A lot of things kill me about Rodney and his character development, but one of the things that devastates me the most is how determined Rodney is to be a good friend to clone Carson. He clearly still feels guilt about Carson's death and feels like he wasn't a good friend the first time around, but for fucks sake, he going to do it it right this time.

Day to Night Barbie was notable in a way because she was the first Barbie to be a CEO - an aspirational career that became a cornerstone of the Barbie "can be anything" ethos that still defines the brand to this day.

But Barbie was not the only character hitting the town after a hard day of work.

Day to Night Ken was also featured, in a very nice corduroy suit. (Or at least, I think it's corduroy.) He came equipped with a credit card and the ability to swap his business necktie for a bow tie.

I find it kind of interesting that a lot of the marketing material - like this Italian ad for example - show Barbie sitting and working, and Ken just kind of wandering around.

It is also true, across almost every ad that I have seen, that there is just a lot more text attached to Barbie. She is a career woman and she can go out for a night on the town! And also, Ken is there too.

The set also included the Barbie Home & Office!

The idea, as far as I can tell, is that it was a carry case that could be flipped, so that one side was an office and the other was Barbie's bedroom. This is probably just efficient use of space, but maybe Barbie was just working from home before it was cool.
