I've played a handful of EEnE licensed games at this point, and was surprised to find this one was actually semi-decent. I'll have to replay the console version at some point, I can't remember if that one was any good

Ok. The body swap episode is a classic trope of any episodic TV show, and there are certainly good and bad examples, but one I want to highlight is “Bot Transfer” from the Ruby Spears Mega Man cartoon. There are a lot of pretty good aspects of it (using a decent explanation that fits with the tech theme, some nice standalone aspects, etc.). But I think my favorite detail is the voice work.

Basically, in the episode, Mega Man has his circuits swapped with Snake Man, so they’re both in each other’s bodies. It also manages to not fall into the trapping of trading voices, allowing both characters to still use the other’s voice. In most cases, this leads to the actors attempting to do impressions of the other, but here’s the thing: Mega Man and Snake Man are both played by the same actor. (Ian James Corlett)

So he largely has to keep their voices, but adapt certain mannerisms to them. Mega Man’s voice becomes a bit deeper and malicious while Snake Man’s loses all sense of menace and confidence (which is understandable considering the sudden shift in circumstances).

It’s a small thing, but it’s a pretty neat aspect of a show that’s mostly hit or miss.

you know my discover weekly isn't always that accurate to my tastes but it did also just recommend me a song that uses danny phantom (by name) as a metaphor for ghosting people in relationships so I really can't be too hard on it

yesterday i was filling out intake forms for a new therapist and they were unhinged. really hoping this is just a weird thing about their practice and not a red flag about the provider bc pickings are slim here lmao but like. this is straight up not appropriate….. this isn’t what the intake forms are for…. i literally don’t know you yet!!!!!!! i’m gonna give you my meds and a handful of current reasons for wanting therapy and the rest isn’t for the intake form!!!!!! this is WEIRD!!!!!
