Danny Phantom Writing Prompt: The Lack of a Hero Complex
Once Danny publicly shames Vlad into returning the status quo of Amity Park, Danny also stops ghost fighting.
The Human Trio and Vlad confront Danny about his lack of action. The Human Trio finally gets a taste of the sleep deprivation Danny experienced when he didn't want to burden them from their schedules while the property damage continued to tarnish Vlad's public reputation. Danny just laughs.
Sam, completely livid at the lack of reaction: Who’s going to protect the town, Danny?
Danny gets up from the couch and looks directly into Vlad's eyes: Yeah, Vlad, how do you plan on protecting your town?
Danny lightly chuckles while he goes down to the lab where the Fenton Parents were working. He was just gonna play on the family computer while his Dad would boast about their latest idea.
The human trio:

Vlad:

When the ghosts who come to directly harass Danny, he decides he just needs to be completely honest with each of them.
Danny: Listen, I'll admit I kinda had fun with the bantering, but I want to focus on better things now. I was never really interested in any of you.
The Ghosts:

The results?
Vlad has to set up legit ghost detectors all over the city and properly hire the Fentons for protection. Vlad hoped that the hiring would gain him favor from Maddie, but he finally got to see how she really was compared to his idealized version. Their constant public damages made Vlad's reputation even more tarnished, and their lack of change despite him personally talking to them about it makes him grow equal resentment towards both of them. It gets to the point where Vlad just sets up the same ecto repellent he uses to keep ghosts from escaping his portal back in Winsconsin. The extra paperwork he has to do now governing is not worth the mess he caused. Political power wasn't as worth it as he thought it would be.
The Human Trio gave Danny the cold shoulder for a while, but that just gave him some well needed alone time to raise his grades. He even finally got to join the astronomy club like he planned before the portal accident. They were a very chill group and welcomed him to sit with them at lunch, so he was never alone. Dash tried to start their usual routine, but that was immediately hauled by the club leader.
Dash wasn't clever enough to figure out how to respond to being called 'Pussy Lips' by a girl, so he just kinda sulked away.
Dash will say the occasional snarky comment, but he never bring himself to get too close to Danny after a club member told Danny to tell Dash and the other football players they could take turns sucking him off after their club meeting. Dash just wasn't clever enough to get things back to normal.
Though the club members weren't A-listers, they weren't at the bottom, so Danny social life became better.
The Human Trio tried to continue on like before, but they were soon caught ghost hunting by the Fentons. There was no punishment, just overactive excitement, seeing they were finally interested in Ghost Hunting. Now, having to join the Fentons whenever there was a ghost detected, the fun of it is zapped away for them, making the tiredness not worth it anymore. The three eventually apologized to Danny, which he accepts, and the group finally accepts the new changes.
There are many things that can upset a ghost, but the universal act that can anger any core is being ignored. Even with the ecto repellent, the stronger ghosts manage to get through and try to get Danny's attention. The boy always just texts Vlad about how he sucks at his job and to take care of the disruption. The ghost eventually pick up that their violent outburst aren't working, so it gets to the point that they try to get his attention another way.
They tried to coax him with things they believed he liked. It is comparable to how Hyper Cat-lovers try to get a shy cat to love them.
Lunch Lady offers him a freshly made meal when he's low on money one day. He thanks her but says he had a big breakfast.
Ember tries to act like their best friends in front of the A-listers, so Danny will become more popular at school. He greets her but continues on his stroll like she was a typical citizen.
Technus offers to give Danny the answer key to all the tests for his classes, but he denies this offer instantly. He'll never cheat on a test ever again.
It got to the point that Skulker said he would drop the promise of getting Danny's pelt if he just let him see his ghostly form. Creeped out, Danny just backed away. He was thankful Valerie was close by.
Box Ghost actually got somewhere when he offered a three-dimensional solar system model. It was in a box he had, so Box Ghost offered it to Danny. He accepted it as the one in the club was showing its age.
This seemed to make these random ghost visits even more frequent. Danny guessed Box Ghost bragged about his 'accomplishment'.
Basically, the ghosts' obsession to defeat Danny changes to them wanting his attention. Vlad’s obsession becomes solely focused on Danny as he just finds Maddie and Jack so annoying now. Like, Vlad just wants to get custody of Danny and get the hell out of Amity Park. He doesn't even want to kill the Fentons now out of fear that they will become ghosts.
After the Ember incident, the A-listers kept trying to buddy up to him. However, Danny learned how they really were, so he just treated them the way he treated ghosts. Now, it seemed they were just as desperate.
Danny will turn into Phantom only when it's necessary, that or he's in the mood to fly. The downside to this change is that whenever he does transform, he always has an entourage of attention-starved ghosts following behind him. He can't even imagine how things would be if he went to the Ghost Zone.

Are you willing to draw some OCs? I'm still on the fence drawing it myself, but I'd love to see some on else's take on what the Astronomy Club members would look like in my DP prompt.
Either it be Danny and the club members hanging out during a meeting, or they could all be out enjoying a Star Party together.
A happy Danny is the best Danny, I'd say.
Meanwhile, in the background, the Human Trio are doing their best to catch blob ghosts by themselves.

Okay so, I want to practice making comics by doing some lil’ Danny Phantom shorts or strips, does anyone have any ideas for very short stories, scenarios or scenes from their fanfics they’d like to seen drawn? Please , I’m terrible at thinking up short form stories and I just want to focus on the drawing comics aspect right now not my writing.
Tumblr media
Of course any AUs or fanfics suggested will be fully credited and linked along with the OG author, or if you just came up with an random scene I’ll credit you just the same. 🙏❤️👻

DP × DC but it's a tired and burnt out Danny that makes landfall in Gotham, in this AU Danny is a halfa but it is his sister that plays the role he does in Canon and he only got his powers via ectoplasm contamination. He got burnt out acting as his sisters occasionally sidekick and her alibi in regards to their parents, so after he finally graduated from Casper High he opted to find himself while Jazz joined the Justice League.
So here we have a severely overtired and burnt out Daniel Fenton working at a local Lexbucks Coffee Shop when out of the blue he gets involved in the usual Gotham drama that results in a drive-by shooting wherein Danny gets shot. Danny, being a Halfa, gets up despite having been visibly shot in locations that would be fatal to anyone else but for him it's nothing and he goes back to work.
So begins the interest in Gotham's newest criptid; The Undead Barrista.
👀👀👀
(Lmk if you'd like to read this on my A03, and/or a version from his coworkers POV!) Ok so I did a fic!
Length: short boi. Save about 10-15 minutes.
Summary: see ask above. PLUS Danny sasses Gotham's Rogues Gallery into submission and finds out he really wasn't as useless as he felt.
Danny was second; he was the second child. The second smartest child. The second best as dealing with people. The second one to DIE and get superpowers.
At first, it was exciting! Phantom and Wraith, superhero duo of Amity Park! But Jazz- or Wraith, when she was in ghost form- had the ability to make people feel safe. To calm down situations before they ever started.
Danny had the ability to tear enemies to shreds, destroy infrastructure, and scare people.
Even Sam and Tucker agreed, although not in so many words. They didn't need to; after Dan, after they knew what he'd probably become, things really changed. He was watched, less to make sure he was safe, and more to make sure he didn't become Dan.
When he started sympathizing with that Fruitloop, Vlad, he knew something had to change.
So he flew up, up, into Earth's orbit, so he could look at the planet below. He didn't know how long he stayed there, but when he saw the sun set over the Himalayas, he felt something in him... settle, somehow. And he came to the realization he needed to leave.
It wasn't their fault- his sister, Sam, Tucker. He was the worse liar, so their parents suspected him of everything. He dealt with ghosts better than people, so Wraith was more trusted. As they aged, and Wraith looked the same but older and Phantom started looking like Dan- well. It wasn't the people of Amity Park's fault, either. Besieged by monsters, who would want to rely on one?
He got his things and left. He left a note saying he needed a fresh start, and then took off. He didn't leave the name of the city he was moving to. He didn't know.
That was how he became a barista at a Lexbucks in Gotham with a tiny loft apartment. And for the first time since he was 15, he was happy. Really, truly happy. He made friends in an astronomy club, and got together every other Friday withe people to watch old movies.
He was about to start a management program at Lexbucks. He would be 'needed' by Clockwork every Monday for an unknown amount of time (it was hard to tell time when CW paised as needed. Sometimes Monday lasted weeks, if he thought it was warranted.)
Clockwork being Clockwork, that sometimes meant he needed to solve some ghost issue, or fix a paradox, or come over for dinner, or take a vacation. (Was there a portal in his closet? Yes. Yes there was.)
He saw Frostbite once a week too, Gotham being closer to the Far Frozen, and was learning Greek- both ancient and modern- from Pandora.
He was finally going to ask out Eduardo from the bookstore across the street today.
That meant, of course, he was shot right outside his apartment. Danny left for work around 3 AM; his apartment was pretty close to the edge of Crime Alley, he was the store opener and they started serving customers at 4 AM. A match made in hell.
He heard the gunshots before he felt them, and reflexively turned invisible to change into Phantom. The drive by shooting ended as quickly as it began, leaving Danny to curse and change his shirt. Dammit.
Ah well. Gotta love Tuesdays, right?
Next Tuesday was when Condiment Man walked into the Lexbucks. Probably to try and rob it, but it was difficult to understand over all the giggling from his regulars.
"Bring Gotham to-"
"Sir, this is a Lexbucks. Please just order your coffee, tea, other drink, or something to eat."
Condiment Man gaped for a moment. "I- I don't want coffee. I want villainy."
He nodded. "Fair. But this is a Lexbucks. No villainy, just coffee, tea, sodas, food. No evil available except the evil inherent in corporations."
"I. Um. Ok?"
After a moment, Danny cleared his throat. "So about your order?"
"Um. Well. Can I order you to join me in my quest to bring Gotham to its knees?" He asked nervously.
"Kinky." He said, and Condiment Man sputtered. "But no." His calm demeanor changed in the blink of an eye. "Get your hand off the trigger for that mustard right now, or you'll be cleaning every inch of this place with a toothbrush until it sparkles!"
Condiment Man yelped and left. The locals- regulars and newbies- started laughing. He was pretty sure somebody started crying. His tips were glorious.
Maybe Tuesdays weren't so bad after all.
XxXxXx
"I got a hit on Danny!"
Jazz spun around. "Really? You're sure, Tuck?"
"About 50%, the video is pretty grainy. But you tell me somebody else who deescalates villains with sass."
"Where?"
"That's the problem. They were using a VPN. It's somewhere in the US, probably Gotham, Metropolis, or League City- Gotham Rogues get around sometimes."
Jazz's face started to fall. "Tucker, thank you, but- it's been 5 years. Are we sure his face didn't totally change? I mean, remember Vlad's before and after?"
He sighed heavily. "Jazz, we failed him. I failed my best friend. I missed that he was hurting for 3 years before he ran. No matter what that note said, I was probably part of the problem. Give up on him of you want. But I'm gonna keep looking."
God, those notes had been like kicks in the teeth. If it was Vlad, he'd say it was orchestrated. But it was Danny. He very much did not blame them. He didn't want to go. And what was carefully not said, but pieced together when they compared the note left for him, Sam, Jazz, and the elder Fentons was they were the biggest reason he left.
XxXxXx
"I, the Baffler, will bring chaos and confusion to Gotham's streets with your assistance, Undead Coffee Person!"
That was, oddly enough, better than Inviso-Bill. Still. "Hey man, this is a Lexbucks. And I have a name."
He seemed delighted. "Wonderful! What is your villain name?"
"No, no, no villain name. I'm not a villain. Just a barista. My name's Jack. What's your order?"
The baffler seemed. Well. Baffled. "But aren't you going to join me in my life of crime?"
Danny sighed heavily. "Dude. I just wanna pay my bills. Coffee, tea, what do you want?"
"You can pay your bills with crime!"
The Baffler seemed so honestly pleased it was hard to get angry. Just a big guy in a dumb costume, and Ancients he missed his dad. But then he shot the cash register. "See? Crime!"
Danny snarled and, quick as a blink, The Baffler's hamds were frozen to the counter. "You have ice powers?!"
"And you have dumbass powers, you knockoff Riddler. I'm calling the cops."
XxXxXx
"You must be truly desperate to come to me for help," Vlad said with amusement plain on his face.
Sam narrowed her eyes, and Tucker scowled. "Yeah, well, we need untraceable cash, and you're the kind of guy to keep that on hand."
"And why do you need it?"
Sam grit her teeth, but replied, "let's just say if we find what we're looking for, the number of halfas might be back up to 4."
His eyes flashed brightly. "Well, then. How much do you need?"
XxXxXx
"Together, we will bring Gotham into the next ice age!" Mr. Freeze roared.
Danny narrowed his eyes. "Doctor, this is a Lexbucks. What do you want to order?"
"You, too have powers of ice! Together, we can bring Gotham into the cold!"
He sighed. "Ok. So frozen. Small, medium, or large?"
"I- I am ordering destruction, not coffee!"
Danny pointed to the menu. "Do you see destruction on the menu here? No. No, you don't. Your order?"
He gaped. "Chai latte? Mocha cappuccino? You seem like a smoothie kind of guy, want one of those?"
Mr. Freeze cleared his throat. "What kind of smoothies do you have?"
XxXxXx
"Are you seriously going behind my back with Plasmius?"
Wraith stood, arms crossed with a scowl. "Oh back off, you're nowhere near as scary as Phantom. Or even Skulker." He snapped.
Batman cleared his throat. "I'm told you have information about an incredibly dangerous illegal meta in Gotham?"
Sam shook her head. "I wish I could say I couldn't believe this. He's your brother."
Jazz swallowed. "You don't even know for sure if this is Phantom. This could be a legitimate threat."
"Every time I start to wonder why he left, all I have to do is remind myself about-"
"Sam."
"He's our best friend, Tucker! And she just might've gotten him thrown into Arkham, because Batman doesn't believe in rehabilitation!"
And another argument began.
XxXxXx
"I'm so sorry, Jack. I really like you, I do! It's just..." Eduardo trailed off, shaking underneath Danny's jacket.
"It's ok. You didn't sign up for getting kidnapped by the Penguin in a sick job offer."
He smiled a little shakily, and Danny hugged him tightly. "I'll see you around, ok?"
"Thanks, Jack."
Why the hell was he so broken up over a guy who didn't even know his real name?
XxXxXx
Thursday began at the sight of the Joker prowling around. Danny let his jaws drop and released a hiss that made fully grown ghosts back the hell up, following it by the unearthly rattle he learned from Fright Knight.
The Joker backed up. Swallowed. Put on his trademark grin, and stepped back in. Albeit a little further from the front counter. "Now, now, kid, I'm a clown! Kids love clowns, yeah?"
Another hellish hiss echoed from behind the Joker. He paled, then stiffened as a massive blue hand was on his shoulder. "Perhaps this isn't the best place for you."
The Joker laughed shakily. "Hey, pal, I'm-"
Plasmius' glowing eyes flashed, and the Joker's started glowing red. The clown's face fell slack. "This isn't the best place for you."
"This...isn't the...best...place....for me." The Joker slurred.
"Leave." Commanded the vampire ghost.
The Joker staggered out drunkenly. Plasmius turned his attention to the counter. "Can I get a large black coffee? With a shot of espresso, please."
Danny cocked his head and tried not to laugh at Kristen's face when the fruitloop sat next to her. "Sure. Kristen?"
She looked at him, wide-eyed. "He's not going to hurt or overshadow you. Right, Plasmius?"
"Of course," he agreed magnanimously.
Plasmius drank his coffee at the store. He bought a blueberry donut. Gave him a $500 tip. "The number hasn't changed. Call me, and we'll see about moving you before Batman and his friends crash the place."
"I can fly, you know."
"He has multiple jets. And besides, from what I've heard, Wraith is helping him track down the big, scary meta."
"Thanks for the warning, Plasmius. I'll think about it."
The elder halfa nodded and left, phasing through the door.
Jazz was hunting him. Jazz was hunting him. His sister was- it wasn't fair. He left her the entire territory of Amity Park. She had the undivided love and attention of everyone in Amity Park. Inside the roll of $100 bills was a business card.
He pocketed it, and yet another super came in. Plasmius was right. They were hunting him. Red Robin frowned at the menu.
"Hey, do you still have the mint hot chocolate?"
"Yeah," he said quietly. "Small, medium, or large?"
"Large, please." Red Robin waited in silence while his drink was prepared. "So, Jack Walker isn't your real name."
Danny shook his head. "Nah. If you're going to arrest me, might as well just call me Danny."
He observed him carefully, then nodded. "I'll see you around, Jack. Try to keep out of trouble."
XxXxXx
"He isn't a threat!" Tim snapped.
"You deliberately disobeyed me! We agreed not to approach the person who can use mind control!"
"You agreed, B. Wraith, just leave him alone, ok? He just wants to make his coffee and leave every day."
"Is he my brother or not?"
"Does it matter? He left." Tim snapped. "That guy is just trying to make a living. He's not going to hurt anyone who doesn't start trouble."
Jazz embraced both Sam and Tucker, feeling real, true hope for the first time in years. "It's Danny! Guys it's Danny, we can bring him home!"
"None of you are leaving until we can bring him in for questioning."
Jazz's face hardened, then she agreed. That was alright. She had a secret weapon. Two of them, actually.
XxXxXx
"Jack, you've got people asking for you."
Danny groaned.
"Sorry Jack, you're the one who made the rule about people in weird suits with guns."
"Yeah, fair. Thanks."
He stepped out behind the counter, and froze. "Danny?"
He swallowed. Blinked to make sure he was seeing what he thought. "Mom? Dad?"
For the first time in 5 years, he was embraced by his parents. He didn't feel bad about the tears. He couldn't. "Let's go home, baby. Let's go home."
"I can't. I- I'm not..."
"It's ok, Danny. We know now. About Phantom."
"I'm so sorry we made you feel your only recourse was running away."
XxXxXx
He had started to get the idea Jazz might be hunting him in a violent way. The only violent thing was the force of her hug, and the way her nails dug into his shoulder to keep him close.
Danny couldn't quite understand her over the blubbering, but that was fine; he had always been a sympathetic crier. Although the way all of the bats, Constantine, and Superman were shifting awkwardly, trying not to watch them while watching them, was pretty funny. It got worse when Sam kicked Batman in the knee and joined them. Then there was Tucker, and his mom, and- his dad was squeezing them tight enough to pick them up a few inches.
It took a ridiculous amount of time to get them all to stop crying- and Danny included himself. He had a good 5 years of believing he did nothing but harm to his human(ish) family to cry over.
"So just to be clear. You are not a villain."
"Yep. Used to be in the hero game, even."
"And you're not going to start being a villain."
He chuckled. "No, I won't."
"For now, your stay in Gotham is fine, though you should start using your legal name. If you don't like Danny Fenton, you can always legally change it. Can we call on you if we get a ghostly threat closer to home?"
"Absolutely."
"Wait! Danny, you're going home, though, right? With us?" Jazz asked hopefully.
"I'd like to visit," he said quietly, "but Jazz- I scare humans. Pretty badly."
"The ghosts negotiate with you, they listen to you! And people- look, now that Phantom's not there stopping fights by talking to ghosts before they start, or helping the new dead solve their murders- well. Phantom has been missed."
"Jazz, you do all that too. And you calm humans down way better than I ever have, so-"
"Danny," Tucker interrupted, "please, buddy. You don't have to stay, just come for a week. Things are different now. Promise."
And. Well. Even if they were wrong, he missed them. So much. "I can do a week."

So let me write this down before I finally fall asleep (it's been a long day).
Casper high has clubs, most of them are just teams, like football, basketball, but there's also the science club, the band club, the Phantom fans club... However there's also an astronomy club, the students weren't even aware it existed until someone found some reports about the activities, all of them written by the club president, the sole member of the club that is usually there after 8.30 every Friday, the activity is up to date, the club is active, Mr. Lancer is the one receiving the reports, monthly.
No one knows who he is, most of the events of the club are always ignored by the rest of the students, so when Sam found a flyer and told Danny that the event could be interesting in an attempt to cheer him up, his answer was not what she had been expecting.
Now, I'm off to bed, good night!

Thank you @floralflowerpower for the idea of drunk college Danny being an actual troll...I now present to the void:
Hold My Beer, I Got This
Danny is excited.
Not quite right.
Danny is practically vibrating out of his spot in the back of the old pickup truck belonging to one of the seniors. It's the last Friday before spring break and the astronomy club is pulling an all-night watch party to celebrate the end of midterms.
Jason, treasurer of the UIC Astronomy Club, senior and overall chilled out teddy bear of a giant, was in charge of acquiring and delivering the alcohol for tonight's events. Danny having had a growth spurt right before graduating Casper High, ending up being almost as tall as his dad and, despite being lithe and lean, was still the strongest out of the club so was therefore wrangled into helping move the beverages. He also was sitting in the bed of the pickup truck because the backdoor didn't always stay shut and he had to keep an eye on it.
"How're you holding up, back there?" Jason called through the little window at the back of the cab.
"Fine," Danny called back, "How much longer?"
"We're comin' up to the turn off now, it's gonna get real bumpy in a minute." Jason says, slowing down for the turn. The truck rolls smoothly off the paved road and onto a dirt track. If the ride so far was mild, this was riding a mechanical bull on a boat in a storm.
The truck bounced and tilted and shuddered and jerked along the path. The rattling of the bottles picks up to an alarming level as everything bounces chaotically in time with the squeaking suspension.
Danny bounces once too hard and winces from the pain shooting up his tailbone. Rubbing the sensation out, he let's gravity fall off him and floats off the seat. Not like anyone is around to see him floating or his eyes shining green.
The truck hits a particularly bad pothole and the door of the bed falls open, the crates of beer shift.
Danny huffs a few choice words as he lunges forward, hand extended. There's a brighter glow to his eyes as his hand takes on the familiar green aura. The door snaps shut and the crates shift back to their spot.
"Take it easy, we nearly lost everything," Danny says, knocking on the glass as he resettles in his spot to hover again.
"Sorry man," Jason says. "Just another mile to go."
Danny rubs his temples, sighing as dramatically as possible. It's gotten easier over the years to use his powers in his human form, at least if it affected him directly. Moving multiple objects telepathically was still a bit of a challenge. Mostly because of how draining it felt.
Jason does slow down for the last mile and they don't hit anymore pot holes thankfully. He pulls up and reverses into a spot at the end of several other cars and trucks.
Danny stands up and stretches feeling his back pop as gravity settles on him again. He can see the rest of the group setting up lounge chairs and tables a little ways off from them. There's a group of girls unloading blankets from the trunk of a car two over from them.
The truck rocks as Jason slams his door, moving to the end of the bed.
"Geeze Fenton, how'd you get this to close so tight?" Jason asks, shaking the door.
"Uh I just pulled it shut," Danny says, moving closer to look at the door. "Must've caught it on a bounce and jammed it."
He turns his hand intangible and flicks the lock. The door falls open into Jason's hand.
Jason looks at the door, looks up at Danny, looks down, blinks. He shrugs. "Pass me a crate."
Danny shifts one of the crates closer and into Jason's hands. He walks off to the tables. Danny picks up two crates and jumps out onto the ground.
There's a catcall whistle from the girls.
"Ow ow, Fenton's got moves," Kat calls over to him. She's a sophomore with a side buzz and shoulder length gray-blue hair with neon pink tips. She must have just dyed it. Danny remembers it being electric purple last week.
Danny feels his cheeks warm ever so slightly but calls back, "You're just mad you can't touch this."
"Damn straight I am," Kat says with a flair.
Danny snorts. "If you're straight, then Kansas ain't flat."
Kat mock gasps clutching at her shirt in dramatic fashion. The three other girls start giggling.
"You wound me so!" Kat swoons and falls onto Jessica whose smiling bright. The other two are openly laughing at them.
Kat grabs onto Jessica's shirt. "Say it ain't so!"
"Sorry baby, you're not straight," Jessica giggles.
Danny turns around and leaves the adorable pair alone. It doesn't take much longer to finish setting up.
40 minutes to sunset, the party is all set up. The sky is clear, not a single cloud for miles. The week leading up had a warm spell so with the lack of wind, the evening is just this side of cool to be considered pleasant. All in all it's a perfect night for stargazing and camping.
There's a drink in everyone's hand, a blanket on everyone's lap to fight off the early spring bite of the evening, tents are set up next to the cars, and soft music playing from one of the small portable speakers. It's one of the few nights that the freshmen can drink in a relatively controlled environment. Some of the seniors actually care about how plastered the kids get and try to prevent things from getting out of hand. Which means a lot of the younger group is relaxed enough to experiment.
Danny sits between Suzy and Miles with a beer in hand. It's not the first time he's drinking, but it will be the first time he can really let loose around his new friends. Suzy is a freshman like Danny and is soft in the way small kittens and summer flowers are soft. Miles is a junior and uses a slightly different breed of sarcasm that bites and can come off unusually cruel. Danny has since learned in the months of being in the club that Miles isn't actually mean just sharp and he never pushes on anyone's sore spots.
As the sun dips lower, Danny snaps a quick photo to send to Tucker and Sam.
"Oooh," Miles says, leaning into Danny's space a bit. "You texting you're girlfriend~?"
"She's not my girlfriend," Danny says without looking up from the responses.
"Yeah, layoff," Suzy butts in, shifting her weight to lean on the arm rest of her chair. "He's clearly texting his boyfriend."
Danny actually snorts at that one. "Still wrong."
Suzy arches a perfectly plucked eyebrow. "You make the face."
Danny slides the phone away to look up confused. "What face?"
"You know, the face" Suzy gestures at his general facial vicinity. "The face everyone makes when they're talking to someone they love. Look, even Kat makes the face."
Danny and Miles turn to the girl in question and watches her watch Jessica tell her story. Danny turns back to Suzy.
"I was texting my best friends from home, we've known each other since grade school and have gone through everything together." Danny explains.
Suzy hiccups. Her wine sloshes in her cup. "You still make the face."
"How much have you drank so far?" Miles asks. He leans across Danny and gently pulls the cup out of her hand. She doesn't fight it but she pouts.
It takes a moment, her face scrunched up in thought. "It's my second glass." She announces.
"Uh huh, and my best friend is a werewolf." Miles snarks.
Suzy pouts harder.
Miles takes a sniff of the drink and dumps the liquid into the grass. "I'm cutting you off for an hour."
"What? Why?" Suzy squeaks.
"Because someone spiked the wine with vodka." Miles gets up and walks over to the drink table.
Danny pats her hand consoling.
"It really is just my second glass."
There's a bit of a commotion at the drink table and two of the bottles of wine are dumped into the grass.
"Bad luck you got the bad wine," Danny says.
"Dumb." She says and flops back into her chair. "Real dumb."
Miles returns and passes her a water bottle. She takes it petulantly and sips from it.
Once he's situated, Miles leans into Danny's space to whisper conspiratorially, "Suzy's drink was spiked but she's also a ridiculous lightweight so we try and curb it early to prevent it from being worse later."
Danny blinks at the information. "Good to know."
"Alright, can I have everyone's attention please!" Connor, president of the club and a senior, towers over the group from where he's standing in the center of the circle of chairs. His blonde hair is loose and messy from its usual slicked look but it doesn't detract from the intensity of his gaze on the group. The quiet chatter dies off.
"So a few words," Connor continues. " First, congrats on getting through midterms and ready for spring break!"
The crowd erupts into cheers and feet stomping from some of the guys. Connor raises a hand and it gets quiet again.
"Second, as this is the first all-nighter party of the year, I want to establish a few ground rules. Yes we're letting the minors drink, no this does not mean y'all can get shitfaced. We're almost an hour away from the nearest hospital, and I do not want to call 911 for a helicopter evac to get someone's stomach pumped. Are we clear?"
The group shouts it's agreement.
"Good. Similar note, the tents are for sleeping in. And sleeping only. If anyone gets up to anything, everyone here will hear you. And you will take the walk of shame home and will no longer be welcomed in the club. Keep your pants on and your shirts tucked."
"But what if my shirt is already untucked?" Danny asks.
There's a smattering of giggles.
"Then you can do the half walk of shame to the cooler." Miles says.
"What why?" Danny asks.
"Cause you're gonna need to run cold water on the burn your terrible fashion sense gave you." Miles smirks.
There's a couple of groans around the circle. Danny shoves Miles' shoulder. "At least I didn't take my fashion cues from a 50's lumberjack."
"Don't diss the plaid," Miles mock shouts. "Plaid is sexy!"
"Boys," Connor snaps. Danny and Miles fall silent. A beat passes.
"The last ground rule is to be mindful of nature. There's no bathrooms out here."
Danny zones out to pull out his phone. There's a few unread messages from Tucker and Sam. He glances through them and types out a message to confirm what time he's coming home the following day.
"Are we clear?" Connor asks the group.
The affirmative goes around.
Connor nods and his stiff posture relaxes a bit. "Onto the third and final point. It is March 13th and we are celebrating the finding of Uranus so happy birthday to Uranus!"
The group chorus' the sentiment and takes a drink.
"Alright that's enough from me," Connor says and moves to take his seat.
Danny turns back to Miles. "Is he serious about the bathroom thing?"
"Oh, yeah. We're in the middle of bum fuck nowhere, nearest building is at least 6 miles away, and the nearest usable bathroom is at least 10." Miles takes a swig from his bottle of beer. "This is honestly more organized than the last few when we've tried this."
Danny wrinkles his nose in distaste and starts thinking of ways to avoid it. Mostly of the flying out of the area kind of avoidance if he can help it.
The party quiets down a little as the sun sets and the stars come out. It's not 10 minutes later that someone changes the music station and everyone is on their feet dancing.
Three beers later, Danny finds himself nursing his fourth while listening to some of the guys goofing off near one of the drink tables.
"So check-it," Josef says, putting his hands out, one hand holding his beer and other splayed out. He proceeds to flip his thumbs in such a way that they disconnect from the knuckle.
"Oh gross."
"Duuuude."
"Doesn't that hurt?"
"Nah, it's just a thing I can do," Josef says, wiggling his thumbs back and forth.
"Wait, I got one better." McKenzie says, brushing his hair back. He wiggles his ears. Together in tandem and then apart in opposite motions.
"Duuude."
"Oh shit man that's dope."
"What no way."
"I've seen wiggly ears before, but not that wiggly."
Danny giggles and wobbles into Robbie who catches him by the elbow.
"You're like a human cat," Danny giggle snorts. "Wiggly ears."
"Yeah? What can you do, Fenton?" McKenzie asks, crossing his arms.
Danny takes a swig of his beer and then holds it to the side. "Hold my beer, I got this."
Miles takes the offered bottle.
Danny, very dramatically runs his hands through his hair and then makes it flutter and billow in some unseen wind. A few longer strands tickle his nose and he fights back a sneeze.
"I don't get it," Robbie frowns.
"Holy-" McKenzie swears colorfully and steps back. "There's no wind! How are you doing that?!"
The rest of the group of boys noticeably freak out and start drawing attention.
Danny giggles and shakes his head setting his hair adrift like he's underwater before it settles into his natural mess. He turns to Miles and makes grabby hands for his beer.
Miles squints at him.  "Uh no, that's some physics defying shit right there. How?"
Danny frowns at the older boy. He tilts his head to the side, a manic grin creeping over his face. There's a glimmer in Danny's eyes.
Miles blinks and takes a half step back, grip loosening on the neck of the bottle. Danny steps forward and catches the falling bottle easily. Danny twists so as not to collide with the boy and then steps back into his spot.
Danny takes a sip of his drink with a smug smirk.
"How?!" Miles repeats with emphasis.
"Okay," Danny says, looking around the group gathering. "You all know I'm from Amity Park, yeah?"
"That fake ghost town?" Robbie asks.
Danny rolls his eyes. "Not fake, ghosts are actually a very real thing due to the high levels of ambient ectoplasm."
"Ectoplasm isn't a real thing," Josef says, crossing his arms.
"Uh, yeah it is," Danny frowns before finishing the bottle. He glances at where the bin for the empties is. 20 feet and Sophie and Suzy are in the way.
"Soph! Suz!" Danny calls over. The girls look up as does half the group. Danny gestures them to step to the side. They oblige. He lobs the bottle and it lands squarely in the bin.
"Kay so ectoplasm," Danny starts but stops when he realizes they're all staring at him in shock. "What?"
"HOW?!" Miles repeats loudly and with gesticulating arms.
"I aimed?" Danny shrugs and grabs another beer. The last one is already starting to burn through his system and the buzz is fading.
"You should maybe slow down," McKenzie says.
"I'm fine, it's not really hitting me." Danny says.
"Fine, sobriety test." Miles says, gesturing.
Danny rolls his eyes. "You want me to walk a straight line?"
"Yes."
Rolling his eyes dramatically, Danny puts down the bottle. He perks up. "I'll do you one better."
Danny proceeds to a handstand and, using some minor flight powers to stay steady, walks around the drink table. Standing upright, he grabs his bottle and drinks.
Miles is staring at Danny as if he's not human. Actually, Danny glances around and realizes, the entire group is staring at him.
"What?" Danny cries out. "He started it."
"And you decided to show off." Josef says.
"Pffft cause you didn't believe me about ectoplasm." Danny snarks.
"Wait, is that why your freckles glow?" Anjie asks, stepping closer.
"My what now does what?" Danny asks intelligently.
"You're freckles glow." Anjie steps closer. "Bright, ectoplasmic green."
Danny blinks. "I didn't know they did that." He shrugs. "I mean probably? I did spend the last four years living above an interdimensional portal. My house probably has the highest concentrations of ectoplasm radiation this side of the zone."
"Are you saying ghosts are real?" Robbie asks. "Cause I ain't buyin' it."
Anjie rolled their eyes. "Dude, I grew up on the far side of Elmerton, I watched the city of Amity Park disappear and then come back. I've seen glowing floaty people. And I watched some of the fights between Inviso-Bill an-"
"Phantom." Danny cuts in.
The group turns to him.
"His name is Phantom." Danny says before chugging his beer and lobbing the empty bottle into the bin. It lands with the clang of glass on glass but still perfectly into the can.
"Why are you so defensive about it?" Connor asks from where he's approached the group.
Danny shrugs, crossing his arms. "He's saved my life more times than I can count, the least I can do is call him by his chosen name."
"Wait, can we get back to the interdimensional portal thing?" Josef asks making a rolling motion with his hand.
"Uh, my parents punched a whole into reality connecting it to, what my friends and I dubbed, the Ghost Zone."
"HOW?!?" Miles repeats again, sounding only slightly unhinged.
Danny squints at him. "Did I break you?" He turns to the group and points at Miles. "Did I break him?"
Miles makes a growling frustrated whine.
"I literally could not even begin to explain the science behind it." Danny says.
"That still doesn't answer how you can do to your hair what you did." Mckenzie says. He blinks, his face pinching in an odd pout.
Danny puts a hand out placating. "We know what you mean."
"I don't," Connor says.
Danny sighs and runs his hand through his hair sending it into billowing movement. "Tada ghost hair."
There's a beat of silence.
Danny makes jazz hands.
The group collectively lose their minds. Anjie simply cackles from their spot at the front.

After constant badgering from Jazz to make some friends, Danny sets up an astronomy club at Casper High. It goes somewhat well.
ill be reblogging the awesome art made by my artists @somnomly and @lanaecomics right after this post! and heres an excerpt, bc i was having trouble fitting one into the summary:
There’s a knock on metal. Danny looks up to see a punk goth girl leaning on the door, one hand in the pockets of her jacket and a slight smirk on her face. Her purple spider backpack could be dragging on the floor if she took her hand out of her pocket.
“What’cha guys doing?” she asks, coming in and handing a sheet of paper to Mr. Lancer. “Sorry it’s late, my mom was being weird about it.”
“It’s alright, Ms. Manson. Today’s a trial period of the astronomy club,” Mr. Lancer answers, taking the paper gently and setting it on his desk to address later. “Mr. Fenton here needs some more members to make an official club, so it’s not one on paper yet.”
“Oh, sounds cool. I’ll sit in for today.”
That’s all she says before she walks up to Danny’s table and flips a chair, setting it on the tiled floor in a swift movement. She tosses her backpack onto the table and sits down with her stomach facing the back of the chair, resting her hands and chin on the top. She scoots up to him with annoying creaks, watching him over his shoulder.
Danny feels self conscious.

Let’s Play Pretend
College fic.
Joy surprises Castel at college and gets more than what she bargained for.
[Prologue]  1
Graduation was right around the corner and the two teens had been preparing to move onto the next chapter of their lives. College! Joy had been looking forward to college since winter break--new friends, new classes, new parties, new everything! Castel on the other hand was not as ecstatic, he still felt like he’d be the outcast but it would be a nice change of scenery. And who knows maybe it’ll be different than high school.
Applying for colleges hadn’t been very stressful at least not for Castel. He only had one college he wanted to go to and that’s the only one he applied to. He felt no pressure, no anxiety, he wasn’t worried in the slightest. It wasn’t until he was helping Joy with her resume that the fears started to creep into his mind.
She showed him all the pamphlets from all the colleges she was going to apply to--there had to be at least ten! She was rattling on about the art programs at each school, the vast variety of clubs she was planning on joining, and so on. Her voice became white noise in his mind as his eyes scanned over pamphlet after pamphlet.
“What’s this one?” He asked picking up a pamphlet for the community college just up the road.
Joy had blinked and smiled, “Oh I’m applying there as well.”
“What for?”
She cocked her eyebrow and smirked at him, “It’s my safety school silly.”
“Safety...school?” He asked giving her a puzzled look.
“Yeah you know just in case my first three choice schools don’t want me,” she says with a shrug.
Safety school? Choice schools? He didn’t have any of that! He didn’t even have a second choice school as a back-up plan! His panic started to set in. What if they didn’t want him at the University of Washington? What would he do? Where would he go!? The deadlines for all school applications was nearing and he had no plan!
He tried to drown out his worries by helping Joy with her applications...but it just made him feel worse. He offered to type up her resume for her while she worked on some admission essays. His heart dropped into his gut as he typed her very LONG resume. From the time they were freshmen Joy had been involved in just about everything. She was in the environmental club, the theater club, the photography club, the yearbook club, and she was president of the pottery club. Her grades remained in the A to B range giving her a very high GPA, not to mention she had been the school’s mascot for all four years. She had played softball the last two years of high school and she was their class rep. on the student council. She did all of this and still managed to find time on the weekends to volunteer at the Soup Kitchen and go to the state parks and pick up trash with her environmental group. She’s donated blood three times already and she worked at the YMCA all four summers. She kept up with all her clubs, sports, grades, job, and volunteering hours and STILL made time for her friends and a few relationships! Joy was beyond the meaning of well-rounded student.
Typing her resume made him cringe as he thought back to his almost a page and a quarter resume. He hadn’t been as involved as Joy had been, but he did have a few things to put on his resume. His GPA was extremely high, a near perfect 4.0 due to the fact of the time he spent reading and studying. He was in the concert band all four years playing the trumpet--an instrument he’s come to love. He was president of the debate team and he was apart of the robotics club and the astronomy club. He had worked with his uncle for most of the summers taking care of the maintenance the rental houses needed. He got to learn some life skills in construction, heating and air condition, plumbing and all that kind of stuff. It was hard manual labor, but it paid very handsomely and it made him feel good to know he was learning some actual skills. He could speak three languages fluently--English, German, and French. He’s grateful his mom fulfilled his request to teach him her language when he asked at age of six. He did take silver at the National Debate Convention but other than that...
Ugh! He growled as he stared at his reflection in his mirror. He had plenty of time to do other things! He could have volunteered to pick up trash along the roads, or help out with Toys for Tots, or or or something! He should have been more like Joy, outgoing and giving. No he was living only for himself like the selfish jerk he is. He huffed and sat on his bed--the groove he was wearing into the carpet becoming very prominent. He needed to not worry, it wasn’t like there was a whole lot he could about it now.
“You’ll be fine Tiger,” Mikey had said when his little brother called him to find some solace.
“But I’m not a well rounded student,” Castel huffed and ran his fingers through his messy curls.
“That’s ok sure they take that stuff into account, but with your GPA and the clubs you were involved in it will be enough.”
Despite Castel’s worrying his brother had been right. A few weeks later a big fat envelope came in the mail with Castel’s name on it--his acceptance package. Relief swept over him and his parents, he was off to the University of Washington! He ran over to tell Joy the good news just as she was running out of her house to see him. They ran into each other on the sidewalk, both babbling on talking over one another until they both started laughing.
“You first,” Joy giggled.
“I got into the University of Washington!” Castel all but yelled with a grin so wide it looked like his face was about to split in half.
“That’s awesome Cassie!” Joy had squeaked and bounced on her toes.
“Now you,” he grinned.
“I got into my first choice school! The University of Georgia!”
“That’s fantastic Jo-jo!”
They both screamed and hugged each other. It wasn’t until after their embrace and everything had settled down that it hit him. He was going to be living 2,695 miles from his best friend. Could he even do that? Well not that he really had a choice. How could he live so far from her? They’ve spent their entire lives living just a three minute walk from one another.
When both their families went out together later that evening to celebrate he brought it up to her. Her face crumbled. She hadn’t thought about how much they were going to be giving up by moving away to college. She had been so excited for this new chapter of her life that she forgot what the other chapters held--him. So they did what Castel does best, plan.
They made a plan to have weekly facetimes and stay in touch as much as possible. They’d spent the holidays together when they were home and during the summers as well. If they stayed in touch through those few months of being away it wouldn’t hurt so bad, right? They could do this, after all they’ve been through worse.
She was the first to move in. Since he still had a few more days before he’d have to leave he offered to help out. The trip down south was long but not boring in the slightest. They sang songs and played games, just as they always have. He helped move her in and make sure everything was perfect. She hung up her heart shaped lights and he helped her dad set up the television. After a few hours everything was moved in and her dorm was all set to go for her classes in two days.
Her parents offered to buy everyone dinner and went out to grab some Chinese food from Main street. This left the two teens alone in her dorm room. They both sat on the couch staring at her little pink television screen. Her roommate had yet to show face which was a little unsettling to Castel, but Joy paid no mind.
They sat in silence starting at the black screen. This was the last time they’d see each other for a long time. He wanted to say something, anything. But he couldn’t seem to get his mouth to work. While he mentally scolded himself, she placed her hand over his--intertwining their fingers immediately.
He blinked feeling her tiny hand squeezing his tough callused one. When he looked at her she was smiling sadly, unshed tears shinning in her eyes.
“I’m going to miss you dork,” she said.
Tears instantly filled his own eyes.
“I’m going to miss you too goober,” he smiled weakly.
She sniffled and moved closer to him on the couch.
“Nothing will change between us,” she said although it sounded like she was reassuring herself more than him.
He nodded, “I know it won’t.”
“We’re only a phone call away from each other,” she said squeezing his hand tight.
“You ever need anything you just call me,” he said squeezing back. “Homework help, friend issues, you name it just call me and I’ll be there.”
She smiled and wiped her eyes, “Same goes for you Casper.”
“No that’s alright,” he shook his head smiling teasingly. “I’ve seen what your math work looks like I think I’ll manage on my own.”
They both giggled and laughed before falling into comfortable silence again. He looked up at her smiling lovingly. He really is going to miss her. He opened his mouth to say something but was cut short by her lips. It was a quick chaste kiss, and it was nothing new. They shared a little kiss here and there in greeting or saying good-bye, nothing ever heated or beyond a quick peck. It was nothing new at all...yet when she grants him this little smooch it causes something to stir in him.
In milliseconds her lips were gone and he instantly missed her warmth, but he said nothing as butterflies spun wildly in his gut making it do flips. She sniffled and smiled at him.
“I love you dork-a-doo,” she said weakly.
He felt himself nod and smile back, “I love you too J-bird.”
It had a few days since he had helped her move in, yet her sweet taste was still on his lips. As he lied on his bed in his dorm staring at the ceiling in the darkness of his room, he ran his tongue over his lips. They still tasted like her strawberry lip gloss, so sweet and alluring and taunting...it was unfair! He huffed a sigh and flopped onto his side, he missed her something awful. And now just before they’d be separated for several months she awoke these feelings, feelings he had long buried deep within himself years ago.
He closed his eyes willing himself to sleep. It’d be alright, he wouldn’t lose her to this separation. They’d stay in contact and soon they’d be home for thanksgiving break. He’d pour himself into his school work and maybe join a few clubs and that would be enough of a distraction. The distance and some distractions would help him to smother out these feelings for her. College was going to be a great thing for both of them.

Day 3 - Family/Friends
AO3
Danny Fenton has always been a freak.
He was the kid with the weird ghost-obsessed parents. The one who was too lazy, too eager, too different. Who chattered about space if given the chance and with friends just as freaky as him. Dash’s favorite punching bag.
He had a weak demeanor but somewhat good grades. Still, no one really paid too much attention to him. He was on the bottom of the social ladder for a reason after all.
Then he vanished. Didn’t show up for school day after day.
By the end of the first week some people had noticed and rumors floated about.
He got transferred to another school.
He ended up sick of his weirdo family and ditched.
He died.
He joined a gang.
His parents finally did something to him.
On and on and on. Tons of rumors and theories about why Fenton was missing. But no one was curious enough to actually ask the people who would have the correct information. The teachers, his freaky friends and his busybody of a sister.
Fenton came back one month after he went missing.
He looked the same as he always did. He didn’t seem sick or scarred. He wasn’t suddenly braver or more popular or any different from before. This made the most nosy of the students curious. Why had he been gone then?
Not even Star and Mia could find out what had happened, the self-appointed queens of gossip.
Everyone was silent on the matter.
It would take months for anyone to know what had happened that time Danny Fenton skipped school for a month straight. And by then, it wouldn’t matter. Not really.
Danny Fenton was the same meek freak he’s always been though.
Except he really wasn’t.
He got incredibly clumsy for one. A lot of people learned that every fragile thing he handled was bound to get broken eventually.
He got banned in Science, Art and got kicked out of the Astronomy club.
Sarah swore when asked, the moment Fenton had cried when he somehow broke the only telescope the club had, a freaky chill swept up the room.
No one really took it seriously.
He got even quieter. Only ever speaking up when Dash got into his business.
Mikey said his eyes glowed from time to time if Dash was too rough on Fenton.
It was just a trick of the light his friends told him.
Heightened nerves. Dropping everything in reach, even his clothes. Stress visibly piling up. The sudden, growing, distance between Fenton and his friends.
The little things would pile up in hindsight. Details that together, would’ve let anyone know the truth. If only they had looked closer. Cared a little more.
If only they knew the whole picture.
If only it hadn’t fallen on the wayside when ghosts turned out to be real. Something that used to exist only in fiction had become a threat to their lives.
Students on Casper High became withdrawn and nervous. No one remembered to gossip about Fenton’s weirdness for the longest time as the world changed around them.
Time went on.
The Fentons weren’t openly seen as freaks anymore. They were the only source of means to fight back against the ghosts. Of self defense.
The school implemented ghost drills and did many assemblies about what was ectoplasm, what to do and what not to do in a ghost attack, how to act when confronted with a ghost, etc.
Fenton Wrist Rays became commonplace, just like the lipstick lasers and the translators.
Amidst adapting and surviving, as they tried to maintain their head above the water…
Danny Phantom appeared.
No one knew what to make of another ghost fighting its own kind at first but dead or not, Phantom showed he was one of them. A teen.
Though he was dead, a lot of the students praised him and loved it when he appeared in their school.
They weren’t blind however, how Casper High was the only place that was in favor of Phantom.
That made them all the more determined to help out and fight back against the people who insisted that Phantom was a menace and just as evil and soulless as the rest of the ghosts.
It was when the town finally saw Phantom as the awesome ghost they knew him to be and Phantom’s rep was on the rise…
...that something else was withering away.
Those few that paid close attention would still remember the mystery that was Danny Fenton.
And were witnesses to those last few months until…
It wasn’t as important as before, with the ghosts and all, but Danny Fenton had somehow become a delinquent.
He slowly dropped in grades until everything he was handed was an F, said Jace.
He rarely did his homework and slept in class all the time, said Sasha.
He was alone all the time now, said Mikey. They all became silent for a moment.
Everyone knew how Fenton and his friends had a falling out. Manson had yelled and raged in the hallway one day, while Foley held her back. Fenton hadn’t said a thing the entire time.
No one knew what the yelling was about but they hadn’t been seen talking since.
He was perpetually tired, said Star.
Like there was no life in his eyes.
He seemed to always have bandages, said Kwan the one time he joined in. Probably hiding injuries or something.
Several others confirmed it.
Scars on his arms, his legs, and everywhere visible anytime Fenton got out of P.E
Until Fenton wised up and they never saw him in the showers again, that is.
Just once, Wes had seen blood on Fenton’s clothes. But it had just been ectoplasm the next time he saw Fenton even though Wes swore it was red.
The evidence piled up and all six students wondered what was going on.
Just a week before it happened Dash showed up, having been dragged in by Kwan.
In a rare display of jitters, Dash didn’t look at any of them in the eye as he said.
Danny was always cold to the touch these days. He had reacted less and less to whatever Dash had said that day and never fought back anymore any time Dash forcefully grabbed him.
Danny wasn’t the freak from before high school but he wasn’t the clumsy nervous guy he was after missing a month either.
He was like a shell of himself.
Not a ghost. Not with actual ghosts being seen every day now.
Still…
Just one week later, Danny went missing again.
Only this time, he was never found nor he showed up in school again.
Rarely anyone connected it with Phantom’s disappearance two days later either.
They saw the Fentons and even Danny’s former friends look for him with a frantic energy, and at the same time the truth about the missing month became common knowledge.
Danny had been in an accident. He had gone into his parents’ lab and figured out how to turn on the ghost portal after it seemed like a failure.
How he spent the whole month in the hospital in a coma and with third degree burns all over his body that for some reason healed to be only visible under blacklight.
It was too late for the truth though.
What had happened to Danny Fenton? echoed in the minds of many for years to come.

Casper High’s Astronomy Club Room
Tumblr media
I FINALLY FINISHED IT! AAAHHH! I had so much fun designing the astronomy club room. Now it’s time to finally write something for the prompt! I’ll probably make an updated version of when Danny gets more comfortable and adds his own accessories to the room.
Special thanks to @dnpanimationstudioclone for recommending the galaxy lights.

Day 24: NASA- Casper High Astronomy Club
Tumblr media
Thought it would be fun to expand on the club members from one of my Danny Phantom Writing Prompts. I’m on the fence if I should write a fanfic or draw a comic to properly expand on this prompt. Which one would you be more interested to see?
https://www.tumblr.com/a-sterling-rose/711505091641982976/danny-phantom-writing-prompt-the-lack-of-a-hero
Micheal:
Position- Vice President
Ethnicity- Native American
Relationship Status- Single
Grade 11th- Junior
Aesthetic- Celestial Spacecore
Aspiring Profession- Space Historian
Fun facts:
- Believes all the ghost activity in Amity Park is actually alien as he doesn’t believe in ghosts.
- He is Navajo
- Is a totally ready to talk about aliens with anyone.
           - Totally experiences pretty privilege because of the amount of girls who are willing to listen to his ramblings.
- Prefers Star Trek over Star Wars.
- His uncle has land in Arizona that he always goes to visit during the summer to experience UFO sightings. Is totally down to bring everyone along so they can all make their findings more believable.
            - Danny doesn’t have the heart to tell him these ‘alien sightings’ in Arizona are Cowboy Ghosts.
- Doesn’t want to date anyone in Amity Park, so is waiting until college to properly look for a boyfriend.
Caitlyn:
Position- President
Ethnicity- Biracial: Filipino/White
Relationship Status- Taken
Grade 11th- Junior
Aesthetic- Whimsigoth
Aspiring Profession- Uranographer
Fun facts:
- So many people assume she’s into astrology that she learned about it just to annoy people enough to leave her alone, but ended up really liking it and does birth charts for a decent income.
              - Has an older sister, Erika, who did something similar: She learned about Christianity to ward off perverts but ended up really resonating with the religion. Erika is currently in college to become a nun.
- Doesn’t care about Star Wars or Star Trek.
- Has the voice of a trumpet.
- Is dating the former Quarterback of Casper High, Ryan White, who is away at college.
- Yes, she does carry around biodegradability golden glitter in her pockets just to toss around for pizzazz/surprise diversion.
- Blob ghosts always try to attach to her whenever they get the chance for some reason.
             - The reason is because she’s a type of liminal: a psychic to be exact. Blob ghosts are naturally drawn to her because they can sense her energy- they want to become a part of her. No, she doesn’t have special abilities beyond naturally seeing ghosts without Danny’s influence and naturally being protected from mind-control.
             - This is how Danny finds out he unintentionally made the entire City of Amity Park psychics, thus making ghost activity even more prevalent. Vlad moving to Amity Park just makes Amity Park more noticeable to stronger entity's. This is why ghosts are still not believed despite the amount of ‘proof’ Amity Park citizens post online/new reports about it.
Robbie:
Position- Secretary/Treasurer
Ethnicity- Irish
Relationship Status- Taken?(context below)
Grade 10th- Sophomore
Aesthetic- Casual Spacecore
Aspiring Profession- Chemical Engineering
Fun Facts:
- Always working on a model rocket he consume builds himself.
- Cherishes the shirt Becca helped him design.
- Prefers Star Wars over Star Trek

The only one who is unbothered by this change is Walker. It doesn’t matter WHAT Danny is doing. If he’s not serving his thousand years then Walker is unsatisfied.
It ends with Vlad and Walker hashing it out(violently) over juristiction and boundaries. Danny, as a member of the living is out of Walker’s reach. Vlad as de facto human mediator, ain’t recognizing Walker’s bullshit warrant to expedite Danny to ghost court (or Walker’s ghost court anyway)the observants end up getting involved and it becomes the biggest legal case in centuries

Vlad:

When the ghosts who come to directly harass Danny, he decides he just needs to be completely honest with each of them.
Danny: Listen, I'll admit I kinda had fun with the bantering, but I want to focus on better things now. I was never really interested in any of you.
The Ghosts:
Tumblr media
The downside to this change is that whenever he does change, he always has an entourage of attention-starved ghosts following behind him. He can't even imagine how things would be if he went to the Ghost Zone.

I love the additional outcome that could come from Danny's choice ❤️
This is very true. Danny isn't completely out of the clear as there are ghosts that don't visit him enough to develop an obsession over him.
Walker would continue to try to imprison Danny as his obsession is for order(a corrupt view of order, but order nonetheless), but Danny's new ghostly entourage would definitely protect him from the Warden’s harassment. I love the idea of the trial going on while Danny has no idea what is even going on. When they do bring him in, he just offered to remove his ghost powers so he wouldn't be considered a citizen anymore. The panic wails of his entourage just made Danny more confused.
Ghost law could hold that it is unghostly to rip a haunt's(term for multiple ghosts)obsession away from them, hence what makes this case even more messy. Clockwork is amused by this timeline. The Observants are pissed, hence making Clockwork more willing to keep it stable.
There would also be ghosts who would develop a new type of obsession over Danny: Curiousity.
An example that comes to mind is Spectra. She would try to feed off his misery about being abandoned by his friends and sister, but would be shocked that she would get absolutely nothing out of Danny. Danny would just state that their goals don't line up to his anymore and that it's just a part of life before he politely excused himself away. Spectra is stunned. How the hell is he so well adjusted now? He's a teenager!
Desiree would touch Danny's chest to feel what desires he holds within his core, only to find there was nothing there. Danny was completely satisfied. He has everything he ever wanted. Desiree would pull her hand back and stare at him in awe. How was this possible?
Proper sleep and a well-balanced diet can do wonders for any age. Also, being around a healthy friend group and doing what you love helps.
How did the Phantom accomplish this? Did he merge with another ghost? Does he possess a powerful artificial? If so, did he merge it with his core? They needed to observe and figure out what had caused this power-boost so they could benefit from it as well!
Danny chose to just accept that there would be ghosts occasionally watching him while taking rapid notes about his every move. There would be feral ghost fights to earn the right to get a viewing spot outside the astronomy club window. Danny just made sure to ghost proof the room and have Vlad on speed dial, and the other members were already desensitized to ghost appearances to even care.
Vlad would be trying to get Danny to warm up to him, offering to personally fund the astronomy club a personal tour of NASA Headquarters if the boy had lunch with him every Saturday.
Vlad was estatic when Danny quickly agreed.
Vlad internally screams when Jack and Maddie tag along every single time.

Casper High’s Astronomy Club Room
Tumblr media
I FINALLY FINISHED IT! AAAHHH! I had so much fun designing the astronomy club room. Now it’s time to finally time to write something for the prompt! I’ll probably make an updated version of when Danny gets more comfortable and adds his own accessories to the room.
