After two days of endless flirting and filling more pages of his sketchbook than he wanted to admit with drawings of her, the moment had finally arrived. Cassandra and S’Talon had collided in a blur of lips, hands, and discarded clothing, ending up in his bed.

She’d taken his lok so well. Despite his intimidating height and size compared to her own, the Ensign had been eager to allow him to do as he liked. She’d trusted him with her beautiful body, and S’Talon had done his best to make sure that trust was not misplaced. He’d spent longer between her legs than he’d intended to, but he couldn’t help it. How could he resist drowning in her pleasure when she produced such a powerful aphrodisiac? There was no other explanation. She was utterly intoxicating.

The Captain had sketched her like that, of course. How could he not? She’d been so angelic as he dove between her thighs with fervor. The sweet little sounds that came from her mouth had only served to make him ache for her that much more.

A sleepy little sound poured from the warm body splayed across S’Talon’s bed. The thin, gray sheet did nothing to conceal the way his lover’s skin was reacting to the cool ambient temperature of the room. As he lounged beside her and smeared charcoal into the shape of her hickey-dotted neck, S’Talon couldn’t keep a smile off his lips.

The memory of the whimpers she let out as he left each one sent a fresh pulse of arousal straight to his lok. Cassandra - Cass as he’d taken to calling her - stretched slightly in her sleep, making the bedsheet slip tantalizingly off her chest. Her chill-hardened nipples teased him mercilessly as he sketched out the halo of dark brown hair spread beneath her head atop the pillow: hair that he’d luxuriated in while he’d made love to her. The silken strands had flowed between his fingertips so sensually as he’d kissed her.

And he had made love to her, make no mistake. A woman like her deserved to be cherished in that way. As his charcoal skipped and skidded across the page to create the curves of her breasts, S’Talon recalled the way she’d begged and pleaded with him, seemingly so deep in her desire that even she didn’t know what she wanted when he’d sucked at her. More? Less? He’d opted for more, of course. She’d whimpered so helplessly when he’d used his teeth to nibble gently at her sensitive skin. Cass’s fingers had dug into his salt-and-pepper hair, clutching at him as if he was her only lifeline. Beautiful, responsive girl.

He smudged the shape of her now-bruised hips onto the page, paying careful attention to the scar across her upper thighs before setting the sketchbook aside. He’d tortured himself enough with the sight of her looking so angelic beside him. Wiping his hands clean on a spare cloth, S’Talon rolled over and started laying soft, warm kisses over her sternum, moving steadily downwards toward his goal.

Savoring the sensation of her sweet body arching up into his warm touch as he descended, the Romulan caressed her sides softly with his fingertips and nipped at the skin just below her belly button. When she shivered in response, S’Talon inhaled her pheromones deep into his lungs and let out a moan of his own. She truly was more intoxicating than the strongest ale. By the time his mouth met the soft patch of fuzz over her mound, small fingers met the top of his head.

Cass was awake.

Smirking and looking up at her, he relished the pretty blush that colored her cheeks as she processed what was happening.

“S’Talon...” The way she breathed his name made him growl against her skin. She whimpered at the predatory sound, and that’s when he lifted her legs over his shoulders to feast upon her. Her lower lips were still puffy from his earlier affections, and a rivulet of his spend dripped out of her onto his tongue. Moaning loudly against her clit, S’Talon’s lust sent his blood roaring in his ears at the taste of their mixed fluids on his tongue. Grasping her thighs firmly, he looked up just in time to see her arch her back in pleasure. He would have to draw that gorgeous sight after this round if he could manage to keep his hands off her, of course.

She must still have been sensitive from their earlier rounds - naturally, there had been many, and the night was barely half over. When the morning came around, he didn’t look forward to giving her up so that she could attend to her duty shift. Perhaps he could convince her commanding officer that he required her presence for diplomatic reasons...

Smiling against her clit at the thought of making her scream for the sake of diplomacy, the Captain redoubled his efforts. When she finally tensed and shouted his name, he drank her ecstasy with gusto. Every drop was ambrosia quenching S’Talon’s thirst in a way nothing else could. He could spend all his days between her legs and never tire of hearing his lover succumbing to his ministrations.

“So good for me, e’lev,” he praised as he prowled his way up her body, savoring the way her hands skimmed down his face to grasp his broad shoulders. What a sight they must make! The Ensign was smaller than he was in every respect. As she clung to him, her legs spread wide to accommodate his hips. “My lovely little lady...my Cass.”

He nibbled her earlobe as his lok pierced her slit once more, their groans mingling as easily as their bodies.

“May I fill you again, lhhei? I’m quite a greedy man when it comes to pleasure, and there is no greater pleasure than fucking you full of me,” he murmured rolling his hips slowly. She deserved tenderness, and S’Talon had made it quite clear from the start that she would receive it from him.

“Please...S’Talon, please, I need it!” She called, and the sound of her begging for his seed chipped away at his resolve to go carefully. Thrusting just a little faster, the Romulan trailed kisses across her jaw to those soft lips of hers, claiming them as his own. Cassandra’s calves hooked around his hips, forcing him deeper with every undulation of his pelvis.

Nuzzling the dark bite mark on her neck, S’Talon smiled hazily at the memory of what had prompted him to such savagery. She’d driven him to the brink of insanity with that pretty little mouth of hers, sucking at his lok as if it was one of those jumja sticks from the Promenade. When she’d finally crawled up his body and started to ride him, S’Talon had sat up and wrapped his arms around her. Those beautiful tits of hers pressed against his own naked chest, making some part of his restraint snap, and before he knew it, a warm burst of metallic liquid burst across his tongue as she shouted his name. His arms had pulled her flush against his hips as he met his own end within her.

It had been a long time since he’d been wracked by an orgasm that intense. What was this little Human doing to him?

The sting of her fingernails digging into his back as he struck that spot inside her brought him back to the present. She was close again. Reaching between them, S’Talon rubbed her clit in tight, slippery circles and looked into her eyes. He wanted to witness her shattering again at his hand.

“Say my name for me,” he ordered as he felt her walls fluttering around him, practically begging him to finish them both. One of Cassandra’s hands buried itself in his hair as she obeyed him.

“S’Talon! S’Talon, ah!” Her jaw dropped open as she fell to pieces beneath him. Watching as she was enveloped by ecstasy, S’Talon finally shattered too, spilling deep within her and growling her name.

The Captain practically purred when she dragged him into a deep, passionate kiss. Cradling her close, he rolled so that she was able to lie atop his chest while she caught her breath.

“Such a good girl for me, Cassandra. My beautiful, green-eyed lady...” The affectionate, adoring look she gave him was one he knew he’d have to paint later. She deserved so much more than a single canvas, and Riov S’Talon of the T’Met would ensure that she got it.

I do enjoy the “Purifiers”, “Brotherhood of Humanity”, and “Reavers”… they fulfill pretty basic storylines.

Don’t care for Orphanmaker and Nanny, Trevor Fitzroy, or Fabian Cortez.

Apocalypse is okay- never been a major favorite.

I LOVE the Brood and whatever aliens were featured after “a Love Story” with Storm and Forge.

I actually really liked evil Rogue and the Brotherhood in general. (Mystique and Destiny are my hardcore favorite villains!)

Everyone loves Magneto- even though he’s overused.

Juggernaut is fine- not my favorite but his storylines are fine- his relationship with Black Tom is kind of what seals it for me.

I LOVE evil psychopathic Sabertooth…but the comics kind of ruined his character.

Never really got into Deathbird, D’Ken, or the Shi’ar- they’re fine but it’s not something I get excited for…

Everyone loves Mister Sinister- honestly I wish they would bring back Liu’s version of Miss Sinister because she was great.

Weirdly not a fan of Exodus, despite being a fan of telekinesis….

Lady Deathstrike is fine- again, not my favorite but I do enjoy her.

I DO miss evil Emma- I liked her heel change but they have never been able to find a character to fill that space ☹��

I do guiltily LOVE Empath… I know he’s creepy and problematic but he IS a great villain when written as a psychopath.

Kind of miss Mastermind- Regan isn’t as fun as the original.

I DO weirdly love Arcade and Miss Locke…but like Sabertooth, they kind of ruined the character by trying to “update” him and make him “cool” 😒

Deadpool & Wolverine

The attempts at evoking something resembling human emotional connections (the Deadpool and Vanessa stuff, the Laura and Logan stuff, Cassandra Nova’s decision to tear it all down in anger) are laughably hollow. As a Gen X/elder millennial meme delivery platform, it’s fine, though Ryan Reynolds’s shtick wears very thin by the fifth time Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine tells Deadpool to “shut the fuck up.” The cameos, which are really the draw of the film, are amusing, and the actors are reasonably committed to their bits. The sanctioned buffonery at Disney’s expense feels as tame and toothless as digs you’d see on The Simpsons, which presents an interesting parallel. For instance, in the episode “The Day the Violence Died,” Roger Meyers Sr., the Walt Disney figure (or, in the film’s parlance, an alternate universe dupe of Walt Disney) is credited with a short film, “Nazi Supermen Are Our Superiors.” Today, the Simpsons writers, now employed by Disney, will only go as far as jabbing Disney for being so big and so strong, the sort of placating dance a jester afraid for his own life in a nobleman’s court would perform for his lord. Reynolds plays with the notion of tweaking his Disney overlords, but he doesn’t have the courage or conviction to jab with any force at any legitimate target on Disney’s back; the closest is that Disney will force Jackman to play Wolverine until he’s 90. The more stinging version would be telling Jackman that his digital zombie will play Wolverine long after he’s dead, given what we’ve seen with Peter Cushing in Rogue One and Ian Holm in Alien: Romulus. 

But it had the Age of Apocalypse Wolverine with one hand, so it’s cool.

Given your recent post on Wuthering Heights adaptation from Emerald Fennell, were you not a fan of promising young woman? I ask because I had…very mixed feelings about it.

Also, this is a super long shot but have you seen it heard of Sweet/Vicious? It was a mid-2010s show that covered very similar ground but worked for me a lot more but I fully admit I haven’t seen it since it aired so can’t be sure how it’s aged.

I had very mixed feelings as well. I didn't outright hate it, which I did Saltburn, and I actually didn't mind the ending of it, even though I agreed with a lot of the criticism that the marketing campaign was really misleading.

My big issues with it were namely that Nina - who's supposedly the heart of the film and Cassandra's sole motivation in her plotting - is a complete non-entity. She's haunting the narrative, but how can she when we have no idea who she is as a character? I think this is actually reflective of a broader trend in faux-feminist cinema like this that robs victims of voices and uses them instead as a plot device to service the plucky, messy Not-Like-Other-Girls Protagonist (Alien: Romulus just did this too, but I could list like, a hundred movies that do the same).

The other issue I had with it is that she reserved her crueller punishments for women who were complicit in what happened to Nina, which - - mmm, look. I actually would've probably found that interesting if I thought Emerald meant it as commentary about the way some women would rather go after other women who are complicit in upholding the patriarchal structures that protect abusive men, instead of attacking the patriarchal structures themselves, but I.....don't think that's what she was doing at all lol. I think she was expecting a lot of those to be 'fuck yeah' moments of Cassandra holding women to account, but what it really came across as, to me at least, was just a further entrenchment of internalised misogyny and an implicit statement that we should hold women higher to account than we do the systems that repress and abuse them.

So yeah, I thought it was a lot more superficial than it thought it was and I liked it best when it was leaning more into its own pulpiness rather than trying to deliver a commentary it clearly hadn't thought all that deeply about. I thought Carey Mulligan gave a good performance though, and I do think Emerald's got an interesting visual eye. I feel like she'd make fun, stylish rom-coms actually, and kinda wish she'd do that instead of trying to have opinions on systemic issues like patriarchy or class (which she tried to explore in Saltburn), because I don't think she did a good job of either.

And I haven't seen Sweet/Vicious! It's actually been on my list for a while though! I wanted to watch it when it came out, but just never got around to it. Interesting to hear it explores similar territory though. I'll bump it up my list :-)

OCs: Oh, so many! At this point, I think I've written for more TTS OCs than canon characters. Some favorites (most of which I think you may have met already, but here they are anyway):

Captain Williams, Cap's predecessor for Captain of the Guard. No one's ever put a label on it, but he's basically the third member of Cap and Cass's little family: a mentor/father-figure for the former and a grandfather for the latter. He has a great sense of humor and cares so much about them both; I love writing for him.

Romulus, Cap's horse for most of Cass's childhood who is arguably more preoccupied with the honor and prestige of being the Captain's Horse than is good for him. Also Atlanta, the little palomino mare with a mischievious streak who becomes Cass's mount once Cap deems her old (and tall) enough for a horse. I have a bunch of horse OCs, but these two are my faves.

Peder, Cass's favorite of the stableboys and essentially a big brother to her. Despite being the definition of a gentle giant, he once had aspirations to join the Guard, however a fever robbed him of most of his hearing, so he had to settle for stableboy (which frankly, he prefers, the main draw of guardsmanship for him being the fine horses). Next to Captain Williams and her dad, he's the person Cass is closest too.

I have one more who only lives in my drafts at the moment: Mariah, the elder daughter of the merchant Cap's father was stablemaster for and whom he was close to growing up. She's dutiful but also harbors a lively spirit; Cass would have liked her.

....whoops, I think I got *a little* carried away....😅

Favorite outfit: Cass's final one, at the end of the series, the green adventurer outfit. I like it best for several reasons, not the least of which is how *this* is the outfit she wears when she is finally, truly herself and no one else: not the miserable lady-in-waiting, not the frustrated aspiring guard, not the disenchanted servant with her arm and sense of self withering away under concealing armor. This is Cassandra, and this outfit really, to me, shows that. Plus i really like the green/gray/black color scheme for her, as well as the cape!

OTP: New Dream! Rapunzel and Eugene are easily one of my favorite Disney couples; they love each other so much and show it in so many little ways that give me the warm fuzzies. 😍

HI I want to talk about my fairy characters so if ur interested in that then !! here's ur chance

ok so basically aurelius is one of the three leaders of the fae court of iridescence :)) the courts (made by erin bc i cant spell her url) are more like small villages or kingdoms i think but like. ask her more about how that works bc i dont wanna say anything wrong . but !!

the court of iridescence is based on bugs and pretty fish and like . anything that looks outwardly pretty or has bright colors like poison frogs or something. the court is supposed to be like a fairytale kingdom with mushroom houses and big festivals all the time n stuff.

aurelius is like the party planner of the royal three because they love to host big dances and town festivals for literally whatever they decide is a holiday now. the towns people all participate bc they're a big community that all works together and they hang out. they have big communal gardens that almost everyone contributes to with big fruit trees and bushes and its just sooo pretty. aurelius is genderfluid and goes by any pronouns btw and yes they do smell like gummy bears <3

cassandra is another one of the royalty there and she's based on the palos verdes blue butterfly :) shes a little smaller than the others but she lives in a big castle thats all pretty and light blue n stuff. i dont have much for her yet but if people need to talk they come to her. she's graceful and kind and a good healer and fighter :) her wings are very small bc the butterfly irl is really small and I wanted to get that small cute vibe yk. technically all the royals fall under the trans umbrella and Cassandra is nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns. they're all gender neutral when they're born. or would it be intersex bc it's like a choose ur gender thing in a character creator. like they can just choose body parts too bc. they're fairies come on. but as they develop they figure out more about how they want to present so. same goes for regular court members they aren't confined to human biology

the last of the three royals is romulus and hes based on the lily moth. he's super tall and his wings are big and strong enough to let him fly hes so cool. he's more quiet but hes very polite and sweet. he has a sweet tooth and he can be found at night wandering the town with a lantern doing his best to keep everyone safe :) there's no real dangers to them but he also likes just watching over his people. romulus uses he/they pronouns also :)

there's also maximilian who's aurelius's partner and he's so sweet. he's tall and quiet but not as tall as romulus . him and another minor character both play strong instruments with maximilian playing cello and Cyril (the other character) playing viola :) him and aurelius are soo in love its insane they're soo sappy and romantic all the time. they call each other by their full first names a lot bc they want to draw out their conversations with each other. they're soo sweeties ugh I love them
