Jixer just left with his (hopefully) new mom, Laurie. They're headed to San Rafael (CA) where Jixer will be an only cat, which will make him very happy because he'll get all the attention he craves. Thank you, Laurie, for (hopefully) giving Jixer a wonderful, new, loving home! SNAP Cats uses Smart Cat, all natural cat litter.

Spent a good portion of my time looking for Kitty Treats that are Diabetic friendly today. No luck. I know many of you make your own Kitty Food. Meet: Lucky, Spayed Female, 10 Years 8 Months, Senior
Lucky is Sponsored by: Tara Sims
SNAP Cats rescued Lucky from San Francisco, CA. Lucky is a little spitfire of a cat. For what she lacks in size she makes for in tortietude! Lucky came to us recovering from alopecia (fur loss), which we think was due to a flea allergy. Her coat has fully recovered now. Lucky tolerates other cats, as long as they keep their distance (about two feet away), so she’d be okay in a with another cat or two, but would probably love being an only kitty. Lucky’s favorite time of the day is at night – she sleeps on top of you, right on top. And it’s a bit comical because when you go to roll over or move, Lucky gives a low growls and hisses to let you know she doesn’t like moving. But it’s not aggressive at all. Just a complaint!
If you have room in your heart and your home for a petite spitfire of a cat, please let us know. Thanks!

NETWORKING BECAUSE WE CAN AND BECAUSE WE CARE!
Meet: Georgia Peach, Spayed Female, 12 Years, Diabetic
Georgia Peach is just that: a peach! She’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Georgia’s markings are one-of-a-kind, and she loves people! To make Georgia even more special, she’s diabetic, which means she’ll need a little extra care (she’s worth it!) and can live a long, happy, healthy life if given the chance.
Georgia Peach is at Contra Costa Animal Service in Martinez (CA). If you can adopt Georgia Peach please let us know. If you’d like to deal directly with the shelter their number is: 925.335.8300; Georgia Peach’s animal ID number is: A872280. Thanks!

NETWORKING BECAUSE WE CAN AND BECAUSE WE CARE!
This is Theodore. He’s currently at San Francisco SPCA. Theodore’s 8 years-old and has diabetes and a heart murmur. The heart murmur shouldn’t cause any problems, and often times diabetes can be reversed with a proper, healthy diet. We had a cat, Buddy, who beat his diabetes with a warm home and a good nutritional diet. Theodore also has some dental issues but they’ll be cleared up by the shelter should he be adopted. Theodore’s very friendly with both people and cats. Don’t know about dogs. He’s up to date on vaccines, and id FeLV/FIV negative.
We’re currently at capacity with foster and fospice cats, so we can’t take Theodore into our program. He’ll need to be adopted from SF SPCA. If you can give Theodore a warm, loving home please let us know. Thanks!

Simon, Neutered Male, 10 Years, Diabetic
We just rescued Simon from San Francisco. He went into foster last night with Jaide, and is doing great so far. Along with being diabetic, he has the usual suspects of getting old. We'll post more on Simon after he's examined by Dr. Erin.

Meet: Georgia, Spayed Female, 11 Years 8 Months, Diabetic Senior
Georgia is Sponsored by: Tawny Brunetta
SNAP Cats rescued Georgia from Martinez, CA. Georgia is a real peach! She’s a super friendly senior who gets along great with other cats, and takes her twice-daily insulin shots without fuss. And Georgia’s quite vocal. If she wants something she’ll let you know! If you’re looking for an affectionate, loyal sidekick, Georgia’s the one for you.
