NOIIIRRR

- Noir was originally an accident (like PJ) between nightmare and ccino, of course nightmare would never even look at him, let alone see him as his child and in my AU ccino was genuinely mentally not ready for a child nor could properly care for one, so color and killer offered to take him in

- But of course Noir never feels like he actually belongs into the family, he does like his 'parents' but doesn't show attachment to them, he feels most attached to Koda instead

- Noir does have functioning tentacles, but like I've mentioned he is only allowed to pick up things with it, but can get in trouble when he uses his tentacles to wrap around people or pick them up, especially koda, killer doesn't like seeing that because it reminds him of how nightmare treated him

- Noir visits Ccino's café often, and yes he does knows who his actual parents are

- Noir HATES affection. Which is ehhhh since color and killer probably give their kids almost TOO much affection

- Noir often has those late night talks with color about how he feels like the black sheep in the family

- Noir spends almost all of his time with his brother and is rarely somewhere without Koda

- yes, Noir does have pupils (white) but when he's annoyed or moody they disappear

- i might make Noir aroace because well idk i dont have any partners for him considering the fact he hates affection

- Noir knows Arab from his parents but also knows french and russian

I am late, but not quite? This was written before the fifth day of the challenge, but I felt insecure about this piece so I didn't post it. It's My Hero Academia x UTMV crossover where Ccino works for Dream in a cafe right in front of the greatest hero school in the world, and Dream's twin Night is Ccino's significant other and also a villain Nightmare visits the cafe regularly. Only this time is special — Night is also in love with one of his villain subordinates, Killer, and it's the day Night's two lovers meet each other. Killer — or, rather, Target, specifically when he's around civilians, like Nightmare and Night, — so, Killer is interested in the coffee boy his boss is so fond of, but Ccino... Oh, would you look at that. Ccino finds himself mesmerised to the point when usual shyness leaves him.

Also, for those who are not familiar with MHA, it's a world where almost everyone has a Quirk — a special ability from making your eyes change colour to super strength to, well, those I saw fit for the characters of this piece.

Day 5: Red

Ccino is, by all means, a background character. His Quirk is nothing special — an oddly specific passive ability to measure drinkable liquids exactly like another person wants their beverage to be. That's why he works at a cafe — a normal job, as plain as he is. What's unusual about it is that the said cafe is the nearest to the UTMV — the best hero university in the world. Their guests are both teachers — real Pro Heroes — and stidents, the future of their world. It's such an honor to serve them, and Ccino is forever grateful to Dream for hiring him straight after graduation. The place has become his second home.

Ccino's first home has always been by Night's side. They grew up in the same orphanage — Dream, his brother Night, and Ccino, a couple of years younger than the twins. And if Dream was a star — no, the sun — everyone loved and praised him and his Positive Aura, a perfect Quirk for heroics, — then Night with his Negative Aura was an eclipse, leaving everyone uneasy and volatile. And then there was Ccino, suffering from depression in his young age and being blamed and gaslighted by everyone. He barely felt the effect of the Positive Aura and found sanctuary and validation in the Negative Aura. Then, when they were all teenagers, Ccino realised he's long since fallen in love with Night. And there was no way he'd stay quiet.

So he confessed. He still remembers how soft Night's features and voice got in response. Ccino was blessed to see a rare genuine smile, too. Night warned Ccino their relationship won't be easy, hinted at his plans after he leaves the orphanage, but Ccino wasn't afraid.

That was before.

Now, he's washing the tables after a busy day. When the bells chime, he smiles widely and turns around, expecting to see Night — for the first time not alone but with someone special.

They talked about it a lot during the last month. When Night admitted he also loves another person, Ccino was ready to let him go. Only it wasn't what Night wanted — he loves them both and doesn't want to lose either of them. Could Ccino do this? Share his beloved with someone else? Of course he could, the answer was. He already did. Night used every opportunity to see Ccino, but still was a busy monster. Nightmare, the most nefarious Villain in the world, and his group of misfits.

And today Ccino is meeting one of his subordinates, the one who cought not only attention but also affection of the King of Negativity. Must be someone truly special.

Not that Ccino is special himself. He's just lucky he and Night are childhood sweethearts who never grew apart...

Ccino takes a step forward to hug Night and greet his another love. Only words fail him — he lowers his gaze to the brightest part of the two, a red heart-shaped soul, glowing and swirling gently. He can't look away.

Night chuckles fondly, "Enthralling, isn't he?"

Of course he notices where Ccino's gaze is attracted.

Ccino blushes and tries to pull himself together, barely managing to squeak, "Anything to drink?"

"We both know you already know," Night teases.

"Yeah, right... I'll just, uh, go. Give me a minute."

。。。

Ccino might just have a problem. That problem is not two Villains in elegant costumes sitting near the window of the cafe, chatting — although it looks like Killer talks and Night listens. Also, yeah, he knows who Killer is, even with his soul stable and heart-shaped. He watches the news from time to time. There are lots of soul conditions and mutations in the world of Quirks, so no one pays much attention if any at all. And so Killer is unrecognisable to the public. Just get civilian clothes and control determination and hate leaking from his sockets.

Anyway. The problem is that Ccino can't tear his eye-lights away from Killer's soul. He can't help it, weak before its beauty and captivation. He's just like that with Night, and Night knows it.

Ccino really, really wants to touch Killer's red and white soul. For moment, it's all he sees — and he knows Night knows, the empath that he is.

Ccino is sure to make a fool of himself at least once.

"Here's your coffee, and your tea. I hope you like it." Ccino says awkwardly but serving the cups masterfully.

Then he sits down in front of Night and Killer. And it's so... they're both so...

It's rude to stare, but Ccino's already gone. He's warm all over, and his hands itch to touch, to caress.

Killer gives him a charming smile. Night watches them fondly and finally says, "Ccino, this is Killer. Please call him Target whenever he's in civilian clothes. Killer, this is Ccino."

"Would you look at that, the legendary coffee boy is right in front of me, and what a sight!" Killer — Target?.. — sips his coffee and grins slyly, "It's actually perfect! How about I give you something in return?"

Flustered, Ccino lowers his gaze, but mumbles, "Could I someday touch your soul?.."

Target's grin widens. "...Well, I did not expect that, but you know what? Sure, do it!"

Just like that?!

But Ccino really, really wants to... The red glow lures him closer, makes him forget all rules and limitations. He side-eyes Night — touching someone's soul is so very intimate, after all. But Night nods in Target's direction and smiles softly. So Ccino, supported by them both, lets himself give in to the magnetic desire to touch.

He does, leaning forward over the table and finally touching the heart-shaped target. It's exhilarating in an absolutely different way from Night, and yet so very pleasant. Red glow grows brighter, warming Ccino's own soul. Does Target trust him that much already?..

The three of them talk a lot, mostly Target and Ccino who need to get to know each other better. Or maybe don't need, exactly, but definitely want to.

Night hugs Ccino and kisses him goodbye, and then Target demands a kiss as well, and looking at them doesn't feel like betrayal or jealousy.

It feels like home.

ccino/color: i like to think they met from killer introducing color to the café, color comes to be one of ccino’s regulars. color is one of those guests ccino will talk to at night when the café is supposed to be closed. color kind of has nothing to do, so he helps ccino out. color gets disappointed when he realizes another person he likes has ties with nightmare! he tries making ccino stay away from nightmare as well, and that’s where he kinda falls in love with him. also they are the coffee shop trope in my eyes.

ccino/killer: cats, cat lovers, cat enjoyers. i hc killer doesnt eat often and ccino has to encourage him to eat. i like to think they met through nightmare. killer didnt have any interest at first, but he slowly warms up to him (killer isnt cat obsessed here, but thats only because of stage 2). when he’s in stage one that’s when he realizes, “hey! i might like ccino!” then he just makes the excuse of cats to go visit ccino more. also also, those cats killer owns that nightmare beat up? i like to think he got them from ccino as a gift. also also, ccino is canonically flirty! (he just has no idea he’s doing it.) they flirt with each other all the time, but one of them gets embarrassed when the other does it (ccino cough)

dream/ccino: met when dream sensed ccino’s emotions, you know how ccino is the one always cheering people up in ships? fuck that, both of them are comforting each other. literally take canon fluffynight and invert that shit. toxic relationship? no siree!! only happy slowburn with lots of talking involved. like fuck yea dream!!! take yo brother’s hoe! (and go run off with him and throw away your job pls)

Dream and Nightmare are like night and day, so if they were to share the same parners, the same amount of kids for each partner and similar name ideas - this is approximately what it would look like:

Nightmare x Error: Failure; Mistake; Defect

Error normally would reject his children and Nightmare is the king of negativity itself. Therefore the kids names are as negative and neglectful as they go.

Nightmare x Killer: Poison/Ivy; Misery

Poisons design would resemble the plant they're named after, their magic would be deceivingly green, so someone might assume that their magic is healing, and they would use this momentary trust to deal the killing blow. Their poison has no antidote.

Nightmare x Reaper: Tranquilizer; Serene

Nightmare x Fresh: Parasite

Nighmare x Blue: Bleak

Paralleling Bright this is a very mellow and pessimistic child.

Nighmare x Ccino: Camellia; Chamomile; Cocoa

The name "Camellia" is based off of the Purple Tea from Kenya.

Chamomile is named by Ccino, because that is Nightmares favorite drink when it's made by Ccino.

Cocoa is named by Nightmare, because op associates hot chocolate with nighttime, but Nightmare noticed and kept in mind that hot chocolate is Ccinos second favorite drink.

The name "Sinensis" is based off of the Yellow Tea from China.

Ginger paralels with Chamomile, Ccino fell slightly ill while pregnant with Ginger and Dream gave him Ginger tea which not only helped cure his illness, but also became a name origin.

Smoothie is based off of breakfast smoothies.

Dream x Blue: Bright

Paralleling Bleak, this is a very energetic and happy child.

Dream x Fresh: Host

Dream x Reaper: Serotonin; Frenzy

Dream x Killer: Antidote; Comfort

Nostalgia

Dream and Cross sit on a roof, not too high above the ground but enough for it to be a quiet night with only the swift wind and the gentle moonlight to accompany them. Cross hugs Dream from behind, his hands circling his love's waist. Dream looks at his own hands, at the ring on his finger, and it shines, starlit — a star of its own right. All Dream's light is focused in that ring. When darkness overcomes him, he seeks the weight of it, the smooth edges, the glint, everything.

In a way, we're all stars.

Dream's become a black hole, though. He gave up his light to set his brother free from the curse that's taken his life — perhaps not literally, not to the point of death, but it's even worse, everything Nightmare had to live through. Dream's been suffering, but Nightmare had it worse.

Only they're not comparing traumas.

Cross' warmth beside his back reminds him of this simple truth.

None of them deserved what they got.

So today Dream refuses to fall. He's not alone, nevermore, and with Cross' help, he will soar.

"Cross?" Dream whispers.

"Hm?" his beloved murmurs in return, caressing his ribs through the clothes and goop. Dream smiles, softly.

"Remember when you proposed?" he pauses, thoughtful. "It's so unfair that to accept, I needed to lose everything once again… Or, well, I suppose, not everything. I still have you, and I have Nightmare, and Nightmare has Killer and Ccino… It's still so strange to never be alone anymore. It used to be just me against the world, from the beginning, and now… Now, it's us."

There's a surge of gentle fondness and determined devotion behind Dream's back. It's so easy, so pleasant to feel Cross' emotions — his love for Dream and his hate for the world that's wronged them so. Complex and genuine, raw and bright like stars, Cross' emotions guide Dream back to him.

"I remember," he responds. "It's not the happiest memory, but I treasure it dearly."

"So do I," Dream nods, ever so slightly. "Now I realise it took a lot of courage to ask and even more loyalty to accept my answer as it was," Dream sighs. "I never knew I could be happy. And now I truly can't be — such potent positivity hurts me so very much, and I can't let myself die, we all know it'll be the end if I do. Maybe the Multiverse never needed us to maintain the balance, maybe there's no balance needed at all, but the curse, if it ever prevails, will never stop until it drowns the Multiverse in negativity. We won't allow it to happen. I just know we won't. We're too good of a team to fail, despite our differences, despite everything. And despite everything, it's still me. And now that I accepted your proposal… it's nice to think that someday, I will be able to just be happy. With you, and with my brother, and like him, we'll find a home of our own."

"There'll be no need to hide anymore," Cross whispers, wistfully. "No need to run. Not from Nightmare, and not from ourselves. Sounds lovely, doesn't it?"

"It really does."

They sit in a tight embrace. They smile. They reminisce — about the good and about the bad, about the tears and about the laughs, about those long gone and those who are still there.

Dream looks at his ring, and it shines like a loadstar it is.

Someday, it will bring them home.

But for now, they'd make their home in memories. And it's okay. It's more than he ever had.

Notes

Are there references to Zu's Loadstar comic? Duh. Obviously. It just fit so well with the atmosphere and the mood, I had to. Did Dream think this way because he talked to Killer about it, since it's Killer's POV in Loadstar? Maybe! See in the main story whenever we get to this point!

Soft Nightmare is best Nightmare. I like showing that Nightmare can be good to the people he cares about while also being pure evil to everyone else. Poor boi has insecurities though.

Killer really is a gremlin, so chaotic. He defiantly wants Colour to hook up with someone and figures Ccino is a easy target. (hehe good rare pair.)

The magic of acting never ceased to amaze Ccino. How actors can so fully take on a persona and effortlessly bring things of fiction to life has always been amazing to Ccino, but especially now. He was preparing the coffee of the big four actors, Nightmare, Killer, Dream, and Cross, making each one perfect by second nature. His hands worked without thought, freeing his mind up to think about other things.

Like the fact that he had to come clean soon.

Ccino groans under his breath at the thought, closing his eye sockets.

When Nightmare and Killer began coming to the cafe during lunch, Ccino was hesitant, but excited. After all, two famous actors had focused their lunchtime on him! At first, it was like a dream. Gradually, he discovered things about them. Killer is infatuated with cats, and Nightmare needs no less than half the cup of creamer and milk in order to drink coffee without gagging.

Ccino became steadily happy to see them, excited and prepared every time. It was a few months of this when something else changed.

Ccino was cleaning up, ready to close up shop, when one hand rapped on the door.

“Hey, can we get something real quick?” The soft voice covered the space within and Ccino let the two visitors in, whom he quickly noted to be Dream, brother of Nightmare, and Cross.

They became something new in his routine.

Nightmare and Killer visited during lunch, and then Dream and Cross would stop by just before closing and walk Ccino home.

Just as had happened with Nightmare and Killer, Ccino gradually felt something for Dream and Cross.

It was only recently that Ccino finally put a word to the feelings he felt around the four actors.

Love.

He loved all four actors with all his heart.

And that led to this situation.

Where he needs to come clean to both pairs.

“Ccino, great work as always.” Came a compliment from the quieter of the two, Nightmare. Killer, meanwhile, was chugging the entire coffee order Ccino had made.

“I don’t know if I can ever make my own coffee again after getting used to you making it, Cc.” Ccino blushes slightly at the nickname Killer gave, freezing as he sees the other pair walking over.

I’d like a hole right now.

Ccino pales, chuckling nervously as Dream and Cross meet up with Nightmare, Killer, and Ccino.

“Hey, Ccino. Have you had a good day?” Ccino nods slightly, Dream frowning gently.

“If you’re having issues with your neighbors, you can always stay at our place.” Ccino shakes his head, trying to hide in his sweater as Nightmare responds.

“Dream? You know Ccino as well?” Dream nods.

“Cross and I have the time in the evenings, so we visit him and walk him home, you?”

“Kills and I can go during lunch, and we just hang out with him.” The two continue talking, leaving Killer and Cross to study Ccino, who is currently trying to melt into the floor.

“Hey, Night, Dream, I think Cc needs a break.” The two focus on Ccino, Nightmare frowning and gently rubbing Ccino’s pink cheeks.

“You’re heating up. Have you gotten enough sleep?” Ccino gives a small nod, not trusting his voice right now, silently thankful that neither pair has picked up on his feelings.

“We’ll be visiting during lunch, in the meantime, Dream, why don’t you take him to the nurse anyways, to make sure he’s okay.” Dream and Cross nod, leading Ccino away. Once they are around the corner, Dream smiles at Cross.

“You can head back, I think Ccino will be fine with just me.” Cross nods, placing a gentle kiss on Dream’s cheek, Ccino turning away from the affection.

I wish that could be me.

“Ccino, I’m not accusing you or anything, but based on the way you reacted, I get the feeling you are hiding something.” Ccino sighs, a little upset he can’t hide his feelings from Dream.

“I...I am...It’s nothing bad! I swear! Well...probably not. I’m…” Ccino stumbles over his words, Dream just smiling patiently. Ccino takes a deep breath, calming down slightly (he can never be truly calm when his blood might as well be coffee at this point).

“Promise you won’t judge me?”

“Promise.”

“Okay...I met Nightmare and Killer a few months before you and Cross...that isn’t the problem. The problem is…” Ccino can feel his cheeks heating up again at the thought.

The problem is I like all of you, and can’t decide which pair I like more.

“Is that all?” Ccino blinks.

“D-did...I say that out loud?”

“Yeap. And if you’re worried about picking a pair, then think about who you click with better.” Ccino releases a noise similar to a whine and a huff.

“If I could decide who I click with better, I would have picked already.” Dream hums softly, smiling.

“Then I suppose there really is a problem here.” Dream chuckles.

“Cause Cross and I fell for you too Coffee Boy. And I can already tell, Nightmare and Killer love you dearly as well.” Ccino slouches.

“Don’t remind me.”

“If you can’t pick, and all of us love you, then the solution is simple.” Dream smiles.

“Go back to your job, I’ll make sure Killer and Nightmare come with Cross and I at closing, okay?” Ccino slowly nods, heading back to his job with Dream, who then heads back to filming.

Ccino prepared their drinks about five minutes before they were due to arrive, cleaning excessively due to nerves mostly. Ever since his conversation, he’s been running different ideas for Dream’s solution in his head.

But there isn’t a solution here! Especially not a simple one.

“-Well, I’m glad we were able to clear that up!” Comes Dream’s voice from outside, laughter buried under the chipper tone.

“Agreed, and thank you for the suggestion.” Nightmare’s reply, in his cool yet soft voice.

“I’m amazed Ccino felt that way about us for so long and didn’t pop like a balloon.” Killer’s statement, with the undertones of excitement.

“Well, Ccino isn’t near as flirty as you.” Cross’s voice and laughter mixed with Killer’s laughter.

“True!” Killer replies, the excitement still there.

Finally, they reach the door, Dream raising his hand to knock.

“I-it’s open.” Dream smiles, pushing the door open, the other three filing in. Ccino is quick to hand them each their drink, making sure he got the order right.

The first several minutes are spent in utter silence as the four drink their coffees while Ccino vibrates between nervousness and wired on coffee. Even after they finish their drinks, none of them speak, only sending respective smiles toward Ccino.

What are they trying to do?

Ccino shudders, taking a deep breath and nervously wringing a nearby towel.

“I-i’m fairly certain Dream told you how I felt. I-i understand if you all are disgusted with me and don’t want to see me anymore. I-i can talk to my boss, get reassigned, never have to see you again,-” A soft hand rubs his tears away. Ccino blinks, staring at Dream, who tilts his head, smiling gently.

“Ccino, don’t cry, please. None of us want you reassigned, and none of us are disgusted with you. In fact...” Dream turns, Nightmare having stood up and crossed the cafe to stand beside Dream.

“We all want to try out Dream’s suggestion.”

“W-which is?” Dream and Nightmare smile, but it’s Killer, who is cuddling a cat, who responds.

“Well, we are all interested in polyamory. So the solution is simply for you to not choose at all.” Ccino tilts his head and Cross pipes up.

“You’ll get both Dream and I as well as Nightmare and Killer. All in one super deluxe package. We’re all in agreement that we are interested in you, and since you can’t make the choice, we figured this would be best, just to see.” Ccino sags against Nightmare, slightly catching the other off-guard.

“So...none of you hate me...for loving you both?” Dream chuckles softly and all the skeletons shake their heads.

“And you don’t hate me for hiding your visits from each other?”

“One, Ccino, we talk to each other at work. It was bound to come out. And two, you have a life outside of us. If we tried to micromanage your life so we were the only ones in it, we’d be toxic.” Ccino sighs, relaxing.

“Great, cause I’m tired, and don’t want to deal with my neighbors today.”

“Sounds great. Come stay at my place for the night.” Nightmare states, looking at the others.

“And no reason not to invite the rest of you over.” Everyone smiles and Ccino just rests on Nightmare. Slowly, Nightmare picks up Ccino, hugging the skeleton close to his chest, Killer and Cross rushing ahead to open the door, Dream smiling.

“Thank you...all...really…” Ccino mumbles as he slowly dozes off on Nightmare’s shoulder. The four look at each other, before grinning down at Ccino, whispering soft ‘goodnights’ to the tired skeleton.

Hi again! Since you're more of a night owl and I'm an early bird, we usually can't reply right away, so no apologies anymore! It's just how our communication works (x

First off, I'm really proud of myself for translating the whole thing in one go. As far as I know, we don't have a completed Russian translation, and I was very excited to show your comics to my significant one, so I did it myself. It's easier when you don't have to worry about the length and size of every phrase. Though I do wish I could make a translation for everyone, not just one person... But that's completely different matter, and I have no idea how to do that, so it's just dreams.

I can't believe I forgot this part of Killer's comic... I reread it, but I guess my state is affecting my memory more than I thought. Sad but true, apparently. Thanks for reminding me!

As for the LODESTAR, I saw much more, it is just that I think all my thoughts won't ever fit, so I chose those I find the most important. What you put in this comic is truly amazing. So many things in only ten (oh so beautiful) pages. A round of applauds once again for you, for your talent and hard work ✨

I mean, I did translate both comics not so long before writing that ask, of course I knew what to quote and couldn't help myself (x You already know how much I love parallels, references and such.

Hidden meanings of "Failure is not an option". Did I guess right?.. Or did you just like my options so much?.. Again, I'm really curious.

Last but not least (I saved the best for last (x), the song! It's The Death of Me by Marianas Trench. Do I love the whole album with all my heart, but this? This is so about Nightmare and those he doesn’t yet exactly love (at least from X-tra Dark Cream timeline, which means it's also about Killer and Ccino) I genuinely cried when I first listened to it. I also may have an entire analysis on how and why every single line fits perfectly... I like writing those, and my significant one loves when I do that, so that's a thing (x
