For those who have watched / read Nanbaka, I always had a question if anyone could answer it. Remember how in Season 1 ep 4 the prison had the New Year's tournament? They said Hajime won the tournament the year prior, but cell 13 (Uno, Rock, Nico and Jyugo) had no idea about the tournament, meaning they hadn't been there that long. And it's mandatory for each building to have a cell to represent them. So what cell did Hajime compete with against the others?! It's been literally confusing me for a good while

YURRRR !! went to da movies earlier today so i kept imagining specific nanbaka characters in like cinema situations :P cinemations...cinetuations...?? YEAH-

rock is finding a way to smuggle in an outrageous amount of snacks. bro's got candy in his sleeves and chips in his pockets. originally only brought them for himself but ofc the rest of cell 13 beg him for a bite and he lets them cus thats just who he is. despite how much food he brought in he still finds himself missing the beginning of the movie bc he couldn't resist the heavenly scent of overpriced popcorn

nico is a slushy FANATIC. mixin' all the flavors, dumping candies in it n shit. totally the kid in the back of the movie theater slurping the last drop out of the cup hella loud when a quiet, tense moment is going down in a film. hajime's annoyed but stares daggers at anyone who tries to shush him. NICO'S FAV SLUSHY FLAVOR IS THE RED CHERRY ONE !!

uno, bless his heart, is absolutely the person who tries to predict the movie's plot before and during it. and the bad part is he's usually right. also the kinda guy to be scarily good at guessing what the characters are gonna say next lol

jyugo actually likes the movies more than you'd expect. always pockets the 3d glasses just cus he thinks they're cool and he likes that he can spend time with the rest of cell 13 without a heavy focus on talking or interacting. it's also a bonus that it's dark and he can sleep if he gets bored

it took FOREVERRRR to drag tsukumo out to the movies. hc that he's a much bigger fan of media without human actors in it because it reminds him less of his past, so the movie he went out to see with the rest of them was definitely animated. also likes the dark because it makes him feel stealthy, but he has a bad habit of stepping on each and every piece of popcorn or puddle of nacho cheese in the aisles...also insists on using the photo booth whenever he does hit up the cinema cus despite it all he still really likes getting his picture taken

yamato volunteers to wait on the snacks and carry them in while everyone goes ahead to take a seat in the theater. previews end and the movie is 15 minutes in but he still isn't there. everyone thought it was because the food was taking long to come out, but it's just because he forgot which theater to go to and kept circling until hajime and seitarou found him. prolly has trouble locating which seat to go to on his own cus he finds the letters and numbers confusing and hard to see in the dim light (totally not projecting)

seitarou has perfect movie etiquette and tries to get everyone else to follow his example, usually to no avail. his only problem is that he's too considerate of others and thinks he's being impolite when he's really not. the type to take the smallest bite of his food and tiniest sip of his drink so he doesn't disturb anyone. the kind to walk all the way around to the other side of an aisle because he doesn't wanna ask someone to pull back their seat for him to pass. poor guy, he even double-checked to see if his phone was on do not disturb and got shushed because his brightness was all the way up </3

andddd hajime. he's usually the sponsor for these outings since yamato literally can never find his wallet and seitarou doesn't have the heart to tell the others not to drain his bank account by buying ever concession there is. he doesn't let the inmates go wild with snacks and makes sure they behave properly while in there. uno tries to get the inmates to sneak over to another theater and catch the next showing but hajime catches them and makes them pick up the teensy bits of food they left on the ground. he's also the one who has the final say on what movie they actually go to, and even though he says he checks the ratings and plot beforehand because he "doesn't want to watch a shitty movie", it's actually because he wants it to be worth everyone's time and appeal to all of them at least a little bit. dadjime for the win <3

What would Cell 13 want in a Christmas stocking?

Jyugo is someone who actually really likes stockings. He prefers them to actual Christmas gifts and it’s the part of Christmas he’d be the most excited for. He likes seeing all the little surprises inside his stocking. In his stocking, he doesn’t really have any particular desires for this or that. He likes having it be a true surprise…well, that and he has a real hard time figuring out what to ask for or what he would like. He does really enjoy when there’s small puzzles or brainteasers in his stocking though. Despite the fact that he solves them pretty easily, he finds them entertaining. He’s not good at them, but he likes vintage handheld video games. One time he got a Gameboy Colour and a couple games in his stocking and he got a lot of joy out of that. He likes having practical things in his stocking too, since he’s not really great at thinking of getting himself things like shampoo, conditioner, soap, and such. He’ll often run out and then forget to buy replacements, only remembering when he goes to shower and finds himself still missing those things. He does like ribbon candy and small toys, stuff that his child self never really got the experience or fun of playing with.

Uno plain up tells everyone what he wants in his stocking, just so that there’s no confusion and he can be certain he’ll get what he wants. His ideal stocking has new playing cards, preferably with some kind of cool picture or design on it. He always needs new chap-stick, and he’ll be over the moon if it’s a really good quality one. The fancy conditioner he prefers for his hair is wonderful to get too. He wants hot cocoa packets in there too, the fancy flavoured kinds that come out around Christmas time. Some face masks and new nail polishes would be nice as well. If travel-sized games can fit into his stocking, he’ll also really enjoy those.

Nico gets so excited about opening his Christmas stocking. He’ll wake up at three in the morning, tear it apart, marvel and gawk at all the stuff before he manages to fall back to sleep for a couple hours before getting up for the bigger presents. He really does want his stocking tailored to his interests. Since his feet get really cold in the winter, fuzzy winter socks are a must for his stocking, but other than that, he wants his favourite candies, plus a Shonen Jump in there. He’d love finding a DVD of an anime he’d been wanting to try out too. If he gets a colouring book in there, especially if it’s anime related, he’ll be so happy and he will spend hours dutifully and carefully colouring in each picture in the book, either with crayons or pencil crayons, which should come in the stocking as well.

Rock is more than fine with his entire stocking being food related, with the only exception being that he wants a toothbrush in there as well, along with dental floss and mouthwash. Good dental hygiene is important to him and he really does try to take care of his teeth. He likes getting sweets and a big bag of beef jerky in his stocking. He’d be cool with receiving some magazines he enjoys or a DVD of one of his favourite cooking shows in the stocking as well, something like Hell’s Kitchen or Chopped. He really, really loves Chopped.

A Menace that plagued my mind for past month — The Beheaded!!!

Sir, are you aware that you're a Menace?

He ended up slightly taller than I intended bc I kept playing around with proportions but I'm not gonna go back on that and change it now.

He has alt heads bc ofc he would — blank, star and round eye, plus two sizes of flame. Initially I tried to make eyes fully interchangeable separates but failed to make it reliable bc of small scale. So I opted out to stick them on with scotch, and make alt designs with eye added directly on the head (another alternative — googly eye >.>)

My color choices are in reference to that cool figure, Poisoned one (and obv bc I have only so many filament colors). Not 100% sure with some of them buuut whatever, its done!

About outfit: some of my choices were made specifically with real pants in mind, that's why I didn't bother searching for more realistic leg alternatives. Also obviously the fact that I used fabric means that there's less range of motion where it gets in the way, mainly knees. But I consider this a fair trade bc it looks cool AF! Also tying all those wraps was NOT EASY!! (they became abit loose after handling so I had to redo them several times x_x)

Mods I made: -flame was edited to be solid, added neck cutout, added eye variants -changed shape of arm a little, original was even more buff (if someone would want him to be absolutely ripped, that would be the choice, haha) -changed proportions of chest armor to balance out arm bulk -made abdomen frame longer for better joint mobility (honestly, my solution isn't perfect, there are couple of places that would benefit from sanding but at least its done and working) -made legs longer to balance out longer torso and arms -edited feet to match new proportions -made pauldron from scratch -made Balanced Blade from scratch -edited Dagger -edited Frantic Sword

��That said I have my concerns about the fact that I used fabric for pants. Unlike with Drifter, this one required alot more sewing in a very small scale. Should I like.. include pants pattern with this mod... Would that be Weird for printing site… And Im not really interested in writing sewing instructions as for me personally most of it can be summarized in "keep your stitches small, its all very fiddly". But I do have experience in miniature sewing and some random person online probably wouldn't?????

No, thank you very much! I’m loving all the requests you sent and writing for the cell 13 idiots (said very lovingly) is always a lot of fun for me. I adore these boys and how silly they all are together, and I hope that shows through in this post 😊

Imagine your Ocs taking a group picture for their holiday greeting cards.

Who is giving directives on how to pose?

It’s definitely Uno, let’s not even kid ourselves. He heard the idea of taking Christmas card pictures (possibly even came up with it himself, in my mind after receiving an early Christmas card from an ex that he wants to send one in return to) and latched onto the idea immediately. He threw himself into the idea wholeheartedly, planning things, thinking over all the little small details, running through a bunch of different ideas and themes in his mind. He’s the one most into the whole thing and he wants everything to look just like he pictures it in his head. He takes over. He’ll grouch at the others not to make weird faces and he’ll instruct them on what to wear, how to pose and all the little things. However, he’s not entirely selfish about the whole thing – while he’s definitely thinking about how to make himself look good in the picture, he picks poses, outfits, and coaches the others in ways that ensure that each one of his cellmates will also look good, even cool, in the pictures.

How do they pose?

Uno makes them do a variety of poses, so that they can have lots of options to choose from for the finished product. He does one of the standard poses, that of having them all laying down, with the face propped in their hand while they lean on their elbows. He has one where Rock’s standing up straight, hands on his hips, very tall, with Uno half-standing in front of him, pulling out the peace signs. In front of Uno, Jyugo’s on his knees, deadpan expression on his face while pulling out the same peace signs. In front of Jyugo, Nico’s all curled up and sitting down, beaming happily. There’s one where they’re all leaning in, arms around each other’s shoulders, Uno and Rock on the ends and the ‘kiddos’ in the middle – it took them a long time to get that one, as people kept tipping over or stumbling or complaining. The one they end up going with has Uno pulling what he thinks is a ‘hot guy’ pose, Rock standing straight, one hand on his hip, the other giving the camera a finger gun, grinning happily, Jyugo kind of slouched over and kind of smirking towards the camera while also looking towards Uno, and Nico half-jumping in joy, hands raised in the air, grinning as if Santa had just given him all the gifts. It was one that Uno felt best got across all their own individual personalities and let them all look good (though he still, in his mind, looks the best).

Who ruins the picture by making faces?

It’s not so much that he ruins the pictures by making faces, but Jyugo ‘ruins’ so many potential pictures by just not…doing anything with his face. It’s pretty blank and expressionless in a lot of them, or he’s just not looking at the camera, or he’s plain out facing away from the camera in a couple of them. There’s even a couple where his face is doing something – sneezing, blinking, or talking – that instantly disqualify those takes from being used. Uno definitely gets a little frustrated because he really can’t believe that it’s so hard for one person to take even a single decent picture.

Who keeps saying ‘WAIT I’m not ready’ until they find the perfect angle?

Given my first answer, is it any surprise here that I’m going to say it’s Uno again? He’s the most invested in the picture, plus he’s a little vain, so it really matters to him how he will end up looking in these pictures. He likes to think he knows his ‘good sides’, he knows the best angles, he wants to be ready, he wants to make sure his face looks good and not weird in any way. He’s going to call a halt to the picture being taken at least fifteen to twenty times during the whole photoshoot, at the very least. Sometimes the other boys will call a stop right before a picture is taken, because they’re uncomfortable with how they’re standing or they have to sneeze or they want to be posing another way or they think Uno is getting too bossy and they need to put him in his place (or they’re hungry and want a snack in Rock’s case).

What are they wearing? Are they matching? Is there a theme?

There is definitely a theme…once it’s decided. As mentioned, Uno has a bunch of different fun themes in his head and all kinds of things that he wants to do. It takes him a bit to narrow them down…or should I say, there’s a couple that get narrowed down for him. There are some themes that the others are just very much ‘fuck you, not happening’ on and there’s some that Hajime just plain out shuts down. What does Uno mean, he wants Hajime to get them all festive Christmas themed, perfectly tailored suits? Out of what budget? Most of them are broke ass bitches. Because of that fact, and because it’s pretty much the only idea that Uno could at all talk the others into, they do ‘ugly Christmas sweaters’ and match that way, though each boy gets their own choice of what ugly Christmas sweater they’ll wear. Nico wears something like this, Rock something like this, Uno something like this, and Jyugo wore this because the other boys thought the lights would make him seem more interesting.

Who shows up in something other than the agreed upon outfit?

I do think that it’s Jyugo. He’s not really into the dressing up thing so he did initially just end up coming to the photoshoot wearing what he always wears. He doesn’t fight too hard when the others force him into his Christmas sweater. He’s really not against it, not that much. He just doesn’t really get the point of it, but when it becomes clear that it means a lot to his friends that he wears it and matches them, he’s not going to keep fighting it.

Who is the most reluctant to be in the picture?

None of the boys are really all that reluctant to be in the pictures. While Uno is the most excited about them, Nico quickly gets excited about them too, Uno’s enthusiasm being contagious. Rock’s pretty into the idea and even though Jyugo is mostly apathetic towards the idea, he enjoys doing things with his friends. It’s Hajime who is the most reluctant to allow this plan to go forward and he really only gives in when it becomes clear that it’s going to be far less of a headache to just find a way for this to happen and be wrapped up quickly.

What is written on the card?

This was sincerely the hardest part. Uno wanted something cliché, cheesy, and kind of flowery. Nico wanted something anime themed and cutesy. Rock kind of preferred something simple and Jyugo felt like he couldn’t make a decision. He hates ending up having to be the tie-breaker. It was a game of rock, paper, scissors that decided it and since Rock won, it ended up being a simple message – ‘Happy Holidays from Cell 13! Have yourself a holly, jolly Christmas!’

What background do they choose?

Again, there was a lot of ideas for backgrounds and so many great options that it really took a while to narrow down on which one to use. It’s actually Seitarou who ends up making the final decisions, when the four of the boys couldn’t really agree on one and he did it during the editing phase, without any of the boys knowing. Their background ended up being this one!

Who do they send the cards to?

Uno sends it to his ex-girlfriend, the one who sparked the idea. Other than that, it gets sent to the other cells in their building, as they’re quite good friends with most of them and to each of the guard’s and their families. Nico sends it to Upa and his cellmates, while Rock sends one to Shiro and Liang. Jyugo ends up sending one to Musashi and Mitsuru snags one.
