We did a lot for our anniversary this year because it was our first and that’s just where we are right now. But the overarching theme has been good food. I’m pretty sure the key to a good marriage is good food. At least for us🤷🏼‍♀️ We hit @catch_35 last night to celebrate with an amazing meal a day early - knowing we’d likely be in food comas and just wanted to come home and veg afterwards. Which we did, and it was everything. We hit @dancingmarlin for their amazeballs Sunday brunch this morning for our actual anniversary because, brunch. (hiiiighly recommend if you’re in the SW Chicago burbs, btw) And later we have possibly our most traditional meal yet: year old wedding cake and tbh I’ve been waiting for this ALL.👏🏻DANG.👏🏻WEEK.👏🏻 Though we’re a little nervous to eat something that’s a year old and not wine🙃 All that aside, we’re excited to continue spending today exactly how we spend a lot of our fall Sundays: taking a long walk in the last of the comfortable weather with Bix, watching football and getting a little done around the house. Because really, you shouldn’t do what you two enjoy most just one day a year.
