Like every other fan art I see, has them with thin eyes and round face.

And more often than not it’s clearly not because of the artists style (although sometimes that’s the case) because they have CC or someone else with them and they have different facial features.

I'm just going to say that I agree 120% with what was said about empathy and respect for the new cultures that are gonna be add to the server. But I think it's also good to clarify that this goes both ways. We are all going to be exposed to new things and we have to let our guard down a little to try to understand each other. It always comes down to empathy and respect. Members and communities that are currently involved with the server can screw up without even realizing it, just as new members can screw up. We are humans. The thing is to take a deep breath and, as long as there is no bad intention behind it, talk about things like adults. With patience and empathy.

The other day, I was doomscrolling on Reddit when I bumped into a post about CC and after reading and interacting in the comments I felt that people judge her too harshly and they don't really understand her character 😭

C'mon, guys, two wrongs don't make one right. No, CC didn't deserve to be bullied all the time. There were pranks that IRL would be interpreted as assault! Besides, she was often insulted just for being her. Yeah, she was the main antagonist and yeah, she had a rather unpleasant personality (especially in the first seasons). Like, it's a moot point to discuss that, but the "good people" also had their shortcomings lol Sometimes they also acted selfish or were kinda of aloof (quick examples here, Fran post-season 3 and her obsession with the "take it back"... and now I reference it, Max's emotional immaturity too. Fran sometimes wasn't a good "bestie" for Val...). Yet, their faults are overlooked while CC's ones are not.

She is what she is, but, to quote herself, "I'm not a well woman". Do you expect a person of her social class, who was basically raised by nannies (divorced and "busy" parents who compensated with throwing a lot of money, standoffish siblings), to become a nice woman and for that bullying is justified? CC's treatment by the audience is a little bit unfair, imo 🥺

Kih’ori’vod: little big brother (different from ori’kih’vod which means tiny brother)

Gar’gotal ner mav’cuyi: roughly, you manufactured a way to free me. lit. You create my freedom (mav being free and cuyi being exist)

Gar buir ru’juri skira: roughly, your father was burdened by revenge. Lit. Your parent carried revenge.

N’cuyi harycne viini goyust ures kyr: roughly, I won’t become exhausted running a path without an end. Lit not exist (most) tired running path without end.

Just one thing I haven't seen talked about when the french CCs can't participate in an event is that a lot of french people don't have a very good English and the French POVs are the only ones they can watch because none of the other CCs put their translations to french. So telling them to just watch the VODs won't solve the problem

theres a lot of reasons why i wish my parents pushed harder with making me learn how to read and write chinese/i had taken it seriously, but one of them is that i want to be able to talk shit(especially on twitter) without anyone being able to understand me and at best google translate will give them something completely nonsensical or much tamer than whats actually said

I agree with the majority of your post, and I appreciate that you have an interest in cults but linking it back to one is like. Not accurate at all

look, I don't want to claim that fandoms are Textbook Cults nowadays. I am just pointing out that a lot of the behaviours are very cult-like, to a worrying degree, and the way people, especially young people or people who have not been in fandoms prior to this one, fall right into the deepest depths of the worst that fandom has to offer. I don't know what exactly you meaan by "not accurate at all", so I won't really get into it, but my point from the original post still stands. a lot of the most concerning behaviours is the same as we see in cults, and this is not a wow angry tumblr user mocks the twitter users, I am genuinely concerned.

cults are much more complicated than that. I know that. but a lot of the behaviours Are Still Cultlike.
