I forced myself to draw something after the 2016 election. I forced myself to draw something when my mother died in 2018. I forced myself to draw something when my spouse was hospitalized for multiple organ failure in 2021.

When you are miserable, make something. Add a row to your project, bake a box cake, draw on a sheet of lined paper, write a poem on a napkin, fold an origami shirt out of a dollar bill, make your favorite recipe for dinner, but make something with your hands, something that you can hold and look at engage your senses in.

It won't fix the world, but it will change the world. You will have made something that didn't exist before. You will have impacted your reality, even in a very small way. And it is going to be something you made *after.* Something bad happened, something shook you, and you made something after, in spite of it.

I had the chance to be there for day 2, and I’ll have to agree 😭. I was actually kind of annoyed that it was a very specific artistic choice to mostly show just the shadows on the main screens instead of their freaking faces! For the people that could only see the screens, it was extra disappointing. And for a frank girl, he was on for like two minutes total (not an exact figure, but that’s what it felt like) Also the show really didn’t connect with the more casual MCR listeners until towards the end. Gerard felt off, like he couldn’t totally find his rhythm, however I don’t think it was the same on day one based solely on Anthony Green’s rave review. But of course whenever Gerard sounded good, he sounded better than anyone else on earth lol. The rest of the band however, is another story. Ray was iiiinncreeedible, Mikey was having the time of his life and I couldn’t really see Frank too much, which I’m ready to re watch all the videos. I did, even from afar, noticed Gerard kept looking at Frank during this is how I disappear. Like half the freaking song, no throw away glances— directly at him. Someone upload the video already!!

first, sorry to bring up old ass shit but your posts were really important for me and I wanted to let you know. holy moly I didn't know/didn't realize how awful girlgerard was. i haven't looked at his blog since like 2022 but during the MCR revival tour when i was watching live streams i'd be reading his posts at the same time, drinking the Kool-aid but I didn't actually have tumblr at the time so I didn't know the conversations surrounding her and just continued to be in that weird ass fetishy echo chamber. it's wild though because his constant yearning for gerard and the other band members and their non-traditionally attractive appearances, and constant trans head-canoning helped me accept myself as a non-binary person and even explore gender in new ways that I was too scared to do before. Truly his posts were lifechanging for me and how I perceived myself and my gender and yet I now realize how deeply awful and invasive she was/is. (ntm all the anti-racist posturing, lynz stuff, and more recently her flat out refusal to admit that israel is committing genocide jfc) i was too caught up in the MCR special interest, trans special interest, queer trans visibility excitement of it all (and honestly also the horniness) to fucking think critically and touch grass and man I have way more discernment now thank god. anyway just wanted to thank you for your posts about him because otherwise I wouldn't have known because I very intentionally avoid most online "discourse" because it gets so tiring and confusing and life sucking. hope you're doing well

i don’t know who needs to hear this, but kristin is 100% in the right for blocking that fan in her instagram comments section. because that fan wasn’t just talking about the palestine boycott of disney, that fan was being rude, cruel, accusatory, starting fights in the comment section and generally being unhinged. that “fan” is appropriating real life conflict into a personal tool to bully and recruit fellow bullies to gain a personal sense of power. truly punishing a butterfly for flapping its wings believing that it caused the hurricane across the globe. completely out of touch to reality.

there is a reason to boycott every single company out there and people have thier lives to live. you don’t know the battles they have picked in their private life. and when you demonize people for not turning their personal accounts into political accounts you reward silence. i mention this because most of these unreasonable comments i see are fully willing to give ray and gerard a pass simply for not posting.

and if you really only want a statement from your favourite celebrities on world conflicts, more so then you want statements from your government and other world organizations- then you are the one who is out of touch.

Anthony Green’s only real crime to the MCR fandom? Not being Gerard, whose own PR fuckups have long ago been deleted or forgotten.

Frank is in an active band that is not MCR, and after all the baseless theorizing about their Big Return, many online MCR fans find that behavior and every single thing he has done or said since that last show in Japan to be absolutely unacceptable.

And I see MCR fans are suggesting Frank should be left out of MCR now?? What the fuck??

The LSD AI video was dumb, and yes, they should have turned off comments and shut up, but the hate Anthony and the rest of LSD has gotten for fumbling the backlash was and continues to be gross and unreasonable.
