fuck that ! im gonna talk about them deadboyz!! shame is for the WEAK

overall:

belong to a much less known subsidiary company of jinhit no jgs isn’t worth the joke entertainment. if they were in any other company they would be super rookies but jgs is keeping them in the basement and it’s not even his own basement

initially i think there were some high stakes in it for jgy...? something like ‘you produce the songs and make their chores and if you flop you’ll never be on stage again’ but?? i don’t know now tbh

would have been really popular (they are Good) but less known company, etc, and also some rumors around the time of their debut made it so they’re only knows because ��they’re kinda good at dancing aren’t they’

general concept is uh... cool dudes, kinda fucky but not too much...? gotta think about the baby (a-yu)

THE MEMBERS: meng yao (leader, main dancer, vocalist), wen chao (oldest, main rapper), su she (main vocal, dancer), xue yang (rapper, dancer, unofficially: moodmaker, if by ‘mood’ you understand ‘horror at whatever has just come out of his hellish mouth), wen ning (dancer, vocalist, sometimes rapper), mo xuanyu (vocalist, the Baby™)

MENG YAO:

leader, single-handedly responsible for making these rowdy boys (wc&xy) stop wanting to kill each other

has probably auditioned for every single company there is. was in the nie company for a bit, but it was still a mess freshly after the previous owner, nmj’s father, has died, nmj has struggled (being a producer, not a businessman) so when it turned out they’d have to let some trainees go, the other trainees made it so meng yao was the one to leave. then he temporarily was at wrh’s company where he got kind-of-semi-famous as one of wen qing’s main back dancers (the one she’s interacted with the most) during her last performance. then the company went kaputt and jgs has snatched him off for himself, and then... put him... in the basement.... for two years... after which he gave him a chance, and voila

insanely hard-working. an all-rounder. mainly he excels at dancing, but his vocal and rap skills also Fuck. persona? impeccable. he’s learning to write and compose his own songs and he’s doing well, but he can’t even upload his stuff on soundcloud, because... you know why. has doubled as a manager in their early days. also, dimples.

the fans had tried to make a dad/mom dynamic with him and uh... wen chao...? since they were the oldest and pretty much the opposites, but quickly gave up and he’s now simply known as yao-ge due to his stern but loving persona. (yao-jie, sometimes)

DOES do the split. it was his rookie trick for a year after they debuted, but he simply is just like that. one show host asked him “is there definite proof that you have bones?“ and meng yao only shrugged humbly

WEN CHAO

oldest, has been a trainee for the longest time, hasn’t debuted because... well... he wasn’t good... and that was because he’s felt too safe in his dad’s company. WELL ABOUT THAT,

his older brother wen xu has debuted Long before him, but after a few years his group disbanded, he moved on to modeling and then stopped after a couple of years, too. (he got married.)

you know how i said their image is ‘cool, a bit fucky’? well, he’s 40% of that fuckiness. he’s been told again and again that idols aren’t supposed to date/have dating experience, but he still can’t get the hang of it

yes, he and jiaojiao were an item back in the wen days. she’s a trainee at some other company now but they still hook up sometimes

initially was intent on maintaining a cool, calm and collected image... then he met xue yang and threw that idea outta the window. paradoxically, they’re interesting together, not only as rappers but also as... high-energy, chaotic energy makers of the group...

this is a happy au, so: initially he’s thought everything is bullshit, these talentless fucks are dumb and he should already be a top idol. by the time of their debut, he agrees that meng yao is one crafty motherfucker. a year after their debut, if anything happened to any of his boys, yes even xue yang, he would kill everyone in the room, etc, etc BUT YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THAT.

SU SHE

unfortunately, was added before their first comeback (second release) and therefore controversial. fortunately, his vocal completes the group’s image and musical flavour

was a trainee in yinshen ent where he really admired their top idol, lan wangji, until... he got to know him (?) when they were sent to compete in a survival show and decided lan wangji ain’t shit and is, in fact, a stuck-up self-centered bitch. the survival show crashed (unrelatedly), but still some serious words were exchanged. during Some Company Problems, quite a lot of trainees have left, but he was the one who left with a Bang.

joined that one subsidiary of jin ent because of meng yao, who, just like in canon, recognized him, said he loved him in (song he’s performed in the survival show) and with this he cemented his position as su she’s new Boy Who Makes Him Go !!!!.

slowly replaced meng yao as The Man Who Does This Face at the other lads’ rowdy behaviour.

fans remember he was :/ at lan wangji, so his persona wouldn’t work anyway, but he does make quite a convincing kind dude-next-door.

stubborn side of the fandom’s next candidate for the mom member, because... he’s ridiculously prepared and reliable. who carries hydrogen peroxide in their daily use backpack? this boy !

most popular member, but everyone likes him for different reasons and has a different uhhh headcanon about potentially dating him. bad boy xue yang/cute bratty didi xue yang/sweet boyfriend xue yang, etc, etc

no one knows how, but apparently he knows the iconic duo from a small company, xiao xingchen and song lan...? or rather, song lan pretends not to know or notice him, meanwhile xiao xingchen is very cute when they’re interacting, and basically it prompts a lot of dating rumors, especially since they’ve been spotted having hotpot.

WEN NING

su she was the one to join last, but actually it’s wen ning who’s the least popular member. i’m just so quiet that people don’t notice me, haha, he says while being 180cm tall and having killer charisma when he dances

seriously, what’s up with that? it’s almost like he’s a different person, a possessed one to add to that. huh!

in contrast, his voice is very gentle and even cute, and he often sings quietly to himself. sometimes to other members (there’s a video of him singing what seems to be a lullaby to mxy), sometimes to little animals (there’s a video of him singing to a tiny frog he’s found during a walk). gentle boyfriend wen ning but it’s CANON

in contrast to the contrast, he doesn’t rap often, but when he does, it’s like... who’s that?? another member??? dualism king

when wc/xy cause problems on purpose, he doesn’t react/allows them to tease him/slap his ass/bump into him when they’re fighting. he seems like a calm, gentle guy so when they’re in a variety show and it’s Time For A Punishment, of course he gets to decide/wield the squeaky hammer, WHEREUPON ‘yang-ge, three weeks ago you ate my yoghurt even though i specifically asked you not to, so...’ (whacks xy’s ass into next tuesday)

Not something funny but something VERY IMPORTANT. AH admitting that they all fucked up and how shitty their behavior was when dealing with harassment in the fanbase. People were racist, sexist, homophobic, misogynistic, and just downright horrible to a lot of the employees at RT and AH. This came up after Mica Burton left the company and talked about it publicly and how nothing was done about it. Fiona who also experiences these same things, along with Lindsay and other employees, but Fiona took the charge on the Off Topic talking about people can’t continue to get away with that behavior. She got to sound off her feelings to a group of white men who all respected her and LISTENED to what was saying and how she felt. She cried; Geoff cried. They all want to do more, so this doesn’t happen in the future and they’re not tolerating the racist and horrible comments. AH taking a mature moment to talk about how they failed to stop these comments and Geoff was right when he said the company has a long way to go.

Outside of AH each member has more to them than just all of the comedy and laughs and dumb shit they do

Geoff helped found Roosterteeth and Achievement Hunter. He has a beautiful daughter in Millie who is awesome in her own right. He’s a recovering alcoholic. Currently doing F**k Face podcasts. Was in the fucking army. Takes accountability for every mistake he makes.

Jack also helped start Achievement Hunter. He does so much work for charity. His twitter is full of things to help people go vote. He’s like the dad to AH, especially Fiona. He’s happily married to his wife Caiti.

Michael was an electrician and has a lot of handy man experience. He made a few videos online about him raging at games and that got the attention of RT. He’s currently married to Lindsay who he met because of RT. They have two kids together.

Gavin is an expert at high speed filmmaking and know how use and edit footage from a slow-motion camera. He has worked on actual films. One of the creators of the Slow Mo Guys. Worked his ass off to get to work for RT. Currently dating model and cosplayer Meg Turney

Lindsay flips between being the mom of the group and a complete chaos queen and we all love her for it. She started as an editor for the RT podcast and then AH stuff. She is an incredible voice actor, most known for Ruby Rose (RWBY), Space Kid (Camp Camp), Hilda (Xray & Vav) just to name a few. She also has a degree in finance

Jeremy started as a fan who made videos on the community page. He took over Ray’s place after Ray left to do Twitch full time. He is a self-published author and a skilled rapper and singer. He’s currently married to his wife, Kat.

Matt also started as a fan making videos on the community page. He actually interacted and made stuff for the guys in really early Minecraft episodes. Seriously this guy is like king of Minecraft. He has a degree in electrical engineering. He also has pretty decent singing voice.

Trevor is THE BOSS. Has a degree in aero-space engineering and is getting paid to babysit AH. Currently dating Barbara Dunkelman, RTs queen of puns.

Alfredo worked at IGN before RT and is a well-known streamer. He is the best when it comes to first person shooter games. He and Trevor look so similar.

Fiona. Po. Her majesty. Host of This Just Internet. A Twitch streamer. Baby of the bunch. Grew up in Europe. Her and Gav act like a pair of siblings. She has stated and showed time and time again she will fight for people to have safe spaces for anyone who needs them.

Ify, our new guy. He is wonderful and I want to stay forever. He’s a comedian, a writer, and an actor. Co hosts F-ing Around with Fiona. Has his own film podcast, Who Shot Ya? I look forward to more content with him in it, cause everything he’s been in so far has been great.

We have all these wonderful moments and a lot more that I didn’t list and this incredible team of personalities with their own accomplishments and achievements. Not to mention old team members who were also great additions and the entire crew behind the scenes editing and making videos look the best that they can.

Here’s to Achievement Hunter and to this community. We need to be here for each other in times like these.

Hello, I forgot to check if you answered my question however I am here to now: r.a.n.t So. My ult bias in svt is Vernon, lil bean. However, I am disloyal af and have too much love to only give it to one person in a group. Therefore my biases are ~also~ (in no particular order) Joshua, woozi, Dino, mingyu, jeonghan (more like spirit animal). Bias wreckers cause if different reasons : SCouPs, that man is gonna kill me. Wonwoo, where did he come from? Where will he go? My heart most likely. Also

(2) Lowkey, do has been wrecking me. Like not fully but he's there... This is starting to become a skz situation where everyone is just your bias, like I have a lot of love but not that much money..... Anyway, imma start with saying why SCouPs is wrecking me cause I cannot for the life of me get over why. It's hip-hop team stage where he has red hair, I believe it's lotto they're performing (I'm seriously bad with titles) and his growl is just :3 like,awakens something in me

I got a weak spot for producers and rappers (I got into K-pop cause of August D) also my friends have called me out on having more cat face biases than any other face types (idk if it's taboo to talk about face type but to us it's just like, some have brown hair others have blonde and so on) (like you can change it with make up same you can change hair colour with dye) and like woozi is such an obvious ult bias for me and yet. There came Vernon with his lil smile and adorable reactions

(4) And he just, like if I had gotten into svt first before Agust D then I would probably ult Vernon. Like the only loyalty I have is to SUGA, but my god Vernon is challenging that his apartment in my head xD (they both live there rent free) Also I recently discovered that a lot of my childhood guilty pleasure songs that I thought were in English (I'm not native so back then I couldn't understand eng) were actually in Korean. So apparently I'm a huge fan of beast, tvxq and hot

“Here we go! MGA season 5 has arrived my lovelies, I decided to stream me watching it so we can all watch it together. I love to see your comments throughout the first episode too! I know a lot of my friends applied for the show so I can’t wait to see what they did for their audition!” Minhee sent up the stream with a small video showing the episode she was watching on the computer screen. It was so exciting she really couldn’t wait to see what is going to happen on the first episode plus it was the first time she ever has done something like this for her channel too. The flashes of hopefuls she could recognize a few familiar faces which made her smile, “Hwaiting everyone...it must be so nerve whacking audition for shows like this, it shows how brave all these potential winners are...heh...oh! look it’s big five ceos!” she decided to help herself some nice frozen yogurt while she watches the ceo talk amongst themselves in the beginning not really commenting expect how nice her frozen yogurt is.

“Seriously?! 100 contestants?! That’s amazing! I do feel kind of feel bad for the ceos having to sit through so many auditions...you better hope your audition stands out cause it could be easily forgotten among the 100 audition tapes.” The female watches the show intently, “Yo? Isn’t that very informal? Is Lee Hohyeon American maybe? He got a lot of confidence, I give him that.” The next contestant appears quickly after that making her giggle as the animal impressions, “I like Kim Seungmin! Very cute! Hyunbin sunbae don’t be so mean~! Yo-yo isn’t easy to do, I wish I could be able to do something like that maybe contact him for lessons~” she continues on watching the show seeing the clip of their main performance, “Out of the two boys I think I prefer Seungmin cause he suits more my tastes but they are both very talented~ I like Hohyeon flow he got potential but I don’t know much about rapping so I can elaborate on that matter. Seungmin got lovely voice maybe does need some vocal training to get it nice and tight...but I’m rooting for you Seungmin!” she cheered happily as she continues on with the rest of the episode.

Eyes widen in surprise by the fierce dancing of Chaeryoung on the screen, “Wow...she actually scared me. I was really surprised but yeah I like her passion! You go girl~” she chuckled as see to be an agreement with Jiyoung and the ceos. Part of her is hoping maybe Jiyoung will keep on her eye and steal her away to Sphere. They do always need some more dancers into the fold but up next was Choi Yoona, she really did look like a singer-songwriter but clearly, she surprised everyone as starts to rap. “Huh, I bet Gray would like her, they would work well together. There is so many talented girls...they are really bringing it this year...oh my goodness! I would love to work with her too, girls gotta support other girls!” she really was impressed by the lyrics of the song too. “Ah, how am I suppose to pick my favorite this season?!” she whined as continue on with the show smiling at the next one called Jeon Heejin. It was quite chill compare to the other audition, she had a really soothing tone. “She’s very pretty just like her voice, not bad~” Minhee couldn’t help but agree with Katie Lee, “She’s right, the girls are doing amazing!” The female clapped together as she watches the short clips of Hwang Yeji, Jo Yuri and Zhou Jiqeong. “Dance battle between Chaeryoung and Yeji please cause that would be amazing to watch, just saying...These girls...I like Yuri..I wish I could have seen more of the performance..but out of the three girls in the clip...Zhou Jiqeong I think I am in love~ so elegant, I think she is my favorite girl so far~” she put her hand on her hand as she does love ballet even though she never really dance it herself but she loves watching it.

The show continues on showing off the boys with a lovely emotional song from Kim Hyojin, she smiled and nodded being impressed by it to being awe to being surprised by the flip of Park Woojin. “Wow! That’s so cool! Again again...” she blinks for a second when sees a familiar face on the screen, “Changbin! I know him, he is doing great!! Hwaiting Changbin~! I hope he does well on the show~ this is amazing...who knows who else will show up~” The little thing between Katie Lee and Hyun Bin made her laugh as it seems Katie was all about the girls this season. Either way, she was proud of Changbin changing up the lyrics what not, it was impressive. “Boys, boys, boys! So many lovely boys!” she cheered as she watches the clips of chwe hansol, takada kenta and yoon jeonghan. Minhee looks completely puzzled by their performances but she liked it. Hansol was rapper which is pretty cool, she couldn’t keep her eyes off Kenta she was memorized by the performance then finally Jeonghan performance was good. The girl nose creased up in disgust with the whole lemon fisaco. Finally, a cute girl speaking Japanese, how cute, “Awe Kokoro she looks so cute! I wonder if she is friends with Sakura~ but Tiger JK got a point though...a special skill shouldn’t be like instrument or language based but something to keep people intrigued” she said it quite confident since it was variety month after all and they told us they weren't allowed to do any of those things for their special skill.

It looks like it was the variety time of the show with the video showing off different skills, it was quite amusing honestly but in truth, she wasn’t really impressed with the whole tarot cards from Yewon but she was cute. Minhee couldn’t help but laugh at the others though from the dancing fingers it was adorable so points to Jeongin. The whole kicking thing not going through on what he said he was gonna do, Seunghun didn’t impress her either but instead, “omo is he okay?!” she wondering where her friends were on the show but then Hwayoung appeared playing the piano. “Ahh! Hwayoung look at her go! She’s one of my friends, she is good right?” along with others playing the piano and the guitar plus Shin Yuna with electric. There was a lot of processes but that whole section blurred into one for Minhee sadly expect for Hwayoung standing out since she was her friend but that was it really then Lee Sunwoong appeared stealing the hearts of many viewers she assumed, “Ah, this kid is precious~ I like him. Another one I’ll keep my eye out for~” she nodded her firmly then raise her brows since the audition part of the show was finished. “Wow, that was a lot to take in, I wonder how long it took for the editors to edit this...”

The female eyebrows frowned as clearly there was a secret thing about to happen by the way they were talking. Minhee leaned forward seeming very intrigued by the whole thing. “Wow, only 50 out of the 100?! That’s harsh..I think everyone gonna need it for sure~” she bites her lip feeling nervous for the contestants. “Oh! Sakura!! There she is, looks how cute she looks...oh my that Yuri character is interesting. She reminds me of Jei in some ways~” she chuckled softly as continue to watch the show. Minhee taking in all the new faces coming into the building, “Moonbok! He’s returned on the show, he will be the black horse I reckon..bless him..there is a lot of familiar faces..” once she said that she heard the voice over, Minhee cluck her tongue in a disapproving manner, “Aish who does that girl think she is? You tell her Nakyung~!” she continues onwards noticing one of the truly memorable characters of last season “Kang Daniel...ah I heard so much about it last time, he seems to popular one among my friends. I wonder what he will bring the table this time~” she noted looking quite impressed. “Empty Engima...I heard my brother mentioned something about that once but I wasn’t listening...turns out I should have clearly~ This feels like it gonna be good season~”

Ha Sungwoon bluntness made her laugh saying on the reason why he was big, she does love it when people come back and try again once more. “I like him just say it how it is~” she chuckled softly then it moves on to see Bae Joohyun return, “OH! I hope she wins it this year, it would be her third time right? Third time lucky, I say~” it looks like Minhee is quite invested to the people this season compared to the last one. The moment she spots Mason appearing on the television, Minhee burst out in laughter “Wow, Mason you got balls to come on this show. Ah, my brother will be proud of you. The first ex-idol on MGAs I can see that headline coming, he looks so relax and carefree too. What even~” she shook her head in complete utter disbelief she is still a little sad about him leaving sphere in general but he looks happy so that’s a good thing overall.

It was time for judges to come to play, she couldn’t help but giggle at their reactions especially two of them were her friends, Myungsoo & Joohyuk. “Oh come on boys, close your mouths or flies will go into it~” she chuckled softly as she listens to the girl had to say, “Can I say? She’s really pretty, great visuals honestly. Modeling will do her some good, I reckon.” Minhee couldn’t help but compliment Chong Tingyan appearance since she was stunning. “Ah, it’s tarot card girl! Awwe, she is very precious~” she smiled listen to the Hyun Bin fan club talk amongst themselves. “I don’t really see the appeal to CEO Hyun Bin but if that their cup of tea. I am not one to judge them~” she chuckled lightly as she keeps watching the episode. It finally goes to the part where she gets to really see what the contestants are made of, she clasp her hands together with a smirk, “It’s showtime~ I wonder who else will impress me~”

“Oh, Yuri is back.I can’t wait to see what is going to do...Wow she is going for it huh? Yes Yuri Yuri Yuri!” she chanted happily as she enjoys the performance before seeing Ryujin appeared on the stage. “Ah! It’s a dancer girl, she is an amazing dancer I seen in person so...let see what she is made of...heh..Oh damn..she is going for it! Yes Im loving this!!” she felt so pumped from that audition clapping along with the song. Time for the boys starting Lee Jaeyoon she was intrigued by his choice of the song couldn’t help but be a little bit confused but she dig it, sort of. Onto the next one, it was Kim Woojin. “Yes!! Nice song choice Woojin!” the girl happily sang along to the song since she loves Royal Pirates especially this song. “I keep drawing line~” she happily jammed away putting in the good mood for the next one. Myou Mina was up next giving her blessing cover of cry cry from t-ara, “Ah nice choice Mina, not bad at all~” she judged the performance a lot more since it was ballad song. Minhee serious expression quickly brightens spotting her Tzuyu who she used to babysit, “I use to babysit this lovely lady...oh I hope she does well...oooh this song...not sure if she shouldn’t pick this baby girl~” she bite her lip watching the performance holding her breath as felt so nervous for her dear friend. Jung Eunji turns it seems Mason wasn’t the only ex-idol on the show, she was curious wanting to know about what the group she was originally in so she could do some background research. “Wow, she radiates a lot of confidence so it works in a favor..this is good! I like it~” she gave her nod of approval before it moves onto the next set of contestants. It seems it is the return of the boys once again.

“Huang Guanheng~ That’s fun name to pronounce...Ok..he here goes...oh wow I never heard this song before..I like it...cause don’t know it...It is like an original song to me. Cool. Not bad Huang, good playing on the electric guitar.” Minhee bop along to the performance like many before then cheers happily “Seokjin!! Ah, I’m glad he is on the show..also expect a collab coming soon with this face right there! For now, let’s see what he brings to the table~” she leans in curiously wondering what he had in store for us to watch. “Wow, he went for it. Brave move Jin! This isn’t my usual cup of tea but I can appreciate it~” cause she is way far from hip-hop style. “Tarot girl has returned to the stage, I’m curious about what she going to do, she looks like a singer to me. Very cute singer so who knows~” she leans back to listen to the performance, minhee cringe a little, “oh sweetie ~ this is not good~ oh boy...at least your dancing is good..but other things is not good but she got potential, she can get better if she work on it~ if you are watching this kim yewon let me teach you a few things ok?” she took a deep breath and went onto the next one. “Oh! I saw her early at least she won’t be terrible...Oh Mama~ Yes, she looks so happy. Okay...not bad...cherish me chaeryoung nice~” the female hands starts to dance along with this infectious song then claps once it was over. “Right...who’s next...oh my she is very tall..is she part of the giants race?” she joked lightly with a small giggle but she certainly grabbed everyone attention being the tallest female but she wanted to know what she could do. “Wow, she is not only tall but she is talented...” she remarked as she watching the performance as loves the mashup being used too, there was a lot of dancers this year which is cool too then it was time for Minhee to blow away by the lovely ballad from Yoon Jeonghan she looks like she completely in awe with that boy's voice. Minhee didn’t say anything just nodded with an appeased look written over her face. The first thing Minhee did when Kang Yeosang came onto the stage said that he is singing a song which is friend wrote, she couldn’t help but awe for him and hope he did well. “Nice husky voice....it needs some work for..but it is nice tone...the rapping is amazing though. Yeosang should keep to rapping more, I like his rapping. Come collab with me Yeosang! Rappers are always needed, heh.” Minhee nods her head to the beat as love the lyrics of the song as well so whatever wrote this, kudos to them. “oh? The girl wiping the tear? Did she write the song? Wow, that’s amazing~” she really was enjoying this episode so far.

“Song Yuqi! You are a bright person! You made me smile already~” she loves people who always so cheerful like Yuqi so she was excited to see what she had to offer too. Minhee couldn’t help but smile as this song really put the mood up as it was such a cheeky song. Once again the trainee was dancing in her chair while laughing happily before being surprised by the next contestant with these cute tricks, “This girl is cute! I feel like I will get confused with these two Yewon girls in the show...I wonder if I wouldn’t be the only one. I like it so even made the CEO smile, it is precious!” she stated happily as she carried on to see what will happen next. Watanabe Haruto performance completely baffled the yell out of Minhee she generally looked confused and concerned for the person on the show, she wasn’t even sure what to say. The show went on Minhee always look so proud when she spots one of her friends on the show about to perform especially when Yena appeared on the screen she is always so entertaining she is truly is the life of the party. She had a feeling that she might be a fan favorite among the netizens which is completely understandable, she is too lovable not to love. There were so many talented performances she couldn’t help but be impressed by them all even though she did always cheer a little louder when Sakura & Moonbok did their performance. It felt endless by the number of contestants going on the show doing their best to impressed, “Go Hwayoung! Go Jinkyung! Go Hoseok!” she forever chanted at the friends of her while being intrigued or in awe with the rest of the performances. There were a few faces who she ends up becoming fans of by the end of all it but she truly couldn’t figure out of these 100 contestants..who would be the lucky 50? “Ah, there are so many wonderful contestants...how can they pick just 50?!” it was nail-biting as waited to see whether her friends made it through or not. As Tiger JK revealed this year contestants, Minhee expression forever changed to the reaction of the names.

“Oh no, so many of my friends didn’t make it...I’m sorry sweeties...maybe next time ok? Never give up!! But now, I want to let you know on who’s my favorites from people who I know & cherish to the ones who I generally like from what I have seen from the show. It will be posted on my instagram later on today but for now..I think I need some good rest after this. So, good night my beautiful humans! I’ll see you next time!! I generally prefer second generation??? I think????? Tell me a fun childhood story (I’ll start! One time an aunt gave me money to buy ‘papas’ (potatoes) at the grocery store so bc I’m obedient af I went and asked the counter lady how many of em could I buy with the money I had so she went ‘uhh, not many tbh’ so i ended up getting like two and when I returned to my aunt’s house she laughed her ass off and said: I meant ‘papas fritas’ (potato chips) Not those! - and uh yeah this is funnier in Spanish but it proves that I’m such an innocent angel I mean wow)

ok so I spent a lot of time at my aunt Lori’s house when I was a kid (like summers, and after school) and my cousin was the BUG queen so she hand made leashes for her pet toads (that she caught) and we walked them around on leashes for like a week but I was always so afraid of them and also hurting them so I WAS NOT ABOUT THAT ahahaha dumb story but it makes me laugh alsoalsoalsdo they had this bench swing in their back yard and my cousin my sister and I would swing on it together for hours at a time and one time we were swinging real hard (REAL HARD) and the links?? or whatever that held it to the ceiling it was hanging from snapped and the three of us of us flew off of it and we all collectively blacked out??? it was so weird but I woke up to my cousin stuggling to get me off of her and then there lays my sister underneath the bench just blacked out chilling (she was fine) then my aunt came running out cause she had just heard the loudest crash ahsdfasdf not long after my uncle put stronger links on it and that bench is still there! Jin came walking out of your father’s home office, which your mother had borrowed for the private conversation, and flopped on the couch, his head landing in your lap. “How was it?”

“I think I cried,” he replied.

Suga/Yoongi: For Yoongi, Sunday afternoons that he rarely had off could be better spent curled up on the couch with you watching a movie. Instead you had dragged him to your parents house. He wasn’t objecting to meeting your parents...the fact was he just wasn’t looking forward to it.

You had told him about how your mother could be a little on the over protective side and that whenever you had mentioned him she would start questioning you about everything in the book.

The door opened and your mother was stood there a half-hearted smile on her face and she greeted the both of you. “This is must be the rapper that you’re dating...what’s your stage name again umm something wit STD in it...I can never remember. I truly hope you’re not hinting at anything...coffee anyone?”

“Best day off ever...” Yoongi sighed.

J-Hope/Hoseok: *Starts campaign to protect this ball of sunshine* “Hoseok...you really didn’t have to come with me,” you said as you headed up to the door of your childhood home. Just a few more steps and there was no way out.

“I wanted to come, jagi...plus I need to meet your parents sooner or later,” he said, his perfect smile plastered on his face.

“It’s not gonna be that-...” it was too late, he knocked on the door. Say goodbye to the sunshine...the rain cloud was arriving in the form of your mother.

When your mother opened the door Hoseok smiled at her and held up the soup pot that he had been carrying for you. “Hello Mrs. Y/L/N, I’m Hoseok...Y/N said you weren’t feeling good so we brought you soup in hopes that you feel better.”

“Do you think bringing me soup will make me like you any better Mr. “Y/N I’m out of the shower you can use it now”....I can see by your faces you didn’t realize that I heard that little conversation,” your mother said.

“I...I just used Y/N’s shower...we haven’t even done anything yet...” Hoseok said.

“Yet...and never would if I had my way...” you mother said before taking the soup pot and giving you both on parting glance before shutting the door.

“I just wanted her to like me...” he said sadly.

Rap Monster/Namjoon: “Why is my mother looking at you like you just kicked a small animal?” you questioned walking into your mother’s dining room to see him sitting at the table, your mother sending him death glares.

“I...tried to help with dinner...” he said.

“When you said his nickname was the God of Destruction cause he was clumsy...you didn’t say I had to protect everything in my house. First, I have to worry about this boy and what he’s doing with you and then I have to worry about my fine china,” your mother said, starting on a rant.

“What did you break?” you questioned.

“This expensive looking platter...” he replied.

“So...only the oldest and most valuable thing in the house,” you said, “What else?”

“I knocked over some glasses...”

“Just keep him out of my kitchen,” your mother said, “You better not be having any sort of sexual relationship because at this point I’m afraid of where things might go!” After that moment your mother continue to rant about how she couldn’t believe you had found such a destructive young and how she thought she had taught you better and blah blah blah.

“I think I’ll go take a walk,” Namjoon said, going to put on his sun glasses, only to accidentally break them in the process.

“YOU TWO ARE NEVER GETTING MARRIED!”

Jimin: For about a month you and Jimin had finally made plans to go and visit your family. His schedule really had nothing to do with the fact that you hadn’t gone yet, he had several times said he could take a couple days off for family (which you of course were to him), but it was more because of your mother.

Unlike your father, who was thrilled that his child was not only happy in their professional but love life...your mother wasn’t having any of it. Not only was she not happy that you moved to a big city at such a young age she was not happy that you were dating someone whose job kept him away for not only days but sometimes months at a time.

So when “D Day” started to creep up you started to show signs of nervousness that only made Jimin nervous.

~3:30 AM~

You had gotten up for a glass of water and headed to the kitchen and saw the living room light on. Finding it strange that the light was on on not only Jimin’s day off but the night before an important event when he should be getting sleep you started to get worried. “Jimin...why are you up, we have to catch the train at eight,” you said, seeing him hunched over a notebook, “Are you working?”

“I’m not working...I’m studying,” he said.

“For what?” you questioned.

“You told me about your grandparents, siblings, parents, their jobs, the family business, you’ve showed me pictures so I know who is who, your mother’s favorite EVERYTHINGS....I need to be ready,” he replied, “For all I know there could be a pop quiz.”

“I don’t think that-”

“You never know!”

V/Taehyung: The evening had gone surprising well. Which made you suspicious; you weren’t so suspicious about your father and Tae getting along as you were him and your mother. Your father had as much of a sick sense of humor as he did so you figured that between the two of them the laughter would be hard to control.

As for your mother, you weren’t expecting her to hug Tae and warmly welcome him to her home. On more than one occasion you had asked her “what are you up to?” only to receive a smile and her saying “Up to? Sweetheart, I’m happy for you.”

Bullshit

She was planning something; your mother had always been over protective, always scaring away anyone you brought home to meet them. Even scaring away a few friends. So as you sat down for dinner and your mother’s demeanor started to change you knew something was coming.

“So Taehyung...” she said, setting down her fork and knife.

“Yes ma’am?”

“I can see that Y/N...for some reason likes you, I can’t figure it out yet what with a job that keeps you away for so long, but I do have to tell you one thing,” he said before pointing her knife at him, “I better not find out that you have gone very far.” Your mother didn’t have to give specifics to know what she was talking about, but all the same you were completely embarrassed.

“Well ma’am...I have some bad news for you...” he started, a terrified look forming on your face.

“I would have to check Y/N’s passport, but I think I think the furthest we’ve gone is New York....”

There was silence in the room before your father burst out into laughter. ‘Well at least someone found it funny,’ you thought.

Jungkook: You had saved up for a year for this dinner. If your mother was going to meet Jungkook is was going to be in a public (but of course not too public) setting. So when your mother’s birthday came around your parents out to Seoul and you went out to dinner on her birthday.

“I can pay, you know that right,” Jungkook whispered to you, “I don’t mind treating you guys, especially on your mom’s birthday.”

“Yeah, I know...but she’ll turn it into a thing like you’re trying to impress her...just let me get this,” you whispered back, earning a nod from him.

So far the evening had been going well, and by well you considered Jungkook only getting dirty looks from your mother instead of an earful unlike what you had on the phone. Your mother was convinced that the relationship would never last with what his job was like and that he was just going to turn into some playboy. She didn’t get that past the hip thrusts that he gave on stage there was a shy boy who that after you two met in the coffee shop you worked at took some time for him to actually get the nerve to ask you on a date.

Dinner was pretty quiet, your father mainly the one to break the silence asking about both of your jobs and how they were going and asking how you had been adjusting to life in the big city over the past couple of years.

“It was hard adjusting at first since I didn’t really know anyone, but when Jungkook and I became friends and then started dating that really help since I actually had someone to talk to,” you said, looking at Jungkook and smiling.

“He better not be helping you adjust too much,” your mother chimed in.

“Mom...” you said lowly, “Don’t start.”

“You come to the city and next thing I know you have a boyfriend...he just better be aware that if he does anything with you he’ll never be able to have kids, especially not with you,” she said, looking at him with an evil grin.

Jungkook popped his head up from eating with a terrified look on his face. “Oh...well...um....”

oh dear i am not good with words..but my ultimate kpop bias is none other than Park Jimin from BTS. he became my ult after i saw them live for the first time at their Red Bullet tour in NYC in 2015 and like he was always my bias in bts but i didn’t realize how much i loved him till that concert. i guess it was just smth about seeing him in person and experiencing his stage presence in person that changed everything. it’s so hard to explain tho??? like i just look at him and all i can think of is how much i love him and want him to be happy and see him smiling all the time and all this mushy gushy crap. also he’s just the cutest sweetest little peach who loves his members so much and he’s so talented and beautiful and caring yet he’s also a little shit too but i love him no matter what and this is getting super long so i should stop before i start babbling nonsense about how much i love his smile and his eyes cause they’re two different sizes and it just makes me weak rip

so far my biased ass says BTS because Spring Day is such a beautiful song and the mv was so nice too and also Not Today is a jam and the dance is fantastic. debut-wise i dont think i’ve paid much attention to any yet ;; but i am excited for kard’s debut!!!

9. What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

my favorite thing about where i live is my mom and dad :) ok but talking seriously i think it might be the snow because i love winter and snow so much but ALSO garbage plates too cause those are delicious and i know they don’t sound appetizing but they’re good trust me (spoiler: it’s not a plate full of garbage!!)

MD3 watches Carole & Tuesday season 1 part 2

I didn't write any reaction notes while watching eps13-14 because I wasn't at my laptop at the time. And I didn't write any during ep15, because I was trying to not be so distracted. By by ep16, I couldn't not write reactions anymore. ^^;;;;

Also, I watched this half of the season mostly in English dub. I thought if I did, I wouldn't get so distracted. And it did help me be able to watch while I ate. Yet I ended up marathoning the rest of the series all day. ^^;;;;;

Carole and Tuesday ep16

"Where can we find a band that will play for free?" *Turns corner and finds a band playing for free* LOL I love this show! LOL ^o^ No, but seriously, I love how virtually conflict-free it is. Whatever obstacles there are, get resolved quickly or by the end of an episode or 2. ^o^ I used to be the type who was all about the "demon hunter" subgenre and Shonen anime. But yesterday, I had to admit that maybe I'm not that anymore. Yesterday, I had been trying to get myself to catch up on Dr. Stone and Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, but instead I watched more Ascendance of a Bookworm and Carole & Tuesday. ~.~; For a few years now, I've found myself unable to watch anything outside of the iyashikei genre: moe shows, slice of life, "feel good" series, etc. Hell, Natsume Yuujinchou is one of my top 3 favorite anime. And now I can't stop watching Carole & Tuesday...but I can't get myself to watch more of a good show like Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba. x~x; I guess this means my anxiety has gotten really bad if I have to exclusively watch soothing series with no traumatic drama. I recently heard a movie reviewer (reviewing Uncut Gems and) describing the Drama genre as supposed to make you tense and uncomfortable, and I was like, "Nope. Not for me. No wonder I can't watch dramas." But I don't want people to mistake me as saying series like Carole & Tuesday and Natsume Yuujinchou are "shallow". I cry at every episode of Natsume Yuujinchou. Carole & Tuesday constantly move me inside. It's just not the manufactued drama and glorification of meanspiritedness that seems to be on display in the Drama genre (for dramam series/movies outside of iyashikei category).

"She was born poor. Her parents both died when she was young." What? I saw this clip subtitled before Netflix US was able to premier it. And the translator said that Flora's parents died because they couldn't afford their hospital bills. And that really struck me. It's a real thing going on in the US. So I'm sad that Netflix didn't have the same translation in their subtitles.

Oh, wow. The dub translated it as "She lost both her parents at a young age, becuase they couldn't afford a hospital."

Hofner! I like when Gus reconnects with his old friends. Even if it is business. It's like a glimpse of these guys being rag-tag musicians back in the day, contrasted against them now, is kind of amusing.

Why is she interviewing him? I thought Tuesday wanted to ask him what he's been covering about her mom.

I should look up Kyle's voice actor. He sounds familiar.

Now that I think about it, Angela has been really preoccupied by this stalker stubplot. Usually she's more of an antagonist towards Carole and Tuesday.

Well, I didn't expect Tao to get pulled into this political subplot.

I kind of wish I hadn't seen this clip of "Threads" beforehand. Then I wouldn't have been reading for when Tuesday was crushing on Kyle. Still, even while watching it, if it wasn't for Tuesday's blushing, I probably wouldn't have gotten the hint that she was forming a crush on him, because I didn't really see why anyone would crush on him for the few interactions they've had. I mean, Tuesday finally talked about her mom and even fears that she's afraid to burden Carole with. So maybe she confused "friendship-like therapy sessions" with a deep connection?

I actually really like this idea of Tao's programming skills, how the analytical psychology programs apply to both music and politics, all this AI, and hacking. If they made a whole series about that, I'd be very interested.

Oh! So that's why that lcip I saw of Carole & Tuesday's song from this ep seemed like most of their electronics were out of comission. I'm surprised Tao's microwave emitter didn't blow out Ertigun's electronic equipment too. ----Wait. So all their equipment wasn't blown out? They chose to go low fi? Good. It's like what that Chinese cinema movie critic said: It's better to contrast a superstar vs trying to copy cat Bruce Lee; that's why Jackie Chan was able to stand out. But it's really sweet that Carole & Tuesday prefaced their performance with "this is how we play at home for each other". ;u; Even if it's quiet, it's cool to see the crowd so perfectly captivated.

Jeeze, this is getting serious. As in uncomfortably plausable in real life. Big companies being behind a political candidate, so they can manipulate laws to get away with whatever they want... Yeek.

Wait a second... I switched to Japanese dub so I could check out his seiyuu... Is that...Keiji Fujiwara? No way... Wikipedia says Subaru Kimura.

I like that this series is discussing how rap is used as a protest tool. I'm not that familiar with the genre, so I wasn't aware of how entrenched it is in politics until I saw some reports recently. Apparently, there are even authoritarian governments trying to create their own rappers, in an attempt to drown out all the dissident popular rappers.

I know "I don't have time to be sad" is framed as some kind of "admirable" resilience, but it seems kind of sad to me.

It's funny how little characterization their band is given, other than their character design and a few short moments, but I guess this series doesn't have much time for that on top of everything else.

Well, that's a target on Amer's back.

Angela's adopted?

Maybe I haven't noted this yet, but it's really creative all the ways this series finds to save its budget. Like keeping Angela in essentially the same outfit as one of her previous standard costume designs, but just changing the color of her strapless top. And they get away with it; it really does look very different, just by changing the color (and probably symolizes the darker turn her story is taking.) It's impressive. It's how studio Bones can afford all this rotoscoping and so much more animation that other series.

Y'know there's a lot of anime where a girls says, "Will you go somewhere with me?" And she's framed really cute. Then cut, and there's supposed to be some kind of scene of them hanging out that the characters say isn't a date, but the direction/framing and the male protagonist treat like a date. Is that phrase "Wanna go somewhere with me?" like a common phrase in Japanese used to ask someone out on a date?

HOw did Roddy make that promise without already knowing how much a natural Christmas tree costs? lol

Wow. So many pills. This escalated quickly.

I"m so glad we have protagonists who can worry about their "rival".

"You don't have time to be worrying about other people." But that's why I like Carole & Tuesday! ;o;!

Now that I think about it, isn't it weird that they're meeting and having this complicated discussions with Crystal in a hotel lobby instead of a conference room? But hey, if it saves studio Bones money to reuse the same set designs, rather than design a whole new conference room and hall to a conference room, then it's an impressive budget cutting technique.

They're so cute! Jumping up and down and giggling. ^o^

Look how flabergasted Carole looks while Tuesday sings "happy birthday" to her! ^o^ And Ziggy is so cute! Cooing/singing along too. ^o^

Aw, Angela's #1 fan/manager is back.

Dang. Skip-tachi getting arrested for just walking down the street. I know I started off watching this show because "nothing really bad happens", but as these last few episodes come up, it's sure escalating into "real world problems" territory. o_o I can't even look at the "MICE" on the cops' backs and this whole subplot about refugees and immigration being used as a political talking point for an election more than as anything else, without thinking of real world problems right now.

Just a second ago, I thought it was really cool that Spencer was actually in Carole & Tuesday's apartment. But now EVERYBODY'S there! LOL

I like that they mentioned "scaring people into self-censorship" and not just banning freedom of speech.

At first, this speech sounded like unrealistic slice of life fluff. "Saving the world through a song"? Isn't that what won the war in Macross? That level of unrealism. But when Tuesday said, "If we can all sing freely, none of us will be silenced," then it all made sense as a unified protest song. Like, "I dare you to arrest the entire industry".

"But a person who's not idealistic is nothing but a slave!" turned into "Although, if you don't defend what you believe in, then what's the use in living." o.o

Well, I didn't expect Valerie to confront Jerry about the bombing.

Well, now we know why the first episodes introduced the Immigration Hall.

Wow. there's a whole cyberpunk corporate espionage movie going on in the B plot. lol

Oh..."Mother Earth"...I saw spoilers of that song before I actually watched this episode. That was the one interpretation I didn't consider.

I love when the cuts go to Ziggy with the sleepy eyes.

I'm really glad they brought back Angela's #1 fan/manager to be there to listen to Angela's emotional breakdown.

I like that Tao and his AI exchanged some semblence of "human"/empathic concern in saying goodbye to each other.

Is Tao really going to disappear?

What is missing in these pieces are two crucial questions: why is it so? and what can be done about it? The cause is the single-member-district electoral system. The remedy: introduction of proportional representation open party list, used in 90 other countries. As the major parties have no plans for governance system change, the minors and independents should get the ball rolling. In addition, drop the Westminster practice of selecting governments only from elected MPs. More disturbing is the young man may be suffering from mental health issues and is perhaps homeless. That such a young man is no doubt filled with our society's many unhealthy attitudes towards women, the other question to be asked, is how is it okay that in such a wealthy country as ours do we tolerate the failure to support those suffering from mental health issues, and their all-too-common partners of unemployment and homelessness? We should all be able to walk our streets in safety, but we should also look at the growing disparity in wealth and how that affects the lives of those born into poverty and hopelessness. -Colin Hesse, Marrickville Engineering consent Thank you for your article, Elizabeth Farrelly ("NSW, where any mug can be an engineer", January 19-20). Should we wish for a tsunami to destabilise these atrocious buildings? Seriously, we've never had really good buildings in Sydney, nor in the whole state. No wonder we pay to stay in weird European flats that were built in the 16th century. Despite the wars, they stand. The showers beggars belief, the kitchens are invariably minuscule, but we like the streets they line, the towns they blend into. Ah well. -Carolyn van Langenberg, Blackheath Elizabeth Farrelly points out a lot of the problems that have been around for a long time in the engineering and construction industry. The peak professional engineering membership body, which only accepts engineers who have qualifications acceptable to the body, is the Institution of Engineers Australia. Members have the post-nominal MIEAust, but there is no requirement for engineering/construction companies to employ engineers with this qualification in NSW. For many years the institution tried to get a distinguishing word for "professional engineer", which could only be used by MIEAust members. This appears to have been unsuccessful, consequently anyone can call themselves an engineer with or without qualifications. -Ian Nicholls, Baulkham Hills Long weekends a must In answer to Stuart Dorney's letter about the placement of Australia Day (Letters, January 19-20), before 1988 that is what happened, the last Monday of January was Australia Day, until a politician decided we should celebrate it on the actual day. The "last Monday" was low-key, none of the hype and hyperbole we have now, plus most businesses were closed so the majority of the population could have a weekend to celebrate or commiserate the day. Remember when Australia was "the land of the long weekend", now we are a global city business must be open for the tourists or the locals who forgot the bread. In this election year, both state and federal, let's pressure the politicians to give us back our long weekend. So Michael and Bill, if you win, can we go back to the future, give us back our long weekends? -Robert Pallister, Punchbowl Last century Australia Day used to be moved about to make it a long weekend.
