Hello again to all my cannabis loving and cannabis-curious friends, and welcome to the first Cannabis Company of the Month post for 2021! This month we will be highlighting K1Productions, or K1-P, which is a cannabis candle and body oil organization. This venture was birthed when husband and wife team Jazmine Lopez and Joe Ruiz began working with the leftover cannabis leaves from their plants to create epoxy art.

One day the team had an epiphany, and decided to see what would happen if the leaves were preserved in wax. Through this realization, K1-P began to create a new niche in the cannabis world. Starting out their venture in 2017, K1-P became a registered business in the state of California in 2019. Currently, Jazmine and Joe handle all operations related to K1-Productions.

In addition to their normal operations, the husband and wife team are also very focused on giving back to the community. Currently, they are focusing on homeless youth and single mothers. During the initial part of the pandemic K1-P “purchased food and shelter supplies to many people staying outside due to the overpacked shelters. They made emergency red bags for those staying outside during the cold nights.”

In addition to their charity, their products are absolutely amazing. Their larger candles and each body product come in a heavy duty glass jars. The scents range from forest to desserts, with musky scented candles in between. Their candles include large candles in jars to tart candles. Every season Jazmine and Joe revamp their website and products to match that time of year.

After personally trying several of their products, I can say I’ve been pleasantly surprised with each batch. The candles could not be closer to their product profiles if they were staring at the real thing. For example, the Creme brûlée made the entire house smell like this dessert, and leaves your house smelling like a specialty bakery. The CBD profiles are on point as well. Although you may not notice the effects right away, they quickly become noticeable when I don’t burn the candle vs when I do. I feel more relaxed, upbeat, and I find that I feel more even-keel after spending a few hours with these candles burning. I noticed when I don’t, I find myself more tense, and after a few days I notice a difference in my mood and mannerisms.

Needless to say, this company is an up and coming star in the world of the cannabis industry. With every batch they work to improve their products, and this is easy to see with each new product they release. Ultimately, it is not just their products that keep me coming back, but it is also the experience I have had working with Jazmine and Joe.
