My Cagney headcanons (for my own au/cddwtd art stuff).

Cagney is very loud, curt, and overall rough around the edges, but he keeps a more "sweet and soft" personality when dealing with strangers and most places that aren't the Isle One. However, under all the fake shyness and rambunctious personality, he has a softer side that he only shows to a few.

He stopped pretending to be sweet and shy as much after the incident with Cup, Mugs, and the Devil's contracts.

He has a big garden where he grows all types of flowers that vary with the seasons, and sells them to flowershops all around the Inkwell Isles. He is very proud of his work, more often than not bragging about how he can grow any type of flower he wants.

Cagney is extremely picky about who helps with the garden, doing most of the planting and flower caring himself, while he gets help with other things like buying seeds, moving dirt sacks around, etc.

Of course he is an expert in flower meanings, and if you ask nicely and he likes you, he might even give you advice on what flowers to gift whom.

Secretly knows all his friend's favorite flowers.

Will just edit more as I think of more things.

Like they'd be county fair rivals. talkin bout who could grow the biggest vegetable.

How did Bebe meet Cagney? Was it just a case of looking for odd jobs and so she came across him, or did they meet up in a different place?

I was going to initially draw this, but I haven’t had time because other work so text it is.

Bebe was born and raised outside the Inkwell isles, but would often visit her grandparents that lived in Isle One in a cosy house by the beach. She was an extremely shy kid back then, most of the time she played by the small beach or the garden and would sometimes hide if she saw other kids.

Her grandparents tried to push her a bit into knowing the local toons, so would have her come with them when going for groceries or if invited for lunch with the neighbors and a couple of times would send her in small tasks on her own (like picking a package from the neighbors, can you please get this to the store, etc).

It was on one of this trips that Barley met Cagney :)

He was playing on his own when he found a slightly lost Bebe, she had gone out to buy candies and lost the path on her way back, and with the daylight fading away she panicked and couldn’t figure how to get back. So Cagney that knew the isle like the back of his hand, guided her back to her grandparents house.

After that they slowly start becoming friends, Cagney usually played on his own due his loud and rough personality, something Bebe found fun.

It wasn't a deep friendship, Bebe spent most time back home outside the isles, but whenever she visited she would play with Cagney.

Sadly, as time went by and she grew up, she would visit less and less until she stopped after her grandparents had to move out the isles due their old age and health, and Cagney (and Barley for the flower) became just a good old memory of “that kid I used to play with in summer”.

before i finish up w the second half of the intro comic (bc that's when he makes his first official appearance) i really want u guys 2 know some of the differences between tt!cagney's first two forms, so here's his passive

one thing i think is so funny abt tt!cagney is that he's literally GIANT, and his height basically doubles in his last form so he gets closer to the height of the other two (he's still the shortest). like for example i hc canon cagney to be like 7'-8'. tt!cagney would think he's like SO tiny

anywaysss i'm polishing up irascible's design b4 i post his version, then i'll post em both together on my other blog and then MAYBE i'll do his hostile form.
