Ranting about supernatural because I hate this show so so much (I’m so so obsessed with it to the point where it’s concerning) and I’m on season 6 episode 20 “the man who would be king” and can I just say how incredibly annoying the boys are! Like can you maybe hear cas out maybe! His reasons for doing these things aren’t malicious or demonic. He is fighting a war in heaven which they couldn’t give to shits about and now they are gonna be mad because he was MANIPULATED by crowley (I love the man but still) like can they use their brains for one moment. And I feel this may come off like I hate Sam and dean and I do not in any way they are very complex characters with trauma and trust issues but cas has done everything for them. He was trying to save them. He didn’t know the outcome. Like Sam and dean have never made a mistake before. Because I remember a couple seasons ago where Sam was going crazy gorging on demon blood because he thought he could do good with that power! So why be so hypocritical and get mad at cas in the way they did. And can we just talk about how broken cas looked when they trapped him in the holy fire! Like Sam said to him did you bring me back without a soul on purpose and his eyes god! Like in what world would castiel who saved you both from hell do that purposely! It was already hard enough to save dean it was a group project in a way he didn’t have help with Sam! And cas is also doing all of this because he thinks its what god wants. He is so blinded by his faith again because he got brought back to life. He had the idea that he was brought back for this reason and chuck did absolutely nothing because all he wants is drama and trauma for the collective and not caring about how his kids feel! Castiels faith breaks my heart because no one could understand it. Dean couldn’t and Sam couldn’t. Castiel has been an angel since the beginning it’s not so easy to give up everything you’ve ever known even when you know that it might not be the right thing. Was it easy for dean to see his father the way everyone else saw John. No. So why can’t it be difficult for cas. They truly never give cas a break. And yes I’m a major destiel shipper. But the way dean acts towards cas sometimes makes me so enraged. But this “breakup” dean looked heartbroken. Castiel had lied to him. Him of all people. The man who he had a profound bond with. He just wanted cas to ask for help and cas didn’t because he doesn’t do that. He’s never been not capable before things have never been this difficult for him before. And when you look at what castiel did there was truly nothing wrong with it. He was blinded and manipulated and he didn’t want all of the shit they endured to stop the apocalypse to be for nothing. He didn’t go to dean because he saw dean living a normal life he saw him getting out and he wanted to respect that. How could castiel have known dean wasn’t happy in that life. Castiel isn’t very good with human emotions and his thinking is very black and white while the winchesters have shades of gray thinking. So how is it fair to blame cas for all of it. I’m sorry about this rant i just feel so much about this! Like castiel is my favorite fictional character of all time and I wish I could’ve teleported into the show and been his lawyer because no one would listen to him no one ever does. I love all of them very very much but it would be dumb to think castiel doesn’t deserve better. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk about castiel. It may happen again

Summary: Castiel loving and being loved.

Castiel was an angel of the Lord, one to be feared and seen but never worshiped. Angels were merely here to do God's bidding. To pray upon or on them was to sin. Only God shall receive such treatment from his children. 

Yet, when she spoke of loving him, Cas only listened. 

"I love you more than life," she would whisper in the dead of night when only the stars could hear. 

No, she could not say such words. God gave her life; she must not take his gift for granted, for it was her laugh that brought life to the buds inside his chest. Every smile and touch bloomed these buds until he was ready to share his bouquet with her. 

"I love you more than I should." She shouldn't love him at all. He was undeserving of such feelings. To him, love was what he had known all his life. Love is to protect. Protect the word of God. Ensure the security of Heaven. Punish the undeserving. But this. She did not love him in such a way. 

She loved the way rosemary craved the sun. Gentle and soft, full of life, full of light. She was his sun, and that couldn't be. Without her, he would wither away. The bouquet in his chest would wilt away to nothing, leaving a gaping wound that would bleed for eternity. 

"I love you more than God." Castiel, the angel of the Lord's mind, went silent. The wind blew through his head, swirling in and out. 

She wasn't allowed to say that.

Yet, He wanted to hear it again. He wanted her to speak it slower and softer until it became gospel. 

This was treason. He should shove her to the ground and command that all her love was sick until directed to his almighty. But he did none of that. 

Castiel pulled her closer, held her tighter in the way a grieving loved one clutched their rosary and buried his head deeper into the dip of her shoulder. 

"Say that again," he growled in desperation.

"I love you more than God, Castiel." The feeling this gave him could never be explained. All he wanted was her. And the sudden urge to consume every piece of her was overwhelming. He would start with her hands. Hold them to his chest and kiss each finger, praising what held him so perfectly—pressing them deeper into his sternum until they were falling into the cavity of his breasts. He needed to feel her heart against his. Beating into each other, vessels tangled until her blood was running through his veins—the immoral act of it all. The gory details twisted together until bone was scraping bone. 

"No," was the only thing Castiel could utter in between thoughts of her teeth sinking into each and every one of his pulse points.

"I love you more than God."

i love cas deeply but he is truly like consistently the WORST person in regards to sam’s trauma from lucifer 😭 dude lets lucifer out of the cage. after sam went to the cage to put him back there. lets lucifer possess him. has the nerve to tell SAM WINCHESTER (ceo of being violated by lucifer slash in general) that him (cas) willingly saying yes to lucifer was ‘the greatest violation’, also ‘we let lucifer out of the cage’ (king that was. you. unless you mean the first time?? which wasn’t even really sam’s fault and which he jumped into the cage to fix??). not even dean is this insensitive <3

destiel hits different when you were raised christian and told there’s a god who loves you unconditionally and is always watching over you but then you figure out thats not true he isn’t real there is no god there is no father in heaven you’re all alone nobody will save you BUT WAIT there is actually a guy who loves you unconditionally and watches over you that part is real

Jack can’t let Castiel be happy, can’t let him be taken away, can’t have it all be his fault again.

And it’s so easy (so easy that Jack hesitates because no kindness, for him, has ever been so easy to earn, so is he wrong…) when he draws so much attention to the source, grace radiating like the sun in Dean’s presence. Jack will save him—pull the dangerous emotions up at the root and burn them up with his own powers and leave Castiel completely unaware of what’s been taken or the happiness he never has to be cursed with.

I SWEAR TO GOD! They need to take shots of holy water everytime they see each other! Bring back Cristo, this is ridiculous. But Meg's back! we know that Michael is just trying to rattle them when he confirms their greatest fears about how Dean sees them: he tells Jack Dean doesn't see him as family, he tells Cas Dean only tolerates him and his many mistakes, he tells Sam Dean preferred to be with John

but when, say, later in the season and into the next, Dean says things like "Jack's not family", or "why does that something always seem to be you", or that he's gonna shoot his brother, they all believe him

I don't know what dots I'm connecting, but something something that's how we know Chuck's manipulating Dean the rest of the series because when he says/does those things it's the same episodes Chuck is explicitly meddling

AND FURTHERMORE, both Michael and Chuck throw the "gripped you tight and raised you from Perdition" line back at Cas as an insult, there's a parallel here!

I see your ‘Castiel gets to level 800 on Candy Crush’ and I raise you ‘Castiel discovers Minecraft and builds a massive town on his phone’.

It has districts accurate to various cities he’s seen around the world. It is ridiculously well-defended: there are about 100 iron golems and they are all named. There is a functioning rail system that the villagers use to get to and from the town centre. In the forest outside town are of course many beehives, with block recreations of various bee species built nearby.

After discovering redstone he figured out how to make functioning cars drive around, but doesn’t include them in the overworld city because they’re not historically accurate. He made a small modern city on the top layer of the Nether with piglins living in it and that’s where he put the cars.

In the Nether there is a monster zoo/jail. When he discovered command blocks, he made ‘glyphs’ that teleport any monster that stands on them to their respective jail cells.

This was all on Creative, and it took him trying Survival to even be aware of crafting.

I found an old fic of mine where Crowley is trying to get underneath Castiel's skin, and when Castiel admits that they're in love, it's an easy game. Immediately figuring it out that it's Sam that the angel fell for he threatens to wine and dine Sam but Castiel is sure that Crowley would end up dead if he attempted that. Castiel does get concerned when it seems as if Crowley plans on doing so through manipulation. And if it wasn't for the deal the two made, Castiel would end him right then and there. But if Crowley keeps talking, Castiel isn't sure if that's enough to hold them back.

I didn't get further than that but it's an interesting premise.
