Lyon was asking the Fairy Tail guild members in general, and was surprised to find a woman answer him, and she was beautiful, it was almost love at first sight. He barely kept his composure as he answered her, especially since she addressed Gray a certain way.

"I see, so he's with that hothead and the others," he replied, then introduced himself. "I am Lyon Vastia, and I wouldn't exactly say that Gray and I are friends, but we did study under the same teacher."

Curious about Juvia's familiarity, he asked her in return. "Are you a friend of Gray's then?" She seemed to know Gray's team decent enough it seemed, and in a way he did owe them, though he would never admit it outright, especially in front of Gray.

Juvia turned her attention to the voice. She'd never seen him before, but he seemed to be familiar with Gray, and that alone was enough to catch her interest. "No. Gray-sama's actually out on a job right now. He left a couple of hours ago along with Natsu and friends." The water mage responded promptly. "Are you one of Gray-sama's friends?" She asked, rather curious about his relationship to Gray. Considering she'd only been around there for a short time, she didn't know many people.

5. (BP) Hiroshi: Oh man, Fairy Tail, Lamina Scale, and Blue Pegasus working together again huh. This brings me back to when we teamed up against Oracion Seis! Nostalgic, isn’t it?

6. (FT) Gray: It’s these Weakness Machines again from Alvarez, but there’s a lot more of them this time in this foreign kingdom, enhanced by ice dragon lacrima too. What deal did you make with that King, to stop Lucy’s arranged marriage to him, Kaito?

7. (FT) Mest: We all agreed it was best to wipe their memories back then, sometimes all the magic in the world can’t stop what is meant to be.

8. (LS/Prince) Sakurai(us): Begone, traitor. It is my duty as Prince to cut down the kingdom’s enemies, even if it is my former knight.

Oh no!

It was bad enough that she'd lost that bet to someone she'd once considered a love rival... but to stumble upon the current object of her affection whilst trying to find a place to hide away from shame was enough to fluster the rain woman!

What was Lyon going to think? She didn't want him to think she was crazy! Or that she was reverting back to her crazy ways to win over affection. She was better than this!

"A-Aaahhhh!!! J-Juvia's sorry!!!" She stammered, trying to cover herself as much as possible, though obviously not doing the best job, all things considered. "I-It's not what you think... Juvia just lost a bet?" She offered as an explanation.

"Juvia!" Lyon stammered in shock as he bumped into Juvia, who was completely naked. At first, he thought maybe she was a nudist, but a proper one wouldn't be that embarrassed over it.

"Here," he offered his cloak so Juvia could cover herself better, looking away from her to give her some privacy.

"If you don't mind me asking, what was the bet, and to whom did you lose it to?" Lyon was already planning on how to help Juvia, including getting revenge for what happened to her.

Juvia paused as she looked over at Lyon from where she sat across from him. The Rain woman smiled as she tucked a bookmark into the book she was reading. "Lyon-kun thinks that highly of of Juvia?" He had her attention with those words. It seemed almost odd considering they were on a joint job and they were supposed to be looking information up.

But she thought about it a little more as her smile softened. "Juvia is grateful that she has Lyon-kun in her life. Friendship has always been hard for Juvia to have until Fairy Tail. So Juvia cherishes all that count her as friends." She reached across as she pat Lyons hand gently. "So Juvia agrees... Lyon-kun is the same for Juvia."

“Of course, I think higher of you than even some of my guildmates as well,” Lyon replied, he’d include Gray too but that was pushing it. Master Ooba was pressuring Lyon to be with a star female mage for more fame and glory for Lamina Scale, especially since Lyon himself was rising in popularity.

Associating with Fairy Tail was risky, their own reputation infamous especially with the council. But Lyon did not mind, he worked best with some of the guild members too including Juvia and Gray if they had to go on joint quests like this one now. “I see, I’m glad to hear that, Juvia,” Lyon smiled back happily that it was the same for Juvia too. His initial crush on Juvia aside, Lyon wanted to build upon their friendship first, all the more better if she fell in love with him in the process, as he was for her already.

“I just wanted to express that while we are alone, I suppose we should get back to work,” the Ice Mage stood up and went to look for another book to read through for their current job together.

“I see, then I suppose ice cream is your favourite then, if not a particular flavour of it.” Lyon replied with a nod, damn it he wanted to get Wendy’s favourite flavour of ice cream out of her before they reached the ice cream parlour! Guess at this rate, he’d just have her choose what she wanted first then buy it for her.

Even though it was just a rumor, Kagura was not amused by such lewd and crude insinuations. Yes, Shiro was probably just stirring up trouble as usual, but was it true? Or was he just starting trouble? A heavy sigh and furrowed brow awaited Lyon’s response impatiently.

“Oh? Well…” The Ace of Lamia Scale was not an objectifying fool from what she could tell. His reputation was quite prestigious and anything so crude could only be concocted by that troublesome Exceed. “I… I suppose I overreacted. I should know better than to believe anything that idiot feline says. It is quite flattering if I’m being honest…” She took several steps forward and reached out to rest a hand on Lyon’s shoulder. “Perhaps we could grab a bite to eat to.. clear the air?”

Kaito’s mischievous Exceed Shiro was at it again, so Lyon decided that he won’t hold anything back on him later, even if he was partners with the Ice Dragon Slayer (Kaito) that was also fellow disciple of Ul like him. But that didn’t matter, it was Kagura’s reaction that mattered, he had to be clear with his intentions at least.

“Well we both have seen our fair share of his impulsive mischief, he is not a complete liar, but likes to twist the truth in his favour.” He stated, knowing the majority of the rumours Shiro spread came from the smallest of misunderstandings for his benefit later.

“Clear the air? That would be nice, Kagura.” Lyon kept a slight nod as he tired to keep his nerves settled, he was relieved that she was not mad at him for what happened. But now they were going to eat together, that was a step he did not expect, even if it was in the right direction. 

He let out a light sigh as he let himself calm down more, he shouldn’t stress over things more than he had to. “Is there a place around here that you frequent or recommend?” Lyon asked her to start conversion, playing dumb with knowing more than he let on.

1. Sakurai x Ember: My second OTP of this blog, even if the tags keep on reverting back to a ship lmao. Just a simple interaction/topic at a flower shop blossomed into a great ship with these two FT next gen OCs! We’ve covered a lot with them already, and I look forward to doing more and continuing/finishing the threads (including AUs) we started!

2. Sakurai & Kazuto: I am super happy with the BroTP bond to be we have set up for them, especially with the parallels and differences between them and their face claims (SAO’s Eugeo & Kirito) haha. Looking forward to doing my own spin on Kazuto through drabbles and such as well!

3. Sakurai & Kaito: Used their relationship to show that Kaito is not as perfect as I make him out to be, even with his character development over his teenage years. Kaito is a very overprotective father figure, which led to such extreme consequences this time (Ember getting kidnapped easier later). Kaito later accepts that he can’t protect his adopted daughter forever, he has to let her go, and leave it to her boyfriend after he proves himself in battle, gifting him an ice dragon lacrima made flower sword too to mark it.

4. Sakurai & Natsu: Similar with Kaito but not as extreme, Natsu just wants to make sure Sakurai can protect his daughter Ember. Natsu challenged Sakurai to a fight once and lost because he let his guard down lmao, so Sakurai technically got Natsu’s approval from that haha.

5. Sakurai & Lyon: Lyon I’ve used (as his Guild Master of Lamina Scale), to set things up in the background where their guild is concerned, also with his friendship with Kaito as being Ul’s student as well. He’s the one that allowed Ember to join Lamina Scale in the first place, also convincing Kaito to not take matters into his own hands either after she did against his wishes haha.

Gray was resting against a boulder after returning from a job he accepted. Sensing another presence near him he looked over to see it was Lyon. Curious to know what the other ice mage was doing around these parts. He stood up and stretched his muscles, letting out a yawn. “ What brings you  around here Lyon? “He asked the other whilst waiting for a response.

“Well it’s good to see you too, Gray.” Lyon greeted his old friend and fellow disciple of Ul, not too surprised to bump into him while he was visiting. “I am actually heading back to Lamina Scale after finishing a job, I decided to visit Fairy Tail on my way passing through,” he explained. Actually it was so he could ‘accidentally’ bump into Juvia, but Gray didn’t need to know about that, yet.

“You look tired, were you training?” Lyon asked curiously, Gray’s yawn not going unnoticed by the Ice Wizard.

“OOMF!” Gyrain grunted out as he was slammed and shattered into a wall. Aside from the pain, knowing Lyon had that kind of strength was… Intriguing. He fell to the ground with a thud, groaned, and got up.

“S-Sorry… I just, uh… There was some peanut butter on your cheek.” He said, rolling his shoulder. “Owww… Jeez man, you’re even more ripped than you look! What do you bench?”

It shouldn’t be a surprise how strong Lyon was, of course naturally he was at least better than Gray when it came to hand to hand combat too. “Peanut butter? Really? Don’t play dumber than you look! What could have possibly prompted you to do that?!” The Ice Mage demanded, icy magical power surging through his hand.

Lyon was caught off guard with what Kagura heard, and hopefully misheard. “Damn Kaito’s stupid cat...” He muttered under his breath before clearing his throat, he might as well be honest. “Well, you heard right. I did say that, however I mean it in a sense that you are indeed that attractive to be considered, Kagura.” 

He hoped she would take it as a compliment then bowed his head a little in apology. “I apologise if that was out of line, I did not mean any disrespect. I have much respect for you, as a fellow mage and rival.” Lyon added just to be clear, and safe.

"LYON'S and tigers and bears! Oh my! Get it? Get it?" Gyrain said, nudging Lyon in the side.

Lyon did not understand why this idiot was still following him around like some sidekick, maybe he should get a restraining order on him? There was only so much he could tolerate, especially Gyrain’s very bad punny jokes. “Yes, I get it, now get lost.” The Ice Mage told him as he walked further ahead, hopefully away from him.
