It's the first time I see African people culture so well represented. From the importance of music to slavery. It's so intense and well done that I have no words.

I know we don't know how Olrox and Mizrak's relationship is going to go yet but it is not at all comparable to Hector and Lenore.

Olrox claimed not to care if Mizark died and then went on to save his life. Lenore manipulated and raped Hector.

These are not at all alike. I am genuinely concerned that people say they are.

Another thing I've just realized is that Hector and Alucard, the worst victims of torture porn and with a terrible treatment of their trauma, are the only characters that still retain their original designs, more or less.

In my post I called it ukeification because they also happen to be the most feminine (and while Alucard at least retained his strength, poor Hector was completely deprived of it), but also, I kinda find it scummy somehow? Characters who don't look anything like their original counterparts, like Trevor and Isaac, and also happen to be more masculine, didn't suffer nearly as much - in fact Isaac, who has almost nothing in common with his game version and is pretty much an OC, is by far the luckiest character in the cast. But Hector and Alucard, who viewers have to perceive as the "real" Hector and Alucard, are treated like chew toys at best and rape fetish victims at worst.

I hope that I explained clearly why I find it kind of suspicious. It almost feels like an insidious version of shilling your OCs while shitting on the canon cast, but without admitting that those are in fact OCs but instead pretending that they're "improved versions".

Honestly, if it is the case that we’re getting a LoZ or Metroid series, allegedly the latter (though Nintendo have said they have “nothing to comment on” right now WRT, which may be a possible “no”), I would say that I’d rather reserve judgement on it until it comes to fruition.

...if it does; which is the reason for the apprehension in my last sentence. There’s also a lot that could go wrong with a potential gamble, not least the latter, but whether it would actually be any good and capture the “true essence” (YMMV) of the series in question.

At this point, I have higher hopes for the frigging Mario movie than any potential LoZ series. Maybe a potential Metal Gear Solid or Metroid series (pls pls pls the latter Nintendo).

Ah well, we shall see...

I just finished Castlevania from Netfilx and my only though is...

ALUCARD WASN'T READY TO STAY ALONE IN THAT CASTLE YET!

HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO STAY SURROUNDED BY HIS PAST'S GHOSTS!

IF MY BABY START THE NEXT SEASON MAD LIKE DRACULA WAS, I'M GOING TO SHOOT SOMEONE!!

I actually don't mind this.  There have been protagonist Dracula's before.  My favorite being Fred Saberhagen's Dracula books.   My only stipulations are as follows. 1. Let him keep his traditional powers.  i.e. walk in the daylight (That's from the novel, folks! READ IT!  He and Carmilla were just weaker by day and couldn't shapeshift during daylight hours), Let him be able to turn into a bat, wolf, and mist.  Don't nerf him to make him "more relatable" (Cough) NBC series (Cough.) 2.    Let him keep his fifteenth century sensibilities 'i.e. "He robbed me, that means I have a right to torture him slowly until he dies, yes?"   He can be a protagonist with some f--ked up points of view.  He's Dracula. Let him BE problematic!   Castlevania did this well.   Note: People who bitched that Saberhagen's Dracula is "problematic" really can't comprehend non-Gary Stu righteous protagonists, can they? (I'm looking at you, Tumblr). 3.  Let him actually LIKE and enjoy what he is.  Don't make him broody and whiny about wanting to be human.  (Cough) NBC Dracula (Cough). Have I mentioned I hated the NBC show?!???

I’m glad the Castlevania series is back on Netfilx with a new season. I wasn’t expecting Hector to be in it, but since his game was one of the few I’ve played, it was a nice surprise.

Vore trash aside, I loved the Netfilx animated series a lot. (don’t know too much about the video game series)But since we’re talkin about vore trash: There’s certainly some characters that’d make for excellent preds (and excellent giants for that matter.)

And now I need to rewatch Castlevania
