Oldfield from the 90's on flaunted his influence. Voyager was another example of that, he tried to reclaim the sounds that many took from him during the 90's and he wished to warn us he was there first. While we can debate about the latter, the truth is he was one of the early adopters of the Celtic soundscapes. However, his work on Voyager doesn't reach his previous work in this vein. We can actually see this LP as him showing the proof of his older pieces in the form of the original ones, but he overshines them in order to compensate for him being taken over by his students. Still, Voyager serves as the reminder that Mike Oldfield had the right track in the 90's, he just couldn't stop cleaning that one too much.

the quality got absolutely demolished, but it’s Saint! I wanted to try my hand at a traditional Celtic style of drawing animals, and since Celtic animals usually have these big tongues I thought it would work well for good ol’ frog scuggo. I tried to turn Saint’s ascension symbol into a Celtic knot, so hopefully it’s still recognizable. :D

Billy loved rain.

The heavy, earthy feel of it. The way the clouds went dark. The smell.

Steve was surprised at first. Billy was so adoring of California, surfing, glorious sunshine, that there was no logical reason for him to love being cold and damp, covered in waterproofs.

Spending some time with Billys grandparents made the love make slightly more sense.

The first thing Steve had learnt when Billy invited him to Inverness was that it rained all the fucking time.

Having a family who were mainly from Italy and Syria had not prepared Steve for just how wet it was going to be. He immediately caught a cold and spent most of the time hoarding blankets like some kind of house based dragon.

Billy was having a fantastic time.

He took the rain completely in his stride, leaping in puddles with his little cousins and collecting leaves he found on the ground. He’d also insisted on buying what he lovingly called a deep fried Mars bar, which was surprisingly delicious.

If his partner was loving it so much, Steve could give it a go too.

The leaves really were beautiful this time of year.

Maybe Steve could learn to love the rain too.
