It has been a while since I liveblogged. I want to finish watching castle before summer is over.

She got a job ok, they got engaged ok.

KR: You know, I don’t think Jenny and I have been apart for more than two days since we met. It’s gotta be rough. (HOLY CRAP WAIT WHAT?) RC: I just feel like we’re so out of sync I don’t know how to get back. I guess I was just … trying to make it feel like us again. JE: Yeah, by playing me and Ryan for chumps. (KR nods, but it’s not in anger) You should have known that we were going to figure out this case was real. RC: Well, you’ll be happy to know for my sins I was abducted by a maniac at gunpoint and nearly killed. But at least I didn’t get Beckett fired. [They’re both surprised.] JE: Whoa, whoa, abducted? (RC pauses) By who? RC: realizes he might have said too much and tries to evade. RC: Look guys, I really shouldn’t be talking about this. [They don’t let him off so easily.] KR: C’mon, Castle. It’s us. JE: And thanks to you, we’re already involved. KR: nods. RC: Okay, but this goes no further, all right? (at KR’S nod) So I’m walking down the street and this guy that they’re looking for grabs me, shoves me into a car, starts talking crazy, starts asking me all these questions. JE: What kind of questions? RC: Something about Valkyrie, how much the feds knew, and then I thought he was going to pass out, because he was talking about going off to dream world. (JE freezes & looks off with his eyes) But he didn’t pass out. He dropped dead. JE: Uh … this guy? Was he, uh, was he military?

RC: Why? Is Valkyrie a military term? JE: I don’t know about Valkyrie, but Dream World? It’s a highly classified special operations base in the Gulf. It’s a ghost base. The government’s never confirmed its existence, but I – I met a guy who knew a guy who was stationed there. (everyone knows someone who knows someone) RC: (intrigued) Where is it? JE: It’s – it’s a ghost base, Castle. You think it’s going to say where it is? KR and RC share a look, then look to JE. They both shake their head. JE: No. But I will tell you this, if Beckett’s case has anything to do with this base, well, then she’s into something way bigger than she realizes. (won't clip, not even the double shale heads of rystle)

Oh no they lost her, beckett's instincts screwed them up. Or not nvm. If you've never seen it then why were you running away with evasion tactics? Is this the same interrogation room as the precinct & they just dolled it up differently?

20240517: the History of LEGO Castle day 138. Fireball Catapult (2005, 45 pieces, 26 different parts) Fireball Catapult is a mostly black and reddish brown catapult with reddish brown 4x4 brick circle wheels which launches a trans neon orange 8 blade propeller with a red rubber band attached between two hinged sections. The two minifigures with this set are: -Santis has a red full face visor on a dark tan helmet, a yellow minifigure head with full, thick, black beard, mustache, and bangs, a plain red torso with dark tan hands, red armor with a gold bear head print, and red legs with a dark tan belt. He carries a white triangular shield with a printed gold bear head on a red background and a pearl sand blue angular sword. This version of Santis is found in three sets (8801 Knights Attack Barge, 8873 Fireball Catapult, and 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress) and the three versions of the Knights Kingdom table top game (218066 Das Spiel in German, 218141 Le Jeu in French, and 218158 Multi-Language). -A shadow knight with a black angled cheek protection helmet, a yellow minifigure head with thick black "v" forehead print with space between the beard and sideburns, a black torso with dark red arms and black hands, a black scorpion on a dark red background, and black legs with a dark red belt, carrying a black halberd. New and unique parts for this set include: -The red horse battle helmet was unique to this set. -The dark red 1x2 brick with side horizontal bar was only found in one other set, 4774 Scorpion Orb Launcher. -The pearl light gray 6.6L bar with stopper was only found as an alternate in one other set, 8762 Ferrari Finish Line. -The trans neon orange 8 blade propeller was only found in four sets, 4793 Ogel Sub Shark, 8873 Fireball Catapult, 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress, and 70358 Aaron's Stone Destroyer. -The reddish brown 6x1 inverted curved brick was only found in four other sets, 4507 Prehistoric Creatures, 7197 Venice Canal Chase, 7752 Count Dooku's Solar Sailer, and 41150 Moana's Ocean Voyage. -Royal blue / blue violet parts for this set: 4x1 left wave flag.

The flashback scene for Liz tells us where we are. In order to understand Kate’s full intent with the suitcase, we remove Tom’s arc. So we pick up where Liz learned the identity of the bones while removing all the answers Tom found.  Working this backwards to point out the fact that this entire scene is from Liz’s point of view, so everything seen is of her own feelings and her own beliefs. 

Liz: And Reddington nearly found out about Jennifer. And I think he would have killed her [too].

Those shown prior to her dialogue about Jennifer are people she believes Red killed to keep his secret. If Red cared at all to keep this secret from Jennifer, she’d be dead. He would’ve found her and killed her himself. 

Tom: I figured it out. The whole thing. Why Nik was killed. All of it.

Tom figured out Red’s identity without hearing Dom’s story about Ilya. If Red cared at all about Tom learning his truth, he would’ve allowed Garvey’s men to kill him or put the builet in his head himself. He died because he ignored Red’s warning. 

Kaplan: I have it, Raymond. I went there and I dug it up, and I’m gonna give it to her.

Kaplan already knew who Red was, and likely knew since he hired her. She’s the one who dug up the bones ffs. Red shooting her in the face had everything to do with her betrayal and nothing to do with his identity. And I’m pretty sure she jumped to her death. 

Naomi: He’s not who you think he is.

Naomi’s true status is still unknown. If she’s truly dead, those details are still unknown. She clearly knew his real identity and he didn’t bother to kill her. 

Sam: Before I go, I have to tell her. Red: I can’t let you do that. Sam: She deserves the truth.

Sam is the only person out of this flashback series who was killed for knowing Red’s truth, and he was killed because he wanted to reveal that truth to Liz. A dying man’s desire to clear his conscious, without thought or care to what that truth would leave behind. 

Diane: I know the truth, Red. About that night.

A woman not knowing the truth about Red, but the truth about that night. Here, she was speaking of the real Red and what happened to his family. She didn’t die because she knew Red was an imposter. She died because she didn’t know. He already knows what happened because he was there. 

Adding in those three from 6x1, then a reverse back to Jennifer. 

Jennifer: Look, Liz - I get that we’re on our own and that Reddington can’t find out what we’re doing, but can you explain to me again why we can’t just go to one person in the FBI? Liz: It’s too risky - Jennifer: Because you think he’ll find out? Liz: He will. Anyone who’s ever gotten close to the truth about who Reddington was before he became Reddington ended up dead. My husband, Dr. Koehler. Jennifer: Ian Garvey.

Add in Dr. Koehler and Ian Garvey. Two men Red clearly didn’t kill. In fact, Red was going to spare Ian Garvey for Jennifer’s sake. 

Jennifer: That’s why I’m standing here, asking you - my father - to please save him. Red: That’s entirely up to him.

It was Liz who killed Ian Garvey, and did so because Garvey took a shot at Red. His own way of saying he and Red couldn’t co-exist just as Red and Kaplan couldn’t. And as clear as it can be known, Dr. Koehler was the one who changed Red’s face, so he knew his truth from the start. Red wasn’t there to kill the doctor, but to save him. Now, adding in Red’s knowledge of Donald Ressler knowing his imposter truth, and doing nothing of it. They’re making a point. Back to Jennifer’s dialogue. 

Liz: We are so close. Jennifer: Yeah, but to what? To becoming him?

That’s the point of stepping into Tom’s shoes. Tom igniting the war against Garvey. Red having to clean up his mess. Ressler and Liz igniting the war against the Russians. Red having to clean up their mess. Whatever happens, it will be the result of their own doing, not Red’s - just as it was Tom’s own doing with Ian Garvey. Because it’s not the truth that kills, it’s what they do with it. 

By stepping into Tom’s shoes, becoming him - they become a ghost. 

Red: Lizzy, your mother is dead.

Now everything reverses. From the stepfather at the Summer Palace, to the biological father at the fire. It’s the point of the wedding ring vs the bag. 

Katarina could no sooner choose the father of her child while married to Constantin. Now it’s the opposite. From Tom’s death to Ressler’s castle. 

They’re landing on Agnes. What we should see with Liz, is something similar to what we saw of Katarina while she was writing in her journal in episode 4x3.  

... and that Agnes is safe.  Agnes. 

I’ll keep you safe, I promise. 

They’ve been setting Keenler up as endgame since the start. 

To stand at the helm of your destiny. 

The blacklist is Red’s one more time. He’ll be passing the torch to Ressler.  That’s why everything lands on Agnes. She’ll be the one to reveal both Tom’s truth and Red’s truth. The Keenler baby reveal, then the Rederina reveal. 

Many surgeries over the course of a year for Rederina.  All they need is a year for Agnes’ arc, revealing all. 

The attack on Agnes should run opposite parallel the Takoma house.
