What makes the ceasarian chipher weak?
You are very likely to guess the key if you have a stab at it 23 times, so it is thus vulnerable to a Brutus Force -attack

26. What advice would you give your great grandchildren?
Joan Clementine Rodriguez was my firstborn great grandchild.  Because Mount Auburn Hospital near their home was filled to capacity in the Obstetrical department they were sent on to Cambridge City Hospital.  Anne had a very long and tiring labor and after many hours Joan was delivered by Ceasarian section.  The hospital was very noisy and Anne felt certain she would get more rest at home.  She was dressing and I was holding Joan.  Both Joan’s grandmothers, her aunt Nicky and her Dad were present.  Then the most frightening thing of my life happened.  Joan began screaming and then jerking, rythmic,  movements of her arms and legs.  The staff was summoned and the doctor informed us all that Joan had suffered a grand mal seizure.  She was placed in an isolette and rushed by ambulance to Tufts Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit.  Her Dad went in the ambulance and we followed in cars.  Her care was swift and intensive.  She was immediately connected to equipment that constantly recorded brain activity.  She was seen by the best neonatal neurologists in Boston.  She was prescribed phenobarb which would be tapered off in time.  At the age of one week she was sent home.  She had follow up visits with a neurologist and a neuro visiting nurse who found Joanie meeting  all milestones ahead of schedule.
Joan is five years old now and in kindergarden.  She has wanted to go to school since she could utter the words.  She is very  creative, draws well and gets her family portraits in perfect perspective.  She wrote her first letter to Santa this year with no input from anybody else.  She takes dance lessons now and is a big Angelina Ballerina fan.  Her grandmother, Guggs gave her swimming lessons and she swims very well.  I have learned so much from this darling precious child, she needs no advice from me.
Everett Floyd Metcalf is my namesake.  He calls me,”greatgranny’ and I love that.  Once when I was holding him reading a bedtime story before his nap, he was playing with the loose skin I try to ignore that dangles from my chin.  Ev looked at me and said,”greatgranny I love your chin.”  I se my turkey neck in new light now.  His playroom is full of interesting toys, books and creative things.  He has a rocking horse made by his great uncle Peter.  There are safety locks on all the gates and cupboard doors where cleaning chemicals are kept.  Ev has taken apart that lock, not to get into the cupboard but only to explore the complexity of locks.
Everett’s grandfather, Metcalf plays piano and sings songs from an old songbook.  He knows,”Goodnight Irene,”  and, “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.”  He sings very well.  He loves to play outdoors in any temperature.  I was visiting once when Ev was two. It was near Halloween and he was eager for me to look out their front window to,”see the pooky goats hanging in the pooky trees.”  Sure enough there were spooky ghosts hanging in the neighbors trees.  He goes hiking in the mountains with his parents and he loves cars.  This year he mae his second gingerbread house and did a very good job.  There is no advice I could give Everett that he might need.  He has everything under control.
Laura Winter Rodriguez was two on October 29th.  Her middle name is Winter because despite her mother being scheduled for a Cesarean section on November 1, Laura decided to arrive during a surprise snowstorm on October 29.  Laura has been making up her own mind about everything ever since.  She is a most expressive child with incredibly expressive ways.  She loves being read to and listens attentively.  She vociferously tells me what story she would like but I don’t always understand her.  We generally come to a compromise.  She likes to play,”Ride a Horse to Boston” and never tires but I do.  She loves to play,  “dress up” and raids Joanie’s closet at will.  She got a cash register for Christmas and she puts it  to use in the Miss Clementine’s Shop in the living room.  She swipes the play credit card like a pro.  We are great friends but when her gran, “Guggs” is present I am summarily dismissed.  She has the unqualified love of the entire family  and I believe she is well aware of that.  I do not believe there is one bit of advice I could give this wee sweet darling who I’m certain could charm a hound dog off a meat wagon.
Murphy Harriet Metcalf is about to celebrate her second birthday on the first day of February.  She is very wise and keeps up with Everett.  This past October we were all gathered for Anne and Dan’s wedding.  Murphy wore a jade colored hat and coat that Aunt Bobbie in Ottawa, knit for Hillary about thirty years ago.  She made the fashion statement of the day.  At the end of the day her Dad suggested that she get a diaper change and get into pyjamas so she will be ready for bed when they get home.  Murphy responded, “there’s a big poop in there.”  Her report was accurate.  She sings well and in tune.  Her rendition of, “I am a pizza” is wonderful.  Hillary recently sent a video of her running with Everett.  She keeps up and I fully expect that she too will one day run the Boston Marathon as her Mother did a few years ago.
So  it is more than obvious that these four incredibly remarkable little people are going to grow up and do great things without any input or advice from their great granny.  I want them to only remember that I loved them all to the moon and back.

aaand time! code solved!
The key was "styfifsijqnts", which was "notadandelion" from the dates (THANK YOU BROTHERRR) with a ceasarian shift of five. decrypted text is as follow:
I see. Then, the Dandelions…? Nevermind. I'm glad you're out there, at least. This program sends messages into the astral plane. I'm not sure what for. Scala's not exactly in the business of spillin' all their secrets. 'Specially not the "heirs". Ephemer had kids- can you believe it? I hardly can, and they're in my face all the damn time. He built this place, after everything. I guess if any of us could've done it, it'd be him. Our intrepid leader, eh? Player, you'd… Well, I'm not sure if you'd like it here. We didn't really know each other, did we? And yet you're the only one left. It's almost funny, isn't it?I'm sorry, they were your friends too. I shouldn't joke about it.

Senate update!
First, they decided on what to do with Brutus. They took half of his wealth in fine and (I think, I was doing my japanese homework) barred him from ever becoming consul, but allowed him to keep his votes in the Senate.
Then they decided to try to parley with Pompey Sextus. They sent one senator from each side of the Senate’s current factions (ceasarian and whatever the anti-ceasarians are called don’t look at me this isn’t my class I’m just observing) to try to talk him into standing down and coming back to Rome. Despite a rousing speech on the Senate’s behalf by the Ceasarian senator, Pompey tried to take the senator hostage, but the senator escaped to return to Rome to let everyone know what happened.
So then they started talking “cool so how do we deal with Pompey?” and someone suggested assassination. There was a question of how they’d afford it, and one of the senators called out “we’re all wealthy men! ….Except Brutus.” and if you don’t think that shit’s hilarious in light of the first order of business I don’t know what to tell you.
They debated briefly whether or not to send some of Lepidus’s legions after Pompey like honorable men or attempt to assassinate him like cowards, lmao. There was some debate about attacking vs. blockading, though I think generally the consensus was “You’re REALLY invested in starving people, Cicero, wtf” lmao. They’re taking some Italian legions, and taking some North African legions, commanded by Hirtius and Antony respectively, and they’re going to go march on Pompey immediately. Which fuck yeah kick that fucker’s ass, babe!
also history dad set off a sound of rain and a lightning crash and then a horn call to signal the end of the current recess, and Rufus (who was named pontifex maximus last week and is thus in charge of reading omens and shit) nearly had a heart attack thinking it was meant to be an omen XDDD

My pain was seriously bad. I went to the hospital 4 times (the first time they gave me pure morphine, waited until the pain stopped, and sent me home) It took the best part of a year and 5 trips to the hospital before they did the scans to find the cyst on my ovary that was so big it banged into my other organs when it moved.
They removed it, but my abdomen looks like I had a ceasarian section, not a cyst removal.
If your doctor doesn't take your pain seriously, find one who will.
important reminder for people who menstruate:
if your cramps are so painful you can't do daily tasks, take care of yourself or get out of bed. if you pass out or vomit from cramps. if you can't walk or stand up properly from cramps. if you need to take pain medicine when you get cramps or else you will get sick, pass out, whatever.
seek medical help. people talk about how painful cramps are, and it's true, but there's a level of pain that simply isn't normal, and you need to get it checked

How i coped with my miscarriage
I’m sure like hundreds and thousands of people, i’m not the only person completely appalled by the events going on in the USA where religious zealots are taking away body autonomy from millions of women with the changes to Abortion. Being 10000 miles away makes me angry and helpless for you all. I know there is nothing i can do here, i’m not a US voter nor resident, but what i can do is share my experience.
Firstly i want to make it clear that i’ve never had an abortion. In fact my medical set up has meant quite the opposite; i struggled to get pregnant for over a decade even when we were trying to conceive. What i have however done is experienced miscarriage, more than once.
I am not going to put this post under a ‘read more’ cut, as if my blog gets deleted i want this information to remain so it can hopefully help other people, so if graphic descriptions of miscarriage and womens body functions is triggering for you, what i will do is insert two images, once you see the first, scroll real fast until you see the second as that will be at the end of the post.
Tumblr media
My first few miscarriages were all around the 6 to 8 week of pregnancy. Some of the times i knew i was pregnant, other times i had just thought my period was late, especially if it was towards the earlier part of these weeks.
My worst miscarriage happened at around 12 weeks pregnant, and this is the one i will discuss here on how i coped with the physical side. What i will say is if at all possible, seek medical assistance. Just because i survived this doesn’t mean to say that you won’t experience complications.
I started spotting on lets say day 1. I had mild stomach ache but throughout the first three months of pregnancy you have all sorts of weird aches and pains where your body is growing and expanding.  Around the latter hours of day 2 and into day 3 i started to bleed. It was very dark and a lot of clots. I was now getting what i would call is normal period pains. At this point i did see a midwife but the doppler didn’t find a heartbeat. You can purchase dopplers for home use to hear the baby’s heartbeat. I was sent to my local hospital here in the UK for an internal scan. We attended the scan and no heartbeat was found. That was the afternoon of day 3. I was offered to have the evacuation proceedure but i was too traumatised to agree to that, instead i just wanted to go home. *If you have the medical facilities to have the evacuation proceedure, have it. It speeds the process up and causes considerably less pain than the path i followed*
Over the next 5 days i miscarried at home. Around day 6 i passed the fetus. What people do not tell you is that a miscarriage is labor. You go through labor. However you do not release the appropriate hormones to widen your uterus, nor to help with the endorphins. Wear as little as possible, underwear with a heavy flow pad, and you will need around 20-30 of these per day. Do not use tampons, the uterine material will need to leave your body. You will feel the waves of pain start in the upper part of the small of your back (about where your kidneys are), that is a contraction. It will release a new flood of uterine material, so i would suggest getting to a bathroom as quickly as possible. It is not just ‘runny’ blood. There will be a lot of clots.  Have something to grip onto; i ripped out the toilet tissue holder from the brick wall during one contraction.
Pain meds wise i alternated between Ibroprofen and Paracetemol (in the US i believe this is the Tylenol type painkiller). DO NOT TAKE ASPRIN. Asprin can cause major stomach and gut issues, which you do not want in this situation.
You will not want to eat or drink, but you must. Water is essential; you will loose at lot of fluids. It will also be very tempting to eat nothing but toast, but this can cause the complication of constipation, and when your uterus is already going through so much and is heavily swollen, being clogged up will only cause more pain. Get some dried fruit such as dates, prunes, apricots, or raisins.
Around 3-4 days after i passed the fetus i hit the baby blues. This is when your hormones dip (it happens in any birth; vaginal or ceasarian), and all you will do is cry. You need to reach out to someone at that point, someone who can sit with you whilst you go through this. I would hope that you already have someone with you from the start, but if not, call out to a friend or relative that understands.
Once you feel able to, get up and out. You will have a period for around 3-6 weeks afterwards, but the sooner you can get up and walking around it will speed the process up.
Now the important part: IF YOU CAN PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE MOMENT YOU REALISE WHAT IS HAPPENING. This post is not a ‘how to miscarry at home’. Its a post on how i miscarried at home. I was very lucky not to end up with an infection or any complications.
However with this new US legislature, i fully understand that women can now be charged with murder for something they have no control over. Please if you can, seek help, i cannot stress this enough. In the US please at very least contact Planned Parenthood. If you can’t get to one of their facilities, i would hope that they could help advise over the phone.  https://www.plannedparenthood.org/

Manila Med Forum to empower every woman with knowledge about Dystocia
Manila Med Forum to empower every woman with knowledge about Dystocia
True to its promise of valuing the good of every patient before anything else, ManilaMed spearheaded a lay forum last 16 February 2017 at Dr. Paulo C. Campos Hall of the hospital to empower every woman with knowledge about the very common problem that a pregnant may encounter during labor. This is called Dystocia. Dystocia, also calledobstructed labor, is when, even though the uterus is…

Super Late post //
📌 April 02, 2019
I was on my 38th week, actually turning 39 weeks. Wala pa ko masyadong nararamdamang sakit or paghilab. Maliban sa paninigas ng tummy ko, pero hindi naman ganun katagal. Pasulpot sulpot lang siya that day. And i had a check-up schedule in San Juan De Dios Hospital, sa may pasay.
A Medyo traffic pa that day kaya inabot din ng 1hr mahigit, las pinas to pasay. Mga 7am nakapila na kami, waiting hanggang sa matawag. Halos abutin kami ng ilang oras kakaintay matawag yung pangalan ko. Hanggang sa pinapasok na kami sa room ng for check up. Chineck nila yung size and heartbeat ni baby. Inobserve nila yung paninigas ng tiyan ko. Medyo napapadalas na kasi siya every 5 minutes. Ang tagal kong nakahiga. Isang intern na guy (beki pa nga hehe) and isang doktora yung natingin sakin. Hanggang sa in-I.E na ako to check if open na yung sipit sipitan ko (di ko sure kung right term yun haha) and sabi close pa naman yung sa loob. So it means safe pa? Hahaha. And i was shocked 😂 akala ko kasi pwede pumili ng date. Plano ko sana is April 4, kaso di na pala aabot. Gusto na lumabas ni kulit 😁
