100%. But let me add to this.

Not only was Hannah the only, or perhaps last, person that Stephen ever loved, I think it was her death that drove him to become the monster we knew him as. After her he didn't let anyone in emotionally, he became obsessed with conquering death, the thing that took her from him, and he was also low-key dead inside. But also, and I think this may be a hot take (no it's not lol he's the only one who would think so) I think she was wrong for him. Hannah seemed... interesting. Fun. But not a challenge. Not a partner. Not like Maddie.

Stephen and the team took the UTMOST pains to make sure Caspian had the same life, experienced the same things, so that he would turn out the same as Stephen-- and yet they failed. Stephen was so convinced that it was his past his pain and his trauma that was key to his "genius". But I think he was dead wrong. He and Caspian were already geniuses by their genetics. What Phinneas/Stephen's life experiences did was break him, emotionally cripple him, and destroy what little empathy and morality he had left. That wasn't genius. If anything, it was those experiences that kept him from being the best he could be-- unlike Caspian.

But where did that change? Everything for 18 years followe that path. They were about to kill that poor girl pretending to be Hannah just so Caspian could be as equally traumatized as his predecessor. And that may have been the final straw that would have forged him into Stephen 2.0, but they weren't counting on Maddie.

I think one THE fundamental difference between Holstrom and Caspian was love. The love of Cary, Caspian's fake dad who did all he could to give his fake son a terrible childhood and yet he did love him, and most importantly the love of Maddie and her family.

During his interrogation with Yair, Caspian talked alot about how important the core of a person was. A core memory especially. How without this core, a person wasn't them. Yair kept asking for Caspian to show his, which he wouldn't obviously. Caspian seemed to claim he didn't even know who he was, but I think that was just a convenient obfuscation. Of course we know he had a core. If simply for no other reason that by that point we knew well and good that he WASN'T Holstrom, so whatever that core was, it was something Stephen didn't have. I am so thoroughly convinced that Caspian's core was Maddie, his feelings for Maddie, that I just kept waiting all scene for them to say it. But that might just be another way he's like Holstrom-- not admiting to impact the woman he loves had on him.

With Hannah, that impact came from loss. With Maddie, that impact came from presence. Maybe if Hannah hadn't died Holstrom wouldn't have become the monster he did, but I still don't think she could have been the one to help him reach his full potential. From what we were shown of both the original Hannah and the actress playing Hannah, imo she wasn't a match for him anyways. Not to say she was shallow, but certainly it seemed to me their relationship was based on attraction and simple companionship more than anything. Caspian was lonely, and simply being shown interest was a game changer. No doubt Holstrom was lonely too. Not just because of the parents or the silly name, but because their intellect always set them apart and made them different.

Hannah never seemed to bridge that gap for me. Maybe she was the favored woman let into heaven, but that doesn't mean she belonged there. Maddie presented a challenge to that intelect with her own intelligence and emotional understanding that Caspian desperately needed and that I don't believe Stephen ever got. It's why Caspian could solve the flaw so easily when Stephen never could. Maddie is the one who taught Caspian that life was about other people. In the flashbacks, to me, Hannah and Holstrom seemed to have a relationship of tolerating and patronizing. At one point it almost felt like she was his pet, like a prized gerbil he kept around to talk to even though he never expected it to understand. He still loved her, but not as an equal. But then you had Maddie, who torn down the veil herself entered Caspian's solitary sanctum, his holy of holies, and basically emotionally slapped him in the face and said "Hey! You're not alone."

And that's what changed him. That's what made Caspian, Caspian. Maddie was his core, and she made him who he was. Just like loving and losing Hannah made Holstrom, Holstrom.

Deep down he and Caspian really were the same.

They were both defined by the woman they loved.

let’s also take a look at the alias chosen for rachel: hannah. the name of stephens dead girlfriend, and a name meaning “grace” or favored by god. biblically, hannah is the only woman in the old testament to have ever been allowed in gods house. to me, this indicates that the only woman stephen holstrom truly loved has been dead for years. supported further by rachel, who took the name, also being the name of one of jacobs two wives and the one who he favored, perhaps indicating that Stephen favors a dead teenager over Renee, the only other person we see him pictured with in an intimate context and the only woman in his inner circle left.

In this investigation we explore BP’s colonial history and the supply chain of the BTC pipeline. We also delve into the social licences that facilitate BP’s operations abroad. Social licences are a commercial and metaphorical concept describing corporations' process of acquiring public approval as an added layer of legitimacy for their ongoing profit-driven, colonial business practices. Focusing on the BTC pipeline reveals how Zionist settler-colonialism is central to the continued extraction of oil in the Middle East, and global uneven accumulation, where wealth is concentrated in the Global North. The liberation of Palestine and regional anti-Zionist resistance must therefore be central to the larger struggle against capitalism and for a just transition. Look idk what the new Narnia tv show will bring, and I can absolutely see it improving upon the second and third films… but the first movie was truly something special.

The vision of the director, the wonderful young core cast, the score, the visual and practical effects, the truly elegant cgi, all really bringing the original story to life in the most beautiful way.

I was just as captivated by the film after not having watched it in some 10-15 years, as I was the first time I watched it.

The war scene???? THE WAR SCENE. THE MUSIC. THE BUILD UP. THE TENSION. I CANT.

The way it allows for the quiet moments to enriched the big moments. Peter and Aslan talking for the first time? Peter looking to Oreius “are you with me?” “To the death”???

Even Prince Caspian was such an engaging film, even if it did deviate from the book, bc the cast was so good and the story followed on so well from the first. The understanding of the script writer’s that the characters were now adults flung back into young bodies and their skill level, their mannerisms, their confidence and countenance would all be drastically changed from the first film, and the cast do a wonderful job of projecting that. And obv Ben Barnes was a fantastic addition.

It’s the way that Susan and Edmund had very minimal roles in the first film’s war and leaned heavily on Peter to lead the charge. By the same token, Peter took most of the responsibility upon himself. Susan used one arrow to kill in the first film. Whereas Peter’s first kill was kind of incidental. Edmund used his strategic abilities for the first time in going for the Witch’s ice sceptre.

Cut to Prince Caspian.

Edmund is absolutely and clearly the strategist between the two. He’s the negotiator. The master manipulator. The diplomat. And proves to everyone involved he is a more than capable swordsman - we don’t need to see Peter fight before he needs to. We need everyone to mentally catch up to where Edmund is in his skills. Then Peter leads as he always does at the front of the action. He duels Miraz. He proves his mettle once more.

Then Susan, while initially paired up once more with Lucy, goes with them in the initial raid on Miraz’s castle to fight, demonstrating her expert archery and combat skills. She solos about 7 or 8 mounted soldiers from the ground with her bow. She leads the archers before entering the battlefield herself.

It’s the DEVELOPMENT.

And while Lucy is not involved in the fighting, it’s the way she speaks against the stubbornness of her elder siblings so openly. Who holds firm to her beliefs even when everyone else doesn���t. She doesn’t run away and cry anymore. This is a Lucy who knows how to counsel her fellow kings and Queen.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third film, is where it falls apart story wise, in direction, and in vision - it forgets where the characters were previously. Like I hate when Caspian and Edmund are duelling on the Dawn Treader, and they end in a draw and Caspian says the line “you’ve improved, my friend” “I suppose I have” because BRO. Edmund is a skilled swordsman and several hundred years Caspian’s senior. While he may be in a younger body that doesn’t show the experience, and he doesn’t have opportunities to practice it, he has several wars and combat engagements under his belt and only a year since his previous visit to Narnia. That doesn’t go away. A better line would’ve been “the rust is starting to shed, my friend” “I’m finally warmed up” would’ve been a far less condescending line, even if sweet baby boi Caspian would never mean it that way.

so I definitely would look forward to how the show might improve upon it IF it gets that far.

Each of the seven Narnia books has a moral message or theme at its foundation. Every major beat of the story is centered on and refers back to this theme, so if you take away or alter the theme, you alter the entire foundation of the story. Obviously these themes/messages align with Christian principles because this is Lewis we’re talking about. So, my interpretations of the themes are the following:

 Magician’s Nephew is about taking responsibilities for your actions, LWW is about being selfless but also about forgiveness, Horse and His Boy is about the golden rule, Prince Caspian is about belief without proof, Voyage is about conquering temptation/evil within yourself, and Silver Chair is about trusting in God’s plan even when it doesn’t make sense, and Last Battle is about hope and doing what you think is good even when it seems hopeless. 

Which I think is one of the reasons the Voyage movie falls flat when compared to the other two. One explanation is that it changes many things from the book, but Prince Caspian does that too. Both movies make drastic changes from their source material, but Prince Caspian doesn’t feel (at least to me) as drastically changed as Voyage, because Voyage’s changes go down to the very foundation of the book’s theme. Lewis is saying that there is ‘evil’ in everyone that we all have to repeatedly overcome while the movie is saying that evil is outside of us and that we can overcome it once and be done with it, which drastically changes the central theme of the story. Prince Caspian on the other hand adds a lot of the story but all of the changes stay true to the central theme of belief without proof (or they correct some of Lewis’ inconsistencies). You can change the details all you want for the most part, but the core theme of the story has to remain the same otherwise it’s just not the same story so it won’t feel the same.

So there’s this really big essay I want to write detailing all the changes and how they alter the theme or go along with the theme etc.

No one has the Rabbit miraculous

I think Ven would suit the Fox Miraculous. His work for Fable of hiding/changing the truth would suit it well. Naturally, the illusion power would go with Perix, however, I like to think that, somehow, it *was* Perixs and when she "got mirrored" she lost it and it landed in Vens possession somehow. Perix would taunt Ven into "unlocking the secrets of the miraculous" so he can see Fengari again and uses the power to hide the Skulk on his house. He'd later use it to help hide the base under the Aether Portal.

Caspian would be good for the Pig miraculous. At his core, Caspian is about memory and not being forgotten - thus why he ascends to be the Patron of Memory - so I like to think that having the ability to show someone's greatest desire would fit him, especially in a world where everyone is forgetting things and having their memories erased left and right. And by showing and seeing people's greatest desire, I think it could help with a lot of questions about people's motives and character throughout the series.

I had a long debate with myself on which miraculous to give Ocie, but I settled on Tiger. The tiger miraculous symbolises: willpower, courage, and personal strength , so I think that fits Ocie well. One thing I love about Ocies character is that she's actually really powerful and strong - a true bad bitch. I don't see her using the 'clout' a lot, only the few times where it was necessary in battle, but even then I think she would be aware of just how much power that has and the damage she could to with it and she would concider when and where to use it. (Having said that I can also absolutely see her using it to do something like deforestation so...) I also think itd be neat if, when in camouflage mode, the panjas bracelets centre piece was a blue gem that looked almost similar to a heart of the sea.

I think Momboo would be good for a couple of them (Peacock or Turtle especially), but with those already assigned and reading up on the Dog miraculous I think that would suit her. The dog is a symbol of guidance, protection and love, which I think is very Momboo. I also don't see Momboo as a very "front lines" fighter and the dog miraculous isn't a strong miraculous for fighting - even throughout the miraculous series, we don't see it being strongly used as an offence tactic. So I think this is a good miraculous for Momboo.

The snake miraculous is about Intuition, second chances, rebirth, patience, and healing... I feel like Wolf is the obvious choice based off of that alone. I'm very cautious with who to give the snake miraculous to as it is one of - if not the most - powerful miraculous and it involves time travel to a degree, however, like the others, I think Wolf would be wise to use it, only when complete necessary and would understand the stakes at hand. I see them using the strategy it would take to use a power like this, very similar to how Luka uses strategy and even trial and error to use this power wisely.

That's what I have so far, i still have the: Bee, Butterfly, Monkey, Dragon, Rooster, Horse, and Mouse to go, but im not sure who would go well with them,

Lilith’s ability to wield magic emerged when she was just 4 years old

She was taken to Olivanders to get her wand for her 5th birthday

Lilith’s early ability to wield magic caused her family to fawn over her

Lilith was indoctrinated into the world of the Dark Arts as soon as she got a good handle of her wand, which was about 2 years after she first got it

She was first introduced to ‘Imperio’ at 8 years old, since she thought it was fun at first, not fully understanding the weight to using the spells

When she turned 10, her mother tried to get her to use the Cruciatus Curse, which after hearing the screams of the victims, Lilith out right refused to do

Because of her refusal, her parents cut off her chance to attend Hogwarts as a first year until she cast the curse

They made an excuse to the headmaster about her poor health and her having to be bedridden in St. Mungo’s

Lilith tried to push off casting the curse for as long as possible, but her procrastination only caused her parents to get angrier

Lilith’s father got physically and psychologically violent with her, threatening to beat her and even cast the Cruciatus Curse on her

He did end up following through in his threats, beating her to various degrees of severity and casting the Cruciatus Curse on her about once to twice a week depending on her “behavior”

Lilith, broken down to the point of desperation, finally gave in and cast the Cruciatus Curse on an innocent muggle at the age of 15, just a few months before school was set to start

She felt horrible about casting it, becoming numb with guilt, she tried to find ways to cope

She first started with smoking, that helped for a little while but eventually it stopped working for her

She then started to put out her cigarettes on her arms as well as taking a blade to her arms and thighs, which helped her feel at least something other than the empty nothingness

Ever since she first cast the Cruciatus Curse, Lilith became a bit of a recluse. She sat alone on the Hogwarts Express and barely talked to anyone once she was sorted into Slytherin, only managing to stomach talking with Imelda, Sebastian and Ominis

She first couldn’t stand Imelda or Sebastian upon first meeting them

Imelda because of her arrogance and cockiness

Sebastian because of his interest in the Dark Arts

Lilith hated the fact that she was sorted into Slytherin because of its reputation for producing Dark Wizards

When she met Ominis, she was at first hesitant to talk to him after he mentioned his relation to Salazar Slytherin

Ominis, sensing her worry, reassured her that he wants nothing to do with Dark Arts, which definitely put Lilith’s worries at ease

Lilith was often bullied for being a recluse, even by her own siblings that where still in school

Lilith formed a close bond with Ominis, so close in fact that he showed her the Undercroft, much to Sebastian’s chagrin since Ominis got annoyed with him after showing Elijah the Undercroft

The two of them would have long, deep conversations in the Undercroft, really opening up to each other and bonding over their traumas with their family’s obsession with Pure Blood status

Lilith even opened up about her self harm

Ever since she found an outlet to let out all her grief and a shoulder to cry on, she started to slowly wean off of self harming

Fun facts

Lilith had a very special disdain towards Sebastian before learning about Anne. She could understand his desperation and could take pity on him, but still didn’t like his use of Dark Arts and eagerly tried to push him away from it.

Lilith was actually very happy that Ominis was blind, since he couldn’t see her bruises or scars. She was very ashamed of them as well as her image

When the idea of marriage became apparent with Ominis and Lilith, the two of them wanted to take each other’s last name to remove themselves from their family and all the trauma connected to them. Ominis made the final decision to keep the Gaunt name for Lilith, and also he liked the idea of naming one of their daughters after Noctua.

The first time Lilith and Ominis truly got “intimate”, was when Ominis asked to feel Lilith’s features since he was curious what she looked like. This caused Ominis to feel Lilith’s scars for the first time

Hap birth to one of my favourite OCs ever, Seeker/Caspian! (and the only one with an actual assigned birthday so I figured I'd post something for the occasion)

This lad was born in Wildstar (RIP) a number of years ago, and to my continued astonishment and delight has subsequently made his way into other games right alongside me: Fallout 4, SWTOR, Secret World, ESO, and most recently Baldur's Gate; and if all feels right he's my top pick to be my newest Dragon Age protagonist in a few days.

While Seeker's certainly surprised me with how he adapts to each new setting (SWTOR Cas would be a little horrified by how Cypher's turned out, and Seeker was NEVER supposed to have pointy ears and then BG3 happened), he's always managed to maintain some key his core traits - logic, defiance, a need for answers and a knack for cracking codes, and always a refusal to allow any higher power to dictate his own destiny. Not to mention getting his left hand fucked up in every single universe, because his player said so.

Anyway, I adore this lad, and I'm looking forward to many more years of Seeker shenanigans!
