Essential listening, Babies.

I cannot emphasize how formative this record in particular (and the Firesign Theater guys in general) was, as well as seeing all the Monty Python episodes on PBS, and watching all the Python films as they came out, all of these...all were essential to my sense of comedy and humor. Robin Williams' stream of consciousness style came after these guys.

The "Nick Danger, Third Eye" old radio show program parody that is "Side 2" on the record is a MASTERPIECE of current-events comedy. There is an entire shtick built around a coupla songs on the Beatles' White Album...it's pure gold.

The Nick Danger side also has great fun with the old Foley Artist sound effects. "If you're so smart, why don't you pick your cues faster? Better get 'em up out of the celophane before they scorch!"

Hell, I could go on…LISTEN!

Ma la cosa che mi ha stupito in negativo è che c'erano più commenti denigratori femminili del tipo "manco la farei annusare qualora esca uno con questo lenzuolo"

"Siete ipocondriaci,io non me la farei mai leccare così"(ironico come quando nei commenti le chiedevano se il corrispettivo lei lo faceva con cappuccio o senza,ha sviato dicendo che non ne faceva ma riceveva)

Ora,alla fine del pippone sociologico mi chiedo: ma dato che il problema della sessualità e della salute è così trasversale, qual'è il motivo?siamo bigotti ed è colpa dell'educazione cattolica?odiamo le malattie come la povertà,quindi facciamo finta che non ci possano mai colpire?siamo pigri in culo e irresponsabili?

Mi viene voglia di avvolgermi io nel celophan e non uscire più onestamente,questa è gente pericolosa che potrebbe mandarti in ospedale e poi dirti sorridendo "eheheh ma io che ne sapevo",oltre a danneggiare il sesso perché piuttosto che un rapporto decente e di comunicazione praticamente ti ritrovi scelte monche o malattie o "grazie ciao torno a casa che ho un dolorino alla schiena sai?alla prossima".

Ah dimenticavo che nei commenti per fare comunella si alludeva al "eh ma io le tipe di bologna le evito quindi sto apposto", perché alla fine va sempre buttata sulla politica e sulla retorica, perché certi elementi sono bulli e votano a loro volta dei bulli.

Ma dopotutto questo siamo,"un popolo di santi,poeti,navigatori",reazionisti un po' bulli e bigotti.
