Listen I know I'm late to this trend but I debated sharing this to be honest. I honestly didn't it would even be considered for my Wrapped but it is such an underestimation of how many times this has entered my eardrums--not just this song, but this entire fucking album and show.

This musical is just too damn good to ignore; 4 cast members, all female, badass rock songs, badass rock outfits, badass symbolism, badass love arc. badass. Period. Everyone should give this album a listen.

Honestly this song and show just makes me lose my head in the best way possible, it's so fucking underrated.

This is the seventeenth track on the Lizzie OCR

After the slaughter of her father and her stepmother, Lizzie is left with two people along with her in the house. She comes up with a story, but it’s flimsy when looked at with a fine eye.

another ✨musical recommendation✨ by yours truly featuring lizzie the musical. it's a lesbian horror rock musical. should i even go on?

in case that hasn't hooked you enough, here goes a more detailed synopsis: it's an off broadway musical starring the four women involved in the very much real lizzie borden case. yes the one from the nursery rhyme: "lizzie borden took an axe and gave her mother forty whacks; when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one."

the show starts out with the four and only characters introducing themselves as if they were before a jury in court. there's lizzie (originally played by shannon o'boyle), her sister emma (eden espinosa), their housemaid bridget (carrie cimma), who they call maggie because that was the name of the previous maid (they didn't bother to learn a new name), and their neighbor alice (ciara renee).

like it's said in the nursery rhyme, andrew borden, lizzie's and emma's father, and mrs. borden, their stepmother, were murdered. as the story goes on and all the women find themselves complicit in the murder, they go through a costume change, from their period appropriate victorian gowns to sexy punk-rock outfits, that visually reinforce the characters' transformation.

lizzie has one of the best soundtracks i have ever heard. it makes me sad how underrated this show is. it's creative, it's exciting, it's hot, it's everything. here's a trailer of the chance theater production. go watch it rn. sorry but there are no bootlegs here. then come with me give the amazing girls in this cast all the love in the world.
