Okay, okay, I need to get this off my chest now that I've slept and shit. Cassius was 23 when he started raising Lysander. 23. My age.

He did that, all alone. All alone, with no help, as well as being persona non grata for a long while. He treated this boy like a son, he had momentos of them both in his room, he had pictures of Lysander through the years as he grew up. Only to have this little snake murder him in cold blood. It just boggles my mind how Lysander looked at those ten years and threw it all down the drain.

Hate him so much it gags me.

darrow being sad about cassius death is one of the most painful things ive ever read but right after that seeing that diomedes au raa, storm knight of the rim, one if the most stoic figures in all of the books is CRYING because cassius is dead… it just made the whole thing hit a lot different
