at first i was thinking about oscars work with madam springs being in a secondary location from her bookstore but i think a cute idea would be putting the springs storefront in the same building as the bookshops...side by side store neighbors or something...

Eee! Today is Geek Girl Con! Really small local convention for women folk in STEM and just general nerdiness. We haven’t been to a convention in ages and I’m stoked.

People would call you communist for this (lol) but the solution for the housing crisis we have all over is to set a minimum and maximum price per square meter that you can rent/sell a place for and that maximum price per meter should be adjusted so that it never exceeds a specific reasonable percentage of local salaries. Also, governments should be tougher on places not being fit to rent. No, you shouldn't be able to rent anything less than 45m² as 'a flat', that's either a room or a storage unit.
#liveblogging my life#the actual communist answer is that we shouldn't have to pay for housing or food at all#and if we want to go on vacation there should be communal resorts that people can stay and do activities in#but since that's utopian and far-fetched#something else that i would do is to implement this same policies for food prices#food prices shouldn't be able to rise padt a certain amount#also each person should only be able to own 2-3 properties max#taking into account both stuff you buy and stuff you inherit#(idk how you factor split inheritances into that but we'd work it out)#and you should only be able to rent out one of them btw#and your rental income is split 50/50 with your local government AFTER taxes#no hoarding that money to yourself you hand some of it over to the community#you shouldn't be able to be a landlord like as a job#it should be like a side hustle that brings you some extra cash a month#but it's not able to buy you a whole house or several#oh there should also be a cap on the number of rental properties per town that are allowed to be rented out to tourists#anyway vote for me

It's just so phenomenally stupid to be sitting here trying to do everyday shit and planning for the work week ahead when it doesn't even matter anymore. Laundry groceries meal prep cleaning who the fuck cares. The lucky ones with the means to do so will get to escape the country and the rest get to deal with everything becoming too exorbitantly expensive to be able to live and also having no healthcare. Plus vaccines being outlawed (it just happened in Idaho!) and a brewing H5N1 pandemic everyone is going to ignore oh yeah and also Trump executing everyone who doesn't agree with him. Why the fuck am I having to do emails and spreadsheets at a time like this??

I keep having dreams about finding toys and the like that I really want these last couple nights... It makes me want to set up a visual library of a wishlist once I have regular internet again. I'm sure it's a waste of time and also computer space, but then that way when I want to look at my wishlist, look up a toy name bc I forgot etc without being directly tempted to spend money, I can just Do So (as opposed to shopping site wishlists).
Plus if I'm honest... I'm kind of a jpeg collector type of guy, so it just makes sense to do. < grew up on collecting pokemon cards

Honestly rich people are so fucking lame. If I was rich I would go straight to the animators of my favorite shows and offer them 5 million to make a fanservice episode of my favorite character. Oh, 5 million isn't enough? Well then here's 20 million. I want to see his dick. I want it to be published officially so everyone can see it for free. Please dedicate that episode to me so everyone knows who to thank. I want destiel to be canon and the secret scene to be released to the public. I want to see Mu Qing and Feng Xin fucking. I want an episode of Itachi Uchiha working happily on a farm tending to chickens with his shirt off. I want to see Levi Ackerman and Hanji Zoe get married or at least kiss. I am going through my commission queue right now and will probably open my commission back around this week because uhhhh zucc took my money so kinda left me short on funds this month _(:3」∠)_
Anyway, I can explain my situation I guess??? For some unknown reasons I got an unauthorized charge from Facebook last week (yes, Facebook.) On my card for 600++ bucks. I frantically called the bank to block my card because I have bills to pay and I dont want more of my cash to be taken. Turns out, facebook took my money a few days earlier for 17 bucks and I didn't notice that (there was no sms notification either) and a few days later it decided to took a large chunk of money. I'm glad I noticed it earlier but like it's not fun having money taken :/
It's still under bank's investigation and so far I got the 17 bucks back but I am not sure if I ever get the 600 bucks back.
Truthfully, I dont fucking know how and why it happened. I did not connect my bank or card info nor put my bank info to any site, yet I still got the money taken. And you guys would be surprised if I tell you that I wasn't the only person that had this happened to me because months ago this was a big issue were people get their money stolen out of the blue. And all of them have 1 in common: it came from Facebook.
Anyway, don't worry, I still can survive. I still have my basic needs and I live with my parents (justasianthings lol) so I can assure you guys that I am not in danger of being kicked out or starve. But I can't deny that it really sucks losing money that I use to pay the bills and save money for a brand new laptop zzzzz so uhh expect me to post a new commission sheet soon aha _(:3」∠)_
