10 years ago, September 6, 2014, world premiere of Tomm Moore's "Song of the Sea" took place at Toronto International Film Festival.

This is my anniversary tribute to the beautiful movie.

Boris the Dragon (My Father's Dragon)

I watched this film last night, and oh my days… I have cried so hard at this film… it's incredible, the characters are brilliant and the animation is STELLAR. It's definitely another fantastic film made by the talented people over at Cartoon Saloon, well done to the entire team involved in this amazing project, you all deserve the praise. Everyone go support Cartoon Saloon, their work is phenomenal and they deserve all the recognition in the world, and their films are so high quality, of you wanna watch a 2D film with loads of charm and emotion, Cartoon Saloon is for you.

After watching the film I just HAD to draw Boris, I love this dragon so much, he's so wholesome and when he talked to Elmer about becoming an After Dragon and not feeling like he can do it, I related to shim so much, cuz I know what it's like when people have high expectations for you and you feel you can't achieve them. Boris is an amazing character, his voice actor also did an amazing job at bringing him to life.

I've rewatched "Song of The Sea" yesterday and it has been so long since I've grew up with Cartoon Saloon in my Childhood (along with Studio Ghibli), even long before y'all heard of "Wolfwalkers".

And of course, because of how so Sorrowful and Beautiful it was when it came to one of my First Exposures about Celtic Mythos (that or maybe because I adore Folklore-based Movies a whole lot). But also of note, I really liked the whole concept behind this film for how it was build after being inspired by the Legends of Selkies (those Merfolk-type creatures that are Seals who usually take the form of a Woman like any other Mythical Creature would do like Kitsunes for instance).

But regardless, I was often glad that I always grew up knowing the Many Different Types of Merfolks including that Mer-Seal species. 

Here, I drew Bronagh and Saoirse in their Seal Forms together because given on how that they're canonically Mother and Daughter, I find it obvious on how they're together in the Last Minutes of the Film but somehow, Bronagh chose her real home where her Daughter had to stay with their Family (shame to see on how Mother and Daughter have always splitted apart but will always forever will be connected no matter the cost), here, I wanted to do a drawing of them swimming with each other.

I rewatched Song of the Sea recently and I just had to draw wind ( and a bit of warriors) in the cartoon saloon style!

I made a custom cover for WolfWalkers bc the Irish folklore collectors box is absolutely shite as an actual DVD case and I needed a cover for the case I'm putting it in

I edited all of it except the green info bit on the back and I think I did a pretty good job if I may say so :) Feel free to use it for whatever, just plz credit me if you post it online!
