Bridge of Souls by Victoria Schwab (@veschwab ) *** This is the finale to the trilogy and this time we are exploring the haunted New Orleans and try to defeat a messenger of Death with Cassidy and her friends. I liked Bridge of Souls more than the previous two. Friendship is the major theme in this one and I really liked that. The setting of New Orleans is really atmospheric and goes perfectly with the story. I will definitely miss Cassidy, Jacob and Lara and I hope we'll get to see more of them in the future. Highly recommend it! Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab *** The second book in the series takes place in Paris where Cassidy's parents are filming their TV show about the world's most haunted cities. When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghost hunter and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger. And if Cass fails, the force she's unleashed could haunt the city forever. I really enjoyed reading Cassidy's adventures and explore some part of the haunted Paris with her. As always I loved Victoria's writing and how she set up the story. This one is darker and a little bit spookier than the first book, City of Ghosts. The stakes here are higher and the enemy is stronger. As far as characters go, I love the friendship dynamics between Cassidy and Jacob and I really liked learning more about him. There is also an appearance of a character from book 1 that I really liked. I highly recommend it and I am off to read book 3 , Bridge of Souls, now! ℚ𝕆𝕋𝔻: Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever had a supernatural experience? ⁣ ⁣ I definitely believe in ghosts!! I went on a ghost/haunted tour I was in Edinburgh two & a half years ago. It was way out of my comfort zone but so much fun!! They took us to the underground vaults and to Greyfriars Cemetery. It was such a cool to learn about the history of the city plus hear some great ghost stories. ⁣ Fun fact: the tour guide got me so bad that I literally fell over two separate times! 😂⁣ ⁣ I absolutely had to read City of Ghosts because it 1) takes place in Edinburgh (aka my favorite city [tied with London]) and 2) is by Victoria Schwab. City of Ghosts was a fun and quick read. I absolutely loved exploring the streets of Edinburgh. So here is the book I started this afternoon after I finished The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. 😄😍❤ . . . . Happy Valentines Day. Happy Friday. After a long hiatus, I’m back to posting on my blog.
