I dare Shikamaru to kiss Ino!

“What a drag, was this your idea Choji? Naruto?’ Shikamaru wondered as he was anonymously dared to kiss Ino, lucky it wasn’t specified where, so his plan was to ‘accidentally' bump into her, kiss her cheek to make sure someone saw him as proof, and then be on his way.

Spotting Ino heading out from the flower store, Shikamaru pretended to rush past her. A slight bump that kind of escalated, and he ended up kissing close to her ear instead.

“Sorry Ino, Choji wanted these limited edition BBQ chips before they’re sold out, I’ll see you later!” he said quickly before rushing off, face almost beetroot red from his blunder than the actual dare.

Shikamaru did his best not to respond to Ino as she called after him, he'd explain to her later once this was all over. Soon he bumped into Choji who gave him a decoy packet of chips, just like they had planned. "Thanks, I owe you one, Choji."

"You know what you're going to tell Ino though? She seems pretty mad," Choji replied, looking at Ino who was catching up with them. Well sticking with the plan, he went off to do more grocery shopping.

"Sorry, Ino," Shikamaru started to apologise, wondering if it would dig his hole further if he told Ino the truth, that it was part of a dare. "Choji really wanted these limited edition chips haha."

Ino had barely finished up her latest shift at the flower shop before she'd even noticed Shikamaru approach. Normally there wouldn't have been any issues with bumping into each other, considering they've been in each other's lives for as long as they've been, but this? This wasn't normal. He kissed her... near her ear. And then he ran away? He. Ran. Away?

"Shikamaru! What the hell was that? If you're gonna kiss me, at least do it right, you coward!" Ino called out after him, obviously irritated. Who did he think he was? A measly kiss near her ear? Did he NOT know she had wanted more than that? That she deserved more? Nope. He wasn't going to get away with it. For now, she'd allow him a little head start, but oh... when she caught him, she'd show him exactly how he was supposed to do it!
