Okay, so overall, I'm relatively satisfied with the ending. I also cried about as much as I would have done if they all died so my emotions are still all over the place. Do I think every question we had came to a satisfying conclusion? Not quite. But I think we tied up enough loose ends for me to be content.

And I'm happy they got a somewhat happy ending. Knowing that they get to live a life in relative peace makes me happy, and we know that Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair at least make it another few years. Omega joining the Rebellion also seems apt. As an Echo girly I unfortunately don't feel quite as secure with where we left off. I don't have the same level of closure that I do with the others because we know that around this point in time, he isn't with Rex. But he also isn't with the Batch either. I hope we get to see more of him in future projects because I don't quite feel satisfied with this being the end of his story. He's doing too much for it to stop there.

Also... we were wrong about Tech. The level of delusion we carried throughout this season, my god. 😭 But it means I'm confused by some of their choices. The way they focused on being savvy with technology, the way he moves being similar to Tech, FUCKING DOMICILE??? Like, they have to have known that we would all go that way with our theories so why??? If it wasn't him they why was he written the way he was? I refuse to believe everything we thought was purely out of delusion. Does this mean I have issues with the way Tech's story ended? Yes. But overall I think the show wrapped up fairly well.

I'll try and drop some more thoughts later down the line once I've pulled myself together a bit, but for now I can say that I am content. Completely satisfied? Not really, but definitely content.

Urhhggrrrr! I feel like... I feel like, I feel like Murder! So, it's the end of day here, and it's been a really tedious one. In the Morning, I had to go down this steep valley to get some cow feed, which is a chore I don't usually do, but since my brother had to get drunk and fall off a speeding motorcycle, I was down there under the flaming African Sun cutting down overgrown Napier grass with it's nettles activating my allergies. I was done by 10, and could chill for a bit, do some writing,

but no, my mother had to abruptly develop a taste for chicken and again had to spend close to an hour doing something I hadn't planned for today. This chicken was ridiculously fast, with cat like reflexes . After almost falling down a couple of times and painfully bumping into a wheelbarrow and a banana tree, I was ready to give in, but it too got tired, and I caught it and could chill for a bit and get some writing done.

But noooo!! Kibera chose today to call me for the quarry gig I had been waiting on. I really need the cash. And off I went to his village which is two ridges away. I get there tired and hungry, but still had to carve some bricks. The only thing keeping me motivating was the blunt in my matchbox. Ten bricks later my hand hands are so exhausted I can barely hold a fist. But none of that pain mattered, cause after I had finished washing them in the river, we'd spark up the blunt and be mellow for a bit. So i took it out and was about to light it. But nooooooo! Kibera "needed" to take some pictures there and then and grabbed my phone off my left hand in which i held the blunt and pipe which consequently fell into the river- floating away 'evily'. I almost cried. I swear, for a split second, I contemplated homicide. And this nigga just laughed, saying we can buy more weed. With what money Kibera, with What Money!!? Fuck Kibera.

I had to walk back home depressed as shit, but not like the good healthy shit you get after eating fruits, vegetables and meat. This is some depressed shit, the type you see in a old people's home toilets or a taco bell, (I'm assuming). Thank God the chicken was cooked and i chose the best meats for myself. I chilled for a bit watching Dave season 2. Then decided to save the drumstick for the munchies later. I could've taken a Nap but these frkn cows need to eat twice a day and I had to go down the valley for like the fourth time today. Now I'm super Exhausted and mad. Like Don't-even-breath-in-my-direction-or-I'll-smite-you typa way. I take 50 shillings of my hard earned money and hike this hill to the next village where my plug is. I got some weed and came back to my room, ready to end the day with a good weed session and some tasty tasty fried chicken!

But nooooooooo! This fuvking cat that I feed and rub, Play with and clean after, had to sneak into my room, and steal my drumstick. Fuuuuuccckkk! Fuck fuck! The fucking disrespect! And worst of all is that this is the second time it has done this. I thought my lecture to it last time would have instilled some discipline into it or made it less of a total asshole. Eventhough it spent most of its time licking it's body and teeth during the lecture, I had still hoped that Richard Parker, (the cats name) would've respected my boundaries when it came to my chicken. I was angry and held by all it's limbs and stared at it. I looked into it's cold cute eyes, thinking, contemplating, dark dark thoughts. Here it was licking its teeth with a protruding belly full of my chicken! My happy ending to a horrendous day! For more than a split second, I thought of throwing it to the dog or the river, or living it a far away forest, but I, I was weak. And decided just to vent here, cause I know some of y'al are fellow cat owner and may understand. Thanks.

Damn guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted something, but i couldn’t keep it in. So I started watching Peaky Blinders and like holy fuuuuuccckkk! Sweet baby jesus! i finished that shit in like 2 and a half days, cause dammmnnnn Cillian Murphy and his acting....Fuck. The things that man does to me... You know when you have like a quiet period when you don’t fangirl over some celebrity that doen’t know u exist, but then u find a new series and u watch and the fangirling takes over your body and all u want to do is give yourself to that man and watch every fucking interview, see every picture of him? Yes, this is happening to me all over again with Mr. Cillian fucking Murphy, cause why not ruin my life dreaming about a man that i will never meet? It also made me think about this space however, and how there are still soooo many fans who are willing to fucking excuse MSI just because Lindsey is in it and they don’t want to complicate their feelings towards Gerard.

i know we’ve talked a lot about MCR and their rebellion against the nostalgia circle jerking of WWWY, but i think it’s super important to consider it alongside hayley williams’ speech, which happened around 20 minutes before MCR’s set.

i think it’s important because they were both fighting similar wars in the beginning. they were fighting to be respected in a genre that they were helping to catapult into the public consciousness. they were both treated like shit by their peers, villified by the media and disrespected by ‘fans’ in the scene, and only by prioritising their own creativity and art and by cultivating a fan base that appreciated it, did they manage to shake that shit off.

wwwy is a festival created for the sake of those looking to relive the emo days of yesterdecade. and that’s fine. there’s nothing wrong with nostalgia, and nostalgia tours - if the years you’re reliving are good ones. if they’re the best you have to offer.

for paramore and mcr, the best is yet to come. for paramore, the noughties were filled with misogyny and sexism, and now there’s less of that. for mcr, the noughties were filled with homophobia and pressure to conform, and now there’s less of that too. for them both, the early 2000s was a period of time where they had to work harder than everyone else to get a foot in the door.

and in 2022, you have them headline your nostalgia festival, because guess who kept selling all their tickets and releasing good music while the sexist, homophobic creeps kept falling into obscurity, or put behind bars, or cancelled on twitter? guess who’s still big enough to pull those emo crowds?
