Red or Black
Pairing: Azriel × Cassian's sister!Reader
Summary: Cassian insists on helping his sister out when she needs to choose an outfit for a date.
Warnings: brief allusions to sex
Word count: 908
A/N: I was watching Friends, so of course this silly little blurb happened. If you're a fan of the show, you probably already know where this is going 👀
Tumblr media
You had a date with Azriel tonight, and you didn't know what to wear.
You two had been going out together for a few months now, and you were both smitten with each other. You were sure things would become more serious very soon. But for now, your time together consisted mainly of dates that usually resulted in spending the night with him. You would mostly cuddle until you fell asleep, but a few times, cuddles had led to discarded clothes, heavy sighs and pleasure like you had never felt before.
You wanted tonight to be one of those times, and you wanted to look alluring and sexy. You wanted to feel alluring and sexy.
But you couldn't decide which lacy slip to wear under your dress to surprise Azriel when he'd take it off, so you picked up both options and walked out of your room to ask the most fashionable person you knew for advice.
Mor was lounging on a couch in the living room and you smiled at your friend.
“I really need your opinion about something,” you said as a way of greeting.
She sat up straighter, her brows raising, but when you stepped through the doorway, you noticed your brother sprawled over the armchair. You quickly hid the slips behind your back.
“Hi, Cass.” You gave him an awkward smile. “I didn't know you were already home.”
He shrugged. “I came back earlier and I thought I'd wait for Rhys here.”
“Yeah, yeah, always talking about yourself, Cassian,” Mor chimed in, waving a hand in the air to dismiss him. She turned to you with a smile. “What do you need my opinion on?”
You glanced at your brother. He was looking at you expectantly, no idea of what you were struggling with.
You backed away a step. “Maybe you could come into my room and we can talk?”
She nodded, already rising from her seat, but Cassian leaned forward in his chair. “Oh, come on, Y/N. I'm your brother. You don't want my opinion?”
You clutched the undergarments behind your back with one hand while grabbing Mor's wrist with the other to drag her out of the room.
“Not really, no,” you replied quickly. “But thanks, Cass.”
“Y/N, you're my little sister. What can you possibly need that I can't help you with?”
Mor was snickering now, probably having seen what you were trying to hide by her new position at your side. You felt terribly awkward and embarrassed, but you knew Cassian wouldn't let it go easily and a part of you wanted to make him feel just as embarrassed.
“Alright, big brother,” you made sure your words were dripping with sarcasm, which made him frown.
You let go of Mor's hand and held up the two slips for him to see. One was red, with some intricate swirling patterns, but still the most revealing thing you had ever bought. The other one was black, much simpler and just as see-through as the first one.
“Which one of these should your little sister wear,” you went on, watching as his eyes went wide with shock, “so that your best friend would want to do her?”
Cassian looked away and leaned back in his chair, his face contorted into a scowl as he muttered, “The red one.”
You chuckled at his reaction, and while normally you would crack a joke and go up to him to kiss his cheek, right now was probably not the best moment. Especially because Mor reached out to study the lingerie you had displayed, and you waited patiently for her input on the matter.
“I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Cassian.” Her fingers brushed the thin fabric. “Actually, you have to tell me where you bought it. No one could resist this.”
You smiled as you looked down at the small piece of clothing. Red was your color, you knew that. It complimented your skin tone and your hair. But you were leaning more toward the black one, thinking that maybe Azriel would prefer it.
“You sure?” you questioned. “The red one?”
Mor nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, absolutely. Azriel won't be able to keep his hands off you. He—”
“Oh, yes, Mor. Please go on.”
You both turned to your brother, now glowering at you from his seat.
“I mean it, Mor. Go on,” he grumbled. “Tell us exactly what Azriel would do to my sister. Pretend I'm not here. Don't let my presence bother you, I'm begging you.”
Even as heat rose to your cheeks, you bit your lip to keep from smiling at his tone. He did have a point, though. While you might be comfortable talking about these things with Mor, and Cassian might imagine you and Azriel were past chaste kisses, you definitely didn't want to discuss what happened behind closed doors with him. He was still your big brother.
“Anyway, thanks guys.” You offered one last smile as you began to walk out. “I'm going to get ready now.”
When Azriel knocked on the front door an hour later, Mor and Cassian were still in the sitting room, Rhys now with them. Your friends wished you a nice evening, but your brother refused to even look in your direction and opted to glare at the wall with his arms crossed.
Luckily, Azriel didn't seem to notice or care as you took his hand and followed him outside.

𝐎𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐈
Jason Todd x dragon trainer!reader
Summary: after a portal mysteriously opened in your world, setting all of your dragons loose, you must find a way to take them all back home before it's too late and before you catch feelings for a certain cute guy in a red helmet
Warnings: none, slight mention of mythological creature abuse, Jason and reader begin to bond
Word count: 3.2k
A/N: second part to my first ever fic! I was happy so many of you enjoyed it, please let me know if you'd like a third part <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you walked around the cave, all you could do was admire the advanced technology surrounding you. You were craning your head up to get a better view of the animatronic T-Rex, a cup of tea in your hand. It was kindly offered to you by what you could only assume to be Batman’s butler, Alfred. The old man had kind eyes and also gave you a slice of pecan pie, which you really couldn’t refuse, especially after everyone in the room heard your stomach grumbling.
“So, tell me,” you started to say, swishing the amber liquid in your cup, “how can we find a way to get me and my dragons back home if we don’t know who opened the portal in the first place and where it was activated?”
Batman let out a contemplative hum, his back turned to you. He was sitting at the console typing away. “We need to check all of the security cameras in the city and also take a look at the air’s static and electromagnetic radiations that have possibly interfered with the electronic devices in Gotham”
The others were in the room as well, each one of them with their brows furrowed, having clearly switched to ‘professional’ mode, as you liked to call it.
With their domino masks and helmets gone, you could see how the three young men – Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin – starkly resembled Batman. You didn’t know why they decided to reveal their identities. Thinking it over, you realised they actually didn’t since you couldn’t recognise them and they hadn’t given you their real names. It probably figured that since you came from another universe altogether, you’d pose no threat to their identity.
Your gaze lingered on Red Hood’s face. He had a rugged yet defined look to him that didn’t let your eyes glance away. Be it the greenish eyes, the white streak on is hair or the scar on his neck, but you couldn’t look away. You must’ve been staring pretty intensely since he lowered his gaze onto yours, a slight blush creeping up his neck and covering his ears.
You quickly looked away, your own face heating up in embarrassment at being caught.
Jason cleared his throat, trying his best not to let a chuckle escape him at your flustered reaction.
Cass raised a brow at you two, tilting her head to the side curiously.
“We should go out and stop the dragons before they cause even more damage,” quipped Dick all of a sudden, quickly rising to his feet with newfound energy.
You clasped your hands together, nodding in agreement.
“Yes! We should-”
Roarrr
Your brows furrowed at the noise. It clearly came from the batcave, but that wasn’t a voice you recognised at all.
You looked at the others with a puzzled expression. They all seemed rather calm and even amused by the sound.
“This way, Goliath, please, use your legs for once in your life-”
You turned to where Robin’s voice came and your expression lit up upon seeing the cutest and fluffiest red dragon just mere meters from you.
“Aww who’s this now?” you asked as you approached the creature.
Robin pushed the dragon towards you to no avail and you couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene.
“He’s- Goliath-” he explained between pushes, clearly out of breath.
The dragon eyed you warily.
You smiled softly at him, extending a hand for him to sniff, “He can probably smell the other dragons on me,” you explained as you saw his ears perk up upon smelling your skin.
He gave you a look of approval and you began stroking his red fur. It was far softer than you had anticipated and it had a weird feeling to it. You pulled your hand back, examining it.
You grimaced as you saw your entire hand covered in a shiny, slippery substance.
“Why is he covered in oil?”
Robin gave you a pleading look for half a second, before regaining his usual stoic composure.
“He’s been itching a lot for the past few weeks and we figured that-…uhm…the best way to treat him was to put an ointment on his body,” he explained, your wild out gaze on his making him freak out internally that he somehow messed up.
“Poor Goliath,” you cooed at the dragon, scratching his chin. You were grateful that you couldn’t bring Obsidian in the cave with you or he would have thrown a jealous fit. You continued your ministrations as you gave him a once over. His skin was reddened because of the itch and the ointment and he continued to scratch his ears.
“I think he may have a skin infection,” you diagnosed, cleaning your hands with a tissue Robin gave you. “If I were at the sanctuary, I would make him a sage compress and given him a two-week treatment.”
You sighed in contemplation, wondering what to do.
Robin came over to you, a map in his hands, “Gotham’s botanical park is a few blocks away from here. Nobody’s there during the night so maybe we could break in and get the ingredients you need.”
You raised your brows at him, amused by the fact that a vigilante would actually commit a break in and theft.
Sounds of agreement followed his proposition and you could only nod along.
“We can drop by and get the ingredients while we search for the other dragons,” suggested Nightwing, looking over at you. You nodded again.
“Great then,” he said, clapping his hands once, “We need to separate so we can cover more ground,”
Immediately hands flew up and shouts were exchanged about who was going to team up with who.
“I wanna go with the bat!” snickered Spoiler, “I can’t wait to see him try to catch a dragon”
Batman still had his back turned, but was definitely listening to the conversation because his shoulders stiffened.
“No, I must go with Batman, I’m Robin after all-”
“You wouldn’t even tease him like I would!”
The bickering stopped as everyone’s attention snapped onto Orphan, who was signing something.
“What did she say?” you asked, not being able to understand her and honestly just having learned a few signs for one of your deaf dragons, nothing more.
Nighwing beamed, “She said that you and Hood over here should team up and search for both the dragons and the herbs together”
Oh.
You and Red Hood both looked at each other and you suddenly registered what was bound to happen.
You and this incredibly attractive stranger on Obsidian’s back.
Oh fuck.
You laughed nervously and he seemed to mimic you.
“Uhm, alright then,” you squeaked out, feeling everyone’s eyes on you, even Batman’s.
“Off you go, then, shoo,” Nightwing escorted you to the exit of the batcave, earning more than a few grumbled cusses from Red Hood – or should you just call him Hood?
You hardly managed to choke out a “goodbye” before the door closed centimetres from your face.
“What a dickhead,” said the vigilante next to you, this time with only his domino mask on, “I apologise on his behalf- he doesn’t know when to shut up,” he says with an irritated groan.
You chuckle at that, reassuring him. As you approached your dragon, you glanced up at him once more, taking in how his sharp features contrasted greatly with the soft curls of his black hair.
The moonlight gave him a sort of vampiresque look and you couldn’t help but notice how his eyes seemed to…glow? It seemed as if his blueish-greenish eyes did a complete 180 and became this neon green colour.
You narrowed your eyes at that, continuing to walk.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Jason side eyed you the entire walk back to Obsidian.
His mind wandered as he tried to come up with possible explanations about this whole situation. Who were you and where did you even come from. He wasn’t buying the whole “Oh, I come from Earth!” thing and neither were his brothers. Maybe there was a possibility that you truly came from a parallel universe were apparently dragons existed, but then why hadn’t they had at least one encounter with these anomalies before?
He thought back to Superman and Krypton. Although it probably wasn’t the exactly same thing, he guessed that if Bruce was allies and friends (although he’d never admit it) with Clark, then anything was possible.
He also found you really pretty and not alien-looking at all, but that’s beside the point.
His eyes wandered back to the lasso on your utility belt. He had sworn that when it was up in the air, swinging above your head in loose circles it looked exactly like Wonder Woman’s.
He had to ask you about that later. For now, he could only grief his bike even further as he took a good look at the dragon in front of him that looked like it wanted to tear his head off.
He could only reciprocate the glare as your back was turned to both of them, fishing out your list of ingredients that were needed to make the compress.
“Ok, so” you started, oblivious to the death stare contest between Jason and the dragon, “are you ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience?”
Jason looked at your excited expression and gulped nervously when your dragon huffed begrudgingly, clearly not wanting to let him on.
“You sure about me getting on this thing?” Those were fighting words for the dragon, who shrieked offended at being called a thing.
You tried to not worsen things further, putting your palm out in dissuasion, smiling nervously.
“He can understand your every word, Hood” you explained, your nervous and apologetic tone prompting Jason to see in the corner of his eye how the black dragon huffed in agreement, the smoke coming out of his nostrils making him wince.
He rubbed his neck sheepishly, “Sorry, I didn’t realize”
You waved him off with a smile, “It’s all good. Have you ever ridden a horse before?”
Jason took a second to think to himself – have I ever rode a horse before? - . He didn’t know if he had no memory of doing so from all the concussions he’s had this year alone or because your gaze was making him slightly nervous. Yeah, it was probably the latter.
“No,” was all he manged to blurt out, really not wanting to get on your dragon’s back.
“Good, because it’s nothing like it!” You laughed out, your shoulders relaxing, “I feared you would’ve been one of those people who tried to get Obi moving by slightly kicking on his stomach because trust me – it would’ve ended badly”
Jason didn’t find humour in that, but chuckled along nevertheless.
He watched as you hopped on your dragon’s back with elegance and precision, not a single movement wasted. He also took notice at how Obsidian helped you up by lowering one of his wings. He put his helmet on, missing your disappointed look at his now covered face.
“Come on, take my hand and put your right foot on Obi’s wing bone” you instructed as you pointed at where your foot previously was, your other hand outstretched for him to take.
Jason looked at your hand, then at your face. He looked at your hand again.
You couldn’t possibly lift half his body weight up with a single hand, right? A hand that was significant smaller than this, nonetheless.
“Are you sure about this? I’m a big guy, I don’t want to – Oh shit!”
He didn’t finish his sentence as you bent down to grab his hand and Obsidian nudged his foot on his wing, only to lift his whole body up as if he weighted nothing and fling him up in the hair. Jason screamed as he tried not to fly right into the bush behind you. He thankfully didn’t as your tight grip on his hand prevented him from becoming the next rocket man of Gotham.
He landed right behind you, his whole body shaking as he tried to regain his composure.
“Don’t worry about me, Obi does all the heavy lifting,” you said as you laughed so much that tears started to form at the corners of your eyes. Your dragon seemed to mimic your laugh with huffs and puffs as he moved his head up and down with closed eyes.
Behind you, sitting with an unamused expression and arms crossed over his chest, Jason had a half-mind to just ditch the two of you and walk to the botanic garden alone.
Your laugh quieted down and you looked back at him, this time with a genuinely apologetic look in your eyes.
He lifted the corners of his mouth ever so slightly, thankful for his helmet covering his face.
At least someone had the guts to mess with him like that.
“Hold on tightly. I’m warning you, I’ll try to go as slowly as I can but Obi doesn’t like men that much and will actively try to throw you off, so it’s better if you hold onto me, that way he won’t do it,” you told Jason and he glanced down at the dragon, who was already looking at him with an already mischievous look in his eyes. Fucking hell. He hoped to survive his first ever dragon ride.
Jason lifted his hands that were previously on his lap and carefully held your waist, only his gloves and a few layers of clothes separating your skin from his. He swore he could feel the warmth radiating from your body.
“I said tighter, Hood,” you told him in a firmer tone, to which he responded by getting closer to you and pressing his chest to your back, his arms now circling your waist tightly.
He could feel your heartbeat picking up significantly and smiled to himself.
“O-okay, that’s better,” you managed to squeak out before tapping your dragon’s neck once.
The sudden movement made him spread out his wings and soon enough you found yourselves up in the air, taking in Gotham’s skyline from above.
Jason couldn’t help but bring you in even tighter, trying his best not to hinder your mobility as you tapped Obsidian’s ears to signal when to turn, opting your practiced tapping signs rather than having to shout out directions, now that you had someone else riding with you.
“Is this the place?” you turned around towards Jason as you got closer to a sign that had “Gotham Public Botanic Garden” written in dark green letters.
Jason nodded, not being able to utter a sound as the proximity between you two made him nervous. He was accustomed to being held from behind when he rescued civilians and tried to take them someplace safe, but to hold on to someone and trust them with his life as he travelled on a dragon’s back? Yeah, that was a new one for him.
You patted Obsidian’s back twice, prompting him to land near the entrance. Thankfully no one was in sight as Jason figured you would’ve gotten more than a few odd looks.
He was the first one to hop off the dragon’s back, already missing your body’s warmth as he tried to hold on to whatever remains where left of it on his leather jacket.
You then slid down, petting Obsidian’s snout with tenderness and placing your lips near his spiked cheek, “Thanks, Obi. Now let’s go, we need to find quite a few things to help Goliath out.”
As you made your way through the various greenhouses, Jason walked by your side and Obsidian on the opposite one, protecting you from harm.
If he could say one good thing about that damn dragon, Jason would praise him for his protectiveness over you. He noticed how, from the very start, he always kept his eyes trained on you, not missing a single sign of discomfort and immediately taking action when he felt like you were being threatened.
Other than that, he was a complete jerk.
You continued to walk in peaceful silence that was only interrupted by you telling him you found another herb needed for the compress.
When you had almost gone through the whole list, Jason spoke up.
“How do you know so much about dragons?” he asked, curiosity lacing his voice.
You smiled fondly at nothing in particular, as if reminiscing some good memories.
“You see,” you continued walking, your gaze never leaving the herbs in your hand, “I was absolutely distraught at how the majority of the people where I come from treat animals that aren’t your usual house pets, especially dragons. They would more often than not abuse, torture and kill them just for fun or to boast to others how they managed to kill a dragon-” you cut yourself off with a shaky breath, anger evident in your voice and your eyes.
Obsidian nudged your arm with a sad face, letting out a low grumble and you smiled weakly at him. Jason wanted to put an arm around your shoulders and pull you close to him, but he restrained himself.
“I found Obi one morning while working out in the park,” you continued, “and he was so cute, sitting there in that box that he accidentally had set on fire, so chubby and round with those big amber eyes- gosh he was adorable,” you chuckled, a single tear managing to escape and running down your cheek. Jason’s hand twitched by his side.
“I took him home. My parents were seething with rage at the thought of me taking care of a dragon, an animal everybody in our community despised. So I left home and went to live with my best friend, Katie, in a house near our hometown’s lake and from there, piece by piece, we learned more about dragons as we rescued them.”
Jason stayed silent, your words making him see you in a new light. He admired your strength and perseverance, your will to not give up and go against your parents to do what you knew was right. He saw a lot of himself in you and he liked that.
“That’s incredible…wait, I never got your name” he paused embarrassed, having completely forgotten to ask your name at the batcave.
You smiled softly, not a hint of offence in your kind eyes, “No biggie,” you shrugged light-heartedly, “it’s Y/N”.
“That’s a pretty name.”
“Thanks”
You stayed like that for a while, content in the silent agreement you both had settled upon. Jason liked you. you weren’t over the top like his siblings were, but also not a complete recluse who disdained human contact, as he often found himself to be like. You were…you. And he liked that.
Soon enough, you had gathered all your ingredients and were getting back onto Obsidian’s back. This time the dragon was much gentler with Jason. He probably felt the shift in demeanour you and him had during the walk and eased up on him. Jason was grateful for not getting hauled up like a ragdoll a second time.
As you were back up into the air, a sense of tranquillity engulfed the both of you before a faraway shriek reminded Jason that you still had another dozen or so more dragons to find and bring back to the manor.
Exchanging a look with you, he observed you directing Obsidian to where you had heard the sound, before a blaze interrupter your path and a pair of glowing eyes were set on the three of you.
Jason’s blood ran cold and his mouth moved faster than his thoughts could as he pointed a gun at the fire-spitting dragon.
“That’s the fucker that melted my bike!”

Damian x older batsis. Just something fluffy about batsis being the older sister of the batfam, mainly focusing on Damian tho- she dotes on him and is kinda like his mother figure in a way. And when he gets into arguments with Bruce, she's the one he runs away to, to crash on her couch. She's also incredibly tech savy and inventive, so she often asks Damian to test her gagetry prototype's since everyone else is scared of them (they sometimes malfunction). She's more like Alfred's apprentice than Bruce’s. She prefers working "behind the screens." Also, her and Damian most definitely took the batmobile and batwing out on joy rides without permission🤭
Tumblr media
“That’s bullshit, dad.” You scoffed, leaning back against the cold stony wall in the cave. Bruce sighed, pinching his nose between his index and thumb. He was used to this, he had been getting this lecture since he adopted Dick when you were 12. You’d always been motherly to your little brothers — a term Jason often huffed about, reminding you that he’s no longer a fifteen year old boy.
You became all of their protectors but it was different with Damian, something deeper, more connected. Dick assumed that it was because you and Damian were blood related but Alfred knew better.
“You can’t treat the kid like shit and expect him to be okay,” you added.
Right now Damian was in your car, an overnight bag packed for his stay at your house. Bruce wanted to smile at the fact that you drove all the way from Blüdhaven to get Damian and yell at him.
“You’re right,” Bruce says, making you pause and point a finger at him comically opening and closing your mouth as you think. Stunned into silence that he hadn’t tried arguing with you, Jason snickered in the background before Cass knocked him to the ground beating him again.
“He should spend the weekend with you, no suit, no cape. Just as a normal boy,” Bruce stands up, “I can’t give him that, his mother can’t, that’s why he comes to you.”
You merely nodded in response as Bruce patted your shoulder before turning back to his computer, you walked past Alfred who looked equally as stunned as you before chuckling and handing you a tub of freshly baked cookies.
“Thanks,” you mumbled, still somewhat shocked as you make your way up the stairs to the exit of the cave. You’re back outside the manor and sitting in the drivers seat of your car — your bike at home because you knew you’d be bringing damian to your place.
“okay, all set?” you ask, looking at the small boy in your front passenger seat. a bunch of his art supplies stuffed into you back seat and alfred the cat perched on top of it all, you snort amused by the sight, exiting the driveway when he nods.
the drive to your place is quiet, damian dozing off from time to time. “can i live with you?” he asks out of nowhere, green eyes focused on your reaction, you stop at the red light, sighing softly.
“i’m sorry dames, but we’ve talked about this.” you mutter, shooting him an apologetic look, “i’ll talk to bruce about it again.” you offer, he nods.
“i’d like that,” he mutters, arms crossed. you smile, “where would you go to school?” you ask, entertaining the idea. “we’ve got quite a few good ones in bludhaven.”
“which did you go to?” he asks.
“i went to a gotham school, but i did uni in bludhaven. somehow gotham and bludhaven have two of the best universities. no idea why that happened when they’re both shit holes.”
“agreed.”
the rest of the drive is quiet, your brother falling asleep for the rest of it. you chuckle as you park outside your flat, you and dick lived in the same building. it was a lot more convenient, and it eased his worry for you. you being a lawyer, with your little side hobby of building impressive gadgets.
dick was usually the first person to get ahold of the tech you made, and damian would be next in line. you’re careful as to not stir damian, though you know he’s probably already half awake as you lift him out of the car, carrying him into the elevator after you toss his duffel bag over your shoulder. alfred the cat following after the two of you.
he likes this, he thinks. being coddled like child — he is a child, you’re always quick to remind him. you lay him down on the spare bed in your extra room where your other siblings crash. he kicks his shoes off sleepily as you set the bag down in the corner of the room, alfred the cat jumping up onto the bed to sleep on top of damian.
you smile at the sight as you close his bedroom door.
your little brother deserves to be a kid, you’ll make sure his life isn’t spent like yours.

Batfam Goes to See Hamilton (Thanks to Jason Todd)
note: based on the fact that i saw hamilton on broadway today!
So, Jason somehow managed to drag the entire Batfam to see Hamilton—because yes, Red Hood is a theater nerd, and apparently, none of them can say no when he’s excited about something. Here’s how it went down:
Jason Todd: Living for it. Jason knows all the lyrics by heart and is practically singing under his breath the whole time. He’s vibing hard to every song, mouthing along to My Shot like he’s in the show. You’d think he was a one-man standing ovation from the way he keeps reacting to every scene. He also goes full nerd mode explaining all the historical inaccuracies and why they don’t matter because the storytelling is incredible.
Bruce Wayne: Very confused, but engaged. He’s trying to get into it, but you can see the gears turning in his head, over-analyzing every political angle and historical context. He does appreciate the themes of legacy, sacrifice, and honor (classic Bruce). He might’ve even shed a few tears during It’s Quiet Uptown, but he’ll deny it forever.
Dick Grayson: Having the time of his life. Dick is the one clapping the loudest, laughing at all the jokes, and crying during the emotional songs. He’s completely caught up in the performance, and by the time The Room Where It Happens comes on, he’s all but bouncing in his seat. He also loves the choreography and probably made a mental note to learn the dances later.
Tim Drake: Secretly loving it but pretending to be indifferent. Tim walked in like he was only going to humor Jason, but by the end of Act 1, he’s fully invested. He tries to keep a straight face, but you can catch him mouthing the words to Wait for It and tapping his fingers during The Room Where It Happens. He’s obsessed with the way the show mixes history, strategy, and storytelling, and he’s definitely taking mental notes on things to google later for a deep dive into historical rabbit holes. After the show, he’s already re-watching bootleg clips on YouTube, but if anyone asks, he’ll just say, “It was fine.”
Damian Wayne: Not impressed. Damian doesn’t see the appeal. He’s sitting there with his arms crossed, giving side-eye to everyone clapping or singing along. “I could’ve done better,” he mutters after Guns and Ships, but you catch him tapping his foot during Yorktown, and he seems unusually focused during the duel scenes. Maybe it’s growing on him… but he’ll never admit it.
Stephanie Brown: Living her best life. Steph is totally into it. She’s laughing at all the jokes, especially King George’s bits, and probably even got Bruce to crack a smile. She’s belting out Helpless and Satisfied in her seat and whispering excitedly to Cass about how they should come back for the next performance. She’s already planning a Hamilton-themed karaoke night after.
Cassandra Cain: Loving the energy. Cass isn’t much for words, but she’s totally feeling the performance. The choreography and intensity of the actors keep her fully engaged. She’s watching every movement with laser focus, and you can see her appreciating the way the actors tell the story through body language. She’s not super vocal about it, but afterward, she signs to Jason that it was “powerful.”
Duke Thomas: Totally into the music. Duke is all about the beats and rhythm. He’s vibing in his seat, really feeling the music and lyrics. You catch him nodding along during Wait for It and The Room Where It Happens, and he’s probably already added the soundtrack to his Spotify. He’s impressed by the storytelling through music and keeps shooting Jason looks like, “Okay, you were right—this is awesome.”
At the end of the show, Jason’s the first to stand up, clapping like his life depends on it, and despite the varied reactions, everyone else follows suit.

“I think I could eat this everyday, every meal, for a month.”
Sam’s gushing over the fulfilled requests for dinner earned a chuckle from the replacement team that had brought it. Stephanie, Cass and Jason had all been sent home to get their own dinner, being ones with their masks covering their mouths. And now Dick and Duke were nibbling on the second half of their own dinner while three of the teenagers crammed the food into their mouths at a rate that made Duke concerned.
“Just don’t choke on it, okay? We’re not going to take it away if you’re worried about that,” Duke commented, still marveling at how much food was disappearing into Danielle’s mouth. He was a little envious of everyone else getting to eat dinner at the manor, but this made up for it just a bit.
“I’ll let our chef know you liked it,” Dick just laughed, not minding the poor table manners at all. These kids probably hadn’t had a good meal since before they’d arrived in Gotham, so he couldn’t blame them for gorging on the warm meal. Plus it was Alfred’s cooking. Even if they weren’t half starved he’d bet they still would have devoured the food.
“I can’t decide if I’m just hungry or if this really is the most amazing steak I’ve ever tasted,” Tucker almost whispered. The only reason he had slowed down was because he was already on his third steak.
“Probably a bit of both,” Dick laughed again, enjoying his own steak of the same preparation. He had been worried about Jazz when he’d gotten back, but she seemed to be doing better now. She’d seemed even more sullen than before when they’d returned, still sitting on the stool near Danny and curling her fingers around his hand. Dick had watched her for a bit while they had unloaded the food and found that the heart monitor was probably not making her feel comforted at all. Danny’s heart rate was slow, and irregular, ranging 40 beats per minute on average and sometimes having gaps in between. It was the gaps that had clued Dick in to it being the problem, seeing Jazz snap her attention to the screen when there had been a delay, and flinching when the next beat sounded. It had been enough motivation for Dick to switch the monitor to a silent mode, adding in parameters for when to trigger an alarm when he did so. Leslie had assured them that the half frozen state of Danny’s body was what was causing the lower heart rate, and that they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it until they broke Danny out of his own self caused stasis. So Dick felt it was unnecessary to torture his sister with the sound of the monitor.
Luckily once Duke coaxed her over to eat, the taste of the food had been enough distraction for Jazz to sink her teeth into the fried chicken with little care for the fork. She’d made it through probably an entire fried chicken on her own by now, and also had plenty of the squash and other vegetables. It was pleasing to see, though Danielle made Dick almost think his best friend Wally was there, and only eating slowly to be polite. She definitely had some sort of altered metabolism, following true to her request and finishing off five chickens and an entire butternut squash on her own. When Duke had asked if she liked the food she’d just given a thumbs up and grinned with her teeth sunk into a drumstick.
“...We’ve made some progress on your predicaments,” Dick eventually started once they had given the kids enough time to eat a good amount. It caused all of them to slow, and Danielle paused for a moment to burp into her hand before quietly looking towards him. “Are you guys familiar with the concept of alternate realities? Sometimes referred to as dimensions, realms, multiverse…”
It wasn’t a completely foreign concept to the kids, but not one that seemed too familiar either based on their only semi confused reactions to the question. Tucker took a moment to clear his mouth before answering for them. “Yeah, we’ve heard of them. They’re all over in science fiction stories and stuff.”
That response made Dick’s subconscious pause. It wasn’t an outright lie, but something about it seemed off. Deliberately vague. “Well, you’re all in one now,” Dick continued without pausing outwardly.
Sam almost spit her drink as Tucker and Jazz both exclaimed, “WHAT?!”
“You mean the stupid morons shot us to a different realm?” Danielle burst, obviously irritated.
“Does that mean the- … Is our dimension still there?” Jazz asked, half rising to her feet and looking from Danielle to Dick.
“Calm down, it’ll be alright,” Dick called evenly, making a calming motion with his hands. “Just displacing a few people from their original dimension usually isn’t enough to cause it to disappear. I’m sure your original home is fine. But that’s also why you’ve been having such difficulty here. You didn’t exist in our dimension until a few months ago.”
It was starting to click in their heads, Dick and Duke watching as the connections were being made as each teen’s expression became one of realization.
“Your debit card,” Sam noted, pointing to Jazz.
“When I tried to call mom and dad on the payphone,” Jazz responded.
“And the fact that no one seems to have even heard of ectoplasm as an actual substance,” Tucker chimed in. “We just thought everyone in the big city were a bunch of weirdos,” he added, looking back to Dick and Duke. “Amity has always been a hotspot, we knew that. But all the people in costumes and codenames we’d never heard of? We just thought it was some fad big city people did that never made it to our town.”
“Not like we didn’t have other things to worry about too,” Sam added, folding her arms for a moment before glancing back to her plate and deciding the butternut squash was more enticing than being closed off.
“That makes sense. It’s also why you never would have heard of Batman or the rest of us,” Dick agreed. Being more worried about keeping themselves and their 5th team member alive would definitely not leave them with a lot of free time to even consider they were in another dimension. “In light of this we’re not relying too much on what we need being pre existent. So Batman is currently working on an antitoxin based on breaking down plant based matter - our botanical contact confirmed blood blossoms don’t exist here - and figuring out a way we can collect ectoplasm from the ambient instead of relying on something like Lazarus water. While he works we’ll keep providing you five with what you need. Unfortunately you’ll have to stay here to keep out of trouble. I don’t know about your realm, but ours has a bunch of laws about citizenship, and being in other countries without the proper verification and paperwork. Considering you’re essentially without citizenship to any country, we don’t want you guys getting taken in by the police. Members of our team will keep in touch, and give you guys updates as they come. Make sense?”
It was unexpectedly more than they were used to getting. Even back in Amity people still had mixed feelings about ghosts, so they had to rely only on themselves for any help. While avoiding dealing with any local self proclaimed heroes that liked to hunt ghosts too. But it seemed that these people, Batman and those who worked for him, didn’t really care that two of their team were half ghosts. They didn’t seem to know anything about ghosts, yet were still willing to help.
“So, you’re saying if we behave ourselves and stay under house arrest, you’ll still help Danny?” Danielle asked when no one else made a comment before her.
“Yes. Our original agreement still stands, regardless of if you’re from this dimension or not,” Dick confirmed. It was less about them being illegal residents and more about them possibly still being targeted though. Lazarus water wasn’t something the common criminals had access to, so Dick and the others had a hard time believing whoever had been slighted would give up after one assassination attempt. They had to keep their new charges safe by keeping them off the radar. And the best way they could think of keeping them out of trouble they had no idea they were even walking into was to keep them isolated from the potential threats. At least until they could get Danny healthy again, and teach them all who and what to avoid.
“.... Alright,” Jazz nodded this time. She was still the one who was the most wary of the four, but Dick was already seeing her starting to become more willing to believe them. He wouldn’t say she trusted them yet, but she was at least open to listen. “Thank you… for the update.”
—----
Back at the Wayne manor Cass and Barbara were watching the video feed from Dick and Duke’s masks while Bruce was in a separate part of the cave working on the anti toxin. When Cass tilted her head after Tucker’s answer about having heard of alternate dimensions, Barbara glanced at her. “Is he lying?” she asked, that being the first thing she could think of that would get Cass to react.
Cass remained quiet for a moment, watching their reactions to being informed they were in a different dimension, and blinking at Jazz’s slip up. “Not quite. They’re hiding something, but… It’s protective. They don’t want us to know because they think they’re keeping something safe,” she answered.
“Something other than Danny?” Barbara asked, having caught the two extra bits of information. Danielle had mentioned another group of people, and Jazz had started to speak of something other than their original realm. Obviously the people Danielle called morons weren’t who they were being protective of, so it had to be the thing that Jazz was wondering if it was still there. And Jason had also already given them the comment that Jazz seemed wary of the government. So were the morons part of the government in their dimension? Or a different party? It was pretty safe to follow the idea that the morons could potentially be the ones who they had been fighting before being sent to Gotham, and therefore the ones who had hurt Danny. And it was a fair reason not to trust government officials if all three of those facts were connected.
Cass nodded to Barbara’s question, confirming that they were on the same train of thought. “They are not used to being given help from outsiders,” she added once Dick had given the full report.
“That tracks with how they reacted to the rescue mission,” Barbara smirked slightly. It was unfortunately something they saw often enough in the kids in Gotham, so it wasn’t too hard to work with their lack of trust.
“What else is new?” Jason’s question came as he looped his arms over the back of the chair Cass was in, damp hair betraying he’d borrowed one of the showers in the manor.
“Jason? I thought you’d headed home already,” Barbara greeted. “Nothing crazy. Cass says it looks like they’re protecting something else other than Danny, but we haven’t gotten enough hints to start guessing what.”
“Hmm,” Jason hummed, watching the video feed of their wards getting settled for the night. It was all spare sleeping mats and quilts, but it hopefully was better than what they had been dealing with so far. “Tim and Steph are working on who had them targeted? Will there be a follow up attack?”
“It’s highly likely,” Barbara admitted with a small grimace. “Currently the League of Assassins are the only ones who have access to Lazarus water. It looks like the Phantom kids intercepted an exchange to another contact to get their canister. Judging by the amount and destination it seemed to have been en route to a research facility. Depending on how far along the transaction was, and how close of ties the League has with the buyer, I can see them targeting the one that interfered.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” Jason sighed. “I’ll head back there for the morning rotation, I don’t think the girl Dani will behave very long. You think she’s the one called Phantom?”
It was only mildly surprising to see that Jason had taken an interest in this task. The kids had been in an area close to where he usually patrolled after all. Though Barbara grew a little sad when he asked if she thought Danielle was the one they had all adopted the name Phantom from. As Cass shook her head and pointed to Danny, Barbara added her agreement. “I think the boy is the original Phantom. They follow Jazz instead of her, and… she is his clone.”
Jason’s eyes widened at the revelation, having not been at the manor when the DNA samples had been on screen. When Barbara pulled them back up to show him how they knew, Jason huffed in bitter amusement. “Unexpected sibling indeed,” he mused, remembering what Jazz had said. “They must get along well enough since she doesn’t seem to mind being named after him too.”
“Indeed. They all seem close,” Barbara agreed, gaining a smile as Dick’s check in on the room of sleeping teens revealed Danielle had already moved in her sleep enough to be laying across Jazz’s waist with her feet propped up on Tucker.
Now that there wasn’t much to watch for that Dick and Duke couldn’t take care of, Cass turned the chair to face away from the computer. “Sleep. Be ready for tomorrow,” she announced, looking at both of them before getting up.
“Yeah that sounds like a good idea,” Jason agreed, tucking his hands in his pockets. “I’ll take a nap then cover the early morning patrol before coming back to pick up breakfast. If Tim is on morning duty for the kids too, make sure he also gets some sleep. I don’t want to deal with his nasty drink getting spilled in the car.”
Barbara could only snort at the comment, raising a hand to wave. “As if any of us can ever get that kid to sleep even without a case,” she chuckled. “I’ll try, but no promises.”
“Fair enough,” Jason huffed, heading up the stairs and leaving Barbara to watch the monitors.

New years kiss
Damian Wayne x Gn!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that the holidays were wrapping up there was just one more around the corner, new years.
You honestly spend such a good time with the Wayne family on Christmas, which is celebrated in the family more as a way to be with one another rather than religious purposes.
That day was spectacular, honestly more so since you got even closer to kissing your boyfriend.
Ok ok sure, it’s a bit weird to not have kissed earlier but you’ve only been dating for a little while, you should really cut yourself some slack.
Your train of thought was wiped away as soon as Damian called your name.
“Huh?” You look up from your seat at school.
“I said if you’d like to spend new years with my family” he said, more than obviously trying to seem nonchalant about it all.
“Ummm sure! I don’t mind” you said in response and Damian just shrugged and walked away once the bell rung.
-
It was so cold in Gotham and although you were initially reluctant at accepting Damian’s offer of having Alfred pick you up, you’re glad as hell you did.
The car soon stopped in front of Wayne manor and Alfred opened the door for you.
The sharp contrast of outside making you really want to just stay inside the car but you really shouldn’t keep Alfred, or Damian for the matter, waiting.
Once you stepped inside and removed your coat and scarf Damian approached you and took you into his arms.
“Your cheeks are cold” he said as he touched your cheek with his hand.
“Yea I guess so” you leaned your head against said hand that was then yanked away.
“Awww how cute” the voice said teasing the both of you
You whipped around and saw Tim.
“when’s the wedding?”
“Ugh shut up Tim” he took you by the hand and walked off into his room while you heard Tim laugh.
Damian quickly plopped down onto his bed and motioned you to lay besides him just as fast.
“What’s got you all worked up?” You asked, half teasing half genuine.
“Nothing” He turned around and had his back to you.
You probably would’ve been a bit upset at his reaction but his more than evident blush on his ears and neck just made you even more curious.
Well for now you’ll leave it, next time tho, you’ll definitely pry.
The next thing you knew you were being called down to dinner that you’d best describe as chaotic.
I mean sure, there was teasing from more than enough people but more than anything everyone was having a good time, yourself included.
Eventually though, the sun set and the sky darkened, the time that everyone had been waiting for finally arrived.
“Finally” cass said in passing as she stretched a bit and got some of the fireworks and passed them out amongst everyone with the help of Grayson.
You and Damian stayed with the group and lit fireworks for the majority of the night but eventually you two broke off from them and chose to sit on the roof.
Of course only after you were told to keep safe and not to do anything risky.
“Here take my hand” Damian offered you a hand at finally climbing to the top of the roof, a mission you successfully accomplished.
“Phew I was honestly kind of worried that while climbing up here things would go south” you said as you let out sigh and sat comfortably.
“Same but I’m glad we just got this view” Damian motioned to the fact you can see a good part of Gotham and it’s lights.
“Yea…” you said as you stared in awe and Damian was doing something else you didn’t quite register.
No! You had to focus, this was the night you were going to have your first kiss with Damian.
“Wow I can’t believe it’s almost 12” he said as he held his phone, finally breaking you out of your train of thought.
“Yea, it’s crazy how long it’s been since we met” you said reminiscing.
“Yea.. remember when -“ you were quickly shut up by Damian’s hand over your mouth, his head was hung low and spoke softly.
With obvious confusion blatant on your face he began to speak louder, “don’t… don’t say anything while we’re at the manor, anything we say can possibly be listened to and… I’d rather not have Tim or anyone else black mail me”.
With him saying this you’d assume he was angry, but it was difficult to take him seriously when there was blush from his ears to his cheeks.
“Pffffttt— haha! Seriously Damian you’re too cute!” You start laughing as you playfully push him.
“No I’m not!” Was what Damian said among other things that were lost to the sound of your laughter.
After you finally calmed down you looked at Damian and took note of his obvious pout.
“Hey” you placed both hands on his cheeks and gently moved his face to mirror that of your own.
“What?” He said trying his best to keep stoic
“What if… we kissed?” Immediately Damian’s eyes widened and his blush returned at full force.
“Like..right now?” He asked, clearly treading carefully with how it came out as a whisper.
“Yes, only if you want to though” you said bashfully but still giving him room to back away if he didn’t want to.
His eyes avoided yours but ultimately his body language told you all you needed to know .
The two of you calmed down and there was nothing but silence.
Then the two of you leaned in, you could sense his body stiffen up and so you moved your hand over to grab his.
His body relaxed into the kiss and interlocked your hands.
The two of you flew apart and looked towards the source once you heard the loud bangs, fireworks decorating the night sky and illuminating Damian’s flushing face in the dark.
You quickly grabbed your phone and it read-
12:00 a.m Jan. 1st
-
“Hey Damiannnnn” you said as you chose to call him on your cell while lazing around.
It as only a few days later and you were talking to Damian once again, at first it was a bit awkward and Shy but baby steps.
“Yknow Damian…” you said trailing off
“What?” He said obviously distracted with something else.
“I can’t believe it’s been a year since I saw you-“
*beep*
….
He hung up…

Hi, I’m not sure if you still write for the batfamily but can I request them and a sick teen reader, who’s also in the batfamily and a vigilante with them and they get sick but refuse to rest
Batfam with a sick teen reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
I like to imagine the reader is the best and worst part of different batfam members combined into one person. Meaning he gives the family heart attacks on the regular.
You weren’t the oldest, or the youngest, member of the batfam. You were only a few months younger than Tim, making you older than Damian but younger than the others.
You were the 13th child of a great warrior who had built a group of expert warriors, think like the league of assassins but smaller and more lowkey.
Because of your tough upbringing, and your siblings always outshining you, you have always felt a deep need to show no weakness and appear stronger than you are.
This means you work extremely hard to be a great member of the batclan, going by the name Red Bat. It had started out as a joke, as you wore a helmet that appeared to have the same ears as Bruces, but was red in color. It hadn’t been on purpose, but you had come to like the name.
The family are impressed with how hard you work, though it also worries them because you work yourself to the bone sometimes, never accepting failure and punishing yourself when you don’t do good, by your own standards.
In the beginning when you joined the family, you had some struggles with Damian, Tim, and Duke, as they are the closest to your age, and you are so used to having to claw yourself into the light, to get any positive attention from a father figure or to stand out.
So, it caused some tension, but after you started settling in and you all started bonding, it went away for the most part. A small part of your soul, deeply hidden inside, still feels like you aren’t good enough and never will be, and there might be some faint jealousy of the rest of the family. It doesn’t get in the way of you loving them all though.
Bettering your relationship with the family hasn’t slowed down your excessive training though, or how roughly you treat yourself. Cass ends up having to just resort hugging you until you allow yourself to relax. Damian will train with you, but does it with the purpose of tiring you out without causing any damage. If anybody knows what it’s like, it’s Cass and Damian, so they never blame you.
Because of your extremely high standards for yourself, you never slow down, even when you are sick. You’ll go as long as possible, hiding your sickness from the family until you literally can’t anymore.
And even then, you keep pushing yourself and brushing off their concern. The only one who seemingly can pull you away from your spiral with no struggle, is Alfed, because its Alfred, and no one goes against Alfred.
The rest of the family would try different ways to make you rest.
Dick would wrap a weighted blanket around you when you are at the batcomputer, and lean against you as you work, just telling you about his day. It works sometimes, because you always feel safe around him, so if you are already exhausted and drowsy, it can put you out.
Jason hovers in the background too, maybe brings you some of your favorite food from downtown, sits nearby. If you are really sick, he will scold you in the way he does, prodding at you till you go to bed to rest. If its really bad, he will throw you over his shoulder and force you to rest.
Cass is always the first to spot when you are sick, and always gives you small, disappointed frowns when you push yourself too hard, and her reaction probably makes your heart ache the most. She pulls you from your work to watch a movie with her, making sure to wrap you in blankets and keep you close until you fall asleep.
Tim is the type to sit beside you when you work, since hes not the pinnacle of health most times too. Might use it as a “if you go rest, I will to” to force you to go, since you love your brother very much and want him to get better too. The rest of the fam regularly finds you guys passed out over a case together.
Duke hovers too, brings you medicine and will talk to you about his day to keep you distracted from whatever is keeping you awake and active. He understands pushing yourself even when you are sick, and knows that forcing you to go rest wont help, so he tries to subtly push you in that direction instead of pushing you.
Damian scowls nearby, probably gives you some speech about how being sick will make you less lethal and weaker, and then you can’t do your job as Red Bat at all. Resorts to dumping different batclan animals on you until you have no choice. You end up laying against batcow, Jerry the turkey beside you, Alfred the cat in your lap, Titus and Ace laying around you, you get the point.
Bruce looms and hovers, since he’s not the best with words. Its easy to tell he’s worried when he keeps pacing near you or keeping an eye on you. Will matter of factly tell you that you need rest, brings you a blanket or other comfort items.
If you try to run off on patrol, Barbara is quick to tell the others what you are up too. If you are really sick, they’ll whisk you back to the manor kicking and screaming if they have too, as being extremely sick can put you at risk.
If its milder, they’ll just hover nearby and keep a close eye on you and your physical state.
The first few times it happened, it caused a huge argument because of your inability to let yourself rest, and because that sick twisted part inside you was sure it was because they saw you as weak or a burden, like your first siblings did, since there was no excuse for weakness in your first family.
It results in them, and especially Bruce because he’s the one you look up to the most, having to sit down with you and explain that there’s nothing wrong with being sick or so called “weak”, and that its okay to take a rest when you need it.
It also results in the rest of the family having to lead by example, because you’ll always snip and point out how they’re not resting when they are sick, so why should you.
Alfred thanks the circumstances and that the family all love each other so much, he’s been trying to get the batfam try to take breaks and rest when sick for years, and now that they must be someone you can look up too, they’ll actually do it.
It becomes kind of a game to force the sick family members to rest, lotsa blanket burritos and the sick person always ends up with Alfred the cat curled up on their chest purring somehow. Its especially fun when its Bruce that’s sick, because you all have to hound him an extra amount for him to take care of himself.

How do you think cass is like as a big sister? Considering she’s like the second oldest sibling in the batfam
I think her big sistering is VERY dependent on the sibling. The person she's the best older sibling for is probably Duke, given that she's had the most time getting used to being a sister, and they have the most drama-free and cute relationship. She adores him and fully embraces her role as his older sister, and he adores her in return!
Tim is the second best sister-brother relationship. They didn't start out as siblings which makes some of their early interactions... um... un-sibling-like (see Tim's reaction to her in Babs' Batgirl suit), but after that initial bump they get along very well and trust each other implicitly (see Batgirl (2008) and Red Robin (2009)). She's not exactly an older sister to him, though, since they act much more like equals; and their differing opinions on Bruce/Batman sometimes drive a wedge between them. Very sibling-coded to argue over your dad, though.
Damian is a bit weird for her. He has a lot in common with her, but in some ways their experiences are complete opposites - he was raised to think of himself as important, while Cass was raised to think of herself as a tool. In Gates of Gotham, Cass does earn Damian's trust, but she doesn't really wanna deal with him and explicitly is like 'yeah Tim he's your problem'. I think they avoid each other, honestly, and when they do interact it's cordial but not close. She doesn't do much big sistering for him and they're both fine with that.
Last but not least is our favourite dead boy Jason Todd. Cass definitely lords her 'older' status over him, but not her 'sister' status so much; they are the least close to each other of maybe any pairing in the Batfam. They are also two of the most abrasive personalities in the family, so besides the morality stuff they just don't like each other. The 'big sistering' here is more of the insults, snide comments, fist-fighting variety. Duke is the only person both would hold a truce for, and that is very tenuous.
So overall she's like a 5/10 older sister, which is honestly impressive for someone who spent the majority of her life heavily isolated. If you asked her four younger brothers if she was a good sister, Duke and Tim would say yes, Damian would say she's okay, and Jason would tell you to go to hell.

Outstanding antagonists after Junior Year
This post is as much for myself for fanfic purposes as it is for any speculation regarding a Senior Year that may never happen and even if it does would be I think at an absolute minimum three years and more likely 4-5 down the road, but I wanted to round up the known potential antagonists remaining out in the world, roughly ranked in order of known hostility:
Chungledown Bim. Certainly the MOST hostile of opponents, we know he's not dead post-Boy's Night (whenever Boy's Night is supposed to fit into the Quangle) because he's on Fabian's nemesis alert.
Arianwen Abernant. Evidently she has recovered her magic, probably while Cassandra was corrupted into a more Nightmare King-ish state. She was pretty pissed at Aelwyn and Adaine the last time we saw her over the whole death of Angwyn thing; I somehow don't think being chased around Sylvaire by the vand will have improved her mood.
Bobby Dawn. The full extent of his involvement in the Junior Year plot is uncertain, but he sure as hell wasn't helping things. Also some real potential hate between him and the party over the Sandra Lynn thing; while Fig might be gone in a Senior Year I'm going to ignore that for these rankings and in any case Sandra Lynn still lives with Kristen and Adaine regardless, so I think that conflict would be born out. I also think there's a strong case for a clash of pantheons style story going on in the background, and Bobby here would be front and center on the Sol-Helio-maybe Galicaea side.
Kalina. I don't necessarily think Kalina actually IS a traitor to Cassandra the way that Kristen thinks and Ankarna thinks; I almost believe that her turning up at the end of Junior Year was a reaction to them deciding to hunt her, in fact. That being said, while I think Kalina is fully team Cassandra, I also think (and even understand!) that she is most definitely NOT team Kristen, who did let Cassandra kind-of-die and now is splitting her attention. So what's Kalina's play now? I think she's going to try to push for Bobby Dawn to add Cassandra back to the Sol-Helio-Galicaea pantheon, which would be to her a much more stable foundation to keep Cassandra alive on than Kristen.
The Automatons that are going to be hunting Fig. Yes, these are self-evidently a way to excuse that Fig won't be around to help out if there's a senior year and Emily chooses to not play Fig. They're also kind of hilarious, especially since they open up all kinds of questions like 'wait did Sandra Lynn spend her first year of adventuring fighting off killer statues of Arthur Aguefort?' They'd be higher except they're only hostile to 1/6th of the Bad Kids.
Gertie Bladeshield. Also only hostile to 1/6th of the Bad Kids at present, though Cassandra knows if any of them speak up in Kristen's defense she'll probably swear a vow of emnity to them too. Could probably be made up with via a sincere apology, or at least by setting her up with someone.
The Court of Stars and Princess Nara. Now we're into the dubiously hostile territory, because this might not lead to actual conflict, but if there IS a clash of pantheons between the Sol one and the Ankarna-Cass one then the most obvious fight other than Cassandra is over where Galicaea ends up. The members of the Court of Stars we met this season seemed much more, um, I'll use the word chilled out than Angwyn and Kir of last year, but it still feels like a mercurial thing.
Arthur Aguefort. I've been saying for a very long time that the only boss fight that makes sense for a Senior Year IS to have to fight Arthur Aguefort himself; it doesn't even necessarily have to be a 'he's evil' sort of thing, but could just be a 'you're the best party we've had in centuries and I wanna throw down'. He dropped some hints at it in the finale, of course, too!

Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts? (Cassian x Reader) - Part 2
Hello!! Here's Part two of Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts?
I originally planned on having just the two parts but looks like there's going to be a few more, there's no set plans for this story so I guess we'll see where it takes us 🩷
Summary: After a night out that resulted in a drunken love confession from Cassian, you're left to face with the consequences of it being a potential mistake, the appearance of an old flame further adding to your confusion
“About last night, can we talk?”
A chill swept over you at those words. You hated yourself for thinking that the confession that seemed to fall so easily from his lips, that had bought you so much hope, had been nothing more than a drunken lie.
You fixed your face into a mask of indifference as you looked back at him. You wouldn’t, couldn’t, let him see your heart shatter at the rejection. Shame and hopelessness coursed through you – you’d set your feelings aside for so long and couldn’t believe how easily you had let your guard down.
Cassian took another step towards you, brows furrowed as he stumbled over the rights words to say, the best way to let you down. However, as he opened his mouth to speak, the heavy silence was broken by a singsong voice.
“Good morning,”
Mor waltzed into the room; her silken hair thrown over her shoulders as she took a seat on the armchair opposite you, looking as though she hadn’t got as little as three hours sleep after being out all night.
“How are we all?”
You blinked at the sudden change of pace, feeling relief wash over you. Cassian’s rejection may be inevitable but at least you could try to delude yourself by having that conversation pushed back just a little bit longer.
Not noticing Cassian’s lingering stare, you grinned back at Mor and quipped “You’re very energetic for someone who stayed out until the crack of dawn.” “Well, when you had as good a night as I did, you would be pretty happy too,” she said with a wink, seemingly oblivious to the previous tensions and your current inner turmoil.
“Besides, we had plans today, don’t tell me you forgot?” Your sheepish look told Mor that you had in fact forgotten your plans for brunch followed by a day of shopping for Starfall dresses.
“Y/N! I’m giving you fifteen minutes to get ready before I leave you behind” and with that she waltzed back out of the room, leaving you and Cassian in silence. You gave him a somewhat forced smile as you made your way towards the door, but Cassian halted you by grabbing your arm as you walked past.
“Y/N—” He started, not letting go of you. “Cass, it’s fine. Forget it ever happened.” You shrugged out of his hold and left, not noticing the step he took after you and the look of devastation that crossed his features.
*****
You let Mor talk at length about her night and the fae she had gone home with, you only half listened as you pushed your food around your plate, offering acknowledgements only when she paused for your reaction.
“Okay, what is going on with you? You’ve hardly eaten or said a word since we got here.” Staring back with wide eyes, you offered an apologetic smile, feeling guilty over the fact you had clearly zoned out.
“Nothing, sorry… Just a bit tired after last night I guess.”
“So, this has nothing to do with the obvious tension between you and Cassian this morning? You’re welcome by the way, for getting you out of whatever that was.”
Again, you stared at her for a moment before shaking your head and mustering up what you hoped was a convincing smile. “Tension? There wasn’t anything going on. He’d only just walked in before you, had probably just woken up.” You knew she didn’t buy a word of it but, thankfully, let it go.
“Well, if you’re done here, let’s get started. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover, and I’m determined to find the perfect Starfall dress today.”
*****
Mor found her dress fairly quickly into the hunt, a stunning off-the-shoulder piece in her signature red, but you were having little luck with your mind being elsewhere.
“Let’s just go home, we’ve been at this for hours.” You were tired and still feeling hurt over Cassian, all you wanted to do was to go to bed and hide away from the world.
“No, not yet. We’re finding you your dress today. Now get back into the change room, I’ll pick out some more options for you, the last few dresses you picked out were hideous…” She trailed off as she beelined towards a rack at the back of the store.
After everything that had transpired over the last 12 hours, from Cassian’s, apparent, confession of love, to his obvious attempt at rejection, the thought of Starfall filled you with dread.
You had managed to set aside your feelings for so long, never letting them interfere with your longstanding friendship, as you reluctantly accepted that nothing would ever eventuate. But that slither of hope that had stuck with you all night had those walls falling down and you started to envision the possibility of a future with him. But as quickly as you had let those thoughts in, they were snatched away, leaving you with the fall out of having to pretend as though everything was fine.
Now with Starfall only two weeks away, you couldn’t bear the thought of building those walls back up and having to act as you normally would on the night: dancing with your friends, and Cassian, whilst also watching him dance with the countless females who lined up, waiting for their chance to snag his attention.
“Here, try this.” Mor’s hand was waving a dress at you through the gap in the change room curtains. You begrudgingly tried it on and instantly knew it would be the one you would be buying. The dress was made of a deep emerald, green material, intricate beading trailed along the bodice, leading down to a long flowing skirt.
“Well? How does it look?” Mor let out a squeal at the sight of you, “I knew this would be the one!” She gestured for you to spin around, and you watched your reflection in the mirror as the skirt of the dress flared out around you.
You changed out of the dress and took it up to the counter, both watching in silence as the shop attendant carefully wrapped the dress up for you.
“Now that we have that out of the way, what do you say to a quick dinner and wine before we head home?”
*****
The two of you walked along the Sidra, Mor talking excitedly about Starfall and the dresses you bought as you made your way to a wine bar that had recently opened. “—and you know, I think the green of your dress will go particularly well alongside Illyrian leathers and, say, a red siphon or two” You whipped your head to her, catching the sly grin she was giving you, mischief dancing in her eyes.
Letting out a huff, you opened your mouth to dispute her when a familiar laugh from across the river caught your attention. You turned towards the sound and felt your body go rigid at the sight of Cassian and the beautiful female walking beside him, who just so happened to be his ex.

Thanks for reading! So I need some thoughts, do we want more fluff? angst? a happy ending? slow burn? Let me know!!

hi! i'd like to ask a one shot on thomas shelby in which y/n is a girl in her early 20's who's his girlfriend. lately he's been super busy with work and they haven't spent much quality time together. during one of his dinners at arrow house she purposely acts flirty with some of the male guests just to make tommy jealous and get a reaction out of him. it works and after dinner he confronts her about it but she acts clueless. they have an "argument" during which he understands she actually did that on purpose. that soon turns into a heated makeout session cause they're both craving for each other and where he gets kinda "possessive" (in a good way).
thanks :)
Hey Love!
Thank you for the request! I hope you enjoy it. The ending is a bit different, hope that's alright. I also may have thrown in more than kissing...
An extra super duper big thank you to @theshelbyslimited not only did Cass approve this outline and get me motivated to write it she also cooked up the best line in the story!
Warnings: smut, spanking, possessive dom, nothing super descriptive (compared to my other stuff), mentions of potential cheating, sad childhood vibes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You woke up and sighed heavily at the neat blankets on the other side of your bed. Well, your boyfriend's bed. You looked around the massive room and felt a dreadful feeling start to creep up the back of your neck again. The hangover you had was making the room spin slightly as blood pounded in your ears.
You and Thomas had been going out for almost 7 months. You had nothing personal at his house as you rarely slept there. Most of the time was spent at your flat in London. You’d spent the night last night because everyone was too drunk to drive you home.
You rolled over onto your side running your hands over the silky sheets, missing your bed back home. Remembering that the big charity gala was tonight you realized you would need to get home soon in order to be ready in time.
You moved to the bathroom and then pulled on last night's dress.
_______
Your head was pounding as you moved down the stairs. Walking down the hall you heard a sound that made your stomach drop.
A very feminine giggle escaped from Thomas’s office. You knew you should barge in there, all of Esme’s warnings flashed before you. A feeling that had been stuck inside you since childhood started to take over making you feel small and worthless.
Stupid man.
You knocked on the office door.
“Come in.” Tom’s voice called out quickly. He was sitting at his desk looking unamused at his guest who was thankfully fully dressed and sat opposite to him.
He introduced you and you immediately disliked the woman lounging in the chair. She was sprawled out looking much too comfortable, but there was something off about her. Her gaze and smile were eerie.
“Sorry to bother you, I should probably be off.” You siad keeping your voice neutral.
“I’ll take you.” He gave you a nod. “Thanks for coming by Diana.”
“I’ll tell Mosley you got the message. It was nice meeting you.”
She left the room and a maid took her towards what you assumed was the front door. Mosley? Anything to do with him is an absolute problem. The man was twisted and the evil sensation that clung to her like a cloud suddenly made sense.
However, the woman was young, blonde, and reminding you of Tommy’s late wife Grace. Your mind had already started to prepare you for the breakup. You were caught up in your thoughts and suddenly you were in the passenger seat on the way home.
“You alright?” Tom asked eventually sliding his hand across the seat to grab yours.
“We haven't spent a lot of time together.” You blurted out. It was easier than asking him if he was cheating.  You knew his reputation when you had started going out with him, it wouldn't be unlike him to break promises.
“Been busy.” He shrugged. “Lots happening with work.”
“Is Diana just for work?” You whispered unable to speak clearly.
“Yes.” He answered seriously. “Do me a favor?”
“What?”” you asked still trying to decide if you should trust his answer about Diana.
“Wear the red dress tonight eh?”
“Alright.” You said thoughts spinning. He kissed you and you ran up to your apartment wishing you had someone to talk to that wasn't related to him.
______________________
You were late to the party but as you weren't engaged or married to Thomas it didn't really matter. No one took you very seriously anyway.
You wore the red dress paired with an elegant diamond necklace he had gifted you for your birthday. They felt heavy resting on your neck. No matter how much you tried to reassure yourself that he was just busy with work, the pain in your stomach wouldn't budge. Walking up the steps you saw a couple flirting with each other on a balcony.
Watching them laugh you had an excellent and horrible idea. Maybe you could make him jealous? Then he would pay more attention to you, while also confirming that he is faithful.
You decided it should be fine as long as you were subtle and nothing got too out of hand.
Scanning the room your eyes landed on Tom’s favorite business partner and you smiled. This was going to be fun.
“You're late.” His voice caught you as you turned around.
“Takes time to look this lovely.” You smiled up at him as Tom’s blue eyes devoured your appearance.
“What a lie.” He kissed the top of your head and for a moment you felt like maybe you wouldn't need your plan. “I have to keep a close eye on Mosley. Try to keep yourself out of trouble.” He whispered in your ear as he held you in an embrace. To anyone else, you would have looked like two lovers sharing a moment.
You couldn't help but frown as he pulled away from you and moved into the sitting room. He didn't even introduce you to anyone. You stood there awkwardly watching all the wealthy people, a great deal older than you laugh and socialize.
You looked around for your original lifeline and caught him by the window with a disgruntled face.
Once reaching him you enjoyed the exasperated sigh he let out. Tommy kept you far away from all things related to the business, but no matter how hard he tried you had ended up running into Alfie a great deal.
“Alfie!” You said in a cheerful voice. His eyes looked you over for a moment and for some reason you felt he already knew what you were planning.
“Here to piss off your man then?”
“How did you - Never mind. You stay by me it will prevent you from having to talk to the rest of the people here.”
“And make Thomas angry.” He said with a smile and a glint in his eye. He reached out his rough calloused hand for you to shake.
The rest of the evening you held on to his arm and enjoyed the stories he told you. You didnt need to fake laugh because his description of Tommy in most of his stories was genuinely funny.
You saw Tom's eyes land on you a few times throughout the night. Other times tipsy men would come up and try to steal you away from Alfie’s side making you all the more grateful for his presence.
You didn't want to fight off all the creeps alone. Another reason to be angry at Thomas.
The night passed quickly as you and Alfie chatted about family, history, the world, conflicts, and religion. You enjoyed his company and started to dread the end of the evening.
But the time had come when he had to leave. He gave you a large bear hug and wished you the best of luck with a wink.
The rest of the guests left including the family which you thought was odd. Normally for late parties like this, they would spend the night.
Polly gave you a hug and told you how pretty you looked in your gown.
“Certainly made an impression on Thomas! He’s kicking everyone out. Have a good night!” She kissed your cheek and winked at you.
He kicked everyone out? Your stomach twisted, this wasn't going to go over well.
Your goal was to go to bed next to him, but your prize was appearing to be more of a night on the couch.
You stood in the dining room watching the drunk socialites stumble out of the house. He shook hands and thanked people, but soon it was empty. Just the two of you.
You watched him look you over from the doorway to the dining room, eyes dark, expression shut down. You thought about being the first one to speak but decided against it. He was the one that started this whole situation.
“Had a lot to say to Alfie tonight.” He said in a cold voice.
“Well, sue me for actually enjoying someone listening to what I have to say, unlike a certain someone who’s barely spoken to me in a  fortnight” Your words were equally as cold despite not wanting to fight.
“Ah, and Alfie listened to what you had to say eh?” He laughed darkly.
“Yes, he even did me the favour of keeping the creeps away. Should hire him for every-” Something flashed in his eyes preventing you from finishing your sentence. He caught you off guard by coming towards you. He walked towards you with such confidence and anger you had to fight your instinct to run away.
His hands raised towards you and you flinched. You were relived to feel the nature of his touch was not something to run from. His hand squeezed the back of your neck tightly, forcing your lips up towards his mouth.
His lips crashed against yours with passion and you let him take what he wanted. His other hand gripped your rib cage holding you in place.
"Mine." He breathed between kisses making your heart feel like it was about to explode.
You kissed him back feeling yourself start to slip away. He kissed down your neck, and suddenly your dress slipped down your body. Your mind briefly wondered when he got the buttons and zipper undone - all mysteries were banished as he tuned you around. He pushed you against the table and you shivered when your breasts pressed against the cold polished wood of the table.
His hand came down on your ass hard enough that the sound bounced around the empty space. Pain and pleasure ran through you like electricity.
“Don’t. You. Ever.” He said in between blows. “Go. Looking. For. Someone. Else. To Listen.”
Embarrassment flooded your face as you felt the wetness between your legs begin to drip down your thighs.
Looking up at the large space, knowing that any of the staff might wonder in caused a weird sort of chaos to swirl in your veins.
“I - I Won’t” You breathed. You expected another round, still unsure of why this was making you so turned on. His hand gently caressed the red flesh.
“Please.” You whimpered with tears starting to spill over on your cheeks. He didn't waste any more of your time. He took you roughly on the table. Relentlessly forcing orgasms from your body. When you felt spent and overstimulated his words would soothe you back into doing exactly what he wanted and needed.
Eventually, he wore himself out and you laid there on your back looking up at the chandelier, mind only processing the twinkles in the crystal. Your whole body was floating and you couldn't really think well enough to sort out what was going on.
You felt rested. He laid on the table next to you, out of breath with his chest heaving.
“You on the table like that really brings the room together.” He said with a smile on his face. You remember his family's hate for the room and let out a laugh.
"I'm sorry," he said after a long while.
"What?" You must have imagined him saying it because there was no way Thomas Shelby would be apologizing to you. He never apologized for anything - ever.
"I'm sorry, for being busy. For the party - and well -" his voice trailed off.
"Oh don't have to apologize for that." You laughed. His eyes roamed over your body and he rolled onto his side placing a softer kiss on your lips.
After that he carried you up to bed, settling himself next to you.

Three Pasts
The Waynes +Tim had Christmas. And some other welcome and unwelcome guests.
(HHJ: Hi guys! After this one update I might afraid that my next update will be so long after this one, because my professors decide that their happiness is their student's suffering. I am drowning with a bunch of reports to do, so just giving you a heads up!)
Start - Three Weeks
Prev - Three Videos
Next - Three Compliments
Tim knows that he had to go back, after with a bunch of messages pinging his phone and tonight is Christmas Eve. Tim doesn’t want to even celebrate this forsaken holiday, as he doesn’t have any experiences on how to celebrate it.
But he has no choice as Tam is going to celebrate with her family and Tim doesn’t want to put more burden than he already had.
So, at noon, he picked himself and said goodbye to Tam and travelled back to the curse house of the Waynes. He quietly enters the house and hopes that nobody could see him tiptoeing around as if he snuck out last night and failed to come home late at night.
But of course, Cass found him doing stupid shit in his life. She has an expression on her face that could only be translated that she is not amused at whatever Tim pulled. Tim looked at her and awkwardly smiled, “Hey, Cassie.” Tim used his annoying voice, hoping for some reaction out of Cass, but nada.
“You left.” Cass signed and Tim knows he fucked up. Cass was more on using broken English as she was more comfortable using it and she just used signs when she is incredibly high of emotions, A.K.A when she is mad.
Tim just gave her a pout, hoping to soften her, “I know, I left a little bit hastily yesterday. But I was pissed, you know? Why do I get called a whore when they probably have laid more people than I have?” he justified himself, he knows it is a little bit immature but Tim is a petty little shit.
“Made me worried. What if you didn’t come back?” Cass signed a little too fast but Tim still understood it, after all, Cass’ eyes showed so much hurt and desperation. When he left, Tim did not give anyone anything to prove of his life except for those postcards that he kept sending until Tim was caught in the flesh by Cass.
Tim hugged his sister tight, “And not attend your wedding? Not in this life.” And he can feel Cass relaxed a little bit.
“Was really scared. Couldn’t find you. Felt miserable, useless.” Cass stuttered. And Tim just cradled her sister, understanding that his sister doesn’t like being incompetent.
Tim dragged Cass to the nearest couch, “Come on, let's take a nap before tonight.” Tim said as he fell down to the couch with Cass in tow.
Cass squirmed a little until she got a comfy spot. “Dad wants everyone to celebrate Christmas. Be here, okay?” she mumbled as she was slowly giving in to sleep.
“Just for you, Cass.”
+++++
Christmas eve is not that eventful, thank goodness. They just made gingerbread houses— which Tim wants to brag to Tam that he has the best gingerbread house, thank you very much— they ate dinner, with it can be considered a feast and Tim just stick to three foods that he very much missed to eat, Alfred’s carbonara, chicken pot pie and coffee jelly, and then of course, the gift giving.
He gave everyone a knitter sweater with their symbols, and no Tim did not knit everyone’s sweater, he just made a custom order and the only sweater he hand knit is Cass’. Everyone seems fine with his gift and he starts to open his gifts. Alfred made him a red scarf, Bruce gave him camera lens –which he already has, but it doesn’t hurt having an extra one— Richard gave him a  ticket to Paris Olympics— no, Tim is not interested on going — Jason book about photography –which he doesn’t need, he had a degree— Damian gave him a painting of him, sitting on settee— Tim looks good in the painting, not gonna lie— Cass gave him an obnoxious yellow sleeve dress shirt with black pants — Tim is still laughing— Steph gave him a buttplug but Tim quickly hid it from the eyes of Alfred when he gave Stephanie the finger.
But nevertheless, nothing went awry as Christmas celebration was always done after the clock hit twelve, as the Waynes still needed to do their patrol. And Tim just waved goodbye and helped Alfred clean the mess they made.
And that’s how Christmas Eve went for him.
How does the Christmas Eve look so tame to him because the night after Christmas, Bruce apparently throws a Christmas Party for everyone in the caped community and their closed friends instead of going to the Christmas Gala for Gotham socialites.
And Tim is fucked. He doesn’t want to meet those bastards, he planned on sneaking to hang out with Tam but Tam is also invited together with her family. So, Tim is basically trapped and nowhere to escape and Cass would probably not gonna let him go.
So, here he was, sneaking to the food table to get some wine, because he is in desperate need of alcohol in his body to get through to this bloody Christmas Party that was hosted by Bruce and apparently it was a tradition for the past 5 years. And Tim doesn’t know that, he was gone for seven years!
Tim doesn’t expect anyone to know who the fuck he is. After all, he put on his best red dress, as it was per rule that one must wear a red or green, the Dior 1999 Collection , the red knit dress with mink fur collar and buttons. One of Tim’s favourites and he made sure to go bold or go home. He styled his shoulder-length hair in curls and had two braids that held his hair. And his face, he can be the new Madame Red. Red eyeshadow, red lipstick and red blush. He is the new Red Queen.
But Tim doesn’t expect to be hugged by a speedster that worms his way to his cold, stone heart. It was Bartholomew Henry Allen II. One of his best friends, that he was kind of sad to leave. If  Tim just decides to be a man and reconnects with them but he chooses the godforsaken company of Bruce and he regrets it.
“TIM! I miss you so much!” Bart said as he continued to hug him so tight and Tim just let the negative year old kid to hug him. He kind of missed the feeling of Bart’s hugs now.
“Hey, Bart. I miss you too.” Tim softly said as he gently patted Bart’s fluffy hair.
Bart looks at him and has a pout, and Tim could not do anything but coo at such an adorable face, “Why did you not call me?”
Tim smiled a little, “I kind of have to give up my phone to go off the grid, you know?”
“But you memorised my number, email, and even Wally’s phone number!” Bart tightened his hug, seeing Tim was lying to him.
“I maybe just forgot.” Tim said sadly and Bart finally let it go. He let Tim go and dragged Tim to the sweets on the table, and they started catching up. Bart was finally a hero like his grandfather, and also finished school and has an identity as Wally’s little brother.
“Are you coming back to the cape scene?” Bart said after swallowing a huge marshmallow that was covered in chocolate. And Tim answered in a quick speed.
“Nope! Absolutely not!”
Bart grimaced, “That was a bit quick, don’t you think?”
“I don’t have to think about going back to the phase of my life that made me miserable, Bart. Some things are the best to be forgotten and never look back on.” Tim smiled and Bart finally got the hint that Tim will never be back on taking a mantle ever again.
++++++++
“Tim?”
Tim stopped his strut after hearing the voice that he rather not want to hear again, he looked at the man and straightfaced said, “It’s Timothy. Timothy Jackson Drake. Just in case you misnamed it in your head, Mr. Kent.”
“It’s been so long and you look different.” Clark said, probably hoping for some small talk, but Timothy rather did not talk to this man, he may have healed himself but he also was a petty man.
“You too. You look…” Timothy’s eyes scanned Clark from the top of his head to the bottom of his shoes, degradingly, “...old.” and then Timothy smiled, empathetically(degrading).
Clark chuckled, not sensing Tim’s hatred to be in his vicinity, “Well I am nearing sixty, ageing and all of that.”
“Kind of treating yourself poorly, don’t you?” Tim smiled so sweetly yet his eyes were full of venom, “Wrinkles, spots, dullness… poor you, Clark.” Tim pointed out all of the signs of ageing in Clark and having so much fun seeing a little awkwardness on Clark’s face.
“I am fine with —”
“Oh, I am quite busy as I need to come back to Tam before she throws a tantrum.” Tim cut Clark’s sentence as his patience is already thin enough to be rude and disrespectful to Superman.
Clark seemed like still hadn't gotten the memo and kept on questioning Tim, “Are you and Tam?” Clark asked, seemingly having not touched the internet to find out that Tim and Tam are nothing but friends.
“Haven’t you heard from Vicki Vale yet?”
“A reporter yet so damn ignorant. Shouldn’t you be more informed on who is in the party? It is kind of your thing.”
++++++++
Timothy finally got the time for himself as he escaped to the crowded ballroom where the Christmas party was hosted and Tim finally got a chance to escape by the veranda. He is glad he took a bottle of champagne and a bowl of crackers, as he got the serene scene of Bristol and the nice bite of Gotham’s winter.
Timothy was about to close his eyes as he made his mind to sleep in the cold veranda, when the doors toward it opened, revealing Superboy I, Conner ‘Kon-El’ Kent. A man that he trusts, and the man who throws him out.
Tim decided to end the awkward staring contest when he greeted Conner, “Conner! It has been so long.”
Conner looks where the voice that he hasn't heard for seven years comes from and he doesn’t expect a Timothy Jackson Drake in front of him. Tim changed, the light from the chandeliers gave Tim’s red undertone to shine with blood moon earrings and red pearl necklace. Tim is wearing a red fur dress and has a wool crepe scarf. And Tim also put on some bold red eyeshadow and lipstick on his face.
“Tim, you look stunning.” Conner said without thinking, “But aren’t you a little bit too red?”
Tim looked at his clothes, “It’s Christmas and the only dress that I have in something red like the theme is this, Dior, 1999 Collection. One of my favourites actually. It’s vintage, it’s on trend.” Tim smiled and then gasped, “Do not tell me that you are still not on trend, Conner? That is very shameful.”
“I just don’t like following the flow.”
“And yet you did, to keep the peace. Right?” Tim smiled, remembering the last conversation he had with Conner before going off the grid.
Conner's face was contorted in grimace, guilt on his eyes were finally showing. “I am sorry—”
“I don’t need your apology, Conner. I already forgave you, so, so, so long ago.” Tim said and patted Conner’s back with his gloved hand. “But I don’t forget, I am not as naive as I was once.” and with that Timothy left Conner alone.

Ahhh hi!
So, I have a request for Cassidy, Reaper, Moria, and Soldier:76 (separate, please).
What I was thinking is their darling (preferably masculine, but gn works too) goes outside while they’re sleeping. Not because they’re trying to escape, but because they just wanted to go on the porch for a bit. Darling doesn’t even think about leaving, and is surprised when the person comes running outside for them, thinking that they left.
What do you think their reactions would be? Would they be mad, understanding, not really care?
Thank you and have a good day!
(Also don’t forget to hydrate and take care of yourself)
tw: yandere, abuse

❤️‍🔥 Cassidy
The man sleeps like a log. Snores and everything, gives off a lot of body heat. It’s easy to be overwhelmed sharing a bed with him, especially on sleepless nights.
Luckily, due to his heavy sleeping, you’re able to slink out from underneath him and out the bedroom with little trouble. You’re surprised he doesn’t have other measures to prevent you from doing this.
You’re dying for fresh air, cracking open a window and resting your head in your hands as the breeze cools your skin. The desert at night is empty with stars painting the sky.
It takes some time before Cassidy notices you’re gone and he’s surprisingly cool-headed, partly because he’s just woken up.
He finds you looking out the open window, relieved that you haven’t left for good. Not that you could’ve made it very far without him.
“What’s the matter, sweetheart?” his arms wrap around you and presses you against his body’s musky heat.
“It’s so hot, Cass,” you whine, “I need some fresh air. Please?”
He takes you by the hand and leads you to the front door, stepping out onto the porch. You follow and sit with him, leaning your head on his shoulder.
The desert climate doesn’t make for perfect sleeping conditions, but it’s freeing. He holds you until you fall back asleep, stealing you back to bed soon after.
🖤 Reaper
Lightest sleeper, a pin drop will wake this man. Not that you would know, he keeps you in a separate room.
Did I say room? It’s more of a box, no windows or doors etc. Some toys to pass the time while he’s away. Not the most trusting yandere.
So you don’t have a lot of options when it comes to step out for a breather.
But the Reaper works at night. And when he’s off conducting Talon business, there’s no one to stop you if, say, you’ve stolen the keys to your chambers.
And let’s be honest, it’s probably not by your own merit that the keys ended up in your hands, knowing how much Reaper enjoys punishing you.
But it’s not like you were doing anything wrong. You weren’t exactly looking to escape, a part of you might not have wanted to and the other couldn’t afford the consequences. But staying indoors with such minimal resources was enough to drive anyone stir-crazy.
You miss the feeling the open breeze, the sound of birds and bugs buzzing around. Anything to remind you that the world did indeed exist outside of Reaper’s hold.
You brought blankets and pillows and laid yourself down on the porch - just to enjoy the outdoors without all its discomforts. Relax to the sound of crickets chirping.
Of course, you end up asleep, and when Reaper catches you out, he’s not at all happy to find you outside your room. Before you can even process all that is happening, you’re inside your chambers again.
His shadowed tendrils hold you against the wall, “Are you out of your damned mind?”
Black smoke filled your lungs, stammering your words, “I-I’m sorry I stole the keys, it’s just- I can’t stay in here for so long.”
“You have the gall to think I don’t know what’s best for you?” he releases you, letting you fall to the floor and gasping for air, “Earn your place.”
He leaves soon after and you can’t help but flog yourself for being so bold. Maybe if you keep complying to him, he might give you that freedom. Or it’s just another carrot to hang over your head.
🧡 Moira
She has safeguards in place that prevent you from outright leaving your quarters, but you’ve mostly free range.
Moira’s obsession with you is a bit different from the other yanderes because of her experimental tendencies.
She likes to see you come undone, whether by her own hand or keeping you under the influence of some test substance. So you don’t always have your wits about you, her way of restricting you.
Rarely do you have time to clear your head, desperate for reprieve. Most days the sun is far too bright for your adulterated state, but the moonlight is that goldilocks-perfect pale glow.
Moira has security measures in place, so she knows when you’ve left the house. And when she’s notified that you opened the front door, she’s livid.
When she confronts you, you think she’s going to tear the head off your shoulders without even a word as she pulled you back inside with little resistance.
“I’ve half a mind to keep you paralyzed,” she is fuming, jaw tight.
You writhe in her grasp, “Wait, Moira, I can explain-“
Yours words come out just as weak as your body as she shoves you into her lab.
“Keep your explanations to yourself. I’ll see to it you’ll never need them.”
Looks like you’ll have to find some other way to convince her to let you outside. (Bad ending vibes)
🩵 Soldier: 76
Big spoon. Very possessive. He holds you close and his weight is crushing. Most difficult one to sneak away from in these circumstances.
Even if you try to break away, he’ll pull you back into him. You’ll need deliberation and luck on your side to slip away.
If only you could have the house to yourself. Just waste time on the living room couch, watching some TV and eating snacks. Maybe take a hot bath.
But your captor was in the next room over, the last thing you wanted to do was wake him. Best you could do to relieve your muddled mind was to get some fresh air.
Your heart is thumping against your chest. Jack’s cardinal rule is to never leave the house, and if he caught you sneaking out like this who knows what he would do to you. Still, you had made it this far, you might as well enjoy the luxury.
And as you might expect, your absence is noted almost immediately. In fact, you’re no less than a few paces from the bedroom when his hand catches yours.
“Back to bed,” he commands, all gravel.
“No,” you protest, trying to halt him with a hand on his wrist but he leads you anyway, “I don’t want to go back to bed, I can’t breathe in here.”
He turns back to you, brows knit. He leads you past the bed and releases you on a pillowed surface, behind which was an elaborate work of contraints he restrained you against. It’s a dog bed, you realize.
“This will be your sleeping arrangement until you learn how to behave.”

THIS IS FOR FANS OF CASSANDRA CAIN! PLEASE READ! I WANT YOUR THOUGHTS
(skip to the bottom if you just want silly headcanons about her :D)
Hello! So first, I want to thank everyone who read the Wayne pilot I made :) I appreciate your feedback, and I love you all.
As I'm preparing to post it on AO3, I decided to make a few (admittedly small) changes to the script, primarily around Cassandra Cain, because I haven't quite fleshed her out yet.
I don't have much experience with writing Cass, so I decided to do a bit of research on her yesterday, and wouldn't you know? I fell in love. 10/10. She didn't play a huge part in the pilot, but she will have a bigger one in the second episode, and there are a few things I think can or should be added so she doesn't feel too one-note.
There wasn't anyone who told me this, by the way. (In fact, I actually got some nice comments about her so thank you.) I just had it in the back of my mind while writing, and now that Cass is getting more screen time, I'm finding that my lack of knowledge might lead to mischaracterization.
SO TO COMBAT THIS, I MADE A GUIDE FOR MYSELF ON HOW TO WRITE CASS
Is this overkill? Probably Think of it as a silly headcanon list for my version of her. And I'm posting it here because I want your feedback before it's set in stone. (I know Cass isn't written well a lot, so this is my attempt to right these horrid wrongs.)
If you're going to give criticism, please be constructive. Tell me what you like or don't like. I'm all ears. Have fun :)
Writing Cass
(Btw I still gotta read Cass’s first Batgirl run by Kelley Puckett)
Has some sass, has a lot actually
Used to be awkward in social settings. she’s better at it when she’s with people so she can match their energy but she still prefers to just dip
Speaks in short-ish sentences, trying her best tho
I WILL BE ADDING THIS INTO THE PILOT, I JUST WANT TO KNOW TO WHAT DEGREE?? OR IS IT REALLY FINE
Mostly just relies on body language though
I WILL BE ADDING THIS INTO THE PILOT TOO, ESPECIALLY WITH THE ASL SCENE (BUT IT’S NOT REPLACING THE ASL)
also yes i know her using ASL isn't canon, it just works best for the scene, it would have been written the same whether she was in it or not, it is still a cute nod to fanon tho
Steph and Cass are extremely close BUT ALSO HAVE SEPARATE LIVES (I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO STRESS THAT AND I AGREE)
Messy, low-key gross. Bad-ish hygiene but she’s good at looking put-together so only those close know this about her (this is just my headcanon)
Often forgets bigger words so she occasionally uses the wrong one, she ALSO mixes up proverbs but no one corrects her because 1: it’s cute and 2: they don’t want to discourage her from speaking with them more casually (also my headcanon)
Cass: So I pulled the door off its…*makes motion with hand*…metal books. Steph: Do you mean hinge— Cass: Metal books.
Dick: Well that was a surprise. I didn’t know The Penguin would be here. Cass, nodding: Well life gives you grapes Dick: Wut Cass: You make grape juice. Get on the same book, Nightwing
I'M ON THE FENCE ABOUT ADDING THIS ONE BECAUSE IDK LET ME KNOW PLEASE
Is a cinnamon bun AND a little shit, it’s a balancing act
Production: She’s Wayne’s darling Princess Cass: *will break your fingers*
She does appear behind the camera crew to scare them on purpose, she thinks it’s funny, she likes seeing them freak out
She is super competitive, but she's always like "Oh I'm not that competitive" *proceeds to be very competitive*
Because she isn't super confident in her writing or speaking (or just uncomfortable communicating without seeing the other person's body language) she prefers to Facetime or simply reply to texts with selfies of her reaction. It is a thing now. when you need an honest opinion about an outfit, text a photo to Cass. She will either give back a photo of a thumbs up or a photo of a grimace and some not-so-flattering emojis
Her princess persona is her public cover persona in this show, parallel to Bruce’s “Brucie” and Dick’s “born for the cameras” thing
Is surprisingly vocal (and sometimes snippy) about her distaste with things but she mostly gets a pass because her morals align best with Bruce’s
Is most snippy when her family uses methods other than violence when violence is clearly the faster option, god they're such pacifists
Tim: *trying carefully to pick a lock* Cass: Just break through the wall? Tim: We can’t do that. We’re trying not to be noticed. Cass: Wimp
Bruce: Cass, why did you have to dislocate that man’s shoulder? Cass: I put it back. Bruce: That’s not the point. Cass: Fine, I’ll dislocate it again.
Is the best fighter, none of this “oh she’s the best fighter so when people do win against her, it makes them look cooler” thing, shut tf up, she could break their bones (not important to the show ofc but I need to add this because it is important in general)
Horrible at drawing, wretched (again a headcanon but I did see someone else mention it somewhere)
Also bad at writing, refuses to study to improve out of principle (i.e. she told Babs she doesn’t need to and now she refuses to admit Babs was right)
(AND SIDE-HEADCANON IF SHE IS HORRIBLE AT WRITING AND ACTIVELY HATED STUDYING HER ALPHABET THEN WHAT IF LIKE ONE DAY SOMEONE SAYS “hey can you grab me one of these files from last week’s case, it’s under M” SHE’S LIKE “fuck you, how could you do this to me” WHILE SEARCHING FOR M OR MORE SIMPLY *throws something at them*)
That's all I have right now. If you'd like to give me any recommendations, please do. I can't promise I'll add in every single one because this show is still about the whole Batfam, not just her, but I want to do her justice, and that definitely involves more fine-tuning on my part
OKAY THAT'S ALL LOVE YOU BYE

Weight of Memories / Cassandra Cain x Gender Neutral! Sibling Reader
Tumblr media
During a patrol, Y/n gets injured and tries to hide it. But when the others find out, they try their best to not let them heal them up because they think it’s their punishment.
Word count: 2970
A/n: This was requested by anon and is set a few months later after “Shadows of the Past”. I know a few of you guys wanted to see more of Cass and Y/n so, here it is.
It was a rough night in Gotham—one of those nights where the city seemed to breathe chaos. The Bat Signal had been up, the streets swarmed with criminals trying to make their mark while the Bat-family worked in unison to keep it all in check. By the time the team returned to the Batcave, everyone was exhausted, bruised, but standing. That was the important part.
Y/n, however, wasn’t just standing—they were hiding something.
As the others dispersed to change out of their suits, grabbing water or sitting down to go over debriefs, they stayed close to the shadows, subtly leaning against the wall. They gripped their side now and then, making sure no one was paying close attention.
Their mind was racing—body aching in a way that was more than just the usual soreness from a night’s work. There was pain, sharp and insistent, running through their ribs and into their stomach. They were pretty sure something was broken, but they couldn’t let anyone know. Not now. Not when the others had been perfect tonight.
They weren’t going to ruin the victory with weakness. They deserved this pain for not being fast enough, strong enough, to stop what had happened during patrol.
Y/n sucked in a breath, clenching their jaw as they shifted, feeling a hot, wet sensation trickling from beneath their suit. The wound was bad—probably from a knife or shrapnel, they couldn’t even tell anymore—but they had to keep it hidden. The pain was… deserved.
From across the room, Cassandra noticed something was off. She always noticed. She paused mid-conversation with Damian, her gaze locking on her sibling’s posture—the way they seemed tense, holding their body awkwardly as if trying to mask the pain. Her brow furrowed, suspicion rising.
Y/n must have felt her eyes on them, because they quickly straightened up and pushed off from the wall, giving her a forced smile. “I’m fine,” they mouthed, hoping that would stop her from coming over.
Cassandra wasn’t convinced. She knew her sibling better than that. Without a word, she started moving toward them, her eyes narrowing.
“Cass, seriously,” they said, their voice strained but determined to sound casual. “I’m good. Just tired.”
She stopped in front of them, crossing her arms, her eyes flicking down to the faint trace of blood on their side that had started to seep through their suit. She didn’t need to say anything for them to know that she had caught on.
“It’s nothing,” Y/n muttered, shifting their weight uncomfortably. “I don’t need help.”
“Let me see,” Cassandra said firmly, reaching for their suit.
But they pulled back sharply, wincing at the movement. “No.”
Cassandra’s eyes widened slightly at their reaction, her concern deepening. By now, the others had noticed the exchange, and Jason, Dick, and Bruce were slowly turning their attention toward them.
“Something wrong?” Dick asked, stepping forward, his eyes flicking between Cassandra and their sibling.
“No,” Y/n snapped quickly, too quickly, gritting their teeth. “I’m fine. It’s not a big deal.”
“Not a big deal?” Jason snorted, noticing the blood now too. “Looks like you’re leaking, dude. You sure that’s normal?”
Y/n shot him a glare, their frustration boiling over. “I said I’m fine. Just leave it alone.”
Bruce stepped forward then, his face a mask of calm authority. “Let us help. You’re hurt.”
“No,” they said, more adamantly this time, their voice cracking slightly. “I— I deserve this. It’s my fault. I wasn’t fast enough. I—”
Before they could finish, their legs buckled, the strength draining from them as the pain they had been holding in finally caught up. Cassandra lunged forward, catching them before they could hit the ground, her arms wrapped around their waist to support them.
“Stay still,” she whispered, her voice soft but firm.
But Y/n struggled, trying to push her away. “No! Don’t… don’t fix it. I— I don’t deserve to be patched up. I messed up. This is my punishment.”
“Punishment?” Bruce echoed, his voice low with concern. He crouched down beside them, his hand gently gripping their arm. “What are you talking about? You don’t deserve to be in pain.”
Y/n’s breath hitched, and their eyes glazed with desperation. “I… I wasn’t good enough tonight. I let that guy get the drop on me. I should’ve been faster. I—” They clenched their fists, frustration, and guilt pouring out of them. “I should’ve done better. This… this is what I get.”
Jason moved forward too, his usual cocky demeanor softened with genuine concern. “Come on, dude, that’s not how this works. You don’t have to hurt yourself for messing up. We all screw up sometimes.”
But the more they tried to reason with them, the more Y/n pulled away, determined to refuse the help. They were too lost in their guilt, too caught up in their sense of failure.
“Stop!” they shouted, their body trembling. “Just leave me alone!”
Cassandra shook her head, tightening her grip. “No. I won’t let you do this to yourself.”
They struggled again, but this time, Bruce and Jason stepped in. Jason grabbed their legs while Bruce steadied their upper body, holding them down as gently as they could without letting them thrash. Y/n’s breathing came in short, frantic gasps, their eyes wide with panic.
“Let go!” they begged, their voice breaking. “Please… don’t fix it. I don’t… deserve it.”
Dick crouched down beside them, his face filled with empathy. “You do deserve it. You deserve to be okay. We all make mistakes out there. You’re human. And you’re part of this family. We take care of each other, no matter what.”
Y/n’s eyes flickered with emotion, their resistance weakening as the words sank in. Tears welled up in their eyes, mixing with the pain and exhaustion. “I… I failed,” they whispered, their voice barely audible now. “I wasn’t good enough.”
Cassandra gently cupped their face, forcing them to look at her. “You didn’t fail,” she said softly, her voice full of warmth. “You’re still here. That’s what matters.”
Slowly, Y/n’s body went limp in her arms, the fight draining out of them as they finally let the others help. Bruce signaled for Alfred, who had already prepared the medical kit, and they began carefully cutting away the damaged suit, revealing the wound underneath.
Y/n winced, but they didn’t resist this time. They just lay there, their chest rising and falling in uneven breaths as the weight of their guilt slowly gave way to relief. As Alfred worked to clean the wound, they let out a shaky breath, their eyes closing as the pain was finally addressed.
Cassandra didn’t let go of their hand the entire time, her grip steady and reassuring. When it was over, she sat beside them on the floor, her eyes never leaving their face.
“You’re allowed to make mistakes,” she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. “You’re allowed to get hurt. But you don’t have to carry it alone.”
Y/n opened their eyes, looking at her through the haze of exhaustion. “I just… didn’t want to disappoint you.”
Cassandra shook her head, her expression soft. “You could never disappoint me.”
And in that moment, as they lay there, bandaged and bruised but surrounded by family, they finally believed her.
————————-
As the silence settled over the Batcave, the weight of the moment began to shift. Cassandra sat on the cold floor beside her sibling, her hand still gently gripping theirs, reassuring, unyielding. The rest of the family hovered close, giving space but remaining watchful. No one moved until they were certain the immediate danger had passed.
Y/n was still breathing heavily, though the panic in their eyes had started to dim. Alfred’s medical work was, as always, precise and efficient, but there was no ignoring the depth of the injury. Broken ribs, a nasty gash, bruises spreading across their side—it had taken a toll. And yet, even as their body began to relax, the emotional turmoil still simmered beneath the surface.
“You’re okay now,” Dick said quietly, kneeling beside Cassandra, his voice soft but firm. “You’re safe. You don’t have to carry this on your own.”
Y/n blinked slowly, fighting to keep their eyes open. Exhaustion had hit hard now that the adrenaline was wearing off. Their mind was still caught in that familiar loop of guilt, doubt, and self-criticism, but the fierce resistance had ebbed. For now, at least.
“I… I wasn’t fast enough,” they mumbled, their voice hoarse, almost a whisper. “I messed up out there.”
Jason, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, spoke up in his usual blunt tone, though there was an unmistakable note of empathy in his voice. “You didn’t mess up any worse than the rest of us do on a nightly basis. Trust me, I’ve gotten my ass handed to me more times than I can count, and I’m still standing. You’re not perfect, none of us are.”
Bruce stepped forward, his cape brushing lightly against the floor as he knelt beside them. His face was calm, and composed, but there was a gentleness in his eyes that only appeared in moments like this—moments when his family needed him. “The only failure would have been not coming back,” he said quietly. “You’re here. That’s what matters.”
Y/n let out a shaky breath, their gaze flickering between the faces of the people who had become their family. They had spent so long feeling like they had to prove themselves, to live up to an impossible standard, especially with their past. It was like a ghost that haunted them—David Cain’s voice in their head, telling them they had to be flawless, that anything less was a failure. That voice had followed them, even after his death, whispering in the dark corners of their mind.
“But I’m supposed to be better,” they muttered, the words spilling out before they could stop them. “I’m supposed to be… stronger. I’m supposed to protect people. And tonight, I—”
Cassandra squeezed their hand tighter, cutting them off before they could spiral any further. “You are strong,” she said firmly, her voice filled with an intensity that left no room for doubt. “You do protect people. You protected me more times than I can count. But you also need to let us protect you.”
Y/n’s lips quivered, the weight of those words sinking in slowly. It was something they had never allowed themselves to accept before. Vulnerability felt like a betrayal of everything they had been trained to believe. But here, surrounded by people who saw them as more than just a weapon, they felt a glimmer of something new—something like understanding.
“I… I didn’t want to drag you all down with me,” Y/n admitted, their voice barely above a whisper. “I thought if I handled it myself… if I just pushed through… it wouldn’t be anyone else’s problem.”
Bruce’s hand rested lightly on their shoulder. “You’re not a burden to any of us,” he said, his voice low and filled with that quiet authority he carried. “You’re part of this family. And families don’t leave each other behind. Not ever.”
Y/n swallowed hard, tears welling up in their eyes, though they blinked them away quickly. “I don’t… I don’t know how to just let go of that guilt,” they admitted. “It’s always been there like I have to earn my place here. Like I have to keep proving that I belong.”
Jason, uncharacteristically serious, sighed and uncrossed his arms. “Look, I get it. More than you know. But trying to deal with all that alone? That’s how you burn out. You’ve already earned your place. You don’t have to keep fighting ghosts. We’ve all got your back, whether you like it or not.”
Dick nodded in agreement. “You belong here. With us. You’re not alone in this, and you never will be.”
Y/n took a shaky breath, the tension slowly releasing from their muscles as they finally allowed themselves to believe what they were hearing. It wasn’t easy—it would never be easy—but the constant need to carry everything on their shoulders was starting to feel less impossible. Surrounded by these people, this family, the ghosts of David Cain’s teachings didn’t seem quite as overwhelming.
Cassandra could feel the shift in them, the subtle change in their posture, the way their breathing became less labored, the way their grip on her hand softened. They weren’t okay, not entirely, but they were starting to believe they could be.
“You’re going to be okay,” she whispered, her voice filled with a kind of tenderness only she could offer. “We’re going to make sure of that.”
Y/n closed their eyes for a moment, exhaling a breath they didn’t realize they had been holding. When they opened their eyes again, they looked at Cassandra, then at the rest of their family, and nodded. It wasn’t a full acceptance yet, but it was a start.
“Okay,” they whispered, the faintest smile tugging at the corner of their lips. “I’ll try.”
Cassandra gave them a soft smile in return, leaning her head against theirs for just a moment, a silent promise that she wouldn’t leave them to face this alone. None of them would.
The Batcave hummed around them, its quiet, mechanical sounds a stark contrast to the storm of emotions that had just passed. The night had been rough, but they had made it through. Together.
And for the first time in a long while, hey allowed themselves to believe that they truly belonged in this family—imperfections, mistakes, and all.
Bonus chapter:
It had been weeks since the night Y/n was injured. Weeks of recovery, both physical and emotional. The Batfamily had been there every step of the way, helping them heal in more ways than one. But some things didn’t heal as easily as wounds.
One morning, Y/n woke up with a dull ache in their chest—one that wasn’t from the injuries but from something deeper, something harder to explain. They had been thinking about him again—David Cain, the man who had raised them, trained them, broken them. The man they had killed.
It wasn’t guilt, not anymore. That had faded with time. It was… something else. A mix of anger, regret, confusion, and, oddly, an empty kind of relief.
The grave was quiet when they arrived, the headstone simple and unadorned. The cemetery was far outside Gotham, away from the noise and chaos. No one visited Cain’s grave; no one but them.
Cassandra had come with them this time. She stood a few steps behind, giving them space but close enough that they could feel her presence. It was comforting in its way, knowing that she was there, even if they didn’t need to say anything.
For a long while, Y/n just stood there, staring at the headstone, their hands shoved deep in their jacket pockets. The wind was cold, rustling the leaves around them, but the silence was heavier than the chill in the air.
“I didn’t think I’d come back here,” they said quietly, their voice almost lost in the wind. “I thought once I killed him, I’d feel… free. But now, I just feel…” They trailed off, unsure how to put the weight in their chest into words.
Cassandra didn’t speak, but she moved a little closer, her footsteps soft on the grass. She knew how hard it was for them to confront this, but she also knew they needed to.
“It’s strange,” they continued, still staring at the grave. “He’s gone. He’s been gone for a while now, but sometimes it feels like he’s still here, still inside my head.” They glanced down at their hands, clenching them into fists. “All those years of training, of being told that pain was the only way to get stronger… it doesn’t just go away.”
Cassandra’s expression softened. She had felt the same way about their father, though her path had been different. They both carried the scars of his influence, even though they had chosen their paths long ago.
“You didn’t have to kill him,” she said after a moment, her voice gentle but firm. “But you did. And now you’re here.”
Y/n nodded slowly. “I know. And I thought I’d be okay with that. But… part of me still hates him. And part of me hates that he made me hate him.”
The wind blew harder, and they pulled their jacket tighter around themselves. “It’s like… there’s this hole where something should be. I don’t know if it’s closure or peace or something else, but whatever it is, I haven’t found it.”
Cassandra stepped closer, reaching out to place a hand on their shoulder. “It doesn’t go away,” she said quietly. “But it gets quieter. The hate. The anger. You learn how to live with it.”
Y/n closed their eyes for a moment, taking in her words. She always had a way of understanding things without needing to say much. And in that moment, her presence was enough.
When Y/n opened their eyes again, they glanced at the grave one more time before turning away. “I don’t know if I’ll ever forgive him,” they admitted softly. “But I think… I can move on.”
Cassandra gave a small nod, her hand still resting on their shoulder as they both turned to leave. “That’s enough.”
As they walked back toward the Batcycle, the weight in their chest felt a little lighter. It wasn’t gone, and it probably never would be, but for the first time in a long while, they didn’t feel like it was dragging them down. Y/n wasn’t alone in this—not anymore.
And maybe that was the first step toward healing.

Mutual #1: Here's my hot take on all the issues with modern Batman and how writers who rely on him being Batgod do a disservice not only to Bruce Wayne but all the children he's taken in and nurtured throughout the years
Mutual #2: I wonder if Cass ever gets jealous she can't join in on tickle fights or basic sibling scraps because her training has made her so numb she has no reaction to pain. She can never be the sibling they gang up on, only join in on inflicting pain. A reminder of what she was meant to be and in some ways will never escape.
