emma got so much more compelling for me once i kind of just took the traits i gave her to their logical conclusion. what kind of a person can be deeply empathetic but also must always choose anger for like. fifteen years? someone who hasnt been to therapy <3

#its funny because im usually bad at creating ocs for IF on account of picking options that i think it would be interesting for the #cast to react TO rather than painting a cohiesive picture #WHICH! FUNNILY ENOUGH! WOULD BE A MORE INTERSTING THING FOR THE CAST TO REACT AGAINST!#and the thing is. its not like emma doesnt have CAUSE to be angry with rebecca. its more that she can never allow HERSELF to admit that #anger is a secondary emotion to feeling deeply hurt by her mother. because then she'd have to admit to #'not being strong enough' to avoid being affected by that abandonment AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT HURT #combine THAT with the unconscious conviction that theres something innate to HER that #contributed to that abandonment. and shes like. a whole mess.#i really do want her relationship w rebecca to get better but also like. im unsure if given the confines of emma's hangups. theyll find #their way there in time :(#tunes talks wayhaven #also hilarious and deeply sad that emma has a thing for emotionally unavailable weirdos <3 #I NOW KNOW WHY IN ANOTHER LIFE SHE COULDVE BEEN AN M MANCER LMAOO #oc: emma langford
