hi im questioning plurality and scared to ask systems i know irl about experiences and help so im asking for help here (im sorry if ive already sent an ask to this blog bc i /gen dont remember if i did)

okay i think im going to split this up into two sections, one for reasons I think I may be and symptoms, another for reasons why i think I may not.

Reasons I think I may be plural:

I frequently experience bouts of dissociating or just feel generally fuzzy and after i can feel a range of symptoms including: Feeling a new energy with me, confusion on where i am, confusion on who i am, feeling an off feeling, thinking something is wrong with my body or room and more.

I frequently feel multiple energys w/ me w/ different emotions, ages, and general vibes.

I constantly switch between feeling very strongly w/ one belif or gender to the point where it feels like i have always felt like this then not long after sometimes feeling the complete opposite.

I very often feel not incontrol and almost like someone else is in control of the body.

I occasionally say things aloud that i dont think I actually said and it feels like someone else did.

I occasionally think things that i dont think I actually thought and it was like someone else did.

I have occasional laspses in memory.

Reasons I think I'm not plural:

I have 3 irl plural friends so statistically its very unlikely that I am plural too.

I retain almost all memory from when I feel like I am different people.

I feel like I am always there no matter what.

The different energies I feel tend to be very similar to my own and I cant really distinguish between them for the most part.

I feel like I may just be experiencing symptoms of something else and confusing them for plurality.

I feel like I am forcing myself to experience symptoms of plurality.

I don't think the truama i have could have been bad enough for me to be plural (im sorry if there are plural ppl who dont have truama i js dont know much on that topic specifically)

Other things to note:

I have ADHD and Autism (un-medicated)

I have BPD or Bipolar disorder (me and my therapist are still discussing which we think it may be)

I hope someone sees this and could please help me figure out if maybe another disorder is making me experience these things or if those symptoms listed are genuinely symptoms of plurality because I cannot figure out if what I am experiencing is normal or not

Hello there. I can tell by the way your organized this ask you've thought a lot about this question! I'll try to answer most of your points and hope my input helps as you continue to evaluate this question.

Your first few points regarding amnesia for where you are, identity confusion regarding your gender, and depersonalization with your body, based on what you've said here, points towards fairly high dissociation. At the very least, looking into dissociative disorders in general might be a good idea for you (and your therapist) to explore. This is especially true if these symptoms cause a lot of distress and hardship in your life.

You also talk about not feeling in control of your body, your actions, and your thoughts. The way you describe these feelings is similar to how we and many other systems might describe it. However, it can also be good to also ask if the "someone else" who did and said these things was you in a heightened emotion or at a different time, or if it was a distinctly different person. Even singlets have a variety of emotions based on different situations. Consider how consistent these actions are, is there a pattern? Does x person mostly tend to react y way to z situation? We've found it helpful to establish patterns when trying to figure out if there's a headmate involved.

Regarding your reasons you may not be plural, there's a few things I want to note. Regarding your plural friends, I wouldn't say it's "statistically unlikely" that you're plural. To truly consider the statistics, you would want to look at total populations, like of a region or country, not just in a friend group. For example, some friend groups will have no one plural, but that doesn't mean plural people don't exist. Friends come together for a variety of reasons, largely for similarities in life experiences and identities. It's possible you've found friends similar to you in some regards, and this might include plurality.

Your next three points about retaining most of your memories, feeling always present, and how these "energies" feel similar to your own also do not entirely rule out plurality. These descriptions could be from a median system, which, on the sliding spectrum of plurality, is a sort of is not quite singlet but not quite as distinct as plural systems and their headmates. It might be helpful to look into median systems as well as possibly fragments as you continue to question if you're plural.

On your final point, I do want to point out that not every system experienced trauma. Some experienced trauma but it didn't cause their plurality, and some, even if they experienced trauma, may not feel it was "enough" to cause plurality. What you say about your trauma is what many other plural people say. Try to put that question aside as you question your plurality, or at least don't dig in too deeply.

Now for your notes. The high number of plural autistics has been frequently discussed in the plural community. Not every autistic is plural of course, nor is every plural, but it makes sense that those with different brains and neuro types would also show and develop other differences like plurality. Regarding your BPD or bipolar disorder, there are also systems with these disorders. So it's not really about being plural or having one of these- both can occur. What's important to consider is how the symptoms align with each disorder. Can your amnesia, dissociation, and these different "energies" be explained by BPD or bipolar disorder? Or is there something else going on in addition to that? I think that question might be helpful as your continue those discussions with your therapist.

Much needed comfort (Hanma Shuji with a insecure Fem S/O)

Hanma Shuji. The name was infamous. Most would would run away at the very mention of the name. Bat shit crazy thats what he was. To any rival this man was nothing short of terrifying but you, you never needed to worry about anything like that. Hanma may be bat shit crazy but he was a pretty decent boyfriend.

Sure he has his quirks (a lot of them) but you love him and he loves you too, you entertain him. He may not be the most normal boyfriend nor do you two have the most conventional relationship but it works. Unfortunately even if you two love eachother there are still a few problems but that's normal! Small fights may occur but they always end the same way a late night bike ride or snack run at the nearest convenience store. The fights were never what bugged you, how could they when you both know they are pointless and you still love eachother?

What got to you was the way people talked or stared. They had you doubting yourself and your worth. Hanma hated this he wished you would just ignore them, does he get all butthurt when people call him crazy? No he doesn't give a shit so why can't you be the same way?? He's come to terms with the fact that you just don't think that way though and he doesn't want the one he loves to be sad so he guesses he can comfort you if you need (he definitely lives for the fact that he gives you comfort, he loves it)

Coming home with bloody knuckles was nothing new to Hanma and you had adjusted to it too. Coming home to see you sitting on the couch looking all pouty on the other hand was something he never wants to get used to. "The fuck you moping about?" He hears you groan in response and he heads over to sit next to you. Sighing he pulls you into his side and wraps a protective arm around your shoulder "What's up any one I need to have a little chat with?" He feels you shake your head which is buried in his side he decides to wait till you speak up.

"Shuji why are you with someone like me?" Though this question is nothing new it catches him off gaurd every time. How could you not know?? Rolling his eyes he looks down at you "told you a thousand times I love ya, keep me on my toes and you're easy on the eyes" he smiles when you look up in his eyes.

"But-" "Uh uh no buts Doll" he wags his finger at you shushing your rebuttal. "Said I love ya, y'mean the world to me ya know?? So quit yer pout'n making me all bummed n' shit." The small smile that graces your lips let's him know he's done a good enough job for today. Lifting you into his lap he squeezes you tight.

When you hug back he decides it's time to cheer you up with something fun. "Better hold on (name)" he quickly stands up and holds you tight while you lock your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck "Shu what're we doing?" He tuts "Dont worry bout it sweetheart we going somewhere to have some fun~" the tone in his voice was always one that indicated he was up to something. Sighing you silently pray it isn't something too illegal as you place a quick kiss on his shoulder making him chuckle.

I read a post on twitter that said Takemichi is the most selfish person ever in tokrev universe. That he got the perfect ending where everybody was alive and still friends/in contact but he had to go back to the past anyway just to save one and, in doing so, got most of his friends killed. And I honestly agree with it a lot. Like he should definitely just have gotten married and went about his life. I honestly believe the manga is just going downhill so fast and it really all started when they killed Draken (or even Emma). It sucks they ruined such an amazing manga just for some shock factor. I was wondering what your thoughts were on this…

i have this one opinion. and im always scared to share this opinion bc people always get mad, and i mean everyone hates me anyway so idc but i also hate not getting the last word LMAO so i know id argue back and i dont have rly have the energy to argue over an opinion on such a subjective manga, but im gonna share this opinion anyway.

i think takemichi is at least just a little bit selfish. his determination and charisma and the way he cares and takes everyones burdens as his own are all hero qualities, yes, but at the end of the day, he's messing with the past in order to save his love. and that ending with mikey being away was likely the happiest ending they could get, i agree. thats unless mikey got the help he needs, but that doesnt seem to be happening any time soon.

but mostly, my opinion is that you shouldnt mess with time at all. i think takemichi should have never thought to mess with the past to change the present because in basically every time travel movie / book ive seen, read, or heard of, the lesson is that you cant change the past bc if you try, either the same thing will always happen, or someone else will suffer in the process of you trying to change your life. which i think is what takemichi shouldve realized. in the end, someone else likely wouldve died—and they did, or hina would just always end up dead, so why mess with timelines ??

you cant ever know which event likely caused something in the future bc you cant predict and account for all the possibilities, which we've seen over and over in tr. every time takemichi thinks he's figured out what the cause of mikey and toman turning bad was, there's something new he has to change, and it's just so risky, and he's putting other lives on the line whether he means to or not.

but i definitely agree that the timeline where mikey was away was the best one, as much as it saddens me to say, bc in that timeline, all his friends are happy and thriving. i just simply think that there's not likely a way every single person can be saved, so you have to pick the one that's best for everyone, which was probably that one.

Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right place to go, but: I have other people inside of my head that function like alters, and they all say we are a system, but i'm not sure I believe them. I dont have any memories of tr**ma (apparently someone else does- its really foggy cause I was hardly there when they where in control of the body), and the people they claim to have aided in giving us some of the tr**ma are very nice to us now, so I dont think I could have DID/OSDD. I can't tell my therapist about them though- its really hard for me to open up to doctors, since im very paranoid of them. On top of that, I sometimes think im just making them all up and that they arent real, so I dont want to tell my therapist about them and then have them be fake. Do you have any advice for either helping us manage ourselves or for helping myself talk to our therapist? Thanks!

This must be a really scary time for you right now and especially with everything you are currently experiencing with these other people in your head.

I am not a trained professional and so cannot diagnose you but from my experience it does sound like you may have DID. I can only imagine how you must be feeling with all this and especially as you cannot remember any trauma you may have endured earlier on in life. That’s the good thing about DID though in that another personality/ alter is formed to take on that trauma until such a time where you are able to deal with and handle what you may have gone through. The trauma doesn’t have to be bad either, everyone deals with situations and traumas differently and where one might be really good at dealing with something, another may find that really hard. This is completely OK too and doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with you!

In regards to how you might talk to your therapist about this, firstly I completely get how hard and confronting this will be and especially with the possibility of having something like DID, do you think that maybe writing it down may make it easier for you to tell them? Writing can be really good as it gives you the opportunity to really think about what you want to say, how much you feel comfortable talking about in the beginning and how you may want to tell your therapist and also ways that may make it easier for you to continue talking to them about it if this is something you want to do.

It’s so important that you do what you feel is best for you and what you feel comfortable doing and do not feel forced into doing anything you don’t want or you don’t feel ready to do right now. So take your time, do what you need to do for you right now and know that there is no time frame for when you should talk to anyone – go at your own pace and in your own time even if this means taking small steps each day to help you achieve a larger goal!

In terms of feeling as though you may be making these people up in your head, all I can say is that a lot of people feel this way when they are unsure and scared about a possible diagnosis. It’s important to remember though that your therapist is a professional and they are there to help you and support you through whatever you may be facing in life. It’s OK to be vulnerable and be open and upfront with them. They will not judge you but instead will help you to figure out what is happening for you and help you find ways to better deal with it where possible.

Nathan is getting REALLLLLLLYYY cocky and it's gonna come back to bite him in the ass. He's expecting Jonathan will work with him after constantly lying to him and it's so exhausting to try and deal with him. Nathan came up with a plan to all swap our moons when we tell people, and that's fine, I like that idea. But I told him that I already told Jonathan my moons so you're gonna have to figure something else to tell him, and what does he do but tell him one of Zach's moons. And let's be real here, if Jonathan asks Zach for his moons, and Zach is honest with him, who's Jonathan gonna believe? The person who has literally no reason to lie to him, or the person who's screwed him over like 3 times in the last day? First off: LMAO GET FUCKED TR*MP HAHAHAHA GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE!!!! And now back to Survivor :) Whew last night was EVENTFUL! So the fucking moon challenge at first to me seemed kinda irrelevant, if someone lied it's fine it's a challenge. But after it was all over, I spoke strategically with MJ for the first time this game and damn did he have some grievances to air. He told me all about how Jonathan screwed everyone over in this challenge and if he's willing to do it for immunity, then he's not gonna be trustworthy later down the line. And it's wild to me because clearly Jonathan has enough connections to get him the win even if he didn't burn everyone. But now there's really no coming back for him. But back to my conversation with MJ. We agreed to work closely together to get to the end and I'm all for it. Well, idk if I really want MJ at f3, but I'm willing to act like I want to until like, f5 or something. So we have this long discussion and I bring up using Nathan as a shield for us, and MJ seems to like the idea. So after I get off call with MJ, I hop on call with Nathan and just relay that clearly Jonathan is untrustworthy, but I think it's in our best interest to work with MJ for now. He agrees, sets up a group with me him and MJ and we just talk all about how Jonathan is a clown, and since we can't take him out, Zoe is the next best idea. Which is kinda sad bc I love Zoe, we talk about weed and pokemon and communism and we just vibe. But unfortunately even tho I'd rather see Asya go bc we haven't talked very much, she doesn't seem to be much of an option this round. So after that conversation, I get on call with Jessie, we spill all the tea to each other. She tells me about Nathan's Trian Idol, even though Nathan already told me lmao. But she and I agree that Nathan is gonna be a huge threat to win if we let him get much further, so we want to take him out sometime before like, f5. The real gag of this game is that the NuTrian pairs aren't me and Cindi/Jessie and Nathan, but me and Jessie/Cindi and Nathan. But yeah that was my night and I'm feeling cautiously optimistic for this vote and the future of my game.

ahhh im gonna kms bc there is like a 50% chance i'm going this round. jonathan won immunity which is great for him but that takes the target off his back and puts it onto mine. nathan cindi jay and jessie + zach are planning on voting for me while me, jonathon, mj, jules, and asya are going to vote for zach. however, it's theorized that zach has an automatic vote against him for the rocket ship which he claimed he found on an adventure, but probably didn't. that's an advantage to us, but nathan is planning on slashing jonathan's vote. so it'll be 5-5 me and zach, which will take us to a revote in which hopefully jay and cindi will flip so they don't have to go to rocks. if we have to go to rocks, that means i'm safe!! hopefully. many other things could happen, such a cindi and jay thinking we're going to blindside nathan and voting him instead of me, or nathan feeling comfy and not using his vote slasher. any way it could go, i'm nervous as FUCK. i dont want to go home!! i would be so sad :(

So MJ just came to me and explained that it's Nathan leaving tonight. I told him I'd think on it and that I'd rather look out for myself than look out for Nathan. But the thing is, going with MJ and not with Nathan...it kinda fucks me. I trust MJ, but everyone else who's voting for Nathan??? Jonathan, Zoe, Jules, Asya?? I have no strategic relationship with Zoe, no relationship in general with Jules and Asya, and Jonathan is proven completely untrustworthy. While on the other side there's Nathan, Cindi, Zach, and Jessie, people who I've put my trust in on NuTrian, and with Zach he's been up front with me this whole round and I just like him more than most people in the game. And if I truly do want to look out for myself, I can't destroy all the relationships I've built throughout the whole game for people I met three days ago and have absolutely no strategic read on. Ultimately the only people who will feel especially burned by this are MJ and Jonathan, and if all goes to plan MJ won't be in the game anymore, and Jonathan is already not my biggest fan. Really thinking about it, the only people Nathan leaving benefits right now ARE MJ and Jonathan. Like I was all about working with MJ yesterday bc we were gonna vote Zoe and I felt comfortable with that and from there I was willing to take out Nathan. But MJ is trying to take the control here, bc if he does there's a good chance he never loses it.

Looking back on 3x21 with regards to Joe’s opinion on “Bart Allen”, and comparing it to how he talked to Savitar in 3x22, I’ve come to this conclusion:

Fuck Joe. Bart was the most Barry that Barry had ever been in all three seasons. He’s supposed to be a happy, carefree hero without tragedies turning him unnecessarily dark and brooding. But his issue is “This Barry isn’t the same one because he’s missing his memories”? And yet he talked to Savitar and explicitly called him by “Barry” and “my son”. This version of Barry that’s minutes away from murdering Iris, this version of Barry that he, Harry, and Wally were defending Iris from, that broke Wally’s leg with no remorse, was more his son than the dorky, happy Barry that actually made his daughter smile. Okay.

Keep in mind this doesn’t line up with the idea of Joe shunning the TR. It doesn’t fit anymore and is practically impossible now that he showed off his “favoritism”. His logic was that Bart isnt Barry because he doesnt have the 28 years of experience to make him who he is, and the Time Remnant is the total opposite of Bart. He has all the experience of Barry, he’s only one second later. Joe’s treatment of either guy proves it, for the worse.

The writing around both scenes were incredibly messed up. It’s the writers exhibiting a terrible understanding of people. Here’s the issue: Barry shouldn’t need to have something terrible happen to him to become a hero. Originally he did it because it was the right thing to do, and even Batman had a line about it in the comics. “Barry is the kind of man I would have hoped to become had my parents not been murdered before my eyes.” As in, still a hero. Still a good person. Bart showed in the court case and later in the ep, he has the makings of a hero still in him. He already has the mindset of “great powers = great responsibility” and isn’t okay with letting criminals go free when he has the ability to stop them and save lives. He has this thing called “compassion”.

But Joe is over here like “He’s not the real Barry”, which sounds to me exactly like “He’s more Barry when he has undiagnosed/untreated PTSD and Depression, a contradictory sense of entitlement thanks to people around him enabling his terrible behavior and feeling bad for him, and has probably never been to a therapist his whole life”. What’s his reasoning? “Well, of course he’s been through bad things but some good things happened to him too, and without those experiences he’s not the same person”. Yeah? Of course no one would be the exact same person without tragedy, trauma, and resulting possible mental illness, but between having it and not having it, most people would probably prefer not having it.

Depression is not a fun time. PTSD is not a fun time. Having little ability to form and maintain emotionally meaningful relationships with other people and purposely ruining them by operating on the contradicting senses of “I dont deserve good things” and “I’m getting mine, fuck everyone else” and treating friends like tools is not a fun time. When people still thrive socially while having these mindsets and have minimal negative impact on themselves and others? That means they’ve made the best of what they have in spite of the negative. Not because of the negative. No one should consider it a good thing that bad things happen to people. Suffering is not a virtue.

Barry had a choice, and he took it. Between living through the trauma and knowing his loved ones were willing to provide him all the emotional support they could, and not having the bad things at all, he chose not having them at all and caused Flashpoint. He needed a whole three months of a good life with his parents to balance out how fucked up he’s been and help him come to terms with the loss he’d lived through. And even with all the emotional support available to him after Iris dies, unless he has a profoundly OOC moment, he will become Savitar and cause the death, disfigurement, or mental anguish of various innocent people. Barry will do that. Bart wouldn’t.

The idea that Bart “wasn’t Barry”, therefore “less real” or “less wanted” because he didn’t have negative experiences to shape him (and good memories too, as an afterthought) was fucked. People are good, strong, successful after tragedy, but that’s not because of tragedy or mental illness, it’s despite it. Thinking otherwise gives credit to the bad thing and not to the person. No one should sincerely have such an opinion in favor of tragedies happening to people and saddling them with emotional baggage.

So fuck Joe. He’d rather have a creepy borderline villainous man in his family knowing that that guy is capable of killing his only daughter and paralyzing his son. Barry’s experiences made him who he is, but who he is is horrendous. Savitar being every bit Barry as the Barry they know is literally the whole problem, and he doesn’t have to be that way. He can exist without the emotional baggage and murderous entitlement and need for violent revenge. Bart was proof.

it’s a truth universally acknowledged that if a tri movie is coming out, tumblr user dianaagron (clara for friends) won’t know about it until the day after, when she’ll wake up and check twitter after 84 years of not logging in and realize that yesterday was the day. actually, this time i remembered the episodes were out the same day they were released, but still it was because of good ol’ twitter, because with all the mess that’s going on with me (part of the reason why i’m never here) even if i happened to check at the beginning of the week when soushitsu was coming out, i still managed to completely forget about it in the span of a fucking day. also, i’m fucking pissed because i’ve always watched the thing after downloading the various episodes because that way i have all my stuff and i can go back and easily find caps and other stuff like that but nope not this time because i can’t fucking find a single torrent and i’m refusing to download subbed episodes because a) it’s gonna take so long to direct download something and b) what use are subbed episodes when i know i’d be replacing them with unsubbed ones as soon as i can find working dls (this is a cry of help: tell me where i can download the episodes, im dying, thank you)

one thing to take into account: i was extra pissed for various reasons yesterday night when i watched the first two episodes, so i’m not really sure if that’s why, compared to the shit that i had to deal with in real life, the episodes (in the contrary to all expectations) weren’t bad at all. truth is i actually liked this installment? INCREDIBLE, I KNOW. of course it had its nonsense moments and parts that made me roll my eyes (im buying pizza for everyone who can guess which were those moments) and other negative parts, but i really preferred movie 4 to movie 3. i’m guessing this is an unpopular opinion because i remember everyone was so happy with kokuhaku back in the day and i was the only soul going like lmao i didnt even cry but idk, i liked this one, it wasn’t bad. btw, i said i’m guessing mine could be an unpopular opinion because i’m writing this sorry excuse of a review before reading anything else cause i don’t want to be influenced :)))))

(save me ive written 500 words on nothing) (meanwhile i finally found torrent links) (and i had to pause the review because i ended up going out yesterday night so this is me talking one day later from what you’ve read before)

once again, i feel like nothing happened in the course of these four new episodes. now, i know i’m extremely slow when it comes to get plot points and all that (not because i’m that stupid, thank you very much, but because of my attention span varies from 1 second to 2 and a half so it’s hard for me to recall what happened in the previous installments unless i go and rewatch all of them - thing i won’t ever do because this girl right here is lazy as fuuuck) but if you sit down and think about what was revealed, you get close to nothing lmao.

winning points of the movie (for me):

not too many extreme closeups like in the previous installment. it flowed better, the animation quality wasn’t as terrible as it was in the previous four episodes (im saying this just by quickly looking at the caps i took - while in the other i had so many ugly caps here they all look presentable and usable) (i say this from the point of you of someone who makes edits of course, i dont have the knowledge of an animator lmao), the majority of the shots with mimi, which are the ones that i pay the most attention to, are super pretty, but also those with taichi’s!!! his design was super on point, i have many caps im probably gonna insert later of just him looking hella attractive, and sora!!! omg sora was so fucking beautiful in these episodes i was so :)))) yay for nice designs, they make me happy.

the lack of you know who for basically two episodes. it was so good, so nice, so calming. i was loving life and life was loving me.  

HOW THEY HANDLED THE TAIORATO!!!! if you know me or if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know this already, but i’m saying this in case i have new readers (HI) or, y’know, to swipe some dust off: i’m not the biggest fan of the main three. that comes from the fact that michi is my otp and i love taishiro probably too much for my own sanity, so i tend to be on the taichi/koushiro/mimi & yamato/sora/jyou side of things (which is like, super unpopular because if it’s not taiorato then it’s yamichi, so you get why my life is a constant struggle). anyway, thing is that i actually loved the interactions between the three? it was light and it felt super real, it could easily be relatable. it was also clear to me that taichi’s and yamato’s roles in sora’s life were blatantly different and i also loved to see how the two of them while being in the same situation reacted differently, but i’m gonna touch this topic later. overall tho, good job on the dynamic between those three. im clapping my hands, i wasn’t excited about it when the movie poster came out five months ago but i’m so happy that they made me love the parts with taichi, yamato and sora.

it wasn’t heavy on fight scenes. i know. I KNOW. but as i’ve said, i’m not the average digimon fan so i’m happy with my bonds developing and less fights and all that stuff :))))

BRENDA BUTTNER, FOX NEWS HOST: I bet this is a hot topic at your Thanksgiving table right now. What to do with ten thousand Syrian refugees to make sure ISIS doesn`t sneak in with them. The president already threatening to veto a bill that would vet them further, something not sitting well with Florida Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis. Congressman, thank you so much for joining us.

You voted with the majority on that bill to further vet, basically, our vetting process for refugees. 47 Democrats voted along with you. Is that a sign that the president is becoming more isolated on thos issue?

REP. RON DESANTIS (R-FL), COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Well happy Thanksgiving, Brenda.

BUTTNER: You, too.

DESANTIS: Yeah, I think without question, if you look at the numbers that the president is talking about, 10,000 people, if only one percent of those mean to do us harm or intending to commit terrorist acts, that means you`re bringing in 100 terrorists into the country, and we talked to the FBI director, even before the Paris attack, and he testified in front of Congress that the government cannot vet these people adequately because there isn`t enough information to do it.

So, I think the prudent policy is to err on the side of protecting the American people, and here`s the thing, Brenda. We can help about four or five refugees over in that theater for the cost of bringing one over here. So even if we didn`t have these terrorism concerns, I think there`s an argument our money is probably better spent by sending it over there and having people directed to safe zones.

BUTTNER: What happens if the Senate doesn`t take up this bill? It may not get traction. Minority Leader Harry Reid doesn`t really want to take it up. Then the president plans to veto it. What can you do?

DESANTIS: Well, first of all, I think that it`s likely to get to the president`s desk. He is going veto it and he`s going to have to explain and I think you see his poll numbers are dropping precipitously given how he`s handled this issue. I think he`s like -- 35 percent approve of how he is handling terrorism. So if he vetoes the bill and the public responds negatively to him, I think that`s going to put even more pressure on the Democrats in the Congress to join with us if we put funding prohibitions on the next budget bill that comes down the pike, not allowing the president to spend money to bring any unvetted refugees over to our country, and we could potentially end up with veto-proof majorities. We already got that in the House with our bill. This could potentially get us there in the Senate if the president vetoes a bill and then there`s a public backlash.

BUTTNER: There`s a move afoot in our northern neighbor in Canada to basically say, we won`t take any single men, we`re only taking women and children. But we have a very porous border and does that really stop the terrorists from getting in? Women -- we have seen in Paris -- can be terrorists, too.

DESANTIS: You have to vet everybody. You absolutely do have female suicide bombers. And so the idea that just because it`s a female that you`re not going to vet them, that doesn`t work. So yes, I think we have to be concerned, and not only with the refugee situation. It`s very easy for people to fly into Canada from some of these troubled spots and then they can come across our northern border. So I think it`s absolutely a cause of concern.

BUTTNER: And what do we do about that?

DESANTIS: Well, I think that we have to look at how you can gain entry into our country. The refugees is one. The legal immigration system is another. And then we also have visa waiver and people coming over on visas. I think all that has to be vetted in a way that errs on the side of protecting the American people. If there`s a chance that someone may be inclined to be an enemy of the country, then I think you have to err on the side of caution.

BUTTNER: You know, the argument on the other side is that we, as Americans -- our values are that it`s our obligation to bring in refugees, those who have been in war-torn situations and need help. How do you answer that?

DESANTIS: Well, we actually have been way more generous than pretty much every country in the world combined. But simply because there`s a war, that`s never been necessarily the test. We`ve accepted people who qualified for asylum because they were persecuted, say, like the Christians in Syria are being persecuted because of their faith or their ethnicity, but simply because they`re a war, that doesn`t necessarily mean that everybody gets to come to the United States, and as I mentioned earlier, I think you can help a lot of these people in a more cost-effective way. You can help more of them by administering that aid overseas rather than flying them halfway across the world.

BUTTNER: Right. Now what about the issue of giving state governors the choice whether or not to take the refugees in? That would require basically amending the Refugee Act of 1980. Do you support that?

DESANTIS: I do. Here`s why. State and local law enforcement are the primary protectors of the health, safety, and welfare of the people in the individual states. So they have a significant responsibility to keep their citizens safe, such as at the Mall of America, as you mentioned earlier on the show. So I think that they should absolutely have a voice in whether people are coming into their state that could potentially pose a problem.

BUTTNER: Do you think you might have the votes in Congress to do that?

DESANTIS: I think we could definitely pass it out of the house. Whether we could pass it out of the Senate, I`m not sure. And I would imagine, given the president`s posture on this, that he would threaten to veto such a bill.

BUTTNER: All right. Congressman, thank you very, very much. I hope you have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Florida House passes bill that forbids 'sanctuary cities,' would issue fines for failing to help federal immigration authorities

The Florida House of Representatives voted Wednesday to require local officials to comply with federal immigration authorities, a move that brings the Republican-controlled state government to the cusp of enacting one of the nation's most stringent laws against "sanctuary cities."

The state House legislation, which passed in a 69-to-47 vote, would bar local governments from ignoring Immigration and Customs Enforcement requests -- known as detainers -- for local jails to hold suspected undocumented immigrants until federal authorities take them into custody. It also mandates that local agencies use their "best efforts to support federal immigration law" and threatens a fine of up to $5,000 per day for entities that violate the law.

A Florida Senate committee approved similar legislation last week. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who made the issue a central issue in his campaign last year, has been urging senators to act on the bill before the state's legislative session ends next week.

While the definition of sanctuary cities varies, most analysts say Florida does not have any.

The bill has become a top priority for Florida Republicans in recent weeks, as they have been eager to support DeSantis and President Trump, who has threatened to release migrants into sanctuary cities that do not comply with ICE detainer requests. The Trump administration also has vowed to withhold law enforcement grants from localities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

"This bill is about public safety and making sure we remove the criminal element of illegals that are here," said state Sen. Joe Gruters, sponsor of the Senate legislation and chairman of the Florida Republican Party. "The president has a laser focus on the failures of Washington in terms of immigration policy, and I think that has made this effort easier."

At least 25 states considered legislation dealing with sanctuary policies last year, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. One of them, California, enacted sweeping statewide legislation blocking law enforcement agencies from working with ICE to house undocumented immigrants who otherwise would not be held on local charges. Two other states, Iowa and Tennessee, enacted laws requiring local officials to comply with ICE requests.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) this month signed a law to cut off funding for local governments that refuse to cooperate with ICE requests. Several other states also have policies prohibiting sanctuary jurisdictions: Iowa, Tennessee, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina and Texas, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

A half-dozen more states are considering similar legislation this year.

But Florida -- a state where 20 percent of the population is foreign-born -- has emerged as an especially emotional battleground in the nationwide fight over those laws.

In recent weeks, a coalition of civil rights groups, social justice advocates, farmers and state business leaders have teamed up to try to the block the state legislation. They argue that both the House and Senate bills are drafted so broadly that Florida law enforcement officials would in effect become deputies in Trump's broader crackdown on undocumented immigrants.

Earlier this month, the Florida chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union issued a "travel alert," warning that the legislation would "put immigrants at risk of violence, potentially forcing victims and witnesses to stay silent for fear of deportation."

More than than 120 Florida business leaders, ranging from a former chief executive of Carnival Cruise Line to executives of home-building companies, signed an open letter to DeSantis and legislative leaders warning that the bills could cripple the state's robust economy.

"Immigrants represent over 25 percent of our workforce and employ over 500,000 fellow Floridians," the letter states. "It is their innovative spirit that keeps us moving forward. Anti-immigrant legislation will inflict long-lasting damage to the state of Florida."

According to a study released in February by the Pew Research Center, Florida was home in 2016 to 775,000 undocumented immigrants, about 4 percent of the population. Seven percent of the students in Florida schools had at least one undocumented parent, the study concluded. Only California and Texas were home to more undocumented residents.

After Trump threatened in 2017 to strip federal money from cities that refuse to help deport immigrants, Miami-Dade County was the first to halt the sanctuary policy, even though 51.7 percent of residents are immigrants.

A Senate committee staff analysis found that the bill pending before the Florida Senate would require "any sanctuary policies currently in effect" to be repealed within 90 days after the bill becomes law.

Florida's attorney general could take civil action against state or local government entities, which advocates fear could make individual government employees liable for actions they take in support of an undocumented resident.

Although most ICE detainers are good for 48 hours, advocates say the legislation infringes on the rights of undocumented immigrants by denying them due process.

"It is really unclear why this bill is necessary," said Ingrid M. Delgado, the associate for social concerns for the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops. "This bill goes much farther than federal law requires and mandates compliance with every detainer request, even for those who have not been convicted of a crime."

The ACLU has been battling ICE over allegations that it incorrectly issued detainer requests for 420 U.S. citizens who had been held in the Miami-Dade County jail over the past two years.

State Rep. Mike Beltran (R), a co-sponsor of the House bill, dismissed concerns that the legislation could lead to more racial profiling or unfair treatment of detained citizens.

"I don't think we should be out hunting for anyone, but if we come across people, and we know by checking ID and through booking that they are not legally present in the United States, it would be an abdication of duty as elected officials" not to cooperate with ICE, Beltran said.

Similar laws have been challenged in other states. The Florida legislation comes two years after Texas lawmakers passed a state law ordering that local authorities cooperate with ICE. Under the law, the state can fine local governments up to $25,500 a day for refusing to cooperate with immigration agents. Elected or appointed officials also can lose their jobs, and sheriffs and other police officers can face criminal charges if they refuse to cooperate.

Last year, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued San Antonio on allegations that its police chief failed to turn over to ICE a dozen migrants found inside a tractor-trailer, instead handing them to Catholic Charities, the Associated Press reported. San Antonio also joined several of Texas's largest cities, including Houston and Dallas, in challenging the state law in court. But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit upheld the law.

In Tennessee, Shelby County Attorney Marlinee Clark Iverson, whose jurisdiction includes Memphis, issued an opinion stating the county sheriff and jail officials did not need to comply with a new state law that sought to force compliance with ICE.

"It was so vague that anybody from [ICE], even a secretary or janitor, could call and say, 'Hold this person indefinitely,' for any of amount of time, perhaps forever,"

My name is dennis. I have been writing about a large group of people making my life miserable. It is the worst kept secret in america. I filed a lawsuit against these people. And, i think they lost. It doesnt matter. They are too powerful. They own the police. They cant admit that what they have doing to me was and is wrong. They have constructed this fantasyland where they are helping me, with some lie about an addiction to something. They say im addicted to alcohol and cocaine and other drugs. Im also a pedophile and a terrorist and an arsonist, the list is long. These lies have been used as an excuse to mobilize against me. To recruit people against me. It is also used as a purity test for people they want to hire. People they want to give power. They want people that will do their bidding, regardless of the law, or any sense of responsibility. Ive already talked about this on the site that begins with the image i have posted above.

The lawsuit i filed talks about misuse of authority. Due process violations and equal protection under the law. Things i dont get. And should. I should be eligilble for protection like others. They knew i wasnt a terrorist. At the highest levels. They know the addiction frame is bogus. Everyone else knows it too. it s the worst kept secret in america. The lawsuit also talks about rico.
