1.How old are you?  17. The boring age. Still stuck in high school, not yet a legal adult, and unable to drink.

2.What are your top 3 fandoms and your favorite NONCANON ships in each? Firefly- Kaylee/Jayne Dollhouse- TOPHER AND IVY (I feel like I am completely alone here BUT I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP OK) Buffy- I don't know if I have any non-canon ships?

3.Last book you read? Did you like it? The Fault in our Stars by John Green (I FINALLY READ IT) And it was amazing. Just... absolutely amazing.

4.What is the strangest thing you have in your bedroom? I have a lot of strange things in my bedroom (ITS NOT AS BAD AS IT SOUNDS). I'm just a pack-rat. I keep EVERYTHING. 

5.If you could hug one celebrity for an awkward amount of time (and they had to hug you back), who would you hug? MARTIN FREEMAN.

6.Favorite candy? SKITTLES.

7.What would someone have to offer you to make you shut down your tumblr permanently? A job with Joss Whedon, a lifetime supply of Lucky Charms marshmallows and my very own Martin Freeman.

8.Do you conciser us Tumblr friends? If not, do you think we could be? YES. We are definitely tumblr friends. BUT WE DON'T TALK AS OFTEN AS WE SHOULD.

9.What’s your weirdest fantasy? Working on a movie with all of my favorite actors and directors. Which is a very strange range of people. (I'm not going to list them all because it's a very long list but here's an example: Joss Whedon, Johnny Depp and Martin Freeman)

Umm, let's see. Well, I've never proposed or been proposed to, but I work at a McDonald's, and one night I was working and this little, like, four-year-old boy was there, and he decided to tell his family that we were dating, and it was adorable.

For me, that's what being a nerd is about. Passion. It's when you love something--a fandom, an art form, a type of science, anything--so much that it's a part of you. You spend hours on end thinking about it, analyzing it from every angle and loving the process. You want to learn as much about it as possible, and you get genuinely eyes-light-up bounce-in-your-chair excited every time you find out something new, and you don't care so much if it makes you look like an idiot or if people judge you. And you don't just keep it yourself--you want to be around people who love it as much as you do, because you want to share it all with them.

And more than that? It's being passionate about, well, passion. It's finding learning, and the arts, and critical thinking mindblowingly fantastic. Even if you yourself aren't so into, say, physics, you can appreciate other people's love for it, because you know that it makes them happy and that it will one day generate lots of awesome. You know how important it is to want to know more, to care deeply for something because of what it means to you and not because of others, to continue caring and continue learning despite others who tell you it's wrong. And you know that nerds who like stuff and learn and try and care are constantly making the world a better place.

I happened to mention "unorthodox" Buffy pairings to Cass and Buffy/Dawn came up and she looked horrified and I was like "well yeah that exists, think of any pairing and I guarantee you it exists" and she said "Giles/Willow?" "yeah" "Giles/Xander?" "yeah" and then I looked them up on AO3 to show her how many there were (82 and 134 respectively) and I think I broke her a little bit
