorne is out. Perhaps a woman from the Stormlands, but we hear about so few Stormlander women that I couldn’t name any prospective brides off the top of my head. A Manderly cousin might be interesting.
But there isn’t really anyone who stands out to me as this is the woman Tywin should marry, post-Rebellion. Because Westeros isn’t real, I don’t have a social register of all the eligible debutantes and bachelorettes with their names, ages, and appealing qualities, and without such data, I find this kind of spitballing frustrating.
However, I’m not very good with AUs, so maybe I’m not the best person to ask. You might try asking someone like @goodqueenaly, who is great at analyzing marriage alliances, or someone like @cosmonauthill, who is very inventive when it comes to AU ideas.
I’m sorry, I’m sure you were hoping for a better answer. But I’m just not that good at AUs. Sorry sorry sorry

Naerys: Who's the baby, Cerenna?
Kid Cerenna: Daella!
Tyland: And she is?
Kid Cerenna: My doll!
Naerys: No, sweetling, she's your sister.
Kid Cerenna: She can be both!
Adorable.
Though, avoiding too much spoilers, I don't think the age gap would be wide enough for it.

In ASOS Tyrion III Tywin says he couldn't find a bride of high enough status for Tyrion after asking the Martells, Royces, and Hightowers. But couldn't Tyrion have married one of his Lannister cousins (say Cerenna or Myrielle) without it causing much of a scandal? Did Tywin just decide not to do this out of spite for Tyrion?
I don’t think it’s coincidental that when Tywin was shopping around for a wife for Tyrion, he was still looking for the best possible, and most politically potent, prospects around - the Martells (the rulers of Dorne), the Royces and Hightowers (the second most powerful Houses in their respective regions, and ancient royal dynasties to boot - and, for the Royces, a family he could use to establish Lannister influence in the Jon Arryn-ruled Vale), and as a last resort Delena Florent (still from a very old, very blue-blooded Reach family - and, importantly, a family whom Tywin could detach from any loyalty to Stannis Baratheon, or Robert’s bastard son, by a Lannister marriage). Could Tywin have commanded/intimidated one of his Lannister cousins to give up a daughter for Tyrion? Maybe - but how would he have advanced Lannister political interests that way? Tyrion may have been the least of the Lannisters, in Tywin’s eyes, but he was absolutely a Lannister, and like all the Lannisters was going to be used by the family machine (which is to say, Tywin himself) to better the family.
